Description

Pearlescent ink with strong pearlescent effect and preparation method thereof
Technical Field
The invention belongs to the field of printing ink, particularly relates to pearlescent ink capable of improving the decorativeness of a packaging material, and more particularly relates to pearlescent ink with strong pearlescent effect and suitable for paper printing. The invention also provides a preparation method of the pearlescent ink.
Background
Because the pearl ink has natural luster like mussel pearl, the printed matter of the package can show colorful color like pearly, so the package of some high-grade cigarettes and wines is usually printed by the special ink, thereby increasing the decoration of the package and improving the grade of the commodity. The pearlescent ink is prepared from pearlescent pigment and binder, and is suitable for paper printing, wherein the binder is nitrocellulose resin solution, because nitrocellulose is cellulose nitrate and is a nitric acid esterification product of cellulose, the chemical structure of cellulose is that a large amount of anhydrous glucose units are connected by ether bonds, each glucose unit can be regarded as triol, the paper component contains a large amount of cellulose which is similar to nitrocellulose, and interaction force can be formed between the cellulose and the nitrocellulose, thereby achieving good adhesion effect. In the existing pearlescent ink suitable for paper printing, a nitrocellulose resin solution of 1/16 seconds is generally adopted as a vehicle, because the nitrocellulose has low viscosity, good transparency and high drying speed, but the nitrocellulose with lower molecular weight (26000-30000) has poor wrapping capacity on the pearlescent powder, and is printed on white cardboard, the adhesion fastness is poor, and the pearlescent powder is easy to fall off. To solve this problem, the method commonly adopted by those skilled in the art is: 1. the addition amount of the pearl powder is reduced (the general content is 10-20%); 2. adopting pearl powder with smaller grain diameter; 3. the addition amount of the plasticizer in the system is increased; however, the improvement degree of the methods still cannot meet the requirement of high quality of products, and the former two methods can weaken the apparent effect of the pearl powder and cannot obtain a thick and full pearl effect, so that the decorative effect of the products is greatly reduced. There is also a method of applying a varnish layer on the pearlescent ink layer to protect the pearlescent coating layer, but this causes an increase in processing cost.
Disclosure of Invention
In order to solve the above problems, it is an object of the present invention to provide a pearlescent ink having a strong pearlescent effect, which has a strong wrapping ability with respect to a pearlescent pigment, thereby improving the adhesion of the pearlescent pigment.
The invention also aims to provide a preparation method of the pearlescent ink.
In order to achieve the aim, the pearlescent ink with strong pearlescent effect comprises the following components in parts by weight:
25 to 35 percent of pearlescent pigment
1/2% of second nitro-cotton resin liquid 25-32%
16 to 30 percent of solvent
9 to 15 percent of cellulose acetate butyrate
7 to 9 percent of aldehyde resin
0.5 to 1.5 percent of plasticizer
0.2 to 1.0 percent of adhesion promoter
0.2 to 1.0 percent of defoaming agent
The pearlescent pigment comprises pearlescent pigments with particle size ranging from small to large and distributed in a positive way, wherein the pearlescent pigments have the particle size of 0.1-10um accounting for 4-6%, the particle size of 10-30um accounting for 8-12%, the particle size of 30-45um accounting for 80-85% and the particle size of 45-60um accounting for 2-4%. (calculated as 100%)
In order to improve the drying speed of the coating, the solvent is selected from ethyl acetate and n-propyl acetate, and the ratio of the ethyl acetate to the n-propyl acetate is 1: 0.1-0.4.
In order to improve the flexibility of the coating, the cellulose acetate butyrate is preferably cellulose acetate butyrate with a molecular weight of 7-8 ten thousand.
The plasticizer is preferably dibutyl phthalate.
The adhesion promoter is preferably a polyester modified polymer.
The defoaming agent is preferably a modified silicone polymer.
The invention also provides a preparation method of the pearlescent ink, which sequentially comprises the following steps:
(1) mixing pearlescent pigment with particle size in each range with 10-15% solvent in advance according to the formula, and soaking for 30-40 min;
(2) adding 1/2 seconds of nitrocellulose resin liquid, cellulose acetate butyrate, polyaldehyde resin and the rest solvent in sequence, and stirring for 30-40 minutes at the rotating speed of 800-;
(3) adding a plasticizer, an adhesion promoter and a defoaming agent, and uniformly stirring at the rotating speed of 400-600 revolutions per minute to obtain the pearlescent ink.
According to the pearlescent ink with the strong pearlescent effect, 1/2-second nitrocellulose resin liquid is used as a connecting material, and the nitrocellulose has a large molecular weight (about 10 ten thousand), so that the inclusion of the pearlescent pigment is good, the addition amount of the pearlescent pigment is increased, and the proportion of the pearlescent pigment with large particle size can be greatly increased, so that the requirement of an ink system on the particle size of the pearlescent pigment is reduced, the variety selectivity of the pearlescent pigment is improved, and a product printed by the pearlescent ink containing the pearlescent pigment with high proportion and large particle size can obtain a thick and full pearlescent effect; in addition, the transparency of the coating can be obviously improved and the drying speed of the system can also be improved by increasing the addition amount of the polyaldehyde resin, and the flexibility of the coating can be improved by adding the cellulose acetate butyrate. The pearlescent ink can obtain strong pearlescent effect under the condition of less addition of the nitrocellulose resin liquid, has reasonable formula, easy preparation and cost saving, and is particularly suitable for printing the base paper of high-grade packaging materials.

(2) adding 1/4 and 1/8 seconds of nitrocellulose resin liquid, cellulose acetate butyrate, polyaldehyde resin and the rest of ethyl acetate and n-propyl acetate in sequence, and stirring for 30-40 minutes at the rotating speed of 800 revolutions per minute;
(3) and adding a plasticizer, and uniformly stirring at the rotating speed of 500 revolutions per minute to obtain the pearlescent ink 7.
The pearlescent inks obtained in examples 1 to 7 were printed on paper using a gravure printing apparatus, and the pearlescent inks and the prints obtained were tested, and the results were as follows:
Figure 109799DEST_PATH_IMAGE008
as can be seen from the test results of the printed products of examples 1-3 and example 7, the molecular weight of the connecting material nitrocellulose resin liquid has a great influence on the compatibility of the pearlescent pigment, the smaller the molecular weight is, the more the powder falling is serious, and the poorer the wear resistance is; as can be seen from the test results of the printed products of examples 4-6, the polyaldehyde resin has a relatively obvious effect on the brightness of the coating, the addition amount of the polyaldehyde resin is increased, which is beneficial to improving the glossiness of the product, but the powder falling is relatively serious when the addition amount exceeds a certain value; from the detection results of the products in examples 4-6, it can be seen that the cellulose acetate butyrate can improve the toughness of the coating and further improve the folding resistance, and the folding resistance of the coating is better and the wear resistance is better as the addition amount of the cellulose acetate butyrate is increased. According to the invention, 1/2 nitrocellulose resin liquid is used as a connecting material, and a proper auxiliary agent is selected, so that the obtained pearlescent ink has strong wrapping property on large-particle-size pearlescent pigment, high overall adhesion fastness, and good wear resistance and glossiness.
