Detailed Description
Reference will now be made in detail to the exemplary embodiments, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. When the following description refers to the accompanying drawings, like numbers in different drawings represent the same or similar elements unless otherwise indicated. The implementations described in the exemplary embodiments below are not intended to represent all implementations consistent with the present disclosure. Rather, they are merely examples of apparatus and methods consistent with certain aspects of the present disclosure, as detailed in the appended claims.
An exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure provides a method for determining location information, which may be implemented by a sending end and a receiving end together, as shown in fig. 1, where the sending end may include a plurality of network devices, or may be one network device, such as a network control server, and the receiving end may be a base station, a terminal, a database, and the like. The following description will be made in detail by taking the transmitting end as a network control server and the receiving end as a base station as an example.
The network control server may be a network device in a wireless communication system, for example, may be an MME (Mobility Management Entity) in LTE, and may be an MSC (Mobile Switching Center) in CDMA. The Base Station may be a Base Station in a wireless communication system, for example, a Base Transceiver Station (BTS) in GSM or CDMA, a Base Station (NodeB) in WCDMA (NB) for short, or an evolved Node B (eNB or e-NodeB) in LTE for short. After the network control server sends the location request that does not require QoS to the base station, the base station may exhaust various methods to determine the location information related to the terminal, and further may send a location report message carrying the location information related to the terminal to the network control server, where the location information may be used to process a service.
The network control server may include a processor, memory, transceiver, etc. The processor may be a CPU (Central Processing Unit) or the like, and may be used for Processing related to determining whether to send a location request for an unsolicited QoS. The Memory may be a RAM (Random Access Memory), a Flash (Flash Memory), and the like, and may be configured to store received data, data required by the processing procedure, data generated in the processing procedure, and the like, such as location information related to the terminal. The transceiver may be used for data transmission with a base station or other devices (e.g., a service server), for example, sending a location request that does not require QoS to the base station, receiving a location report message sent by the base station and carrying location information related to a terminal, and the transceiver may include an antenna, a matching circuit, a modem, and the like.
The base station may include a processor, memory, transceiver, etc. The processor may be a CPU or the like, and may be used for a correlation process for determining location information related to the terminal. The memory can be a RAM, a Flash, etc., and can be used for storing received data, data required by the processing process, data generated in the processing process, etc. The transceiver may be used for data transmission with a network control server or other devices (e.g., a terminal), for example, to receive a location request that does not require QoS and sent by the control server, and send location information carrying information related to the terminal to the network control server, and the transceiver may include an antenna, a matching circuit, a modem, and the like.
In this scheme, the network control server may be configured to determine the location information of the terminal. Specifically, the network control server may communicate with each service server, the service server may send a location obtaining request corresponding to a service to the network control server before processing a service (where the service may be a location service processed based on a current location of the terminal), and correspondingly, after receiving the location obtaining request of the service server, the network control server may send a corresponding location request to the base station based on whether the service requires QoS, so as to determine location information of the terminal corresponding to the service.
The process flow shown in fig. 2 will be described in detail below with reference to the embodiments, and the contents may be as follows:
in step 201, if the service does not require QoS, the network control server sends a location request that does not require QoS to the base station.
The service may be a location service of location information of a terminal to which a current location is to be determined, and the base station may be a base station related to the terminal corresponding to the service, for example, a base station providing a service for the terminal.
In implementation, after receiving the location obtaining request sent by the service server, the network control server may determine whether the service requires QoS, and if the service does not require QoS, the network control server may send a location request that does not require QoS to the base station, where the location request that does not require QoS is used to indicate to the base station that the service does not require QoS, as shown in fig. 3. If the service is a service requiring QoS, the network control server may send a location request carrying the QoS required by the service to the base station, where the carried required QoS is used to indicate the QoS required by the service to the base station, so that the base station determines a location estimate of the terminal that satisfies the required QoS. For example, the location obtaining request sent by the service server to the network control server may carry the QoS required by the service (where, if the service is a service requiring QoS, the service server may indicate the QoS required by the service to the network control server, and if the service is a service not requiring QoS, the service server may indicate the service to the network control server as a service not requiring QoS), and the terminal corresponding to the service.
Optionally, based on different manners adopted when the network control server sends the location request that does not require QoS, the processing manner of step 201 may be various, and several feasible processing manners are given below:
in the first mode, if the service does not require QoS, a location request containing no QoS is sent to the base station.
In an implementation, when the network control server determines that the traffic is traffic that does not require QoS, a location request that does not include QoS may be sent to the base station. That is, if the service does not require QoS, the network control server may indicate to the base station that the service does not require QoS by sending a location request to the base station that does not carry QoS parameters, returning information related to the location of the terminal as much as possible.
And if the service does not require QoS, sending a position request carrying indication information to the base station, wherein the indication information is used for indicating that the service does not require QoS to the base station.
In implementation, when the network control server determines that the service does not require QoS, the network control server may send a location request carrying indication information indicating that the service does not require QoS to the base station. For example, the network control server may add a type of QoS, wherein the type of QoS may be used to indicate that the service has no requirement for QoS, and return information relating to the location of the terminal as much as possible. For such a situation, when the network control server determines that the service does not require QoS, it may send a location request carrying the QoS to the base station. That is, if the traffic does not require QoS, the network control server may indicate to the base station that the traffic does not require QoS by sending a location request carrying that type of QoS to the base station.
In step 202, the base station receives a location request that does not require QoS, sent by the network control server.
In an implementation, after the network control server sends the location request not requiring QoS to the base station, the base station may receive the location request not requiring QoS sent by the network control server.
Optionally, for the case that the network control server sends the location request without QoS, the processing procedure of step 202 may be as follows: and receiving a position request which is sent by the network control server and does not contain QoS.
In an implementation, after the network control server sends the location request without QoS to the base station, the base station may receive the location request without QoS sent by the network control server. After receiving the location request without QoS, the base station may determine that the service has no requirement for QoS, and further may determine location information related to the terminal as much as possible in subsequent processing, where a specific processing procedure will be described in detail later. That is, after receiving the location request sent by the network control server, the base station may determine whether the location request carries QoS, and if the location request does not carry QoS, the base station may determine that the service has no requirement for QoS, and subsequently may determine location information related to the terminal as much as possible, and if the location request carries QoS, the subsequent base station may determine a location estimation value that satisfies the carried QoS.
Optionally, for the case that the network control server sends the location request that does not require QoS in the second mode, the processing procedure of step 202 may be as follows: and receiving a position request which is sent by a network control server and carries indication information, wherein the indication information is used for indicating that the service does not require QoS to a base station.
In implementation, after the network control server sends the location request carrying the indication information to the base station, the base station may receive the location request carrying the indication information sent by the network control server. After receiving the location request, the base station may analyze the location request to obtain the indication information carried therein, and further may determine that the service has no requirement for QoS, and may determine the location information related to the terminal as much as possible in the subsequent processing.
In step 203, the base station determines location information related to the terminal.
In implementation, after receiving the location request that does not require QoS and is sent by the network control server, the base station may determine location information related to the terminal corresponding to the service, that is, may determine information related to the location of the terminal.
Alternatively, the location information related to the terminal may be the location information of the terminal itself, and accordingly, the processing procedure of step 203 may be as follows: determining a position estimation value of the terminal according to a preset positioning mode; and determining the position estimation value as the position information related to the terminal.
The position estimation value of the terminal may be position information capable of directly expressing the current position, or position information determined according to information reported by the terminal this time.
In implementation, at least one positioning method may be preset in the base station, where the positioning method may include: the Positioning method includes the steps of GPS (Global Positioning System), base station Positioning (various cellular networks relate to, the position of a terminal is calculated through base station signal differences of mobile communication used by the terminal, the Positioning accuracy depends on the base station coverage density near a Positioning place, the more nearby base stations are, the more accurate the Positioning is, the terminal is required to be capable of receiving and transmitting mobile signals), wifi (Wireless Fidelity) Positioning (the position of the terminal is calculated in a crossed manner according to geographic coordinates of MAC addresses by detecting MAC addresses of all surrounding wifi access points), Bluetooth Positioning, Beidou Positioning and A-GPS Positioning (the position of the terminal is determined by the base stations in general, and then corresponding satellites are found quickly according to the position).
After receiving the location request that does not require QoS, the base station may interact with the terminal through the preset positioning manner to determine the location information (i.e., the location estimation value) of the terminal, and further may determine the determined location estimation value of the terminal as the location information related to the terminal.
Optionally, if the base station does not determine the location estimation value of the terminal itself, the location information related to the terminal may also be other location information related to the terminal, and accordingly, the processing procedure may be as follows: if the position estimation value of the terminal is not determined, other position information related to the terminal is determined; and determining other position information related to the terminal as the position information related to the terminal.
Wherein, the other position information related to the terminal may be position information indirectly expressing the current position.
In implementation, after receiving the location request that does not require QoS and is sent by the network control server, if the base station fails to determine the location estimate of the terminal, the base station may further determine other location information related to the terminal, and further, may determine the determined other location information related to the terminal as the location information related to the terminal. The other location information related to the terminal may be location information of a base station serving the terminal (which may be location information of a base station currently serving the terminal recorded in a database, or location information of a base station serving the terminal recently, where the location information of the base station may be an identifier of the base station, or a geographic location of the base station), or a location estimate of the terminal determined last time.
In step 204, the base station sends a location report message carrying location information related to the terminal to the network control server.
In implementation, after determining the location information related to the terminal, the base station may send a location report message corresponding to the location request to the network control server, where the location report message may carry the determined location information related to the terminal.
Optionally, for a case that the location information related to the terminal is other location information related to the terminal, the location report message may further carry a failure indication, and accordingly, the processing procedure in step 204 may be as follows: and sending a position report message carrying the position information related to the terminal and the failure indication to a network control server.
In implementation, for a situation that the location estimation value of the terminal is not determined, and other location information related to the terminal is determined, the location report message sent by the base station to the network control server may carry a failure indication in addition to the other location information related to the terminal, where the failure indication is used to indicate to the network control server that the location information carried in the location report message is other location information related to the terminal, and is not the location estimation value of the terminal.
Optionally, the base station may also not determine other location information related to the terminal, and in this case, the base station may further perform the following processing: and if the other position information related to the terminal is not determined, sending a position report message carrying the failure indication to the network control server.
In practice, the base station may not determine any location information associated with the terminal (i.e., neither the location estimate of the terminal nor other location information associated with the terminal) after receiving the location request not requiring QoS sent by the network control server. In this case, the base station may send a location report message carrying the failure indication to the network control server.
In step 205, the network control server receives a location report message carrying location information related to the terminal sent by the base station, where the location information is used for processing a service.
In implementation, after the base station sends the location report message carrying the location information related to the terminal to the network control server, the network control server may receive the location report message carrying the location information related to the terminal sent by the base station, where the location information related to the terminal may be used to process a service. Correspondingly, the message sent by the network control server to the location server (such as the gateway mobile location center GMLC) may also carry location information related to the terminal.
Optionally, for a case that the location report message also carries a failure indication, correspondingly, the processing procedure in step 205 may be as follows: and receiving a position report message which is sent by the base station and carries the position information related to the terminal and the failure indication.
In implementation, after the base station sends a location report message carrying the location information related to the terminal and the failure indication to the network control server, the network control server may receive the location report message carrying the location information related to the terminal and the failure indication sent by the base station, where the failure indication is used to indicate to the network control server that the location information carried in the location report message is other location information related to the terminal, not a location estimate of the terminal.
Optionally, for a case that the base station does not determine any location information related to the terminal, and sends a failure indication to the network control server, correspondingly, the network control server may further perform the following processing: and receiving a position report message which is sent by the network control server and carries the failure indication.
In addition, for the situation that the base station acquires the location information of the terminal from the terminal, the sending end may be a network controller and the base station, and the receiving end may be the terminal, and accordingly, a specific processing procedure may be as shown in fig. 4.
The process flow shown in fig. 4 will be described in detail below with reference to the embodiments, and the contents may be as follows:
in step 401, if the service does not require QoS, the network control server sends a location request that does not require QoS to the base station.
In implementation, after receiving the location acquisition request sent by the service server, the network control server may determine whether the service requires QoS, and if the service does not require QoS, the network control server may send a location request that does not require QoS to the base station, where the location request that does not require QoS is used to indicate to the base station that the service does not require QoS. If the service is a service requiring QoS, the network control server may send a location request carrying the QoS required by the service to the base station, where the carried required QoS is used to indicate the QoS required by the service to the base station, so that the base station determines a location estimate of the terminal that satisfies the required QoS. For example, the location obtaining request sent by the service server to the network control server may carry QoS required by the service (where, if the service is a service requiring QoS, the service server may indicate the QoS required by the service to the network control server, and if the service is a service not requiring QoS, the service server may indicate the service to the network control server as a service not requiring QoS), and a terminal (terminal) corresponding to the service.
Accordingly, after the network control server sends the location request not requiring QoS to the base station, the base station may receive the location request not requiring QoS sent by the network control server.
In step 402, the base station sends a location request requiring no QoS to the terminal.
In implementation, after receiving the location request not requiring QoS sent by the network control server, the base station may send the location request not requiring QoS to the terminal.
Accordingly, after the base station sends the location request not requiring QoS to the terminal, the terminal may receive the location request not requiring QoS sent by the base station.
In step 403, the terminal determines the location information of the terminal according to a preset positioning manner.
The location information may be a location estimate of the terminal, such as latitude and longitude information, or information used by the base station to determine the location estimate of the terminal, such as a MAC address of a device that generates the detected wifi signal.
In implementation, after receiving a location request that does not require QoS, the terminal may determine its location information through a plurality of preset location manners.
In step 404, the terminal transmits location information of the terminal to the base station.
Accordingly, after the terminal sends its own location information to the base station, the base station may receive the location information sent by the terminal.
In implementation, after the base station receives the location information sent by the terminal, if the location information is a location estimation value, the base station may directly determine the location information sent by the terminal as the location estimation value of the terminal, and if the location information is information for determining the location estimation value, the base station may determine the location estimation value of the terminal based on the location information sent by the terminal.
In step 405, the base station transmits the location estimate of the terminal to the network control server.
Accordingly, the network control server receives the position estimation value of the terminal sent by the base station, wherein the position information is used for processing the service.
In implementation, after the base station sends the location report message carrying the location estimate of the terminal to the network control server, the network control server may receive the location report message carrying the location estimate of the terminal sent by the base station, where the location estimate of the terminal may be used for processing a service. Correspondingly, the message sent by the network control server to the location server (such as the gateway mobile location center GMLC) may also carry location information related to the terminal.
In addition, the network control server may also send a location request to the terminal through the controller and the base station, and accordingly, a specific processing procedure may be as shown in fig. 5.
The process flow shown in fig. 5 will be described in detail below with reference to the embodiments, and the contents may be as follows:
in step 501, if the traffic does not require QoS, the network control server sends a location request that does not require QoS to the controller.
In implementation, after receiving the location obtaining request sent by the service server, the network control server may determine whether the service requires QoS, and if the service does not require QoS, the network control server may send a location request that does not require QoS to the controller, where the location request that does not require QoS is used to indicate to the base station that the service does not require QoS.
Accordingly, after the network control server sends the location request not requiring QoS to the controller, the controller may receive the location request not requiring QoS sent by the network control server.
In step 502, the controller sends a location request that does not require QoS to the base station.
Accordingly, after the controller sends the location request not requiring QoS to the base station, the location request not requiring QoS sent by the controller may be received.
In step 503, the base station transmits a location request requiring no QoS to the terminal.
In implementation, after receiving the location request requiring no QoS sent by the controller, the base station may send the location request requiring no QoS to the terminal.
Accordingly, after the base station sends the location request not requiring QoS to the terminal, the terminal may receive the location request not requiring QoS sent by the base station.
In step 504, the terminal determines the location information of the terminal according to a preset positioning manner.
In step 505, the terminal transmits location information of the terminal to the base station.
In step 506, the base station transmits the location estimate for the terminal to the controller.
Accordingly, the controller may receive a location estimate of the target location transmitted by the base station.
In step 507, the controller transmits the location estimate of the terminal to the network control server.
Accordingly, the network control server may receive the location estimate of the terminal sent by the controller, wherein the location information is used to process the service.
In an implementation, after the controller sends the location estimate of the terminal to the network control server, the network control server may receive the location estimate of the terminal sent by the controller, wherein the location estimate of the terminal may be used for processing the service. Correspondingly, the message sent by the network control server to the location server (such as the gateway mobile location center GMLC) may also carry location information related to the terminal.
