Abstract
The invention provides an electronic device and a cover for the electronic device. The cover includes a plurality of fold lines. The cover is folded by a plurality of folding lines to form a folding structure, and the cover is detachably fixed on the shell to cover the opening.
Description
Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to electronic devices, and particularly to a cover for an electronic device.
Background
Because of the electromagnetic shielding and safety issues, the design of heat dissipation holes and the choice of housing materials of electronic devices are limited. For example, the housing of the host is usually made of metal, and it is not suitable to form an excessively large opening on the housing. Therefore, the design of the electronic device is limited to a certain extent.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention provides an electronic device and a cover for the electronic device, wherein the cover of the electronic device can change the shape according to the requirements of users in addition to the electromagnetic shielding effect, and provides diversified using modes.
An embodiment of the invention provides a cover suitable for an electronic device. The electronic device has a housing with at least one opening. The cover includes a plurality of fold lines. The cover is folded by a plurality of folding lines to form a folding structure, and the cover is detachably fixed on the shell to cover the opening.
The invention also provides an electronic device. The electronic device comprises a shell and a cover. The shell is provided with at least one opening. The cover includes a plurality of fold lines. The cover is folded by a plurality of folding lines to form a folding structure, and the cover is detachably fixed on the shell to cover the opening.
The casing of the conventional electronic device only has the functions of electromagnetic shielding and heat dissipation. In contrast, the cover provided by the invention has the electromagnetic shielding effect and also has the folding line which can form a folding structure according to the requirements of users. The folding structure can provide various use modes, such as adjusting the size of a heat dissipation channel, adjusting the inclination angle of the electronic device, forming a support frame for placing objects and the like, and is favorable for improving the use experience of a user.

Detailed Description
The following describes in more detail embodiments of the present invention with reference to the schematic drawings. Advantages and features of the present invention will become apparent from the following description and claims. It is to be noted that the drawings are in a very simplified form and are not to precise scale, which is merely for the purpose of facilitating and distinctly claiming the embodiments of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a schematic view of a first embodiment of a cover 100 for an electronic device of the present invention. Fig. 2A is a schematic view of cover 100 of fig. 1 removably secured to electronic device 20. Fig. 2B is a schematic view of the cover 100 of fig. 1 folded out of a folded configuration. The electronic device 20 has an opening 22. The cover 100 is detachably secured to the housing of the electronic device 20. The electronic device 20 may be a desktop computer, a notebook computer, a tablet computer, a router, a motherboard, a display adapter, etc. In one embodiment, the cover 100 may have an electromagnetic shielding function.
In the present embodiment, as shown in fig. 2A, the cover 100 is used to detachably cover the opening 22 of the electronic device to provide protection of the electromagnetic shielding.
In one embodiment, the opening 22 is a through hole in the housing of the electronic device 20. In one embodiment, the opening 22 is a heat sink of the electronic device 20. Thus, when the cover 100 is removed, the opening 22 uncovered by the cover allows air to flow into the electronic device 20 to improve heat dissipation. The embodiment is exemplified by a single opening 22. However, the present invention is not limited thereto. The shape and number of the openings 22 of the electronic device can be adjusted according to actual requirements. The opening 22 is not limited to a heat sink.
As shown in fig. 2B, the cover 100 includes a plurality of folding lines 110, and the user can selectively fold along the plurality of folding lines 110 to form a folding structure 120. In the present embodiment, the folding structure 120 is a heat dissipating passage P1 for communicating the opening 22 of the electronic device 20 with the outside. Thus, heat inside the electronic device can be dissipated through the heat dissipation channel P1.
Depending on the actual requirements, such as the position and shape of the heat dissipation holes, the foldable cover 100 can have different folding modes to form different heat dissipation channels to improve the heat dissipation efficiency of the electronic device. In one embodiment, when the electronic device 20 detects a change in the folding mode of the cover 100, the electronic device 20 can adjust its heat dissipation setting or other execution setting according to the change to provide better performance.
For example, as shown in fig. 2B, the folding mode at the right side of the figure (i.e. the mode of folding out the heat dissipation channel P1) provides better heat dissipation effect than the folding mode at the left side of the figure. When the electronic device 20 detects that the cover 100 is changed from the folding mode on the left side to the folding mode on the right side, the electronic device 20 is switched to a high performance mode, such as an over-clocking (over-clocking) mode. On the contrary, when the electronic device 20 detects that the folding mode of the cover 100 is changed from the right folding mode to the left folding mode, the electronic device 20 is switched to the normal operation mode for operation.
In one embodiment, the cover 100 includes a plurality of fixing elements for detachably fixing to the electronic device 20 to cover the opening 22 of the electronic device. The fixing element can be magnetically attracted, attached, locked and buckled, but the invention is not limited thereto. Any removable attachment means may be suitable for use with the present invention.
In one embodiment, the cover 100 includes a plurality of sensing elements for interacting with the electronic device 20. In one embodiment, if the sensing element detects that the cover 100 is in the folded state, the sensing element sends a signal to the electronic device 20 to perform a corresponding function. In one embodiment, if the sensing element detects that the cover 100 forms the heat dissipation channel P1 on the right side as shown in fig. 2B, the sensing element immediately sends a signal to the electronic device 20, and the electronic device 20 is then switched to the high performance mode for operation.
Fig. 2C is a schematic view of another use of the cover 100 of fig. 1 along a fold line to form a folded structure 120. As shown in the figures, the cover 100 is detachably fixed to the lower portion of the electronic device 30 as a support frame. The user can operate the electronic device 30 by changing the folding mode of the cover and adjusting the tilt angle of the electronic device. In an embodiment, when the electronic device 30 detects that the folding mode of the cover 100 changes, the electronic device 30 can adjust its setting or execute a corresponding program according to the change.
The operation adjustment of the electronic devices 20 and 30 according to the signals from the sensing elements is not limited to the normal operation mode and the high performance mode. In one embodiment, the electronic device 20,30 can be adjusted to a multimedia display mode or a game mode according to the signal.
Fig. 2D is a schematic illustration of yet another manner of use of the cover 100 of fig. 1 along fold lines to form a folded structure 120. As shown in the drawings, the cover 100 is detachably fixed to a side of the electronic device, and a folding structure 120 formed by the cover 100 forms an accommodating space R for a user to place an object, such as a screwdriver.
Fig. 3 is a schematic view of a second embodiment of the cover 200 of the present invention. Fig. 4A is a schematic diagram of a first embodiment of a manner of using the folding structure 220 formed by the cover 200 of fig. 3. Fig. 4B is a schematic diagram of a second embodiment of a manner of using the folding structure 220 formed by the cover 200 of fig. 3. Compared to the embodiment of fig. 1, the cover 200 of the present embodiment has a cut line 230 in addition to the fold line 210. The folded structure 220 of the cover 200 can form a support for a user to place objects, such as conventional electronic accessories, e.g. earphones, or fixed electronic accessories, e.g. mouse or keyboard wiring.
Fig. 5 is a schematic view of a third embodiment of the cover 300 of the present invention. Fig. 6A is a schematic view of a first embodiment of the manner in which the cover 300 of fig. 5 is used to form a folded structure 320 along fold line 310. Compared to the embodiment of fig. 1, the folded structure 320 of the cover 300 of the present embodiment has a shape and a size corresponding to the opening 52 of the electronic device 50, and the folded structure 320 is detachably fixed to the opening 52 to provide an electromagnetic shielding effect and form a heat dissipation channel P2 to provide a heat dissipation effect.
In one embodiment, the cover 300 has an identification element. The electronic device 50 has a sensing element 53 for detecting the identification element to confirm the change or position of the cover, so as to execute the corresponding setting. The user can install, remove or replace the cover 300 with different functions according to the requirement.
In one embodiment, if the electronic device 50 detects that the cover 300 forms the heat dissipation channel P2, the electronic device 50 switches to the high performance mode for operation.
Fig. 6B is a schematic view of a second embodiment of the manner in which the cover 300 of fig. 5 is used along a fold line to form a folded structure 320. Compared to the folding structure 320 in fig. 6A, the cover 300' of the present embodiment has a plurality of heat dissipation fins 330 disposed in the heat dissipation channel formed by the folding structure 320, so as to improve the heat dissipation effect.
In one embodiment, if the electronic device 50 detects that the cover 300 is folded to form the light channel or the sound amplifying channel, the electronic device 50 can execute the multimedia program.
Fig. 7A-7D are schematic views of a fourth embodiment of the cover of the present invention. Fig. 7B is a schematic top view corresponding to fig. 7A. Fig. 7D is a schematic top view corresponding to fig. 7C. As shown in the figure, the cover 400 is formed of a mesh structure and is sleeved on the electronic device 60. The cover 400 can be connected to the electronic device 60 in various connection modes to meet the user's requirements.
In one embodiment, the cover 400 includes a plurality of sensing elements 430 disposed at different locations. In one embodiment, as shown in fig. 7A-7B, in a normal operation mode, such as a word processing or web browsing usage mode, the cover 400 is fully engaged with the electronic device 60. As shown in fig. 7C-7D, when the cover 400 moves outward to form the opening 420, the sensing element 430 is triggered to send a signal to the electronic device 60. The electronic device 60 receives the signal and then switches to the turbo mode. The signal may also be used to trigger the electronic device 60 to perform different heat dissipation settings or other execution settings to adjust the operation mode of the electronic device 60.
The casing of the conventional electronic device only has the functions of electromagnetic shielding and heat dissipation. In contrast, the cover provided by the invention has the electromagnetic shielding effect and also has the folding line which can form a folding structure according to the requirements of users. The folding structure can provide various use modes, such as adjusting the size of a heat dissipation channel, adjusting the inclination angle of the electronic device, forming a support frame for placing objects and the like, and is favorable for improving the use experience of a user.
Although the present invention has been described with reference to the above embodiments, it should be understood that various changes and modifications can be made therein by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
Claims (7)
1. A cover for an electronic device, the electronic device having a housing with an opening therein, the cover comprising: the cover forms a folding structure after being folded through the folding lines, the cover is detachably fixed on the shell to cover the opening, and a heat dissipation channel is formed between the folded cover and the opening;
wherein the plurality of fold lines extend linearly from one side of the cover to an opposite side, and wherein at least three fold lines are non-parallel to each other and converge at a point on the same side of the cover.
2. Cover according to claim 1, further comprising a sensing element to detect the folded state of the cover and send a signal to the electronic device.
3. Cover according to claim 1, characterized in that the cover is magnetically or snap-fittingly fixed to the housing.
4. Cover according to claim 1, characterized in that the cover is formed of an electromagnetic shielding material.
5. An electronic device, comprising:
a housing having an opening therein; and
the cover comprises a plurality of folding lines, the cover forms a folding structure after being folded through the folding lines, the cover is detachably fixed on the shell to cover the opening, and a heat dissipation channel is formed between the folded structure and the opening;
wherein the plurality of fold lines extend linearly from one side of the cover to an opposite side, and wherein at least three fold lines are non-parallel to each other and converge at a point on the same side of the cover.
6. The electronic device of claim 5, wherein the cover comprises a sensing element for detecting the folded state of the cover and sending a signal to the outside, and the electronic device adjusts its operation mode according to the signal.
7. The electronic device of claim 5, wherein the cover is detachably fixed to the housing by magnetic attraction or snap fit.
