Disclosure of Invention
Problems to be solved by the invention
However, according to the conventional assembling structure of the bail joint, the bail screw, and the washer, the washer is not detached and the assembling man-hours can be reduced because the bail joint, the bail screw, and the washer are integrated, but there is a concern that the washer may be damaged when the assembly of the bail joint, the bail screw, and the washer is transported. Such damage is particularly noticeable when a large number of products are shipped loose in a box rather than being individually packaged. If a damaged gasket is used, it becomes a cause of oil leakage, and therefore there is a need to protect the surface of the gasket.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a brake hose connector assembly capable of integrating an eye joint, an eye screw, and a gasket, and suppressing damage to the gasket even when transported in an integrated state.

Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the cap as the assembled state holding member of the present embodiment. 3 fig. 3 4A 3 is 3a 3 plan 3 view 3 of 3 the 3 cap 3 of 3 the 3 present 3 embodiment 3, 3 and 3 fig. 34 3B 3 is 3a 3 sectional 3 view 3 taken 3 along 3 line 3a 3- 3a 3 of 3 fig. 3 4A 3. 3
The brake hose joint assembly 1 includes: an eye joint 2 having a hose connecting portion 21 at one end to which the brake hose 100 is connected and a circular ring portion 23 at the other end; an eye screw 3 inserted through an opening 23a of an annular portion 23 of the eye joint 2 and having a flow path therein communicating with the brake hose 100 via the hose connecting portion 21; an annular (in the present embodiment, annular) head-side gasket 4 and an annular (in the present embodiment, annular) screw-side gasket 5 as a gasket for preventing fluid leakage, which are arranged so as to sandwich the annular portion 23 of the suspension ring joint 2; and a cap 6 as an assembled state retaining member that is fitted to the threaded portion 34 of the eye screw 3 and retains the assembled state of the eye joint 2, the eye screw 3, and the washers 4, 5 to each other.
As shown in fig. 2, the bail joint 2 includes a hose connecting portion 21, an annular portion 23, and a connecting portion 22 connecting the hose connecting portion 21 and the annular portion 23, and is formed of a metal such as carbon steel. Further, the communication hole 2a of the bail joint 2 communicating with the opening 23a of the annular portion 23 is formed in the axial direction inside the hose connecting portion 21, the connecting portion 22, and the connecting portion 22. The hose connection portion 21 is provided with an insertion portion 21a into which the end portion of the brake hose 100 is inserted.
the threaded portion side washer 5 is disposed in confronting relation to the threaded portion 34 side of the eye screw 3 of the annular portion 23 of the eye joint 2. The screw portion side washer 5 is made of a material softer than the suspension joint 2.
the eye screw 3 includes a head portion 31 having a hexagonal prism shape and a shaft portion 32 provided coaxially with the head portion 31, and is formed of a metal such as carbon steel. The shaft portion 32 has a straight portion 33 and a threaded portion 34 in this order from the head portion 31 side of the eye screw 3.
As shown in fig. 2, a shaft hole 3a is formed in the shaft portion 32 from the distal end surface of the shaft portion 32 to a halfway point of the shaft portion 32 in the axial direction. The shaft portion 32 is formed with a through hole 3b communicating with the shaft hole 3a and penetrating in the radial direction from the center of the shaft portion 32 to the outer peripheral surface of the straight portion 33. Here, the shaft hole 3a and the through hole 3b are examples of a flow path communicating with the brake hose 100 via the hose connection portion 21.
As shown in fig. 2, a groove 33a is formed in the center of the straight portion 33 in the longitudinal direction. A male screw is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the screw portion 34. The threaded portion 34 is formed to have a sufficient length for the threaded portion side washer 5 to be tightly coupled to the engagement surface 112 when the suspension screw 3 is fastened to the internal threaded portion 111 of the brake caliper 110 to be attached.
The cap 6 includes: an annular portion 61 having a slit 61a at a part thereof and for contacting a surface 5a of the screw-portion-side washer 5 on the opposite side of the annular portion 23 of the eye joint 2 to protect the surface 5 a; a grip 62 for pulling the cap 6 from the threaded portion 34 after fastening the leading end side of the threaded portion 34 of the eyescrew 3 to the internal threaded portion 111 of the caliper 110; and a protective portion 63 that extends from the annular portion 61 in the axial direction of the eye screw 3 and covers the periphery of the threaded portion 34 of the eye screw 3 to protect the threaded portion 34. The protective portion 63 includes a plurality of (eight in the present embodiment) protective plates 631 arranged with gaps therebetween in the circumferential direction of the threaded portion 34 of the eye screw 3.
The annular portion 61 of the cap 6 has a plurality of (three in the present embodiment) convex portions 61b on the inner peripheral surface, which are fitted in a state of being pressed against the threaded portion 34 of the eye screw 3. The diameter formed by the distal end of the convex portion 61b provided on the inner peripheral surface of the annular portion 61 is set to be slightly smaller than the diameter of the screw portion 34. Thus, the annular portion 61 is fitted in a state of being pressed against the threaded portion 34, and even when the suspension joint 2, the suspension screw 3, and the washers 4 and 5 are transported in a state in which they are combined by the cap 6, it is possible to suppress the cap 6 from moving in the axial direction of the suspension screw 3 due to vibration or the like at the time of transportation, and it is possible to suppress the surface 5a of the threaded portion side washer 5 from being damaged.
The grip 62 includes an extension 62a extending from the ring 61 toward the outer periphery thereof, and a plate-shaped grip 62b provided at an end of the extension 62 a.
The plurality of protective sheets 631 extend in a direction intersecting the annular portion 61 (substantially axial direction of the shaft portion 32), and are formed integrally with the annular portion 61. Each protective sheet 631 has a length such that a tip side of the threaded portion 34 of the eye screw 3 is partially exposed in the assembled state of the eye joint 2, the eye screw 3, and the washers 4 and 5. Each protective sheet 631 has an inclined surface 631a as a contact surface that slightly expands while bringing the inner surface into contact with the threaded portion 34 when the cap 6 is attached to the threaded portion 34 of the eye screw 3. Specifically, the protective sheets 631 are expanded by moving outward by about 0.5mm, for example. The protective sheets 631 are disposed along the circumferential direction of the shaft 32 so as to be separated from each other by gaps, and cover the periphery of the screw portion 34. The protective portion 63 may be formed by integrating a plurality of protective sheets 631 into one protective sheet.
The cap 6 is made of an insulator, and more specifically, is integrally formed of a synthetic resin such as nylon or polyethylene by injection molding or the like. The cap 6 is softer than the eye joint 2, the eye screw 3 and the washers 4, 5. Further, the cap 6 may be formed of rubber. In this case, the cap 6 can be tightly coupled to the threaded portion 34 of the eye screw 3 by the elastic force of the rubber.
(assembling method)
Next, a method of assembling the suspension joint 2, the suspension screw 3, the head-side washer 4, the screw-side washer 5, and the cap 6 will be described with reference to fig. 5. Fig. 5 is an exploded perspective view showing the brake hose joint assembly 1.
As shown in fig. 1, 2, and 5, the head-side washer 4, the annular portion 23 of the eye joint 2, the screw-side washer 5, and the annular portion 61 of the cap 6 are inserted into the shaft portion 32 of the eye screw 3 in this order from the head portion 31 side of the eye screw 3, and are tightly coupled to each other. Thereby, the brake hose joint assembly 1 is assembled. At this time, the protective sheets 631 of the cap 6 are in a state in which the inclined surfaces 631a contact the screw portion 34 and slightly expand.
(mounting method)
Next, a method of attaching the brake hose joint assembly 1 to the brake caliper 110 will be described with reference to fig. 6A to 6D. In addition, a method of connecting the brake hose 100 to the brake hose joint assembly 1 will be described.
the brake hose joint assembly 1 is connected to a brake caliper 110 by fastening the threaded portion 34 of the eye screw 3 to an internal threaded portion 111 of the brake caliper 110 mounted on an automobile (not shown).
As shown in fig. 6A, when the portion of the threaded portion 34 of the eye screw 3 exposed from the cap 6 is fastened to the female threaded portion 111 of the brake caliper 110, the front ends of the plurality of protective sheets 631 of the cap 6 contact the engagement surface 112 of the brake caliper 110. When the eye screw 3 is further tightened, the plurality of protective sheets 631 further expand as shown in fig. 6B. After the eye screw 3 is fastened to some extent, as shown in fig. 6C, the grip portion 62b of the grip portion 62 of the cap 6 is gripped, and the cap 6 is pulled out in the longitudinal direction of the grip portion 62.
finally, as shown in fig. 6D, the eye screw 3 is fastened until the threaded portion side washer 5 is tightly engaged with the lower surface of the annular portion 23 of the eye joint 2 and the engagement surface 112 of the brake caliper 110. At this time, the head-side gasket 4 is tightly bonded to the upper surface of the annular portion 23 of the eye joint 2. Thereby, a space formed between the groove portion 33a and the inner peripheral surface of the annular portion 23 is sealed.
After the end of the brake hose 100 is inserted into the insertion portion 21a of the hose connection portion 21, the hose connection portion 21 is caulked to fix the end of the brake hose 100. The brake hose 100 may be connected to the hose connection portion 21 after the brake hose joint assembly 1 is attached to the brake caliper 110, or the brake hose joint assembly 1 may be attached to the brake caliper 110 after the brake hose joint assembly 1 is connected to the hose connection portion 21.
(flow path of fluid)
Next, a flow path of the fluid flowing between the brake hose 100 and the brake caliper 110 via the brake hose joint assembly 1 will be described.
As shown in fig. 2, a space is formed between the annular portion 23 of the eye joint 2 and the groove portion 33a of the eye screw 3. The space formed between the groove portion 33a and the inner peripheral surface of the annular portion 23 communicates with the communication hole 2a provided in the suspension joint 2 and the through hole 3b of the suspension screw 3.
thus, a flow path of fluid to the brake hose 100 and the brake caliper 110 through the eye joint 2 and the eye screw 3 of the brake hose joint assembly 1 is formed.
(action and Effect of the embodiment)
According to the present embodiment, the following operations and effects are exhibited.
(1) By fitting the cap 6 to the threaded portion 34 of the eye screw 3, the eye joint 2, the eye screw 3, and the washers 4 and 5 can be integrated, and the fitting operation of the brake hose 100 is facilitated.
(2) Since the annular portion 61 of the cap 6 contacts the surface 5a of the screw-side washer 5 on the opposite side of the annular portion 23 of the eye joint 2 to protect the surface 5a, damage to the washer 5 can be suppressed even when the eye joint 2, the eye screw 3, and the washer 5 are shipped in an integrated state. Therefore, a plurality of brake hose joint assemblies 1 can be shipped in bulk in one box without being individually packaged.
(3) Since the substantially entire threaded portion 34 of the eye screw 3 is covered by the protective portion 63 of the cap 6, the threaded portion 34 of the eye screw 3 and the like can be protected from damage during transportation. Further, since the protective portion 63 is formed of the plurality of protective sheets 631 which are arranged along the circumferential direction of the shaft portion 32 so as to be separated from each other by a gap, the plurality of protective sheets 631 easily expand when the eye screw 3 is fastened, and the fastening work of the eye screw 3 can be simplified.
(4) When the cap 6 is fitted to the threaded portion 34 of the eye screw 3, the protection sheet 631 slightly expands due to the inclined surface 631a formed on the inner surface of the plurality of protection sheets 631 of the protection portion 63 of the cap 6, and therefore, when the eye screw 3 is further fastened, the interval between the plurality of protection sheets 631 further increases. The cap 6 does not hinder the fastening work.
(5) After the temporary fastening of the eye screw 3, the cap 6 can be easily detached from the threaded portion 34 of the eye screw 3 by the grip portion 62. This improves workability.
(6) Since the threaded portion 34 of the eyebolt 3 is pressed by the convex portion 61b formed on the inner peripheral surface of the annular portion 61 of the cap 6, the cap 6 is less likely to fall off during transportation or the like. Further, as in patent document 1, since it is not necessary to insert the washer through the eye screw while screwing the thread of the washer and the thread of the eye screw, the eye joint 2, the eye screw 3, and the washers 4 and 5 can be easily integrated.
