The method can be executed by a map display device provided by the embodiment of the invention, and the map display device can be realized in a software and/or hardware manner and is configured to be applied in an intelligent terminal, such as a mobile phone, a computer, a tablet computer or an intelligent watch. The method specifically comprises the following operations:

The distance from the point A to the actual path segment of the point B is the longest, the distance from the point B to the actual path segment of the point C is the middle, and the distance from the point C to the actual path segment of the point D is the shortest, so that the thicker and shorter the actual distance of the path segment is displayed as shown in fig. 3, it can be seen that the interface area occupied by the display picture in fig. 3 is obviously smaller than that in fig. 2, more paths can be conveniently displayed in the same display interface, the display accommodation degree is improved, the operation complexity of the whole path can be avoided being mastered by a user in a mode of always adopting an amplification, reduction or movement in fig. 2, the operation flow is simplified, and the user experience is improved.
According to the distance of the path section, the length of the display route of the path section is controlled, specifically, different line types with different lengths are adopted to represent different distances of the path section, the length of the display route and the compression value of the actual distance of the path section are larger than the current compression value, for example, the actual distance of the path section is 500 meters, the display length of the display route in the interface according to the current compression value is 10 centimeters, the display length of the display route in the interface is 5 centimeters in the compression value adopted in the embodiment of the invention, the long-distance path is represented by a wavy curve, and the short-distance path is represented by a straight line, so that the length of the display route is compressed, the whole path can be mastered without the amplification or reduction operation of a user on the same interface, and the display content is enriched.

Fig. 5 is a schematic structural diagram of a terminal according to a third embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 5, the terminal includes a processor 30, a memory 31, an input device 32, and an output device 33; the number of the processors 30 in the terminal may be one or more, and one processor 30 is taken as an example in fig. 5; the processor 30, the memory 31, the input device 32 and the output device 33 in the terminal may be connected by a bus or other means, which is exemplified in fig. 5.
The memory 31 serves as a computer-readable storage medium for storing software programs, computer-executable programs, and modules, such as program instructions/modules (e.g., the path planning module 210, the path segment dividing module 220, and the display control module 230) corresponding to the light adjusting method in the embodiment of the present invention. The processor 30 executes various functional applications of the device and data processing by running software programs, instructions, and modules stored in the memory 31, that is, implements the map display method described above.
The memory 31 mainly includes a program storage area and a data storage area, wherein the program storage area can store an operating system and an application program required by at least one function; the storage data area may store data created according to the use of the terminal, and the like. Further, the memory 31 may include high speed random access memory, and may also include non-volatile memory, such as at least one magnetic disk storage device, flash memory device, or other non-volatile solid state storage device. In some examples, the memory 31 may further include memory located remotely from the processor 30, which may be connected to the device over a network. Examples of such networks include, but are not limited to, the internet, intranets, local area networks, mobile communication networks, and combinations thereof.
The input device 32 may be used to receive input numeric or character information and to generate key signal inputs relating to user settings and function controls of the apparatus. The output device 33 may include a display device such as a display screen.

A fourth embodiment of the present invention further provides a storage medium containing computer-executable instructions, which when executed by a computer processor, perform a map display method, the method including:
planning a traveling path according to the starting address and the destination address;
dividing the travel path into path sections according to turning points according to the travel path;
and controlling the display of the path section according to the distance information of the path section.
Of course, the storage medium containing the computer-executable instructions provided by the embodiments of the present invention is not limited to the method operations described above, and may also perform related operations in the map display method provided by any embodiments of the present invention.
