Description

Mounting assembly for mounting at least one electrical device on a wall
Technical Field
The present description relates to the technical field of electrical equipment, in particular electrical equipment for buildings (for example houses, offices, etc.). More particularly, the present description relates to a mounting assembly for mounting at least one electrical device on a wall.
Background
For the purposes of this specification, by electrical apparatus is intended any electrical device or apparatus which is typically part of an electrical installation in a residential building or the like and which is typically to be installed (e.g. recessed) on a wall of such a building.
Thus, the definition includes, but is not limited to, circuit breakers, grid sockets, data network sockets, TV sockets, telephone sockets, buttons, switches, shunts, general regulating electrical equipment, connectors, thermostats, timers, fuse holders, ringtones/buzzers, emergency lights (e.g. detachable), signal lights (e.g. spotlights), displays (e.g. LCDs), etc.
As is known, a large number of the above-mentioned electrical apparatuses are generally mounted on walls using assemblies of composite mounting structures or parts, which generally comprise:
a recessed box intended to be recessed in the fastening wall;
-an equipment holder mounting frame or support frame which can be detachably fastened to the box and comprises a frame body extending around an opening defining a mounting seat adapted to receive and hold one or more electrical equipments; and
a cover plate which can be detachably fastened to the support frame and is provided with an opening to enable a user to visually and manually access the electrical equipment mounted on the support frame. With regard to the assembly of the aforementioned parts, it is known to sell mounting assemblies comprising a mounting frame and a plurality of fastening screws arranged for fastening the supporting frame to a respective recessed box. In particular, the prior art solution is to fit the fastening screws to the back of the support frame (which is the portion of the support frame that is intended to face the fastening wall or recessed box) by means of some fitting elements provided on the back of the support frame.
However, such prior art solutions have some drawbacks. In fact, in order to mount the support frame, the fastening screws must be extracted from the seats provided on the rear face of the frame and must be inserted from the front portion of the support frame through the positive fastening openings (due fastening openings) provided in the support frame. This means a waste of time and the risk of losing the fastening screw.
In another prior art solution, in order to at least partly overcome such drawbacks, fastening screws have been inserted through fastening openings provided in the support frame. In particular, in this solution, the fastening screws are fitted into the support frame through the inner edges of the fastening openings provided in the support frame, and they are already arranged in the mounted position, that is to say they are arranged orthogonally with respect to the front face of the support frame. However, such prior art solutions also have some drawbacks. In fact, in order to keep the fastening screws in place during transport without losing them, the fastening screws are fitted in the plastic support with a high mechanical interference with the fastening opening edges. Such high mechanical interference means a certain difficulty during the tightening step when the support frame is fastened to the recessed box. Furthermore, such high mechanical interference means a reduction in the ability of the fastening screws to adapt to the situation in which the recessed box has been accurately mounted and in the difficulty of adjusting the position of the support frame during its final mounting step. Another drawback with this latter prior art solution relates to the fastening screw position during transport. In fact, since the fastening screws in the transport position are arranged orthogonal to the front face of the support frame and protrude from the front and rear faces of the support frame, the fastening screws may pierce the inner package in which the support frame is arranged when being transported and sold.

With respect to fig. 1 and 2, in these figures, the fastening screws 30 and 40 are shown in a first configuration. Such a first configuration is preferably a transport configuration for transporting the mounting assembly 1. As can be noted in this figure, in the first configuration, each fastening screw 30, 40 passes through a corresponding fastening opening 110, 120 and it is arranged so that the screw heads 301, 401 are accessible from the front of the support frame 101. In particular, in the first configuration, each binding screw 30, 40 is arranged transversely or obliquely with respect to an axis X1 (fig. 5) orthogonal to the front face 101 of the support frame. In this regard, it should be noted that the word "orthogonal" used above in relation to the axis X1 must be interpreted by bringing the front face 101 of the support frame close to a perfect plane. In other words, in the first configuration, each screw 30, 40 is arranged obliquely with respect to the front face 101 and the rear face 102 of the support frame. According to a preferred embodiment, the axis X1 is substantially one screwing direction of the screws 30, 40 for fixing the frame to the fastening wall. Furthermore, in the aforementioned first configuration, each fastening screw 30, 40 is fitted into the support frame by means of a respective fitting element 130, 140. As may be noted, for example, in fig. 1 to 3, according to a preferred embodiment, in the first configuration of the fastening screws 30, 40, the proximal end portions 303, 403 of the screw bodies 302, 402 are received in the fitting recesses 130, 140. As can be noted in fig. 2 and 3, according to a preferred embodiment, in the first configuration, a portion of the general length of each binding screw 30, 40 is accessible from the front face 101 of the support frame.
According to a preferred embodiment, each fastening screw 30, 40 is connected to the respective fastening opening edge 111 and 121 so that it can be rotated to remain connected to the respective edge 111 and 121 and 124 when released by the respective fitting element 130, 140 so as to assume a second configuration (fig. 6 and 9) in which the fastening screws 30, 40 are arranged orthogonal to the front face 101 of the support frame. Preferably, such second configuration of the fastening screws 30, 40 is a fastening configuration enabling fastening of the mounting assembly 1 to a fastening wall. It should be noted that each of the edges 111 and 121 and 124 has a pair of longer edge sections 111, 113 and 121, 123 opposite each other and a pair of shorter edge sections 112, 114 and 122, 124 opposite each other and connected to the longer sections 111, 113 and 122, 124. According to a preferred embodiment, each fastening screw 30, 40 is connected to the frame body 10 by means of the longer edge sections 111, 113 and 121, 123. With respect to fig. 9, which shows an enlarged portion of the screw 30 arranged in the second configuration and inserted through the fastening opening 110, according to a preferred embodiment, the segments 111, 113 and the thread 305 of the screw 30 are configured such that, in the second screw configuration 30, the thread 305 of the screw 30 projects radially with respect to the central axis X2 of the screw 30 so as to engage a portion of each segment 111, 113, the length LI of which is substantially comprised between 0.3mm and 0.6 mm. In the example in particular, this length LI is 0.4 mm.
For example, with respect to fig. 3, according to the preferred embodiment, the frame body 10 includes a first support wall 151 and a second support wall 152. The first support wall 151 is a part of a fitting seat including the fitting recess 130. The second support wall 152 is positioned on the rear side 102 of the frame body 10. In the first configuration of the screw 30, the support walls 151 and 152 are in contact with the proximal portion 303 and the distal portion 304 of the screw body 302, respectively. Also with respect to fig. 3, according to a preferred embodiment, the first and second support walls 151 and 152 respectively comprise, in a transverse section of the frame body 10, a first and a second support rectilinear segment parallel to each other. In the first screw 30 configuration, such rectilinear section is also parallel to the fastening screw 30, i.e. to the central axis X2 of such screw. In the example, the frame body 10 also comprises a third and a fourth supporting wall (not shown) which are identical in structure and function to the walls 151 and 152, respectively. The third support wall is a part of the fitting seat including the fitting recess 140. The fourth support wall is positioned on the back surface 102 of the frame body 10. In the first configuration of the screw 40, the third and fourth support walls are in contact with the proximal and distal portions 403 and 402, respectively, of the screw body.
With reference to fig. 1 to 4, according to a preferred embodiment, at least one housing seat is provided on the front face 101 of the support frame, which comprises one housing recess 160, 170 obtained in the thickness of the frame body 10. According to a preferred embodiment, the frame body 10 comprises a plurality of housing seats, preferably two housing seats, as in the example shown, each of the two housing seats comprising a respective housing recess 160, 170. In the first configuration of the fastening screws 30, 40, the screw heads 301 and 401 are at least partially received in the respective receiving recesses 160, 170. According to a preferred embodiment, the fitting recess 130 is interposed between the fastening opening 110 and the accommodating recess 160. Similarly, the fitting recess 140 is interposed between the fastening opening 120 and the accommodating recess 170.
With reference to fig. 7 and 8, in this figure, an assembly 1, 50 is shown comprising the parts of the mounting assembly 1 and the cover plate 50. As known to those skilled in the art, the function of the cover plate 50 is both to guarantee a minimum protection (for example from dust) of the electrical apparatus or apparatuses fastened to the body 10 of the support frame and to avoid dangerous access to parts that are conductive under voltage or potential voltage (for example by pointed objects). Moreover, an additional basic function normally assigned to cover plates of the type of plate 50 is to disguise aesthetic defects, for example due to the presence of cavities in the fastening walls, due to the presence of recessed boxes (for example, the recessed box 60 shown in fig. 10) and due to the presence of the body 10 of the support frame without aesthetic function, with functional importance that is hardly compatible with aesthetic requirements or parameters.
According to a preferred embodiment, the plate 50 has a generally plate-like body and comprises a front side 501 or front side 501 intended to be visible when the mounting assembly 1, 50 is fastened to the fastening wall and a rear side 502 or back side 502 intended to face the front side 101 of the support frame. The body of the plate 50 may be made of various materials such as, but not limited to, plastic, metal, wood, glass, and marble.
In fig. 7 and 8, the cover plate 50 is coupled to the mounting assembly 1 by means of fastening screws 30 and 40 arranged in a first configuration. In particular, when the plate 50 is coupled to the support frame and the screws 30 and 40 assume the first configuration, the screws 30 and 40 are at least partially interposed between the main body 10 of the support frame and the cover plate 50. According to a preferred embodiment, the cover plate 50 comprises a plurality of coupling elements 510, for example a plurality of coupling tabs 510. According to a preferred embodiment, the body 10 of the support frame comprises a plurality of coupling elements 180 configured to couple to the coupling elements 510 of the plate 50 to enable the plate 50 to be removably coupled to the support frame. According to a preferred embodiment, the coupling elements 510 comprise four coupling tabs 510, while the coupling combination elements 180 each comprise an elastic coupling tooth 181 and one coupling opening 182. To fasten the plate 50 to the body 10 of the support frame, each tab 510 is inserted through one respective coupling opening 182 and blocked by a respective coupling tooth 181.
With respect to fig. 10, there is shown a mounting assembly 1 secured to a recessed cartridge 60. In particular, in order to fasten the support frame to the box 60, the fastening screws 30, 40 are screwed, for example by means of a screwdriver, into suitable fastening combination elements (not shown as known), for example fastening combination holes provided in the recessed box 60.
Having described the structure of the mounting assembly 1, a method for mounting the mounting assembly 1 will now be described by way of example and not limitation with respect to the embodiments shown in the disclosed figures.
It must be considered that the mounting assembly 1 is initially in the configuration of fig. 1, that is to say that the fastening screws 30 and 40 are in the first configuration. Starting from this configuration, in order to fasten the mounting assembly 1 to the fastening wall (preferably by means of the box 60), it is sufficient to disengage or release the screws 30 and 40 from the respective fitting recesses 130, 140 and rotate them until they reach a second configuration (fig. 6) in which they are arranged orthogonally with respect to the front face 101 of the supporting frame. In particular, the fastening screws 30 and 40 are preferably disengaged from their respective seats comprising the recesses 130 and 140 by means of a tool (for example a screwdriver). Alternatively, however, screws 30 and 40 may be disengaged in other ways, such as by inserting a finger into receptacles 160 and 170. When the screws 30 and 40 are rotated between the first configuration and the second configuration, they remain connected to the edge sections 111, 113 and 121, 123 of the respective fastening openings 110 and 120. When the screws 30 and 40 are in the second configuration, they can be screwed, for example, into suitable fastening combination elements provided in a recessed box 60, preferably housed in one of the cavities provided in the fastening wall, in order to fasten the body 10 of the support frame to the box 60, as shown for example in fig. 10.
In view of the foregoing, it will thus be appreciated that the manner in which the assembly is mounted in accordance with the invention achieves the objectives set forth above.
In particular, it must be noted that by providing one fitting element separate from the edge of the fastening opening of the support frame and by fitting the fastening screw to the bearing frame arranged transversely with respect to an axis orthogonal to the front face of the frame, the mechanical interference between the fastening screw and the edge of the fastening opening can be conveniently reduced to overcome the drawbacks described above with reference to the prior art solutions. It must also be noted that the assembly position of the fastening screws is such that the screws do not protrude or protrude a little from the supporting frame, which reduces the risk of damaging the package in which the components are sold during transport.
It must also be noted that in one mounting assembly according to the present description, the fastening screws have been inserted through the respective fastening openings of the support frame, and the aforesaid fitting elements are able to keep the fastening screws in place during transport and do not lose them. Furthermore, according to an aspect of the invention, the interference between the fastening screw and the edge of the respective fastening opening is performed in the following manner: avoiding missing screws, does not make screwing and adjusting the support frame difficult, and does not limit the adaptability to the case of precisely mounted recessed boxes.
By providing the principle of the invention, the details of the embodiments and examples may be varied widely with respect to what has been described and illustrated by way of example and not of limitation, without thereby departing from the invention as defined in the claims that have been disclosed.
