All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
For simplicity and clarity of description, the invention will be described below by describing several representative embodiments. The numerous details of the examples are merely provided to assist in understanding the inventive arrangements. It will be apparent, however, that the invention may be practiced without these specific details. Some embodiments are not described in detail, but rather only a framework is presented, in order to avoid unnecessarily obscuring aspects of the invention. Hereinafter, "comprising" means "including but not limited to", "according to '8230;' 8230;" means "according to at least '8230;' 8230;, but not limited to only according to '8230;' 8230;". When the number of one component is not particularly specified hereinafter, it means that the component may be one or more, or may be understood as at least one.
The current method for determining the user interest points generally counts the user interest points through data such as a viewing history of the content, tags of the content, collections of the content, praise of the content, and comments of the content. However, statistics on the above data shows that data such as collection, approval and comment of content is very little compared with the viewing history of content, and the collection of the data has a premise in many cases: since the user views the content, data such as collection, approval, and comment of the content cannot be used as a main parameter for the user to be interested in the content, but can only be used to enhance the user's interest level in the content, and thus a parameter that can truly represent the user's interest level in the content is required.
In the examples of the present application, the content may specifically refer to multimedia content such as audio, video, and pictures, or text content such as news and articles containing characters, and may also refer to content obtained by combining video/audio/pictures and characters to contain information. In the example of the present application, the content in the various forms described above is generally presented on the screen of the user terminal in the form of a content list. Wherein each content list may contain one or more content items. Here, the content item refers to an area of a complete content in the content list, and includes: the content title, the content playing area, the content function bar area, etc., wherein the content function bar generally also includes the content label, the content comment number, the content praise number, more buttons, etc. The content list is a list composed of the content items, each content item in the content list has an index of a natural number, the index of the first content item is 0, and the indexes of the following content items are sequentially added with 1. The content display area is an area in which one or more content items in the content list are displayed. However, since the screen size of the user terminal is limited, the user terminal can usually display only 2-3 content items on the screen at the same time, and therefore, when the content list includes a large number of content items, the user can usually browse each content item of the content list by sliding the touch screen up and down or left and right. Specific presentation forms with respect to the content list will be exemplified later.
In order to solve the above problem, an example of the present application proposes a method for sending exposure data of a content item, which is applied to an application client of a user terminal for determining exposure data of a content on the application client. Furthermore, the exposure data can be sent to the application server as an important parameter for determining the user interest point, applied to the determination of the user interest point, and finally applied to the pushing of the content. The introduction of the exposure data of the content on the application client makes up the defects of the user interest point determining method well, so that the click rate of the pushed content is greatly improved, and a good pushing effect is obtained.
In an example of the present application, the exposure data may include a content identifier and a user identifier. Wherein, the content id is a unique id for distinguishing a content item, and can be used to calculate a ratio (ctr) of the click rate and the exposure of a content item; the user identifier is a unique identifier used for distinguishing different users, such as a WeChat account number, a mobile phone number, a QQ number and the like.
Furthermore, the exposure data may further include a content push algorithm, a user terminal identifier, and a user login type. The content pushing algorithm indicates which algorithm the content is pushed by, such as the amount of praise, the popularity, and the like; the user terminal identification refers to a device identification code of the user terminal; the user login type refers to what way to log in, such as WeChat login, QQ login, mobile phone number login and the like. In addition, the exposure data may further include fields such as a version number of the application client, a system version number, and the like.
Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a system structure to which a method for transmitting exposure data of a content item according to some examples of the present application is applied. As shown in fig. 1, the system of the present application includes at least: a user terminal 11, a network 12 and an application server 13.
In some examples of the present application, the user terminal 11 may be a smart terminal device such as a smart phone, a PAD, a personal computer, and a tablet computer. The user terminal 11 includes a display device, such as a touch screen. In general, various application clients, such as an application client for Tencent news and a daily flash, may be installed on the user terminal 11. The application client may obtain various types of content from the server 13 and display it to the user on its own display device. Further, in the example of the present application, the application client may further determine exposure data of the content item while displaying various content items, and transmit the determined exposure data to the application server 13.
The application server 13 is an application server corresponding to the application client, and may be, for example, an update news server or the like. The application server software in the application server 13 together with the application client software in the user terminal 11 provides services to the user, for example playing video files, news, etc. The application server 13 may be a single server or a cluster server composed of a plurality of servers.
The network 12 may include wired networks and wireless networks. As shown in fig. 1, on the access network side, a user terminal 11 may access a network 12 in a wireless manner or in a wired manner; on the core network side, the application server 13 is typically connected to the network 12 by wire. Of course, the application server 13 may also be connected to the network 12 in a wireless manner.
On the premise, based on the system structure shown in fig. 1, the present application provides a method for sending exposure data of a content item, where the method may be applied to an application client on a user terminal 11, and may be used to collect exposure data of a content item displayed on the user terminal 11 and report the collected exposure data to an application server 13, so that the application server performs data statistics and further performs personalized content push to a user according to a calculation result.
Fig. 2 shows a flowchart of a method for transmitting exposure data of a content item, which is provided by an example of the present application. As shown in fig. 2, the method comprises the following steps:
step 201: the slide listening of the content list is set to listen to a slide action and a slide stop action with respect to the content list displayed in the content display area.
In some examples, if the user wants to browse the content items hidden in the content list, the content list may be slid up and down or left and right to browse the content items hidden in the content list. The setting of the swipe listening to the content list to listen to the swipe action and the swipe stop action for the content list presented in the content presentation area may cause the application client of the user terminal 11 to respond to the swipe stop action for the content list by the user, and the function of presenting one or more content items in the content list is triggered to present the one or more content items in the content list.
In some examples, the application client of the user terminal 11 presents one or more content items in the content list in the content presentation area in response to a request to browse the content items in the content list.
Specifically, in the implementation process, the application client of the user terminal 11 may call an application programming interface of the operating system, such as a listview control of the android system, to monitor the above sliding action and the sliding stop action for the content list.
Step 202: and when the sliding stop action of the content list is monitored, determining one or more content items displayed in the content display area.
Here, when the application client of the user terminal 11 monitors the sliding stop action of the content list, the application client may determine one or more content items displayed in the content display area by calling an interface function of the operating system, that is, determine to display an identifier of the determined one or more content items in the content display area.
For example, fig. 3 shows an example of presenting content items in a content presentation area. As shown in fig. 3, 3 content items are presented in the content presentation area 301, and assuming that the indexes of the 3 content items are 1, 2, and 3 in this order, the 3 content items may be referred to as a content item 1 (302), a content item 2 (303), and a content item 3 (304). Taking content item 2 (303) as an example, it can be seen that a complete content item comprises: a title 305 of the content, a play area 306 of the content, a function bar area 307 of the content, etc., wherein the function bar of the content typically further includes a label 3071 of the content, a comment or like number 3072 of the content, a more button 3073, etc.
Further, presenting one or more content items in the content list in the content presentation area may include various forms. Fig. 4a-4c show three different content item presentation forms, respectively. It should be noted that the present application includes, but is not limited to, these three content item display forms, and the three content item display forms shown in fig. 4a to fig. 4c are not intended to limit the present application. As shown in fig. 4a, two complete content items are presented in the content presentation area 401 a: respectively content item 402a and content item 403a. As shown in fig. 4b, 3 content items are presented in the content presentation area 401 b: content item 402b, content item 403b and content item 404b, wherein the content of content item 402b and content item 404b are only shown in part, the content item 402b is shown in more than half of the area but no title is shown, and the content item 404b is shown in less than half of the area and a title is shown. As shown in fig. 4c, 3 content items are presented in the content presentation area 401 c: content item 402c, content item 403c, and content item 404c, wherein the content of content item 402c and content item 404c are only shown in part, the content item 402c is shown in less than half and no title is shown, and the content item 404c is shown in more than half and a title is shown.
Step 203: and respectively acquiring the positions of the one or more content items in the content display area.
In some examples, the obtaining the positions of the one or more content items in the content presentation area respectively may include: and respectively acquiring an upper boundary ordinate y1 and a lower boundary ordinate y2 of the one or more content items in the content display area.
For the position reference, the top boundary ordinate yt and the bottom boundary ordinate yb of the content display area are further obtained.
Specifically, the application client of the user terminal 11 may obtain a top boundary ordinate and a bottom boundary ordinate of the content display area through a corresponding interface function of the operating system, where the top boundary ordinate (which may be denoted as yt) and the bottom boundary ordinate (which may be denoted as yb) of the content display area refer to the ordinate of the top boundary and the bottom boundary of the content display area in the screen coordinate system of the user terminal 11. The upper boundary ordinate (which may be denoted as y 1) and the lower boundary ordinate (which may be denoted as y 2) of a content item in the content presentation area refer to the ordinate of the upper boundary and the lower boundary of the content item in the screen coordinate system of the user terminal 11. Here, the screen coordinate system uses a left vertex of the screen as an origin, a horizontal side using the left vertex as a starting point as a horizontal axis, and a vertical side using the left vertex as a starting point as a vertical axis. The upper boundary ordinate (may be denoted as y 1) and the lower boundary ordinate (may be denoted as y 2) of the content item refer to the ordinate of the intersection of the upper boundary and the lower boundary of the content item and the vertical axis of the screen coordinate system of the user terminal 11.
Also taking fig. 3 as an example, the screen coordinate system of the user terminal 11 uses the left vertex 308 as the origin, the horizontal side 309 using the left vertex 308 as the starting point as the horizontal axis, and the vertical side 310 using the left vertex 308 as the starting point as the vertical axis. The user terminal 11 acquires the top border ordinate 311, the bottom border ordinate 312, and the top border ordinate 313, the bottom border ordinate 314 of a certain content item, such as the content item 2 (303), of the content presentation area 301.
Still taking fig. 3 as an example, the upper boundary ordinate of the content item 303 is the ordinate of the intersection 313 of the upper boundary of the content item 303 with the longitudinal axis 310 of the screen coordinate system of the user terminal 11, and the lower boundary ordinate is the ordinate of the intersection 314 of the lower boundary of the content item 303 with the longitudinal axis 310 of the screen coordinate system of the user terminal 11.
Step 204: and when the position of one content item in the one or more content items meets a preset exposure condition, acquiring exposure data of the content item.
In some examples of the present application, the predetermined exposure condition is an exposure condition set according to an upper boundary ordinate y1 and a lower boundary ordinate y2 of one of the one or more content items and a top boundary ordinate yt and a bottom boundary ordinate yb of the content presentation area.
In some examples, the exposure conditions set according to the upper and lower boundary ordinates y1 and y2 of one of the one or more content items and the upper and lower boundary ordinates yt and yb of the content presentation area include: determining that the content item is entirely within the content presentation area, or that the content item is located at the top of the content presentation area and a title portion of the content item is within the content presentation area, or that the content item is located at the bottom of the content presentation area and more than half of the content item is within the content presentation area, according to the upper and lower boundary ordinates y1 and y2 of the content item and the upper and lower boundary ordinates yt and yb of the content presentation area.
In some instances, as previously described, if the user wants to view a content item that is not presented in the content presentation area, the content list may be slid, but the sliding distance is too small due to the randomness of the sliding speed of the content list, resulting in repeated collection. In order to avoid the problem of repeated acquisition caused by the fact that the sliding distance of the content list is too small, a top index and a bottom index are set, wherein the top index represents the index value of the content item at the uppermost part in the content display area in the content items of which the exposure data are acquired last time; the bottom index represents an index value of a lowermost content item in the content presentation area among content items of exposure data acquired last time; after the uploading of the exposure data of one or more content items in the content display area to a server is completed, updating the top index by using the minimum value in the index values of the content items in the exposure data; and updating the bottom index with a maximum of the content item index values in the exposure data.
Furthermore, the initial values of the two parameters of the top index and the bottom index are set when one or more content items are presented in the content presentation area for the first time, typically setting the initial values of both the top index and the bottom index to-1. Through setting up the top index with the bottom index has avoided the problem of the repeated collection that the small distance removed and caused, has guaranteed the accuracy of the exposure data of gathering on the one hand, has also avoided in addition on the one hand because repeated collection and the repetition that causes uploads the exposure data to the server, has improved the efficiency of application client and server, has practiced thrift network and electric power resource.
In some examples, the predetermined exposure condition may be that all contents of the content item are in the content presentation area, and specifically, the upper boundary ordinate y1 of the content item is greater than or equal to the upper boundary ordinate yt of the content presentation area, and the lower boundary ordinate y2 of the content item is less than or equal to the lower boundary ordinate yb of the content presentation area. In this case, exposure data of the content item may be acquired. This case can be described in terms of equations as: y1> = yt & & y2< = yb.
In some examples, in order to avoid the above problem of repeated capturing caused by the sliding distance of the content list being too small, after the above preset exposure condition is satisfied, it may be further determined whether the index of the content item is within the range of the top index and the bottom index, and if not, that is, the content item is not captured, the exposure data of the content item is captured.
For example, as in fig. 3, the upper boundary ordinate y1 (313) of the content item 2 (303) is equal to or greater than the upper boundary ordinate yt (311) of the content presentation area 301 and the lower boundary ordinate y2 (314) of the content item 2 (303) is equal to or less than the lower boundary ordinate yb (312) of the content presentation area 301, that is, the entire content item of the content item 2 (303) is in the content presentation area 301, and therefore, exposure data of the content item 2 (303) is acquired.
Still further, it may be further determined whether the index of content item 2 (303) is within a range of the top index and the bottom index. Specifically, the current values of the top index and the bottom index are both an initial value of-1, i.e., the index value 2 of the content item 2 is not between-1 and-1, and therefore, the exposure data of the content item 2 (303) is acquired.
In some examples, the predetermined exposure condition may be that the content item is located at the top of the content display area and the title portion of the content item is located in the content display area, and specifically, the upper boundary ordinate y1 of the content item is smaller than the upper boundary ordinate yt of the content display area, the lower boundary ordinate y2 of the content item is greater than or equal to the upper boundary ordinate yt of the content display area, and the upper boundary ordinate y1 of the content item plus the height y of the title of the content item is greater than the upper boundary ordinate yt of the content display area. In this case, exposure data for the content item may be acquired. This case may be described in particular by the formula: y1< = yt & & y2> = yt & & y1+ y > = yt.
In some examples, in order to avoid the problem of repeated acquisition caused by the sliding distance of the content list being too small, after the preset exposure condition is satisfied, it may be further determined whether the index of the content item is within the range of the top index and the bottom index, and if not, that is, the content item is not acquired, the exposure data of the content item is acquired.
For example, as shown in fig. 3, the upper boundary ordinate y1 of the content item 1 (302) is smaller than the upper boundary ordinate yt (311) of the content display area 301, and the lower boundary ordinate y2 of the content item 1 (302) is greater than or equal to the upper boundary ordinate yt (311) of the content display area 301, that is, the content item 1 (302) is located on the upper portion of the content display area 301, and at the same time, the upper boundary ordinate y1 of the content item 1 (302) plus the height y (315) of the title thereof is greater than the upper boundary ordinate yt (311) of the content display area 301, that is, the title of the content item 1 (302) is also displayed in the content display area 301, the exposure data of the content item 1 (302) is acquired.
Still further, it may be further determined whether the index of content item 1 (302) is within a range of the top index and the bottom index. Specifically, the current values of the top index and the bottom index are both initial values of-1, i.e., the index value 1 of the content item 1 is not between-1 and-1, and therefore, the exposure data of the content item 1 (302) is acquired.
In some examples, the predetermined exposure condition may be that the content item is located at the bottom of the content presentation area and more than half of the content item is in the content presentation area, and specifically, the upper boundary ordinate y1 of the content item is smaller than the lower boundary ordinate yb of the content presentation area, the lower boundary ordinate y2 of the content item is larger than the lower boundary ordinate yb of the content presentation area, and the height of the lower boundary ordinate yb of the content presentation area minus the upper boundary ordinate y1 of the content item is more than half of the entire height of the content item. In this case, exposure data of the content item may be acquired. This case may be described in particular by the formula: y1< yb & & y2> yb & &2 & (yb-y 1) > (y 2-y 1).
For example, as the upper boundary ordinate y1 of the content item 3 (304) in fig. 3 is smaller than the lower boundary ordinate yb (312) of the content presentation area, and the lower boundary ordinate y2 of the content item 3 (304) is larger than the lower boundary ordinate yb (312) of the content presentation area, that is, the content item 3 (304) is located at the bottom of the content presentation area 301, and at the same time, the portion where the content item 3 (304) is presented occupies more than half of the entire height of the content item 3 (304), the exposure data of the content item 3 (304) is acquired.
Still further, it may be further determined whether the index of content item 3 (304) is within a range of the top index and the bottom index. Specifically, the current values of the top index and the bottom index are both an initial value of-1, i.e., the index value 3 of the content item 3 is not between-1 and-1, and therefore, the exposure data of the content item 3 (304) is acquired.
In some examples, a content list presentation time timer is set; when the sliding stop action aiming at the content list is monitored, starting a content list display time timer; stopping the content list display time timer when a sliding action for the content list is monitored; and before acquiring the exposure data of the content item, determining whether the value of the content list presentation time timer is greater than or equal to a preset dwell time, and acquiring the exposure data of the content item when the position of one content item in the one or more content items meets a preset exposure condition and the value of the content list presentation time timer is greater than or equal to the preset dwell time.
Step 205: and uploading the acquired exposure data of the content item to a server so as to push the content according to the exposure data of the content item.
In some examples, the application client of the user terminal 11 uploads the acquired exposure data of the content item to the server, so that after the server receives the exposure data, a first ratio of the playing amount and the exposure amount of the content item, that is, a Click Through Rate (ctr) of the content item and ratios of the playing amounts and the exposure amounts of all the content items, that is, a total Click Through Rate (ctr), are calculated according to the exposure data and a pre-obtained playing amount, and personalized delivery is performed according to the Click Through Rate and the total Click Through Rate of a single content item.
In some instances, exposure data for multiple content items may be uploaded at once, e.g., exposure data for all content items within the content presentation area that meet the exposure condition may be collected and uploaded after a swipe has stopped.
In some examples, after traversing each currently presented content item, a new set of content items is presented in the content presentation area in response to the slide-stop action of the content list, wherein the new set of content items includes one or more content items, and jumping to step 202.
In some examples, to avoid the above problem of repeated acquisition due to the short sliding distance of the content list, the values of the top index and the bottom index may be updated according to the uploaded exposure data after the uploading of the exposure data of one or more content items in the content presentation area to the server is completed. Specifically, the top index may be updated with the minimum value (content item located at the top of content presentation area) of the content item index values in the exposure data; and updating the bottom index with a maximum value of content item index values in the exposure data (the content item located at the bottom of the content presentation area).
Still taking fig. 3 as an example, as described above, if fig. 3 collectively shows 3 content items, the indexes of which are 1, 2, and 3 in sequence, the 3 content items can be referred to as content item 1 (302), content item 2 (303), and content item 3 (304), and therefore, the index value 1 of the content item 1 (302) currently at the uppermost portion of the content presentation area 301 is assigned to the value 1 of the top index that has been updated by the top index; the index value 3 of the content item 3 (304) currently at the lowermost portion of the content presentation area 301 is given to the value 3 of the bottom index updated by the bottom index.
