An electric circular saw comprises a shell and a bottom plate connected with the shell, wherein a motor, a transmission mechanism and an output shaft are arranged in the shell, the transmission mechanism is connected with the motor and the output shaft, and the output shaft is used for mounting a saw blade; the electric circular saw also comprises a shield arranged on the shell, the output shaft protrudes out of the shell and extends into the shield, and at least part of the saw blade is contained in the shield; the method is characterized in that: the bottom plate comprises an abutting surface for contacting with the guide device, and the shield is provided with an outer end surface back to the shell; the saw blade comprises a grinding sheet and a cutting sheet which are selectively arranged on the output shaft, when the grinding sheet is arranged on the output shaft, the outer end surface of the protective cover is coplanar with the grinding surface of the grinding sheet, which faces away from the shell; when the cutting blade is installed on the output shaft, the abutting surface and the outer side surface of the cutting blade, which faces away from the shell, are coplanar.
2. The electric circular saw of claim 1, wherein the guard includes a stationary guard and a movable guard disposed within the stationary guard, the movable guard being rotatable about an axis of the output shaft to shield and uncover a portion of the cutting blade.
3. The electric circular saw of claim 2, wherein the movable guard has a knob for applying an external force to drive the movable guard to rotate around the axis of the output shaft, the fixed guard has an arc-shaped notch, and the knob is disposed through the arc-shaped notch.

The electric circular saw of claim 3, wherein the arcuate notch divides the stationary shroud into an inner shroud and an outer shroud; in the axial direction of the output shaft, the inner protective cover is arranged close to the shell relative to the outer protective cover, the inner protective cover is used for containing the cutting blade, and the outer protective cover is used for containing the grinding blade.
5. The electric circular saw of claim 4, wherein the outer shroud includes the outer end surface and an outer shroud peripheral surface connected to the outer end surface, wherein the outer shroud peripheral surface forms a 90 degree angle with the outer end surface.
6. The electric circular saw of claim 5, wherein the dial knob is slidable along a circumference of the outer guard.
7. The electric circular saw of claim 4, wherein a radius of the inner shroud is greater than a radius of the outer shroud.

The electric circular saw of claim 2 or 3, wherein a first mounting space for mounting a grinding chip and a second mounting space for mounting the cutting chip are defined in the shroud; a first plane is defined in the first mounting space, and the first plane is the position of a grinding surface, back to the shell, in the grinding sheet after the grinding sheet is mounted; a second plane is defined in the second mounting space, and the second plane is the position of the outer side surface of the cutting blade after the cutting blade is mounted; the outer end face is located in the extension face of the first plane, and the abutting face is located in the extension face of the second plane.

The electric circular saw of claim 8, wherein the stationary shield includes an inner shield defining the first mounting space and an outer shield defining the second mounting space, the inner shield being disposed adjacent to the housing with respect to the outer shield in an axial direction of the output shaft.
10. The electric circular saw of claim 1, wherein the retaining surface includes a first retaining surface and a second retaining surface, the saw blade being disposed between the first retaining surface and the second retaining surface.
