Referring to fig. 1 to 3, in an embodiment, the electronic device 10 is a mobile phone. The electronic device 10 includes a display module 100, a middle frame 200 and a cover plate 300, wherein the middle frame 200 is in a shape of a Chinese character kou, and the display module 100 and the cover plate 300 are respectively disposed on two sides of the middle frame 200. The cover plate 300 and the middle frame 200 are made of the same material and are both made of glass or ceramic, and the thickness of the middle frame 200 is larger than that of the cover plate 300. The middle frame 200 is provided with a step-shaped limiting groove 230 at the inner edge thereof near one side of the cover plate 300, and the cover plate 300 is adhered to the limiting groove 230.
The display screen 120 module comprises a display screen 120 and a panel 110, the panel 110 in the display screen 120 module is covered on the shell, the display screen 120 is positioned in the middle frame 200, and the panel 110 can be smoothly butted with the middle frame 200. The cap plate 300 includes an outer surface 310, an inner surface 320, and a side 330 connecting the outer surface 310 and the inner surface 320. The middle frame 200 includes an outer surface 210, an inner surface 220. The following description will be given taking a case where the cover plate 300 is a one-piece rectangular straight glass plate as an example. In the present embodiment, the middle frame 200 is in a shape of a square, and is disposed around the edge of the cover plate 300. That is, the middle frame 200 is disposed at the edges of the two long sides and the two short sides of the cover plate 300. Wherein, the edge of the cover plate 300 may be in a curved arc shape, i.e. 2.5D glass; the whole body can also be in the shape of an arc curved surface, namely 3D glass. The outer surface 310 of the cover plate 300 may be curved to improve the feel of the middle frame 200. It will be appreciated that the cover plate 300 and the bezel 200 are assembled together to form the housing of the electronic device 10.
As shown in fig. 4, in the direction perpendicular to the cover plate 300, the distance H between the side of the middle frame 200 away from the cover plate 300 and the cover plate 300 is 3.5mm to 8.5 mm. The above H represents the height of the middle frame 200, and the middle frame 200 has a suitable height, so that the middle frame can accommodate the battery, the main board, the display screen 120 module and other components of the electronic device 10. In other alternative embodiments, the cover plate 300 may also be an arc-shaped glass plate.
As shown in fig. 3 and 4, the thickness of the middle frame 200 is greater than that of the cover plate 300. Thus, the middle frame 200 with a larger thickness can be provided with more shapes, so that the shape of the shell of the electronic device 10 can be relatively richer and has higher identification. Wherein, the thickness L2 of the cover plate 300 can be 0.6 mm-1.0 mm, and the thickness L1 of the middle frame 200 can be 1.5 mm-3.5 mm. It is understood that the thickness of the middle frame 200 refers to the overall thickness of the middle frame 200, as may be the average thickness of the middle frame 200. The thickness of the middle frame 200 may be different or the same throughout. As shown in fig. 6, the thickness of the middle frame 200 may gradually increase in a direction away from the cover plate 300, and is enlarged; as shown in fig. 4, the middle frame 200 may have a slightly larger thickness at the middle part and near the main body part, and a slightly smaller thickness at the end part, and may have an arc shape. In the present invention, the thickness of the center frame 200 is not particularly limited. Meanwhile, the thickness of the middle frame 200 is relatively thick, and a structure matched with the mainboard and the display screen 120 module can be arranged on the inner side of the middle frame 200, so that the mainboard and the display screen 120 module 100 are directly installed on the middle frame 200, and the structure of the mobile phone is simpler.
Referring to fig. 5, when the case is manufactured, the edge of the cover plate 300 is bonded in the limiting groove 230 of the middle frame 200, so that the middle frame 200 and the cover plate 300 are fixed together, and the all-glass outer shell is obtained. Meanwhile, the limiting groove 230 is arranged, so that the relative positioning between the middle frame 200 and the cover plate 300 can be conveniently realized, and the middle frame 200 and the cover plate 300 can be more conveniently assembled. Meanwhile, the limiting groove 230 is arranged, so that the middle frame 200 and the cover plate 300 can be connected more firmly together, and slippage between the middle frame 200 and the cover plate 300 is avoided. The casing of the electronic device 10 is formed by the bonding method, so that the full-glass casing can be obtained without performing hot bending treatment on the straight glass, and the casing is simple and convenient to manufacture. Meanwhile, the housing has good three-dimensional effect, so that the appearance of the electronic device 10 is very attractive.
In the direction perpendicular to the cover plate 300, the ratio of the depth L3 of the limiting groove 230 to the thickness of the cover plate 300 is 0.5-1, i.e., L3/L2 is not less than 0.5 and not more than 1. The cover plate 300 is relatively thin, so that the limiting groove 230 has a certain depth, and the cover plate 300 and the middle frame 200 can be assembled conveniently. Wherein, the side 330 of the cover plate 300 is matched with the groove wall of the corresponding limit groove 230, so that the connection between the cover plate 300 and the middle frame 200 is tighter.
The outer surface of the cover plate 300 is smoothly abutted with the outer surface of the middle frame 200, so that the smooth feeling of the housing of the electronic device 10 can be ensured. Specifically, after the cover plate 300 and the middle frame 200 are connected together, a small amount of CNC grinding can be performed on the outer side of the connection between the two, so as to smooth the outer surfaces of the two. Of course, the cover plate 300 and the middle frame 200 may be polished before assembly, so that the outer surfaces of the two assembled can be smoothly butted. In other alternative embodiments, as shown in fig. 7 and 8, a plastic transition portion 400 covering the connection between the cover plate 300 and the middle frame 200 may be formed at the outer side of the connection between the cover plate 300 and the middle frame 200 by injection molding, so that the connection between the cover plate 300 and the middle frame 200 is smoothly transitioned, for example, the outer surface of the plastic transition portion 400 smoothly interfaces with the outer surface of the cover plate 300. It is understood that the plastic transition portion 400 may cover both the cover plate 300 and the outer surface of the middle frame 200. By providing the plastic transition 400, CNC is avoided for the center frame 200 and the cover plate 300. Wherein the plastic transition portion 400 is formed of at least one or more of epoxy, PC plastic, PMMA plastic, and POM plastic. Wherein the plastic transition portion 400 is transparent. PC plastics are known as polycarbonate materials; PMMA plastic is called polymethyl methacrylate, commonly called organic glass; POM plastic is called polyoxymethylene resin, and is one of synthetic resins.
Referring to fig. 3 and 4, in the conventional art, the full-glass case of the present invention in which the center frame 200 is thick and the cover plate 300 is thin can be obtained by hot bending a straight glass plate, but the thickness of the glass case obtained by the hot bending method is the same at each location, that is, the glass thickness of the curved side wall portion (i.e., the center frame 200) is equal to the glass thickness of the straight plate portion (i.e., the cover plate 300). When the thickness of the middle frame 200 is larger than that of the cover plate 300, CNC processing is performed on the glass of the straight plate portion to thin the glass of the straight plate portion, so that the thickness of the curved side wall portion is larger than that of the straight plate portion. Meanwhile, when the glass is subjected to hot bending, the whole thickness of the glass is the same as that of the middle frame 200, namely the whole thickness of the glass is larger, and the difficulty of the glass in hot bending is increased. According to the technical scheme of the invention, glass does not need to be subjected to hot bending, and only the middle frame 200 needs to be fixed at the edge of the cover plate 300, so that the manufacturing difficulty and the cost of the shell of the electronic device 10 are greatly reduced.
The light transmittances of the cover plate 300 and the middle frame 200 are equal. Such as the cover plate 300, may be between 50% and 98%. Thus, the cover plate 300 and the middle frame 200 are integrated in visual effect, so that an obvious interface is prevented from being formed at the joint of the cover plate 300 and the middle frame 200, and the shell presents an integrated effect. It is understood that the transmittance of the cover plate 300 and the transmittance of the middle frame 200 are not required to be completely the same, and the transmittance difference between the two may vary from-5% to 5%, which also falls into the category of equal transmittance. Wherein the light transmittance of the transparent adhesive layer (not shown) for bonding the cover plate 300 and the middle frame 200 is equal to that of the cover plate 300 and the middle frame 200. When the plastic transition part 400 is provided, the light transmittance of the plastic transition part 400 is also equal to that of the cover plate 300 and the middle frame 200.
The inner surface 320 of the cover plate 300 and the inner surface 220 of the middle frame 200 are covered with a decorative layer (not shown), i.e., the decorative layer is disposed on the inner surface of the housing of the electronic device 10. In one embodiment, a film may be formed on the inner surface 320 of the cover plate 300 and the inner surface 220 of the middle frame 200 by evaporation to serve as a decoration layer, and in other alternative embodiments, ink may be sprayed on the inner surface 320 of the cover plate 300 and the inner surface 220 of the middle frame 200, or a film may be adhered on the inner surface 320 of the cover plate 300 and the inner surface 220 of the middle frame 200 to form a decoration layer. If the decorative layer is black, the inner structure of the mobile phone is prevented from being seen through the casing, and the middle frame 200 and the cover plate 300 have a more integrated visual effect. Certainly, the decorative layer can also be provided with patterns to enhance the aesthetic property of the mobile phone rear shell.
The present invention also provides a method of assembling an electronic device 10, comprising: arranging the display module on one side of the middle frame, wherein the other side of the middle frame is provided with a limiting groove; assembling the functional elements in the middle frame; and adhering the cover plate to the limiting groove on the other side of the middle frame.
The functional element comprises a battery, a mainboard and the like. In assembly, the display module 100 may be fixed to the middle frame 200, then the main board, the battery, and other components of the mobile phone are fixed to the middle frame 200 in sequence, and finally the cover plate 300 is fixed to the middle frame 200. The middle frame can be CNC processed by square glass to form the middle frame with the required shape.
The technical features of the above embodiments can be arbitrarily combined, and for the sake of brevity, all possible combinations of the technical features in the above embodiments are not described, but should be considered as the scope of the present specification as long as there is no contradiction between the combinations of the technical features.
The above examples only show some embodiments of the present invention, and the description thereof is more specific and detailed, but not construed as limiting the scope of the present invention. It should be noted that, for a person skilled in the art, several variations and modifications can be made without departing from the inventive concept, which falls within the scope of the present invention. Therefore, the protection scope of the present patent shall be subject to the appended claims.
