Description

Lamp module for a motor vehicle headlight
Technical Field
The invention relates to a lamp module for a motor vehicle headlight having a cable harness leading out of the lamp module, at the end of which a plug counterpart is arranged, wherein the plug counterpart is fixed in a plug receptacle arranged on a carrier frame carrying the lamp module, wherein the lamp module is pivotable about a first axis of rotation relative to the carrier frame by means of a drive mechanism arranged on the lamp module.
Background
The lamp module with the light source and the drive mechanism (preferably a stepping motor) located therein is supplied with electrical current via the plug counterpart and the cable harness. Since, at the time, LED modules were used more as light sources in motor vehicle headlights (and also in steering headlights), and a greater number of individual cables in the cable harness were necessary for the operation of the LED modules, the overall cable harness tended to have an increased rigidity at sub-zero temperatures.
This results in that a motor which is arranged on the lamp module and is used as a drive requires more force in order to deflect the lamp module, wherein step losses in the motor may occur to an increased extent.
Furthermore, during the continuous movement of the lamp module, an expansion of the plug connection of the individual cables of the cable harness on the plug counterpart occurs, which leads to frequent poor contacts on the plug counterpart, wherein a break in the cable cannot be ruled out.
In the known solutions of the prior art, in particular, a considerable cable overlength (Kabel ü berlang) is used, as a result of which the cable sheath is scratched on the surrounding components when the lamp module is deflected. In order to prevent the location of such scratches, the individual cables or cable bundles are provided with an additional sheath, for example silicone, in which there is a risk of gas evolution.
Disclosure of Invention
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a lamp module in which the above-mentioned disadvantages and other limitations of the prior art are avoided.
This task is solved by: the plug counterpart arranged in the plug receptacle can be pivoted relative to the plug receptacle.
In this case, the lamp module may be arranged such that: the lamp module comprises at least one light source and at least one reflector, wherein the at least one reflector is configured to emit light.
A further exemplary lamp module may comprise at least one light source, at least one reflector and/or at least one lens, wherein not only the at least one lens or the at least one reflector but also the at least one lens and the at least one reflector are formed optically.
The at least one light source may be embodied in particular as an LED, wherein the at least one light source may also comprise two or more LEDs.
In particular, in the case of two or more light sources, the LEDs are preferably designed such that they are switched on independently of one another and are preferably also dimmed. However, it is also possible to provide: all LEDs of a light source can only be switched on or, preferably, dimmed jointly.
Advantageously, it is provided that: the plug receptacle comprises a frame with a clamping unit, wherein the clamping unit has at least one clamping element for the plug counterpart.
In one embodiment, the arrangement is such that: the plug counterpart is mounted so as to be able to pivot in all directions relative to the plug receptacle.
The clamping unit can be formed in a ball joint manner (kugelegenksartig) together with the frame of the plug receptacle.
In a configuration according to the purpose, provision can be made for: the plug counterpart is rotatable relative to the plug receptacle about a second axis of rotation.
Advantageously, the plug counterpart has a projection which is adapted to be embedded in the at least one clamping element.
It is furthermore advantageous if the clamping unit comprises at least two clamping elements.
It can also be advantageous if a projection arranged on the plug counterpart so as to be rotationally fixed is rotatably mounted in the clamping element.
Advantageously, it is provided that: the clamping unit is fixed on the frame.
In an advantageous further development, provision can be made for: the frame is integrally formed with the clamping unit.
A practical configuration of the invention is such that: a plug guard with clamping hooks is arranged on the plug receptacle, which plug guard holds a plug plugged onto the plug counterpart in its plugged position during a rotational movement of the plug counterpart, wherein cable bundles of the plug plugged onto the plug counterpart are located between the clamping hooks.
It may also be advantageous to form the plug receptacle and the plug fuse in one piece.
Furthermore, it is advantageous if a plug connection between the plug counterpart and the plug is releasable.
In an advantageous variant, a locking element can be arranged at each end of the clamping hooks in order to limit the rotational movement of the plug connection between the plug counterpart and the plug.
Advantageously, the plug receptacle is detachable from the carrier frame.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows an exemplary lamp module having a light source, a reflector, a lens 104 which is arranged in the light exit direction of the installed lamp module and forms the light, and a cable harness 200 which exits from the lamp module and at the end of which a plug counterpart 201 is arranged which is fastened in a plug receptacle 300 which is arranged on a carrier frame 105 carrying the lamp module, wherein the lamp module is deflectable about a first axis of rotation X relative to the carrier frame 105 by means of a motor 106 (e.g. a stepping motor) arranged on the lamp module, wherein fig. 2 shows a front view of the lamp module and fig. 3 shows a top view of the lamp module.
The lamp module and the motor 106 are supplied with power or energy via the cable harness 200 and a plug 400 plugged onto the plug counterpart 201, wherein the plug counterpart 201 is arranged in the plug receptacle 300 and is mounted so as to be pivotable relative thereto.
The plug receptacle 300 according to the invention comprises a frame 301 having a clamping unit 302, the clamping unit 302 in an exemplary embodiment having two clamping elements 303 for the plug counterpart 201, as is shown in fig. 4 and 5.
In the embodiment of the invention shown in the figures, the plug counterpart 201 is pivotable about the second axis of rotation y relative to the plug receptacle 300, as is illustrated in fig. 1, wherein an omnidirectional pivotability is possible in view of a possible ball joint-type configuration of the clamping unit 302 together with the frame 301.
The arrangement or orientation of the second axis of rotation y should be selected such that the plug counterpart 201 can be rotated or deflected about the second axis of rotation y essentially in the direction of the applied tensile and/or compressive force when a tensile and/or compressive force is applied to the plug counterpart 201 via the cable or cable bundle 200 connected to the plug counterpart 201.
Furthermore, the plug counterpart 201 has two projections 202 corresponding to the number of clamping elements 303, which are adapted to engage in the clamping elements 303, as is shown in fig. 10 and 11, wherein the projections 202 are arranged on the plug counterpart 201 in a rotationally fixed manner and are rotatably supported in the clamping elements 303. The possibility of the projection 202 being arranged in the clamping element 303 so as to be rotationally fixed and rotatable on the plug counterpart 201 is also conceivable.
In fig. 4, 5, 6 and 7, the clamping elements 303 are each provided with an opening or recess for the projection 202 of the plug counterpart 201, so that the projection 202 can be pushed into the opening or recess. Furthermore, one of the clamping elements 303 can have a recess or opening and the other clamping element does not have a recess or opening, as is shown in fig. 8, so that one of the projections 202 of the plug counterpart 201 is introduced into the clamping element 303 without an opening or recess and the other projection 202 is pushed into the other clamping element 303 by means of the opening or recess arranged on this clamping element 303.
A further example provides that none of the clamping elements 303 has an opening or recess for inserting and/or guiding the projection 202 (as shown in fig. 9), wherein the clamping element 303 is made of a resilient material such that it makes it possible for the projection 202 to be jammed into the clamping element 303.
Further, the clamping unit 302 is fixedly secured to the frame 301 or integrally formed. In an embodiment, which is not shown, the plug counterpart 201 can be arranged in a rotationally fixed manner in the clamping element 303, wherein a pivotability of the plug counterpart 201 relative to the plug receptacle 300 is achieved by means of a pivotable clamping unit 302.
In the exemplary embodiment shown in the figures, the clamping element 303 is designed such that it can receive a commercially available plug counterpart 201, for example a socket, for a lamp module, for example a turn signal module, as is shown in fig. 10, 11, 12 and 13.
In fig. 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, the plug receptacle 300 has a plug guard 305 arranged thereon, wherein the plug guard 305 has holding hooks 306 which hold a plug 400 plugged onto the plug counterpart 201 in its plugged position during a rotational movement of the plug counterpart 201, wherein a cable harness of the plug 400 plugged onto the plug counterpart 201 is located between the holding hooks 306.
The clamping hooks 306 can have different lengths in order to cover different arc lengths of the rotational movement of the plug counterpart 201.
Furthermore, a locking element 307 (as shown in fig. 12) can be provided at the ends of the clamping hooks 306 in each case, so that the rotational movement of a plug connection between the plug counterpart 201 and the plug 400 is limited or guided.
Fig. 13 shows a plug receptacle 300 in the carrier frame 105, which plug receptacle has a plug counterpart 201 arranged therein.
As a further alternative, provision may be made for: the plug receptacle 300 is formed integrally with the carrier frame 105 and is almost an integral part of the carrier frame 105, for example, by means of an injection molding process.
