一种治疗慢性阑尾炎的中药及其制备方法，采用下述中药配比制作方案：蒲公英10—20份、红藤10—20份、三颗针10—20份、赤芍10—20份、木香5—15份、莱菔子10—20份、红藤各10—15份、青木香10—15份。
治疗时，称取配方中的原料药，加适量水，文火煎煮约40分针后，滤去药渣，制成汤剂，口服，每口一剂，连服5剂，5剂为一疗程，连服3—4个疗程。
本发明的积极效果在于制剂为纯中草药制成，对于阑尾炎的疗效较高，标本兼治，疗效显著，无不良反应、毒副作用小，临床症状消失迅速，治愈后无反弹现象。
