Abstract

1) preparation before production: inspecting a flat knitting machine, inputting a knitting program to the flat knitting machine, and installing knitting threads for the flat knitting machine;

3) producing the inner sock connected with the outer sock immediately after the outer sock is knitted in the step 2: the first row of needles of the flat knitting machine are knitted to produce an inner sock surface piece, namely, the single-gauge needles and the double-gauge needles of the first row of needles jointly produce the inner sock surface piece with a single-layer structure at the moment; producing an inner sock bottom sheet with a single-layer structure by knitting a second row of needles of the flat knitting machine;
4) turning the inner sock cover into the outer sock cover and finishing to form a sock shoe cover body with three layers of sock surfaces and two layers of sock bottoms;
5) sleeving the sock shoe cover obtained in the step 4 into a shoe tree, and bonding the inner sock cover and the outer sock cover together by heating;
6) and stripping the sock body from the shoe tree to form the sock.
Further, after the knitting of the inner sock is completed in the step 3, the first and second needle rows of the flat knitting machine may be followed by a sealing process of the inner sock.

In order to form the heel of the sock 2 according to the present invention, as shown in fig. 4 and 6, the second row of needles 12 is knitted with a widening stitch area 41 on the bottom cover 4 in step 2. 3) producing the inner sock connected with the outer sock immediately after the outer sock is knitted in the step 2: the first row of needles of the flat knitting machine are knitted to produce an inner sock surface piece, namely, the single-gauge needles and the double-gauge needles of the first row of needles jointly produce the inner sock surface piece with a single-layer structure at the moment; producing an inner sock bottom sheet with a single-layer structure by knitting a second row of needles of the flat knitting machine;
4) turning the inner sock cover into the outer sock cover and finishing to form a sock shoe cover body with three layers of sock surfaces and two layers of sock bottoms;
5) sleeving the sock shoe cover obtained in the step 4 into a shoe tree, and bonding the inner sock cover and the outer sock cover together by heating;
6) and stripping the sock body from the shoe tree to form the sock.
