Abstract
The invention relates to a protective structure for blocking water from entering an air inlet of an engine, which comprises an air inlet left protective component and an air inlet right protective component which are connected to an upper beam of a frame through bolts and are positioned at the left side and the right side of a front cover lock mounting bracket fixedly connected to the middle part of the upper beam of the frame, and is characterized in that: the front faces of the air inlet left protective component and the air inlet right protective component are opposite to the upper part of the back face of the upper grille, and the bottom faces of the air inlet left protective component and the air inlet right protective component are close to the upper face of the upper air deflector of the radiator; the intake port left guard member is located directly below an engine intake port. The automobile air inlet device can meet the air inlet requirement of the air inlet, can prevent water from entering the air inlet of the engine when an automobile wades, improves the power performance and safety of the engine, and is simple in structure and convenient to install.

Background

The invention is further described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Referring to fig. 1 to 5, the protection structure for blocking water from entering the air inlet of the engine comprises an air inlet left protection member 1 and an air inlet right protection member 2 which are connected to an upper cross beam 7 of a frame through bolts and are positioned at the left side and the right side of a front cover lock mounting bracket 8 fixedly connected to the middle part of the upper cross beam 7 of the frame, and the protection structure has the prominent substantial characteristics that:
the front faces of the air inlet left protective component 1 and the air inlet right protective component 2 are opposite to the upper part of the back face of the upper grille 9, and the bottom faces of the air inlet left protective component and the air inlet right protective component are close to the upper face of the upper air deflector 5 of the radiator;
the intake port left guard member 1 is located right below the engine intake port 6, and plays a role in directly preventing water from rushing into the intake port and preventing rain and snow from being sucked into the intake port.
The air inlet left protection component 1 is a sheet metal part and is in a strip shape, upward connecting blocks are arranged on the rear side and the left side and the right side of the air inlet left protection component 1, an upward vertical baffle 15 is arranged on the front side of the air inlet left protection component, a first middle mounting hole 10 is arranged in the middle of the bottom surface of the air inlet left protection component 1, a first right mounting hole 11 and a first left mounting hole 12 are arranged on the rear connecting block, and the air inlet left protection component 1 is fixedly connected to the frame upper cross beam 7 in a matched mode through bolts and the first middle mounting hole 10, the first right mounting hole 11 and the first left mounting hole 12 on the air inlet left protection component; a first right water guide hole 13 and a first left water guide hole 14 with the same structure are arranged on two sides of the first middle mounting hole 10 on the bottom surface of the air inlet left guard member 1.

The first right water guide hole 13, the first left water guide hole 14, the second right water guide hole 23 and the second left water guide hole 24 have the same structure and are in an inverted trapezoid shape with a large top and a small bottom. The accumulated water in the air inlet left protective component and the air inlet right protective component can smoothly flow out, and the upwelling water below the air inlet left protective component and the air inlet right protective component can be well separated.
When a vehicle enters a deep water pool at a high speed, water flows into an engine compartment from the upper grille 9 at the moment that a vehicle head enters water, most of water is separated outside the radiator due to the damping of the fins of the radiator 3 and flows upwards along the side air guide plates 4 of the radiator at the left side and the right side, if the vehicle speed is high enough, the upward speed of the water is higher than the falling speed of the water due to the gravity of the water, and the water can quickly reach an air inlet 6 of the engine, so that the engine is choked with water. And the air inlet left protective component 1 and the air inlet left protective component 2 can block upwelled water flow, and the risk of water inlet of an engine air inlet is avoided. And the vertical baffle 11 in front of the left protection plate 1 of the air inlet can effectively prevent the air inlet of the engine from sucking rain and snow in the driving process of the automobile.
The air inlet left protection component 1 and the air inlet right protection component 2 are matched with the upper grid 9, the radiator side air guide plate 4 and the radiator upper air guide plate 5, so that water flow entering from the upper grid can be well blocked, and the effect of protecting the power performance of an engine is achieved.
