It should be understood that the number of terminal devices, networks, and servers in fig. 1 is merely illustrative. There may be any number of terminal devices, networks, and servers, as desired for implementation.
With continued reference to FIG. 2, a flow 200 of one embodiment of an information push method according to the present application is shown. The information pushing method comprises the following steps:
step 201, when receiving a request operation of a user for a page meeting a predetermined condition, detecting the network quality of a current access network of a client.
Generally, a user may initiate a web browsing request to a web server to acquire web page information by directly inputting a web address or clicking a link in a web page presented in a web browser using a web browser installed on a terminal device (e.g., terminal device 101, 102, or 103 shown in fig. 1) on which the information push method operates. The user may also use the information push application (e.g., a news push application) installed on the terminal device to initiate a web browsing request to the push server by clicking a link pushed by the information push application or a link in a web page presented by the information push application to obtain web information. Among them, operations such as the aforementioned inputting of a web address or the clicking of a link are all request operations for a page by a user. The web page may include a web page in html format, xhtml format, asp format, php format, jsp format, shtml format, nsp format, xml format, or other format developed in the future (as long as a web page file in such format can be opened by a terminal application and its contents can be browsed). It will be appreciated that the web page may contain page elements in the form of content units of one or more of pictures, animations, text, audio, video, etc.
In this embodiment, the terminal device on which the information push method operates may detect the network quality of the current access network of the client when receiving a request operation of the user for a page satisfying a predetermined condition. The predetermined conditions herein may include, but are not limited to: page elements containing a predetermined type or number of bytes exceeding a preset byte threshold are included. In practice, the terminal device may determine whether a preset condition is met through the requested page type, for example, a video page element is included in a video type page; the terminal device may further determine, after sending the page request to the server, whether the page includes page elements with a number of bytes exceeding a preset word number threshold according to the received description data of the page elements, which is not limited in the present application.
It can be understood that the terminal device is installed with a client of a terminal application such as a web browser, an information push application, and the like. The client needs to communicate with the corresponding background server through the network link of the terminal device accessing the internet. The communication performance of the network link may be represented by network quality, for example, the network quality may be represented by network speed (when uploading and downloading data, the speed of requesting and returning data, such as Mbit/s of 2 mbytes per second), signal strength of the wireless network (such as represented by power gain, unit is dBm), and the like, and accordingly, the terminal device may divide different network quality states according to the network speed or the network signal strength, for example, may divide different network quality states according to a set network speed threshold or a set network signal strength threshold.
Step 202, in response to the network quality of the current access network being a first preset quality state, detecting a predetermined operation of the user.
In this embodiment, the terminal device (for example, the terminal device shown in fig. 1) may previously define the network quality status detected in step 201 as a plurality of quality statuses, which may be represented by a first quality status, a second quality status, and the like, and the terminal device may further detect whether the user performs a predetermined operation in response to that the network quality of the current access network is the first preset quality status.
It can be understood that, in this embodiment, the page requested by the user includes page elements containing a preset threshold number of bytes, so that, in the case of poor network quality (e.g. slow network speed or weak network signal strength), the time for the client to obtain the page data from the server is long, and even the obtaining fails. At this time, the presetting of the first preset quality state by the terminal device may include: a network quality state where the network speed is below a preset network speed threshold (e.g., 0.5Mbit/s), or a network quality state where the signal strength is less than a preset strength threshold (e.g., -89 dBm).
The user operation may be used to represent an interactive behavior between the user and the terminal device, such as a click operation, an input operation, and the like. The user operation may be a single operation, or may be a series of operations in which a plurality of single operations are combined, such as a multi-click operation, or a click operation is performed after an input operation is performed, and so on. In practice, under the condition of poor network quality, the time for the client to acquire the page data from the server is long, and even the acquisition fails, at this time, the user may click a link in the web page again or refresh the website to re-request the page, and may also perform operations such as closing the page, closing the client, or clicking other pages to abandon the requested page. Generally, when a user wants to know the information of a page, the user selects to re-request the page, and the stronger the idea of knowing the page information, the greater the probability of re-requesting the page, and when the idea of knowing the page information is not so strong, the user is likely to give up requesting the page. Therefore, in this embodiment, the terminal device may use an operation such as the user clicking a link in a web page again or refreshing a web address as a predetermined operation. In some implementations, the terminal device may further set a threshold number of times (e.g., 10 times), and use a click operation or a refresh operation performed by the user and exceeding the threshold number of times as a predetermined operation.
Step 203, responding to the detection of the predetermined operation of the user, and recording the webpage information of the requested page.
In this embodiment, in response to detecting the predetermined operation of the user through step 202, the terminal device on which the information push method operates may further record the web page information of the requested page. The web page information may include information describing web page content or attributes, and may include, but is not limited to, at least one of the following: the web address of the page, the content introduction of the page, the keywords of the page, the information ID of the feed page, the current loading condition of the page (such as loading progress, loaded content, etc.), and so on.
And step 204, pushing information based on the recorded webpage information.
In this embodiment, the terminal device may further push the webpage information itself, information associated with the webpage information, or information similar to the webpage information to the user according to the recorded webpage information.
In some optional implementation manners of this embodiment, the information pushing method may be applied to a client of a terminal application running on the terminal device, and when the client is started again, the terminal device may display the recorded webpage information through the client, so as to push the webpage information to a user. At this point, if the user is still interested in the piece of information, the web page information may be opened again for viewing. When the user opens the web page information again, the terminal device may determine that the user request operation for the page is received. The terminal device may resend the page request of the page to the background server in response to the request operation, so as to perform information push of the page. It can be understood that, when the terminal device displays the recorded webpage information through the client, only the recorded webpage information may be displayed, or the recorded webpage information and other information to be pushed may be displayed together for information pushing. In some implementations, the terminal device further records a page loading condition to display loaded page data, so as to perform information pushing.
In some optional implementation manners of this embodiment, when the client is started again, the terminal device may further resend the page request of the page to the background server according to the recorded web page information, and perform information pushing. In some implementations, the terminal device further records a page loading condition, and displays loaded page data while sending a page request to the background server.
In some optional implementations of this embodiment, the terminal device may push the recorded web page information to the user when the network quality is good. At this time, the terminal device may pre-define a second preset quality state indicating that the network quality is better, for example, the second preset quality state includes: a network quality state where the wire speed is above a preset wire speed threshold (e.g., 4Mbit/s), or a network quality state where the signal strength is greater than a preset strength threshold (e.g., -70 dBm). When the second preset quality state is defined, a preset network speed threshold or a preset intensity threshold which is consistent with the first preset quality state can be defined, and the preset network speed threshold or the preset intensity threshold which is higher than the first preset quality state can also be defined. Therefore, the terminal device can respond to the situation that the network quality is in the second preset quality state, resend the page request of the page to the background server according to the recorded webpage information, and push the information.
In some optional implementation manners of this embodiment, the terminal device may further upload the recorded web page information to a background server, so that the background server sends the page content of the page to the client and pushes information when at least one of the following conditions is met: receiving the connection request of the client again; and detecting that the network quality of the client is in a second preset quality state.
In some optional implementations of this embodiment, when there are multiple pieces of pushed information, the recorded web page information may also have a pushing probability. The push probability may be used to determine whether to push the recorded web page information and/or to determine the ranking position of the web page information in the pushed information. For example, if the push probability is greater than a certain probability threshold, the web page information is pushed, otherwise, the web page information is not pushed. For another example, every time information is pushed, the recorded web page information with the preset number of pushing probabilities from high to low is pushed at most, and the rest is new pushing information. Wherein, the push probability can be determined by the following method: acquiring the pushing times of the recorded webpage information; detecting the preset operation of a user in response to the network quality being in a first preset quality state during each pushing, and recording a repetition number in response to the detection of the preset operation; the push probability is determined based on the number of pushes and the number of repetitions. It is understood that the greater the number of repetitions of the above predetermined operation by the user, the greater the push probability.
In some optional implementation manners of this embodiment, the terminal device may further send the recorded web page information to the server, so that the server: extracting webpage keywords from the recorded webpage information, and acquiring information to be pushed matched with the webpage keywords; and then the terminal equipment can acquire the information to be pushed matched with the webpage keywords from the server for information pushing.
With continuing reference to fig. 3, fig. 3 is a schematic diagram of an application scenario of the information push method according to the present embodiment. In the application scenario of fig. 3, the information push method of the present embodiment is applied to, for example, the terminal device 300 shown in fig. 3. The terminal device 300 has installed thereon a terminal application such as a browser, "× news", etc. First, the user launches a "xx news" application through the terminal device 300, which exposes a plurality of news links, assuming that the user clicks on the link 301 to view a page linked by the link 301. At this time, the terminal device 300 receives a user's request operation for the page linked by the link 301, i.e., a click operation for the link 301. By sending a page request to the server and receiving data returned by the server, the terminal device 300 obtains page element description data of a page 302 linked by a link 301, and accordingly determines that the page 302 contains a page element-picture with a number of bytes exceeding a preset byte threshold, and if the page is a page meeting a preset condition, the terminal device 300 loads the page 302 and simultaneously detects the network quality of the current access network of the "xxx news" client. The network quality may be described, for example, by the signal strength of the wireless network 303 to which the terminal device 300 is linked. If the signal strength of the wireless network 303 is less than the predetermined strength threshold, the terminal device 300 may determine that the network quality of the "xx news" client currently accessing the network is in the first preset quality state, and the terminal device 300 may further detect whether the user performs a predetermined operation, for example, the predetermined operation includes a refresh operation of clicking the refresh button 304 more than a predetermined number of times. In response to detecting the refresh operation described above, the terminal device 300 may record the web page information of the page 302. In this application scenario, the terminal device 300 may push the page 302 in the form of the link 305 when the "xx news" client is started again, so as to resend the page request of the page 302 to the background server in response to receiving the user's request operation for the page again. In other application scenarios, the terminal device 300 may also directly resend the page request of the page 302 to the background server according to the recorded web page information of the page 302 when the "xx news" client is started again, so as to perform information push; the terminal device 300 may further respond to the signal strength of the wireless network 303 and a preset strength threshold, determine that the network quality of the "xx news" client accessing the network is in a second preset quality state, resend the page request of the page 302 to the background server according to the recorded webpage information, and perform information push; the terminal device 300 may also upload the recorded web page information to the background server, so that the background server sends the page content of the page 302 to the "xx news" client running on the terminal device 300 when at least one of the following conditions is met, and performs information push: receiving the connection request of the client again; and detecting that the network quality is in a second preset quality state.
According to the information pushing method, the network quality of the client accessing the network is combined with the user operation to judge the information required by the user, so that the terminal network environment data can be effectively utilized, and the accuracy of information pushing is improved.
With continued reference to FIG. 4, a flow 400 of another embodiment of an information push method according to the present application is shown. The information pushing method comprises the following steps:
step 401, obtaining the recorded web page information from the client.
In this embodiment, a server (for example, the server 105 shown in fig. 1) on which the information push method operates may first acquire, from a client, web page information recorded by the client. The webpage information is recorded by the client through the following steps: when receiving a request operation of a user for a page meeting a preset condition, detecting the network quality of a current access network of a client, and detecting the preset operation of the user in response to the fact that the network quality of the current access network is in a first preset quality state; and recording the webpage information of the requested page in response to detecting the predetermined operation of the user. Here, the predetermined condition may include, but is not limited to: containing page elements that exceed a preset threshold number of bytes.
Generally, a user may directly input a web address through a client running on a terminal device or click a link in a web page presented in a web browser to initiate a web browsing request to a web server to obtain web page information. The operation such as the aforementioned inputting of the web address or the clicking of the link is a request operation for the page by the user. The web page may contain page elements in units of content, such as one or more of pictures, animations, text, audio, video, etc. In practice, the client may determine whether the requested page type satisfies a preset condition, or determine whether the page includes page elements that exceed a preset word count threshold number of bytes according to the received description data of the page elements, which is not limited in the present application.
The client can also divide different network quality states according to a set network speed threshold or a strength threshold of the network signal. These quality states may be represented by a first quality state, a second quality state, etc. In this embodiment, the first preset quality state may include: a network quality state where the network speed is below a preset network speed threshold (e.g., 0.5Mbit/s), or a network quality state where the signal strength is less than a preset strength threshold (e.g., -89 dBm). In the first preset quality state, the network quality is poor, the time for the client to acquire the page data from the server is long, and even the acquisition fails, at this time, the predetermined operation may include an operation such as the user clicking a link in the web page again or refreshing the web address. In some implementations, the client may also set a threshold number of times (e.g., 10 times), and use a click operation or a refresh operation performed by the user exceeding the threshold number of times as a predetermined operation. When the predetermined operation is detected, the client can record the webpage information of the requested page and send the webpage information to the server.
Step 402, determining to-be-pushed information to be sent to the client for information pushing based on the acquired webpage information.
In this embodiment, the server may determine, according to the acquired web page information, the web page information itself or other information associated with the web page information as information to be pushed, and send the information to the client for information pushing. In some implementations, the server sends the information to be pushed to the client for information pushing when at least one of the following conditions is met: receiving the connection request of the client again; and detecting that the network quality of the client is in a second preset quality state. Here, the second preset quality state may be a quality state which may be defined in advance by the terminal device and represents that the network quality is better, for example, the second preset quality state includes: a network quality state where the wire speed is above a preset wire speed threshold (e.g., 4Mbit/s), or a network quality state where the signal strength is greater than a preset strength threshold (e.g., -70 dBm).
In some optional implementation manners of this embodiment, the server terminal device may further extract a webpage keyword from the recorded webpage information, and then acquire information to be pushed, which is matched with the webpage keyword, and send the information to the client to push the information. For example, when the client is started again and the network quality is the second quality threshold, the information to be pushed is sent to the client for information pushing. The information to be pushed, which is matched with the webpage keyword, may be information to be pushed that has the same keyword as the webpage keyword, may also be information to be pushed that has the same theme as the webpage keyword, may also be information to be pushed that has an association relationship with the webpage keyword (for example, all are related to a certain news event, the release time is the same, and the like), and the like, which is not limited in the present application.
With continued reference to fig. 5, fig. 5 is a schematic diagram of an application scenario of the information push method according to the present embodiment. In the application scenario of fig. 5, the information push method of the present embodiment is applied to, for example, a backend server 510 that provides support for a browser, a terminal application such as "× news", or the like installed on the terminal device 500 shown in fig. 5. First, the user starts the "xx video" application through the terminal device 500 and opens a video having a theme of "the best-beauty city era of china", and the terminal device 500 can judge that the requested page is a page satisfying a predetermined condition by the user requesting a page including a page element, the video 501, of which the number of bytes exceeds a preset word number threshold. The terminal device 500 may then detect the network quality of the "x video" client currently accessing the network, which may be described, for example, by the signal strength of the wireless network 502 to which the terminal device 500 is connected. If the signal strength of the wireless network 502 is less than the predetermined strength threshold, the network quality is a first preset quality state. As shown in fig. 5, the video 501 fails to be loaded, and the terminal device 500 may further detect whether the user performs a predetermined operation. In this application scenario, assuming that the predetermined operation is a click operation of the "reload" button by the user more than a predetermined number of times (e.g., 5), in response to detecting the click operation, the terminal device 500 may record web page information of a page containing the video 501, for example, record a theme of the video 501, and send the web page information to the backend server 510. The background server 510 receives the web page information, and accordingly determines that the information to be pushed is sent to the terminal device 500 for information pushing. For example, the backend server 510 may extract a webpage keyword, such as "china", "city", "beauty", and the like, from the webpage information, and then the backend server 510 matches the extracted webpage keyword with a video page to be pushed, and selects the video 504, the video 505, and the like according to the relevance between the content of the video page and the extracted webpage keyword to be sent to the "xx video" client running on the terminal device 500 for information pushing.
