Technical Field
The invention relates to a steel wire rope of a riser tensioner and a threading method thereof.
Background
On offshore drilling platforms, riser compensating systems in the form of wire lines are often used. In the process of threading, because the diameter of the steel wire rope is large, the distance required to be dragged is high, the stroke is large, and various influence factors in the process of threading need to be considered in the actual threading process. In the process of threading, because one end of the steel wire rope is already provided with a large connecting shackle, only the other end of the steel wire rope is treated to carry out proper treatment for threading. The traditional threading technology is to weave a leader into a threaded steel wire rope. In this method, the length of the braid is varied according to the wire rope to be threaded. If the method is adopted to penetrate through the steel wire rope of the water pipe tensioner, the length of the steel wire rope is not less than 7 meters, and thus, enough friction force can be obtained. After the steel wire rope is threaded, the braided steel wire rope cannot be used. This method is time consuming, labor intensive, and material intensive.
