Abstract
The invention discloses a waterproof polyolefin foam material, a preparation method and application thereof, belonging to the field of waterproof polyolefin foam materials, wherein the waterproof polyolefin foam material comprises the following components in parts by weight: 100 parts of ethylene propylene diene monomer, 15-25 parts of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, 30-40 parts of ethylene-octene copolymer, 1-3 parts of organic silicon elastomer and 4-6 parts of foaming agent, wherein the organic silicon elastomer is a mixture of polydimethylsiloxane cross-linked copolymer and cyclomethicone. The invention also provides a method for preparing the waterproof polyolefin foamed sheet. According to the invention, through the design of components and structure, the foam pores of the polyolefin foam material have high pore-closing property, so that the polyolefin foam material has excellent waterproof performance and can meet the increasingly high requirement of electronic products on waterproof performance.
Description
Technical Field

Background
The irradiation crosslinked polyolefin foam material has good comprehensive performance. The composite material has the advantages of good additional properties of heat insulation, water resistance, shock absorption, sound insulation and the like, good post-processing treatment performance, weather resistance, aging resistance, no toxicity and no harm, and belongs to an environment-friendly new material.
For most electronic products, especially mobile phones, the requirement for waterproofing is very high, waterproofing becomes a standard in the aspect of mobile phones, and many mobile phone manufacturers make many requirements for waterproofing materials in order to be able to occupy market share.
For common foaming materials, high waterproof performance cannot be achieved, and in the face of higher waterproof requirements, a novel polyolefin foaming material with excellent waterproof performance needs to be developed.

Aiming at the defects or improvement requirements of the prior art, the invention provides a waterproof polyolefin foam material, a preparation method and application thereof, and aims to ensure that the foam pores of the polyolefin foam material have high pore-closing property through the design of components and structure, so that the waterproof polyolefin foam material has excellent waterproof performance, and meanwhile, the processing is simple and environment-friendly, and the production operation is more stable.
In order to achieve the above object, according to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a waterproof polyolefin foam material, comprising the following components in parts by weight:
100 parts of Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM),
15-25 parts of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA),
30-40 parts of ethylene-octene copolymer (POE),
1-3 parts of organic silicon elastomer,
4 to 6 parts of a foaming agent,
the silicone elastomer is a mixture of a polydimethylsiloxane cross-linked copolymer and cyclomethicone, and the mass ratio of the polydimethylsiloxane cross-linked copolymer to the cyclomethicone is 1: 2-1: 1.

s2: sequentially pouring the elastomer modified resin master batch, the sensitizer, the organic silicon elastomer and the lubricant into an internal mixer according to a set proportion for internal mixing, wherein the internal mixing temperature is 120 +/-5 ℃, the internal mixing time is 6-8 minutes, and then carrying out melt plasticizing granulation to obtain a sensitized master batch;
s3: pouring the elastomer modified resin master batch, the foaming agent, the filler, the lubricant and the organic silicon elastomer into an internal mixer according to a set proportion for internal mixing, wherein the internal mixing temperature is 120 +/-5 ℃, the internal mixing time is 6-8 minutes, and then carrying out melt plasticizing granulation to obtain a foaming master batch;
s4: mixing ethylene propylene diene monomer, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene-octene copolymer, sensitized master batch and foaming master batch for 2-6 minutes, and then discharging into an extruder to extrude into a foaming body substrate;

And for the irradiation crosslinking foaming material, the high closed-cell foam structure can well play a role in waterproofing. In addition, the foamed polyolefin provided by the invention can play a good waterproof role by adding the thermoplastic elastomer, the elastomer resin is a hydrophobic material, and after foaming, the specific closed cell structure can play a better waterproof role; simultaneously, the added EPDM is filled with oil, so that further prevention is made for water resistance. In addition, the organosilicon elastomer is added, so that the compatibility of resin and powder can be promoted, and meanwhile, the organosilicon elastomer contains silicon which is used as a hydrophobic material and has a certain waterproof effect. In addition, a layer of acrylic resin is finally coated on the surface of the foam, so that the waterproof capability of the foam is further improved.

The addition of EVA is related to compression and softness performance and is related to the structure of foam pores, the smaller the foam pores are, the better the waterproof performance is, and the closed pore structure can obviously improve the waterproof performance.

The oil filling rate of the ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber is 30-50%, the filled oil is preferably naphthenic oil and white mineral oil, and the two types of oil are selected for filling. The properties of the waterproof polyolefin foamed sheet prepared according to the method of the present example were as follows: the closed cell rate is 99 percent, the average diameter of the cells is 50 mu m, the 25 percent compression strength is 28KPa, the compression ratio is 94 percent, and the waterproof grade is IPX 7.
Example 2
S1: weighing ethylene propylene diene monomer, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and ethylene-octene copolymer according to a set proportion, uniformly mixing for 10 minutes, and then extruding and granulating to obtain elastomer modified resin master batches;
s2: sequentially pouring the elastomer modified resin master batch, the sensitizer, the organic silicon elastomer and the lubricant into an internal mixer according to a set proportion for internal mixing, wherein the internal mixing temperature is 120 +/-5 ℃, the internal mixing time is 7 minutes, and then carrying out melt plasticizing granulation to obtain a sensitized master batch;
s3: pouring the elastomer modified resin master batch, the foaming agent, the filler, the lubricant and the organic silicon elastomer into an internal mixer according to a set proportion for internal mixing, wherein the internal mixing temperature is 120 +/-1 ℃, the internal mixing time is 8 minutes, and then carrying out melt plasticizing granulation to obtain a foaming master batch;
s4: mixing ethylene propylene diene monomer, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene-octene copolymer, sensitized master batch and foaming master batch for 2 minutes, and then discharging into an extruder to extrude into a foam substrate;

s2: sequentially pouring the elastomer modified resin master batch, the sensitizer, the organic silicon elastomer and the lubricant into an internal mixer according to a set proportion for internal mixing, wherein the internal mixing temperature is 120 +/-2 ℃, the internal mixing time is 8 minutes, and then carrying out melt plasticizing granulation to obtain a sensitized master batch;

S5: carrying out electron irradiation crosslinking on the foaming body substrate, wherein the electron energy of the irradiation crosslinking is 4.0MeV, and the irradiation dose is 150 megarads, so as to obtain a foaming body master slice;
s6: the foam mother sheet is subjected to free-form foaming to obtain a foamed sheet.

s6: the foam mother sheet is subjected to free-form foaming to obtain a foamed sheet.
S7: and coating an acrylic waterproof coating on the surface of the foaming sheet.
The properties of the waterproof polyolefin foamed sheet prepared according to the method of the present example were as follows: the closed cell rate is 95%, the average diameter of the cells is 96 mu m, the 25% compression strength is 17KPa, the compression ratio is 82%, and the waterproof grade is IPX 7.
Comparative example 1:
s1: weighing ethylene propylene diene monomer, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and ethylene-octene copolymer according to a set proportion, uniformly mixing for 5 minutes, and then extruding and granulating to obtain elastomer modified resin master batches;
s2: sequentially pouring the elastomer modified resin master batch, the sensitizer, the organic silicon elastomer and the lubricant into an internal mixer according to a set proportion for internal mixing, wherein the internal mixing temperature is 120 +/-1 ℃, the internal mixing time is 6 minutes, and then carrying out melt plasticizing granulation to obtain a sensitized master batch;
s3: pouring the elastomer modified resin master batch, the foaming agent, the filler, the lubricant and the organic silicon elastomer into an internal mixer according to a set proportion for internal mixing, wherein the internal mixing temperature is 120 ℃, and the internal mixing time is 6 minutes, and then carrying out melt plasticizing granulation to obtain a foaming master batch;
s4: mixing ethylene propylene diene monomer, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene-octene copolymer, sensitized master batch and foaming master batch for 6 minutes, and then discharging into an extruder to extrude into a foam substrate;
the raw materials are added in a total of several times before and after the preparation of the foam substrate, and the final foam substrate comprises the following components: 80 parts of Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM), 20 parts of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), 35 parts of ethylene-octene copolymer (POE), 3 parts of silicone elastomer and 6 parts of foaming agent, wherein the silicone elastomer is a mixture of polydimethylsiloxane cross-linked copolymer and cyclomethicone, preferably the polydimethylsiloxane cross-linked copolymer: the mass ratio of cyclomethicone is 1: 2.
S5: performing electron irradiation crosslinking on the foaming body substrate, wherein the electron energy of the irradiation crosslinking is 0.1MeV, and the irradiation dose is 35 megarads, so as to obtain a foaming body master slice;
s6: the foam mother sheet is subjected to free-form foaming to obtain a foamed sheet.
S7: and coating an acrylic waterproof coating on the surface of the foaming sheet.
The properties of the waterproof polyolefin foamed sheet prepared according to the method of the present example were as follows: the closed cell rate is 85%, the average diameter of the cells is 132 μm, the 25% compressive strength is 88KPa, the compression ratio is 54%, and the waterproof grade is IPX 5.
Comparative example 2:
s1: weighing ethylene propylene diene monomer, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and ethylene-octene copolymer according to a set proportion, uniformly mixing for 5 minutes, and then extruding and granulating to obtain elastomer modified resin master batches;
s2: sequentially pouring the elastomer modified resin master batch, the sensitizer, the organic silicon elastomer and the lubricant into an internal mixer according to a set proportion for internal mixing, wherein the internal mixing temperature is 120 +/-1 ℃, the internal mixing time is 6 minutes, and then carrying out melt plasticizing granulation to obtain a sensitized master batch;
s3: pouring the elastomer modified resin master batch, the foaming agent, the filler and the lubricant into an internal mixer according to a set proportion for internal mixing, wherein the internal mixing temperature is 120 ℃, the internal mixing time is 6 minutes, and then performing melt plasticizing granulation to obtain a foaming master batch;
s4: mixing ethylene propylene diene monomer, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene-octene copolymer, sensitized master batch and foaming master batch for 6 minutes, and then discharging into an extruder to extrude into a foam substrate;
the raw materials are added in a total of several times before and after the preparation of the foam substrate, and the final foam substrate comprises the following components: 100 parts of Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM), 20 parts of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), 34 parts of ethylene-octene copolymer (POE) and 5 parts of foaming agent,
s5: performing electron irradiation crosslinking on the foaming body substrate, wherein the electron energy of the irradiation crosslinking is 0.1MeV, and the irradiation dose is 35 megarads, so as to obtain a foaming body master slice;
s6: the foam mother sheet is subjected to free-form foaming to obtain a foamed sheet.

S5: performing electron irradiation crosslinking on the foaming body substrate, wherein the electron energy of the irradiation crosslinking is 0.1MeV, and the irradiation dose is 35 megarads, so as to obtain a foaming body master slice;
s6: the foam mother sheet is subjected to free-form foaming to obtain a foamed sheet.
S7: and coating an acrylic waterproof coating on the surface of the foaming sheet.
The properties of the waterproof polyolefin foamed sheet prepared according to the method of the present example were as follows: the closed cell rate is 72 percent, the average diameter of cells is 189 mu m, the 25 percent compression strength is 62KPa, the compression ratio is 33 percent, and the waterproof grade is IPX 4.
It will be understood by those skilled in the art that the foregoing is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and is not intended to limit the invention, and that any modification, equivalent replacement, or improvement made within the spirit and principle of the present invention should be included in the scope of the present invention.
Claims (5)
1. The waterproof polyolefin foam material is characterized in that a layer of acrylic waterproof coating is coated on the surface of the waterproof polyolefin foam material, and the waterproof polyolefin foam material comprises the following components in parts by weight:
100 parts of Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM),
15-25 parts of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA),
30-40 parts of ethylene-octene copolymer (POE),
1-3 parts of organic silicon elastomer,
4 to 6 parts of a foaming agent,
the silicone elastomer is a mixture of a polydimethylsiloxane cross-linked copolymer and cyclomethicone, the mass ratio of the polydimethylsiloxane cross-linked copolymer to the cyclomethicone is =1: 2-1: 1, the oil-filling rate of the ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber is 30% -50%, and the VA content of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is 18% -22%.
2. The waterproof polyolefin foam material of claim 1, which is in the form of a sheet having a thickness of not more than 10mm, and has closed cells in a unit area in an amount larger than the number of open cells, a closed cell ratio of 95 to 100% and an average cell diameter of 50 to 100 μm.
3. The waterproof polyolefin foam material of claim 2, which has a waterproof performance of IPX7 grade.
4. The waterproof polyolefin foam material of claim 1, wherein the waterproof polyolefin foam material further comprises the following components in parts by weight: 0.1-2 parts of antioxidant, 0.2-5 parts of lubricant, 0.1-3 parts of sensitizer and 2-10 parts of filler.
5. Use of the waterproof polyolefin foam material as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 4 in electronic products.
