It should be noted that the condition satisfied by the sum of the volume of the main water box 2 and the volume of the auxiliary water box 3 can be determined according to actual conditions, for example, the required volume of the water box when the clothes dryer is fully loaded, that is, the amount of condensed water generated by the clothes during a complete drying cycle when the clothes with rated volume are placed in the clothes dryer. Of course, on the premise of ensuring the volume reduction of the main water box 2, the sum of the volumes of the main water box 2 and the auxiliary water box 3 can also be larger than the required volume when the clothes are fully loaded, and is not limited herein. In a possible implementation manner, the volume of the main water box 2 is smaller than the volume of condensed water generated when the clothes dryer is fully dried, and the sum of the volumes of the main water box 2 and the auxiliary water box 3 is larger than or equal to the volume of the condensed water generated when the clothes dryer is fully dried.
Since most users do not fill up the laundry when using the dryer, the amount of condensed water generated from drying the laundry once is generally less than 60% of the volume of the condensed water generated from drying the laundry fully. Therefore, it is preferable to set the volume of the main water box 2 to be less than or equal to 60% of the volume of condensed water generated when the dryer is fully dried. Therefore, the volume of the main water box 2 can meet the use requirements of most users, the use frequency of the auxiliary water box 3 is reduced, and the energy consumption of the water pump 5 is reduced.

According to the heat pump type clothes dryer provided by the embodiment of the invention, as the two separated water boxes of the main water box 2 and the auxiliary water box 3 are arranged in the condensed water collection assembly, when the evaporator condensed water collected in the water storage tank 1 reaches a certain amount, the water pump 5 conveys the water in the water storage tank 1 to the detachable main water box 2, and when the water in the main water box 2 overflows, the overflowing water can flow into the auxiliary water box 3 through the overflow pipe 6, so that the sum of the volume of the main water box 2 and the volume of the auxiliary water box 3 only needs to meet the requirement, and the volume of the main water box 2 can be properly reduced.
