In some embodiments, the electronic device 10 may further include a radiator for transceiving signals. The radiator may be mounted to the housing 15, such as the bezel 151. The radiator may form a fixed connection structure with the middle frame 151, and is defined as an antenna assembly. The following description will be made in detail by taking an antenna assembly as an example.
Referring to fig. 6, fig. 6 is a schematic structural diagram of an antenna assembly according to an embodiment of the present application. In this embodiment, the antenna assembly 100 may include a radiator 50, a feed 51, a first control switch 521, and a second control switch 522.
The radiator 50 may be a metal frame, and a gap is formed in the metal frame and filled with plastic. The radiator 50 is configured to receive and transmit radio frequency signals, the radiator 50 is provided with a feeding point 531, a first tuning point 532, and a second tuning point 533, the feeding point 531 is electrically connected to the feed source 51 to implement feeding, and the feeding point 531 may further be connected to a matching element. The first tuning point 532 may be connected in parallel with a plurality of tuning elements, which are controlled by the first control switch 521 to be turned on, and the other end of the first control switch 521 is grounded. Similarly, the second tuning point 533 may be connected to a plurality of tuning elements in parallel, and the plurality of tuning elements may be turned on under the control of the second control switch 522, and the other end of the second control switch 522 may be grounded.
The matching element connected to the feeding point and the plurality of tuning elements connected to the tuning point may be adjustable capacitors or inductors, and in other embodiments, may be directly grounded. In the design scheme of the terminal antenna, because the clearance of the mobile phone antenna is narrow, the complete coverage of frequency bands such as GSM, LTE, WCDMA and the like can not be realized at the same time. Therefore, it is usually necessary to use antenna switches to perform different matching and tuning combinations, so as to achieve coverage of all communication bands by switching each band in real time.
In the above embodiment, one antenna has only one feeding point 531, and its position is fixed. There are two ways to switch the antenna frequency band: firstly, different elements are connected with the first tuning point 532 and the second tuning point 533 to change the resonant current on the antenna, so that the antenna is switched to a required frequency band; secondly, the matching element on the antenna feed point 531 is changed to force the antenna working frequency band to be switched to the required frequency band. In the first method, the newly added tuning element causes extra loss, thereby reducing the efficiency of the antenna; the second method is to implement impedance matching between the antenna and the feed port, and not to convert the resonant frequency point of the antenna to the required frequency point, so that the antenna does not work in the optimal state, and the use of the matching element also causes extra loss.
Theoretically, the location of the antenna feed point is essentially linked to the resonant length of the antenna. Therefore, the resonant length of the antenna can be adjusted by changing the position of the antenna feeding point by using the switch, so as to achieve the purpose of switching the frequency band of the mobile phone antenna, referring to fig. 7, fig. 7 is another schematic structural diagram of the antenna assembly provided in this embodiment, the antenna assembly 100 may include: a radiator 50, a first control switch 521 and a feed source 51;
the radiator 50 is used for receiving and transmitting radio frequency signals, a first feeding point 531 and a second feeding point 532 are arranged on the radiator 50, the first feeding point 531 and the second feeding point 532 are respectively connected in parallel with a connecting line, and the connecting line is grounded;
the first end of the first control switch 521 is electrically connected to the feed source 51, the second end of the first control switch 521 is electrically connected to the first feeding point 531, the third end of the first control switch 521 is electrically connected to the second feeding point 532, and the first control switch 521 is used for controlling the feed source 51 to be connected to the first feeding point 531 or the second feeding point 532 to realize feeding.
In one embodiment, the antenna assembly 100 may further include a second control switch 522, the radiator 50 is provided with a tuning point 533, a first end of the second control switch 522 is electrically connected to the tuning point 533, and a second end of the second control switch 522 is grounded.
The tuning point 533 may be connected in parallel with a plurality of tuning elements 542, the first feeding point 531 may be connected in series with a matching element 541, the second feeding point 532 may be connected in parallel with a plurality of matching elements 541, and the matching elements 541 and the tuning elements 542 may be tunable inductors or tunable capacitors.
The principle of the embodiment is as follows: when the first control switch 521 controls the feed source 51 to be connected with the first feeding point 531 to realize feeding, the first feeding point 531 divides the radiator 50 into a first part and a second part, the second feeding point 532 is located at the second part, the second feeding point 532 is grounded at this time, and the length of the first part is used as the resonant length of the antenna. When the first control switch 521 controls the feed source 51 to be connected with the second feeding point 532 to realize feeding, the second feeding point 532 divides the radiator into a third part and a fourth part, the first feeding point 531 is located in the third part, the first feeding point 531 is grounded at this time, and the length of the fourth part is used as the resonant length of the antenna.
In this embodiment, the first control switch 521 is connected to different components to change the resonance point of the antenna, so as to switch the frequency band of the mobile phone antenna. The antenna switch is used in series between the feed point a/B and the feed, and the switching of the feed point between the first feed point 531 and the second feed point 532 is achieved by switching through different RF ports. Because the first feeding point 531 and the second feeding point 532 are located at different positions, the antenna resonant lengths when the first feeding point 531 and the second feeding point 532 are used as feeding points are different, so that the purpose of switching the antenna frequency bands can be achieved when the feeding points are converted between the first feeding point 531 and the second feeding point 532 in real time.
In an embodiment, as shown in fig. 8, the antenna assembly 100 may further include a third control switch 523, configured to control the second feeding point 532 to be grounded, when the first control switch 521 controls the feed 51 to be connected to the first feeding point 531 to implement feeding, the first feeding point 531 divides the radiator 50 into a first part and a second part, and the second feeding point 532 is located in the second part, where if the third control switch 523 is turned off, the second control switch 522 is connected to a tuning element and is grounded, and the length of the second part is used as the resonant length of the antenna.
