Description

Touch unit detection method and system of embedded touch display panel
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of display, in particular to a touch unit detection method and a touch unit detection system of an embedded touch display panel.
Background
With the development of Display technology, flat panel Display devices such as Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs) have advantages such as high image quality, power saving, thin body, and wide application range, and thus are widely used in various consumer electronics products such as mobile phones, televisions, personal digital assistants, digital cameras, notebook computers, and desktop computers, and become the mainstream of Display devices.
Most of the existing liquid crystal displays in the market are backlight liquid crystal displays (lcds), which include a liquid crystal display panel and a backlight module (backlight module). The liquid crystal display panel operates on the principle that liquid crystal molecules are filled between a Thin Film Transistor Array (TFT Array Substrate) and a Color Filter (CF) Substrate, and driving voltages are applied to the two substrates to control the rotation direction of the liquid crystal molecules, so that light of the backlight module is refracted out to generate a picture.
The touch liquid crystal display panel can be divided into a resistive type, a capacitive type, an optical type and a sound wave type according to different sensing technologies, the current mainstream touch technology is the capacitive type, wherein the capacitive type is also divided into a self-capacitive type and a mutual capacitive type, the capacitive type touch display panel on the market is mainly the mutual capacitive type, and the mutual capacitance has the advantage of realizing multi-point touch. Touch display panels can be divided into an external (on-cell) type and an embedded (in-cell) type according to different structures: the outer hanging type is that the touch sensor is manufactured on the surface of the color filter, the touch sensor and glass are manufactured into a touch panel module, and then the touch panel module is attached to the liquid crystal panel module. The embedded touch sensor is manufactured in a panel structure, the touch sensor is directly arranged in a thin film transistor liquid crystal display panel module, the touch function is integrated in a display, and a touch panel does not need to be externally hung, so the thickness of the embedded touch sensor is lighter and thinner than that of an externally hung touch panel.
The existing embedded touch display panel can only test the display effect in the process stage of forming a box (Cell) by a TFT substrate and a CF substrate, and the touch effect cannot be tested due to the fact that an Integrated Circuit (IC) and a Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) are not bonded, so that the touch effect test needs to be carried out after the IC, the FPC and the display panel are bonded in the process stage of a module, although the embedded touch display panel with poor touch can be tested in the process stage of the module, materials of the IC and the FPC are wasted due to the fact that the IC and the FPC are bonded, and the touch effect cannot be tested in the process stage of the Cell, the display panel with poor touch flows into the next process, and the production efficiency is reduced.

Specifically, the detecting device 2 includes a plurality of power supply devices 20 connected to the plurality of touch units 10 in a one-to-one correspondence manner, a plurality of current detecting devices 30, and a plurality of capacitance detecting devices 40, where the power supply devices 20 are configured to provide voltages to the touch units 10, the current detecting devices 30 are configured to detect current values of the touch units 10, and the capacitance detecting devices 40 are configured to detect capacitance values of the touch units 10.

Specifically, referring to fig. 2 and fig. 3, a preferred embodiment of the present invention is described, in which a plurality of touch units 10 arranged in an array are simplified into a4 × 4 array, and a total of 16 touch units 10 are sequentially labeled as a1-a16, power devices 20 corresponding to the touch units 10 a1-a16 are sequentially labeled as B1-B16, current detection devices 30 corresponding to the touch units 10 a1-a16 are sequentially labeled as C1-C16, and capacitance detection devices 40 corresponding to the touch units 10 a1-a16 are sequentially labeled as D1-D16.
When short-circuit detection is performed on the touch unit 10 a1-a16, firstly, the power supply device 20B 1 supplies a dc voltage to the touch unit 10 a1, the power supply device 20B 2-B16 supplies a low voltage to the touch unit 10 a2-a16, and the current detection device 30C 1-C16 starts to detect the current value of the touch unit 10 a1-a16 (since there is a voltage difference between the touch units 10 that are short-circuited with each other, a current flows, that is, the current value is not 0, and if no short-circuit occurs, no current flows, that is, the current value is 0). When the touch unit 10 a1 and one or more of the remaining touch units 10 are shorted, for example, when the touch unit 10 a1 is shorted with the touch unit a2 A3, the current detection devices 30C 1-C3 respectively detect that the current value of the touch unit 10 a1-A3 is not 0, and when the touch unit 10 a1 is not shorted with the touch unit 10 a2-a16, the current detection devices 30C 1-C16 respectively detect that the current value of the touch unit 10 a1-a16 is 0, and at this time, the short circuit detection of the touch unit 10 a1 is completed.
Then, the power device 20B 2 provides a dc voltage to the touch cell 10 a2, the power devices 20B 1 and B3-B16 provide a low voltage to the touch cells 10 a1 and A3-a16, and the current detecting device 30B 1-B16 starts detecting the current of the touch cells 10 a1-a16, thereby completing the short circuit detection of the touch cell 10 a 2. And so on until the short circuit detection of all the touch units 10 is completed.

When the touch unit 10 a1-a16 is open-circuited, the power device 20B 1 stops supplying the dc voltage to the touch unit 10 a1 (which is equivalent to the power device 20B 1 is not present), the power device 20B 2-B16 supplies a low voltage to the touch unit 10 a2-a16, and the capacitance detecting device 40D 1 starts detecting the capacitance of the touch unit 10 a 1. When the capacitance of the touch unit 10 No. a1 is within the preset range, the touch unit 10 No. a1 is not open, and when the capacitance of the touch unit 10 No. a1 is smaller than a preset threshold, the touch unit 10 No. a1 is open, and at this time, the open detection of the touch unit 10 No. a1 is completed.
Then, the power device 20B 2 stops providing the dc voltage to the touch unit 10 a2, the power devices 20B 1 and B3-B16 both provide a low voltage to the touch units 10 a1 and A3-a16, and the capacitance detecting device 40D 2 starts detecting the capacitance of the touch unit 10 a2, thereby completing the open circuit detection of the touch unit 10 a 2. And so on until the open circuit detection of all the touch units 10 is completed.
Referring to fig. 2, based on the method for detecting a touch unit of an in-cell touch display panel, the present invention further provides a system for detecting a touch unit of an in-cell touch display panel, including an in-cell touch display panel 1 and a detection device 2 connected to the in-cell touch display panel 1, where the in-cell touch display panel 1 includes: a plurality of touch units 10 arranged in an array;
the detection device 2 is used for detecting the short circuit of the touch unit 10: selecting one of the touch units 10 as a touch unit 11 to be detected, wherein the detection device 2 provides a direct current voltage to the touch unit 11 to be detected and provides a low potential to the rest of the touch units 10; the detection device 2 starts to detect the current values of all the touch units 10; when the detection device 2 detects that the current value of one or more of the touch unit 11 to be detected and the rest of the touch units 11 is not 0, it is determined that a short circuit occurs between the touch unit 11 to be detected and the touch unit 10 with the current value(s) not 0; when the detection device 2 detects that the current values of all the touch units 10 are 0, it is determined that no short circuit occurs between the touch unit 11 to be detected and the rest of the touch units 10.
