As shown in fig. 1, the display area of the display panel has an irregular boundary Y ', at a position close to the irregular boundary Y', the pixel rows pH 'are retracted with respect to the adjacent pixel rows pH', that is, the number of the pixels p 'disposed in the two adjacent pixel rows pH' is unequal, so that the display area forms a plurality of steps T 'close to the irregular boundary Y', and the display panel has a zigzag shape at the edge of the display area during displaying, which affects the display effect. In order to realize normal display of a color picture, the pixels retracted in the display panel are generally complete pixel units (each pixel unit may include a plurality of sub-pixels with different colors, for example) capable of realizing display of different gray scales, one or more pixel units are different between two adjacent pixel rows on the side close to the special-shaped boundary, the two adjacent pixel rows form a larger step, and the jaggy feeling is very obvious during display. In order to solve the above problem, the inventors propose a display panel and a display device, which are provided at an edge near an irregular boundary, and if a part of sub-pixels in two adjacent pixel rows, one pixel row being shifted by one pixel relative to the other pixel row, can be 0 to 2 sub-pixels, the size of a step formed by two adjacent pixel rows near the irregular boundary can be reduced, and the edge jaggy feeling during display can be reduced.

The pixel units comprise first pixel units adjacent to the special-shaped boundary, the arrangement modes of sub-pixels in each first pixel unit are the same along the extending direction of the special-shaped boundary, and at the edge close to the special-shaped boundary, one pixel row in any two adjacent pixel rows is retracted by n sub-pixels (n is more than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 2) relative to the other pixel row, namely the length of a step formed by the two adjacent pixel rows is less than or equal to the width of the two sub-pixels, the length of the step formed by the two adjacent pixel rows can be obviously reduced, the size of the step formed by the two adjacent pixel rows at the side close to the special-shaped boundary can be reduced, the sawtooth feeling during display can be reduced, and the display effect is improved.
Although some specific embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail by way of examples, it should be understood by those skilled in the art that the above examples are for illustrative purposes only and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. It will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that modifications may be made to the above embodiments without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention. The scope of the invention is defined by the appended claims.
