Abstract
The invention relates to a connector with a short-circuit protection function, and provides a connector with a short-circuit protection function and a connecting module thereof, aiming at solving the problems of high processing cost and large radial size of the connecting module of the connector in the prior art. The connecting module comprises an insulator and two conductive contact elements arranged in pairs, a contact accommodating hole is formed in the insulator between the two conductive contact elements, a short-circuit contact is arranged in the contact accommodating hole and is of a revolving structure, an elastic contact element is fixedly sleeved on the conductive contact element and provided with an elastic contact part protruding out of the peripheral surface of the conductive contact element, and the short-circuit contact is provided with two conductive matching surfaces which face the two conductive contact elements respectively and are used for elastically contacting with the elastic contact part on the corresponding elastic contact element along the radial direction of the contact accommodating hole. The conductive contact element is of a revolving body structure, has good manufacturability and low processing difficulty, can reduce the requirement on processing precision through the elastic contact element, and is favorable for reducing the processing cost and the size.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a connector having a short-circuit protection function, and more particularly, to a connector having a short-circuit protection function and a connection module thereof.
Background
The connector is widely used and generally comprises two paired connecting modules, namely a plug and a socket, wherein the plug and the socket are mutually plugged and separated to realize quick connection and disconnection of a circuit in use. The connector with special requirements needs to have a short-circuit protection function, after the plug and the socket of the connector are separated, a certain pair or some conductive contact elements on the plug are short-circuited so as to eliminate potential difference between the conductive contact elements and avoid the situation that when the plug and the socket are plugged, the potential difference between the conductive contact elements causes circuit damage between two corresponding conductive contact elements on the socket and influences normal operation of equipment. After the plug and the socket are inserted in place, the conductive contact elements are required to be isolated from each other, so that the normal conduction of the plug and the socket is ensured, and the operation requirement of equipment is met.
The connector with the short-circuit protection function in the prior art comprises a plug and a socket, wherein the plug comprises a plug insulator and a plug contact element, the socket comprises a socket insulator and a socket contact element, a contact accommodating hole with one end extending to the front end face of the socket insulator is arranged between the two socket contact elements in pair on the socket insulator, a contact piece used for realizing the short circuit and the isolation of the two socket contact elements and a top block used for pushing the short-circuit contact to move backwards are arranged in the contact accommodating hole in a front-back sliding mode, the contact piece forms a short-circuit contact, a pressure spring used as a contact reset spring is arranged between the rear portion of the short-circuit contact piece and the socket insulator, and raised flanges are arranged on the two socket contact elements in pair in the middle portions to be matched with the short-circuit contact. The plug insulator is provided with an ejector rod used for pushing the short-circuit contact to retreat when the plug is plugged with the socket, and when the plug and the socket are separated from each other, the short-circuit contact is simultaneously contacted with flanges on two socket contact elements in pairs under the action of the pressure spring, so that a short circuit is formed between the two socket contact elements; when the plug and the socket are inserted in place, the ejector rod on the plug pushes the ejector block and the short-circuit contact to retreat and separate from the flange on the contact element of the socket, so that the conductive contact elements are isolated from each other, and the operation requirement is met.
However, in order to ensure good conduction between the short-circuit contact and the socket insulator, the short-circuit contact and the socket insulator need to have an overlapping portion in the radial direction to realize axial overlap, so that a high flange needs to be arranged on the conventional socket contact, a conductive mating surface adapted to the short-circuit contact needs to be arranged on the flange, and in order to reduce the influence of the flange on the socket contact on the radial dimension of the connector, the flange on the socket contact adopts an eccentric structure, so that the manufacturability is poor, the requirement on the processing precision of the conductive mating surface is high, and the processing cost is high. In addition, the distance for the ejector rod to pass through needs to be arranged between the flanges of the two socket contact pieces, the radial size of the connector is increased due to the height and the distance of the flanges, the requirement on space is high, miniaturization is not facilitated, and the number of paired conductive contact pieces contained in the connector is greatly limited.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention aims to provide a connector with a short-circuit protection function and a connecting module of the connector, and aims to solve the problems of high processing cost and large radial size of the connecting module in the prior art.
In order to achieve the purpose, the technical scheme adopted by the invention is as follows: the connector with the short-circuit protection function comprises two connecting modules, wherein one connecting module comprises an insulator and two conductive contact elements arranged in pairs, a contact accommodating hole is formed in the insulator between the two conductive contact elements, a short-circuit contact is arranged in the contact accommodating hole and is of a revolving body structure, an elastic contact element is fixedly sleeved on the conductive contact element and provided with an elastic contact part protruding out of the peripheral surface of the conductive contact element, and the short-circuit contact is provided with two conductive matching surfaces which face the two conductive contact elements and are used for elastically contacting the elastic contact parts on the corresponding elastic contact elements in the radial direction of the contact accommodating hole.
The elastic contact element is a crown spring, a watchband contact finger or a spring contact finger.
The short-circuit contact comprises an insulating contact seat and a short-circuit conductor embedded on the insulating contact seat, the insulating contact seat is exposed from two side faces of the short-circuit conductor facing the two conductive contact pieces, and the conductive matching face is formed by the side faces of the short-circuit conductor facing the two conductive contact pieces.
The whole short circuit contact is in a flaky cuboid shape, and the thickness direction of the cuboid is parallel to a connecting line between the two conductive contact pieces.
The side surface of the short circuit contact facing the conductive contact piece is provided with a groove, and the short circuit conductor is arranged in the groove.
Grooves are arranged on each side surface of the short-circuit contact parallel to the axis of the contact accommodating hole.
The rear end face of the short-circuit contact is provided with a positioning column, the connecting module further comprises a contact return spring arranged between the rear end of the short-circuit contact and the bottom of the contact accommodating hole, and the front end of the contact return spring is sleeved on the positioning column.
The connecting module of the connector comprises an insulator and two conductive contact elements arranged in pairs, wherein a contact accommodating hole is formed in the insulator between the two conductive contact elements, a short-circuit contact is arranged in the contact accommodating hole and is of a revolving body structure, an elastic contact element is fixedly sleeved on the conductive contact element and provided with an elastic contact part protruding out of the peripheral surface of the conductive contact element, and the short-circuit contact is provided with two conductive matching surfaces which face the two conductive contact elements and are used for accommodating radial elastic contact of the hole along the contact with the elastic contact part on the corresponding elastic contact element.
The elastic contact element is a crown spring, a watchband contact finger or a spring contact finger.
The short-circuit contact comprises an insulating contact seat and a short-circuit conductor embedded on the insulating contact seat, the insulating contact seat is exposed from two side faces of the short-circuit conductor facing the two conductive contact pieces, and the conductive matching face is formed by the side faces of the short-circuit conductor facing the two conductive contact pieces.
The insulating contact seat is integrally in a flaky cuboid shape, and the thickness direction of the cuboid is parallel to a connecting line between the two conductive contact pieces.
The side surface of the short circuit contact facing the conductive contact piece is provided with a groove, and the short circuit conductor is arranged in the groove.
Grooves are arranged on each side surface of the short-circuit contact parallel to the axis of the contact accommodating hole.
The rear end face of the short-circuit contact is provided with a positioning column, the connecting module further comprises a contact return spring arranged between the rear end of the short-circuit contact and the bottom of the contact accommodating hole, and the front end of the contact return spring is sleeved on the positioning column.

Detailed Description
The invention will be further explained with reference to the drawings.
One embodiment of the connection module of the connector of the present invention is shown in fig. 1 to 6, and is a plug-type connection module, which includes an insulator 1 and a plurality of pairs of conductive contacts 2 disposed in the insulator 1, where each pair of conductive contacts 2 needs to be in a short-circuit state before being plugged into a socket, and needs to be isolated from each other after being plugged into the socket, so as to release the short-circuit state. In order to realize the switching between the short circuit state and the isolation state, a contact accommodating hole 10 is arranged between each pair of conductive contact pieces 2, the front end of the contact accommodating hole 10 penetrates through the front end face of the insulator 1, a short circuit contact 11 is assembled in the contact accommodating hole 10 in a guiding and moving manner along the front-back direction, and a contact return spring 16 is arranged between the short circuit contact 11 and the bottom of the contact accommodating hole 10. The contact accommodating hole 10 may be formed directly by the insulator 1, or may be formed by an inner hole of a sleeve by disposing the sleeve between the paired conductive contacts 2.
The conductive contact element 2 is of a revolving body structure and is integrally in a stepped cylindrical shape, a shaft shoulder is arranged at the front part of the conductive contact element, the shaft shoulder forms an annular positioning step 6, and the crown spring 7 is sleeved behind the shaft shoulder and is positioned by the annular positioning step 6. The front end face of the conductive contact element 2 is provided with a jack 5 for fitting with a pin provided on a connection module in the form of a socket. Crown spring 7 is prior art, including setting up the ring body part 8 at axial both ends and connecting the arm portion 9 that touches between two ring body parts 8, crown spring 7 in this embodiment adopts big two little structures in the middle, and the diameter at axial both ends is less than the diameter of middle part for the middle part forms the elastic contact portion of the outer peripheral face of protrusion conductive contact 2. The crown spring 7 is a stamping part, and the cost of a single piece is low after batch production.
The short-circuit contact 11 comprises an insulation contact seat 12 and a short-circuit conductor 14 embedded on the insulation contact seat 12, the insulation contact seat 12 is integrally in a flaky cuboid shape, the thickness direction of the cuboid is parallel to a connecting line between the two conductive contact elements 2, good front and back guiding can be achieved by adopting a cuboid structure, and the radial size can be reduced to be occupied. The short-circuit conductor 14 exposes the insulating contact block toward the side of the two conductive contact pieces 2, and forms a conductive mating surface for elastically contacting with the elastic contact portion of the corresponding elastic contact piece in the radial direction of the contact accommodating hole 10. The rear end face of the insulating contact seat 12 is provided with a positioning column 13, the front end of the contact return spring 16 is sleeved on the positioning column 13, and the positioning column 13 can support the contact return spring 16, so that the stability of the contact return spring 16 is improved.
The side surface of the short-circuit contact 11, which is parallel to the axial direction of the contact accommodating hole 10, is provided with a groove 15, and the groove 15 is beneficial to reducing the friction and the abrasion between the insulating contact seat 12 and the contact accommodating hole 10. The short-circuit conductors 14 are arranged in two recesses 15 facing the conductive contacts 2, which contributes to further reducing the distance between two conductive contacts 2 in a pair.
In the non-plugged state of the connector, due to the action of the contact return spring 16, the short-circuit conductor 14 moves to the position between the crown springs 7 on the two conductive contact pieces 2 along with the short-circuit contact 11, and the conductive matching surfaces on the two sides of the short-circuit conductor are simultaneously contacted with the elastic contact parts of the two crown springs 7, so that the short circuit of the two conductive contact pieces 2 is realized. In the process of inserting the plug into a corresponding socket, the short-circuit contact 11 moves backwards under the pushing of the ejector rod arranged on the socket, so that the short-circuit conductor 14 is separated from the crown spring 7 on the conductive contact element 2, the two conductive contact elements 2 are isolated, and meanwhile, the creepage distance between the two conductive contact elements 2 can be maximized through the insulating contact seat 12 in a cuboid shape, so that the electrical performance of a product is improved.
In the above embodiments, the connection module of the connector is a plug-type connection module, and in other embodiments of the present invention, the connection module of the connector may be a socket-type connection module. In addition, in other embodiments, the shorting contact 11 may have other forms, such as a conductive block having two conductive contact surfaces for sliding conductive engagement with the elastic contact portion of the elastic contact element, or a conductive member directly fixed to the plunger connected to the mating socket. In other embodiments, the elastic contact element may be replaced by other forms, such as a strap finger, a spring finger, etc., and in this case, a ring groove may be formed in the conductive contact element 2 to assemble the strap finger and the spring finger.
One embodiment of the connector with the short-circuit protection function in the invention comprises two connecting modules, namely a plug and a socket, wherein the plug is the plug in the connecting module of the connector, the socket is provided with a mandril which is suitable for being matched with the short-circuit contact 11 on the plug to push the short-circuit contact 11 to retreat when being plugged, and the specific structure is not repeated.
