Abstract

In the field of particle accelerators, particularly cyclotrons and linear accelerators with fixed extraction energy, passive energy reduction devices are often used, which are realized by using the principle of energy loss due to interaction between particles and substances. In synchrotrons, such passive energy reduction devices are sometimes used because the accelerator often has a minimum extracted energy.
