Abstract

The invention relates to an ink fountain of a printing press, comprising a doctor blade and a clamping strip (4) for clamping the doctor blade. The clamping bar (4) is composed of an intermediate piece (6) and an end piece (7).

Description

Ink fountain
Technical Field
The invention relates to an ink fountain of a printing press, comprising a doctor blade and a clamping bar for clamping the doctor blade.
Background
Such an ink fountain is described in document DE 102015207719 a 1. In this ink fountain of the prior art, the clamping bar is manufactured in one single piece as a comb-shaped profiled bent plate element. The clamping bar comprises a set of lever arms which form an array. The lever arms at the ends of the array are configured to be wider than the remaining lever arms of the array. Such a segment is compatible with the side wall seal of the storage container. The clamping strips may be made of an elastic sheet material. It is pointed out here that, in contrast to the case in which the clamping strip is configured as an aluminum pull, in the case in which the clamping strip is configured as a bent part from an elastic sheet metal, there is no danger of: that is, the clamping strips are deformed in an irreversible manner over time as a result of the load. This irreversible deformation furthermore leads to a reduction in the clamping force.
In the prior art, it is disadvantageous that the clamping bar is difficult to clean due to its comb-like profile.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention is based on the following tasks: an ink fountain with easily cleanable clamping strips is achieved.
This object is achieved by an ink fountain having the features according to the invention. The ink fountain according to the invention comprises a doctor blade and a clamping strip for clamping the doctor blade, characterized in that the clamping strip consists of an intermediate part and an end part.
The advantage of the ink fountain according to the invention is that the clamping strips of the ink fountain are easier to clean. The clamping slats need not have a comb-like profile and, instead, may have a simpler profile, which is easily cleanable.
An additional advantage is that, although easy to clean, there is no risk that the clamping strip will be excessively deformed over time due to its load. A reduction in the clamping force caused by such deformation is avoided.
Different modifications are possible.
Preferably, the end pieces are configured more stably in terms of deformation than the intermediate piece. In this case, the end pieces can have a different (e.g., thicker) contour than the intermediate piece and/or comprise a different material than the intermediate piece. For example, the intermediate piece may be made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, and the end pieces may be made of steel or titanium. These end pieces can be connected to the intermediate piece by means of pin connections (Verstiftung) or similar connecting elements. Such a pin fixing can be formed, for example, by a pin or preferably a fastening pin. The end pieces may be connected to the intermediate piece by means of an adhesive portion, which may be provided in addition to or instead of the pin fixing portion.
Drawings
Further refinements arise from the following description and the accompanying drawing, which shows:
FIG. 1: an ink fountain;
FIG. 2: details of the grip strips of the ink fountain;
FIG. 3: exploded views of the middle and end pieces of the clamping slats;
FIG. 4: the intermediate piece and the end piece in a combined state; and
FIG. 5: modification of the clamping straps.
Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows components of an anilox ink mechanism of a printing press for offset printing. Shown is an anilox roller 1 and an ink fountain 2 with a doctor blade 3, which doctor blade 3 rests on the anilox roller 1. The anilox roller 1 is only indicated with phantom lines and only shows a part of the ink fountain 2. A clamping strip 4 extends parallel to the doctor blade 3 for clamping the doctor blade 3 to the ink fountain. The clamping rail 4 is designed as a rocker and is actuated by an eccentric shaft 5 during clamping. One lever arm of the clamping strip 4 rests on the eccentric shaft 5, while the other lever arm presses against the doctor blade 3.
Fig. 2 shows that the clamping rail 4 comprises two end pieces 7 and an intermediate piece 6 located therebetween. The intermediate piece 6 is arranged parallel to the axis of rotation of the anilox roller 1 (viewed in the viewing direction BR) between the two end pieces 7. These end pieces 7 are aligned with the side wall seals 10 of the ink fountain 2, respectively, as can be seen in fig. 1. The end pieces 7 are fixedly connected to the intermediate piece 6 and the end pieces 7 comprise a more deformation-stable material with a higher modulus of elasticity than the material of the intermediate piece 6. The intermediate member 6 is made of aluminum and is a pultruded member. These end pieces 7 are made of titanium or preferably steel and are milled pieces.
Fig. 3 shows that the intermediate piece 6 and the corresponding end piece 7 can have the same contour. The profile has a clamping surface 11, a hinge hook 12 and a bulge 13. The clamping surface 11 rests on the doctor blade 3 during clamping. The end of the articulated hook 12 forms a tilting point about which the clamping rail 4 swings during clamping. The bulge 13 forms a profile thickening in which the hole 9 for a fastening pin 8 is introduced. Further holes 9 for further fastening pins 8 are introduced into the hinge hooks 12.
Fig. 4 shows that the respective end piece 7 is connected to the intermediate piece 6 in a pin-fixed manner. Each fastening pin 8 is inserted in a hole 9 in the intermediate piece 6 and simultaneously in a hole 9 in the end piece 7. In order to be able to better see this, the end piece 7 is shown in phantom perspective. The fastening pin 8 is configured as a tube with a longitudinal slit in the wall, and the fastening pin 8 expands in a springing manner after it has been inserted into the hole 9. The end pieces 7 can be additionally glued to the intermediate piece 6 if the clamping action of the fastening pins 8 does not hold the plate pieces 6, 7 together sufficiently firmly. For example, the fastening pin 8 may be glued to these plate members 6, 7.
Fig. 5 shows a modification of the clamping rail 4 from the view direction BR indicated in fig. 2. This modification differs from the preceding embodiment only in that: the contours of these end pieces 7 are narrower than the contours of the intermediate piece 6. The end pieces 7 have a web width LB7, which is LB7 smaller than the web width LB6 of the intermediate piece 6. The difference between LB6 and LB7 forms a step between the respective end piece 7 and the side of the middle piece 6. The contour of the end piece 7 facing away from the hinge hook 12 (on the right in fig. 5) extends equidistantly from the contour of the middle piece 6 facing away from the hinge hook 12, and the plate members 6, 7 extend in line with one another around the contour of the hinge hook 12 (on the left in fig. 5). Since the end pieces 7 are of a more stable or rigid material, the end pieces 7 can also exert a higher clamping force or at least a clamping force of the same magnitude as the intermediate piece 6 in the modification, without being deformed more strongly than the intermediate piece 6.
It is expedient for both embodiments described above that the clamping strip 4 is locally reinforced in the region of high loads (in particular in the region of the side wall seal) by means of the attachment (in particular: the end piece 7), preferably by a more load-bearing material, which reliably prevents ink from leaking out of the ink fountain 2. In the region of these side wall seals 10 (see fig. 1), the ink fountain 2 can easily leak without corresponding measures.
The ink fountain 2 shown in fig. 1 has only one doctor blade 3. However, ink ducts are also available which have two doctor blades clamped to them; such an ink fountain is called a chambered doctor blade. In the case of an ink fountain designed as a chambered doctor blade, two clamping strips according to the invention are provided. An ink fountain is understood to mean not only an ink fountain for printing ink, but also an ink fountain for printing undercoats (e.g. zinc white), printing varnishes (e.g. varnishes) or other printable fluids.
