Fig. 1 is an exploded view of an arm supporting device 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The arm support device 1 according to the embodiment of the present invention may be attached to the periphery of a medical bed, for example, to a side rail of the medical bed, thereby supporting the arm of the patient. In addition, the arm supporting device 1 in the embodiment of the present invention can also be used to adjust the placing angle of the arm of the patient, so as to change the opening and closing degree of the arm of the patient according to the requirement.
The arm supporting device 1 includes a base 11, a rod 132, an arm supporting platform 12 and a resilient element 14. The arm support device 1 can be attached to a side rail of a medical bed through a base 11. The base 11 includes a first surface 11S1 and an opening 11H.
The arm support platform 12 is used for supporting the arm of the patient and can be made of non-metal material so as not to interfere with the examination result of the arm of the patient under the X-ray irradiation. In one embodiment, the arm support platform 12 is made of a bakelite board, so that the arm support platform 12 has the advantages of insulation, light transmittance, and sufficient rigidity. The arm support platform 12 includes opposing first and second ends 12E1 and 12E 2. The opening 12H is disposed at the first end 12E1 of the arm support platform 12, and the opening 12H does not extend to the second end 12E2 of the arm support platform 12. The rod 132 may be disposed on the base 11 sequentially passing through the opening 12H of the arm supporting platform 12 and the opening 11H of the base 11, and the rod 132 is perpendicular to the first surface 11S1 of the base 11. With the opening 12H disposed, the arm support platform 12 is disposed on the base 11 at the first end 12E 1. That is, the second end 12E2 of the arm support platform 12 is not in a connected or bearing relationship with the base 11. Further, the second end 12E2 of the arm support platform 12 may be a free end.
The elastic element 14 is disposed on the base 11 for applying a force to make the arm supporting platform 12 bear against the first surface 11S1 of the base 11 with the first end 12E 1. Fig. 2A is a front view of the arm supporting device 1 for placing an arm according to an embodiment of the invention. The elastic element 14 is disposed on the base 11 and sleeved on the rod 132. By providing the elastic element 14 for applying a force to the arm supporting platform 12, the medical staff can use a single hand to lift the second end 12E2 of the arm supporting platform 12 upward and rotate the arm supporting platform 12 around the rod 132 relative to the base 11, so that the arm supporting platform 12 can be supported against the first surface 11S1 of the base 11 by the force of the elastic element 14 to adjust the angle of the arm supporting platform 12, thereby adjusting the angle of the arm 10 of the patient.
In one embodiment, the first surface 11S1 may be an upper surface of the base 11. The arm support platform 12 includes a support plate upper surface 12S1 and a support plate lower surface 12S 2. By providing the elastic member 14, the lower surface 12S2 of the support plate can be abutted against the first surface 11S1 of the base 11 when the second end 12E2 of the arm support platform 12 is not under any force. However, in the present invention, the first surface 11S1 may be the lower surface of the base 11. In this case, by the arrangement of the elastic member 14, when the second end 12E2 of the arm supporting platform 12 is not subjected to any force, the upper surface 12S1 of the supporting plate of the arm supporting platform 12 can be abutted against the first surface 11S1 of the base 11.
Fig. 2B is a top view of the arm support device 1 of fig. 2A. Referring to fig. 1, fig. 2A and fig. 2B, in some embodiments, the base 11 may include a first position-limiting portion 11L, and the first position-limiting portion 11L is disposed on the first surface 11S1 of the base 11. The arm supporting platform 12 may include a second limiting portion 12L, and the second limiting portion 12L is disposed on the lower surface 12S2 of the supporting plate of the arm supporting platform 12. The first position-limiting portion 11L and the second position-limiting portion 12L may be used to assist in positioning the arm support platform 12. In detail, when the arm supporting platform 12 is supported against the first surface 11S1 of the base 11 by the force of the elastic element 14, the first limiting portion 11L and the second limiting portion 12L prevent the arm supporting platform 12 from rotating around the rod 132 on the first surface 11S1 relative to the base 11, and at this time, the first limiting portion 11L and the second limiting portion 12L allow the arm supporting platform 12 to rotate upward only with the side 12F (labeled in fig. 4A) of the first end 12E1 as a fulcrum.
In one embodiment, the first position-limiting portion 11L and the second position-limiting portion 12L may be two surfaces having sufficient friction force with each other. In another embodiment, the first position-limiting portion 11L and the second position-limiting portion 12L may be gears that can be engaged with each other. In the embodiment shown in fig. 1, 2A and 2B, the first position-limiting portion 11L may be a plurality of grooves 111, and the second position-limiting portion 12L may be a bump 121. The angle adjustment of the arm support platform 12 and the positioning of the arm support platform 12 can be further ensured by the arrangement of the first limiting part 11L and the second limiting part 12L.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 1 and 2A, the arm supporting device 1 may further include a pull pin 13. The pull pin 13 includes a rod head 131 and a rod body 132, and the elastic element 14 is connected to the base 11 and the pull pin 13. The arm support platform 12 is disposed between the club head 131 and the base 11. When the arm supporting platform 12 rotates upward with the side 12F (shown in fig. 4A) of the first end 12E1 as a fulcrum, the pulling pin 13 can move upward perpendicular to the first surface 11S, and the rod head 131 can abut against the supporting plate upper surface 12S1 to prevent the arm supporting platform 12 from falling off due to the upward rotation.
In some embodiments, the rod 131 may be an arc-shaped body, for example, a geometric body such as a hemisphere, a sphere, etc. The arc-shaped surface of the arc-shaped body is disposed toward the upper surface 12S1 of the supporting plate of the arm supporting platform 12, so that the rotation of the arm supporting platform 12 is smoother, and the upper surface 12S1 of the supporting plate can be prevented from being scratched by the rotation of the arm supporting platform 12. However, the present invention is not limited thereto.
It should be noted that the embodiment of the present invention is not limited to the arrangement of the pull pin 13 and the elastic element 14, and other types of mechanisms may be used. For example, any mechanism that can achieve the following two conditions can be used as an embodiment of the present invention, as long as the mechanism is understood by those skilled in the art. First, any mechanism that enables the arm support platform 12 to abut against the first surface 11S1 of the base 11 when the arm support platform 12 is in an unadjusted state. Second, any mechanism that enables one end of the arm support platform 12 to pivot upward relative to the base 11 when the arm support platform 12 is in the adjusted state.
Please refer to fig. 3A, which is a front view of a portion of the arm supporting device 1 of fig. 2A. In fig. 3A, the arm support platform 12 is omitted. In this embodiment, the first surface 11S1 of the base 11 is horizontally disposed, but the invention is not limited thereto. In another embodiment, the first surface 11S 1' of the base 11 can be at an angle θ with respect to horizontal, and 3 θ ≦ 5. Therefore, the blood circulation in the arm of the patient can be facilitated.
Fig. 3B is a schematic diagram illustrating the structure of fig. 3A from another view angle. Referring to fig. 2B and fig. 3B, the grooves 111 are circumferentially spaced from each other around the rod 132. In other words, the grooves 111 are arranged in a radial manner with the rod 132 as a center. Thus, the protruding point 121 can be selectively inserted into one of the grooves 111 by rotating the arm support platform 12 around the rod 132 relative to the base 11, so as to adjust the angle of the arm support platform 12.
In one embodiment, the groove 111 may be recessed inward from the first surface 11S1 of the base 11. In the embodiment shown in fig. 3B, the grooves 111 may be recessed from the side surface 11S2 of the base in addition to the first surface 11S1 of the base 11. For example, the base 11 may further include a plurality of inclined surfaces 112, the inclined surfaces 112 are connected between the first surface 11S1 and the side surface 11S2, and the inclined surfaces 112 are respectively formed in the grooves 111.
Fig. 4A is a schematic diagram illustrating the operation of the arm supporting device 1 of fig. 2A. Fig. 4B is a schematic operation diagram of the arm supporting device 1 of fig. 2A in a perspective view. Referring to fig. 4A and 4B, when adjusting the angle of the arm of the patient, the medical staff can lift the second end 12E2 of the arm supporting platform 12 with one hand, so that the arm supporting platform 12 rotates upward along the direction R0 with the side 12F of the first end 12E1 as the fulcrum. At this time, the bump 121 is separated from the groove 111, and the elastic element 14 stores elastic potential energy due to compression. The healthcare worker may then rotate the second end 12E2 of the arm support platform 12 in either direction R1 or direction R2 using a single hand. When the arm support platform 12 is rotated to the fixed point, the elastic potential energy stored in the elastic element 14 exerts a force to make the arm support platform 12 abut against the first surface 11S1 of the base 11. At this time, the protruding point 121 can be embedded into one of the selected grooves 111 to complete the angle adjustment of the arm supporting platform 12.
Please refer to fig. 5, which is a schematic diagram of the arm supporting platform of the arm supporting apparatus 1 of fig. 2B after completing the angle adjustment. In addition, fig. 5 also substantially shows that the arm supporting platform 12 of fig. 4B is rotated along the direction R1 to adjust the angle of the arm supporting platform 12. Compared with the arm supporting device 1 shown in fig. 2B, the arm supporting platform 12 rotates to a desired angle according to the requirement, and thus the degree of opening and closing of the arm of the patient is changed.
The arm supporting device can freely adjust the angle of the arm supporting platform according to the requirement, so as to change the opening and closing degree of the arm of the patient. By providing the elastic element for applying a force to the arm support platform to cause the first end to bear against the first surface of the base, the medical staff can adjust the angle of the arm support platform even with one-handed operation.
Furthermore, one end of the arm supporting platform is arranged on the base, and the other end of the arm supporting platform can be a free end. In the case of the arm support platform made of non-metal material, since the components (e.g. the elastic component made of metal) which may interfere with the examination result of the arm under the X-ray irradiation are gathered near the end of the arm support platform, the examination result of the arm of the patient under the X-ray irradiation is not interfered.
The present invention has been described in relation to the above embodiments, which are only exemplary of the implementation of the present invention. It should be noted that the disclosed embodiments do not limit the scope of the invention. Rather, it is intended that all such modifications and variations be included within the spirit and scope of this invention.
