Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a slide fastener and a method of manufacturing the same.
Background
Fig. 1 shows a part of a conventional slide fastener 1, in which an insert pin 3, an insert box 4, and a box pin 5 provided in the insert box 4 are provided at an end portion in a longitudinal direction of a tape 2, and the insert pin 3 is inserted into a receiving portion in the insert box 4. When the slider is pulled to the lowest position of the slide fastener 1 along the fastener element 9, the insert pin 3 is pulled out of the insert box 4, and the slide fastener 1 is separated and pulled open. The zipper is mostly used on clothes, such as jackets, down jackets and the like. In the operation of the slide fastener 1, it is often necessary to grasp the tape 2 around the insert pin 3 with one hand and grasp the tape 2 around the insert box 4 with the other hand, and perform the insertion and extraction operation of the insert pin 3.
The cloth tape 2 itself is generally soft, and in order to facilitate the insertion and removal operation, a reinforcing portion 6 such as a film or cloth is attached to the cloth tape 2 around the insert rod 3, the insert box 4, and the box rod 5 to reinforce the rigidity of the cloth tape 2. Fig. 2 schematically shows that a reinforcing part 6 is attached to the cloth tape 2, and the reinforcing part 6 may be a film, a cloth, or the like, and is fixed to the cloth tape 2 by adhesion.
In order to mount the insert rod 3, the insert box 4, and the box rod 5, a tape recess 7 is generally provided at an end portion in the longitudinal direction of the tape 2. The reinforcing portion 6 is also formed with a cutout portion 8 corresponding to the tape recessed portion 7. When the slide fastener 1 is operated by hand, a person knows whether or not his or her hand has reached the periphery of the insert pin 3 or the insert box 4 by touching the tape concave portion 7 and the cut-out portion 8.
Fig. 3 is a schematic view showing a conventional manufacturing process of a slide fastener. In the manufacturing process of the slide fastener, the fastener element 9 is formed on the tape 2 (as shown in fig. 3 (a)), the reinforcement portion 6 is attached to the tape 2 (as shown in fig. 3 (b)), and then cutting is performed, for example, using a cutter or the like to form a cutting hole for mounting the insert pin 3, the box pin 4, and the box pin 5 (as shown in fig. 3 (c)), in which the insert pin 3, the box pin 4, and the box pin 5 are mounted (as shown in fig. 3 (d)), and finally the continuous fastener tape is cut (as shown in fig. 3 (e). In fig. 3 (e), the tape 2 is formed with a tape concave portion 7, and the reinforcement portion 6 is formed with a cutout portion 8.
Since the reinforcing portion 6 is different from the cloth tape 2 in hardness, the cut-out range of the cloth tape 2 and the reinforcing portion 6 during cutting is different. This may result in the cloth tape recess 7 and the cutout 8 not being completely coincident, and the reinforcement 6 may protrude from the cloth tape 2, which may not be very accurate. Further, since the reinforcement portion 6 is relatively hard, when the reinforcement portion 6 protrudes from the tape 2, a human hand touches the relatively hard reinforcement portion 6 located at the edge of the tape recess 7 when touching the tape recess 7, and there is a sense of incongruity. When burrs or the like are present at the cut edges of the cut-out portions 8 due to cutting, there is a possibility that injury to the human hand may occur.
