Orthogonal laminated wood (CLT) is a prefabricated solid engineering wood product formed by vertically and orthogonally laminating at least 3 layers of solid sawn wood or structural composite materials (SCL), can be used for manufacturing wood structure roofs, floors and walls, and is a suitable substitute for materials such as concrete, masonry, steel and the like. The CLT wood structure system is a novel wood structure system which takes CLT floor slabs, wall plates and roof slabs as main bearing components, has the advantages of high prefabrication rate, high construction speed, convenience in construction, good earthquake resistance, energy conservation, environmental protection and the like, is suitable for middle-high-rise wood structure buildings, and has potential economic competitiveness.
The CLT has the characteristic of isotropy relative to the grain laminated wood, has good mechanical property and dimensional stability, and can not meet the requirement of large-span engineering or the construction requirement of medium-high-rise buildings due to the fact that the number of the same layers of grain layers is reduced along the direction of the CLT grain.
