All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
The wireless communication control method provided by the embodiment of the invention can be applied to first electronic equipment, and the first electronic equipment can be mobile terminals (such as smart phones) or electronic equipment such as ipads.
The first electronic device may open a wireless communication hotspot in case of connecting to a cellular mobile communication network, and the other electronic devices, in order to distinguish from the first electronic device, the embodiments of the present invention refer to the other electronic devices as one or more second electronic devices, and the one or more second electronic devices may establish a connection with the wireless communication hotspot, so that the one or more second electronic devices use traffic of the first electronic device.
The second electronic device may be an electronic device such as a computer or a notebook computer or a mobile terminal (e.g., a smart phone) or an ipad.
Fig. 1 is a block diagram of a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention. The wireless communication system includes: a first electronic device 11, one or more second electronic devices 12.
Fig. 1 shows a plurality of second electronic devices 12. The first electronic device 11 may provide a wireless communication hotspot for one or more second electronic devices 12, such that the one or more second electronic devices may utilize the wireless communication hotspot to implement wireless interconnection, for example, to view social software, or news, or images, etc.
For the one or more second electronic devices, since they are connected to the wireless communication hotspot, the one or more second electronic devices themselves consider that they use the wifi network.
At present, after the second electronic device is connected to the wifi network, the second electronic device can watch videos, download files with large data volume, and the like; after the second electronic device is connected to the cellular mobile communication network, since the available traffic of the second electronic device is limited, in order to save traffic, a corresponding network management policy may be activated, for example, to prohibit or limit the user from watching video and/or downloading files with large data size.
After the second electronic device is connected with the wireless communication hotspot, the second electronic device considers that the second electronic device is connected with the wifi network, so that a corresponding network management strategy cannot be started, namely the second electronic device can still watch videos and download files with large data volume; resulting in a larger amount of traffic of the first electronic device being consumed by the second electronic device. Therefore, in order to avoid excessive traffic in the first electronic device used by one or more second electronic devices, embodiments of the present invention provide a wireless communication control method.
With reference to the above system, the following describes a wireless communication control method, and as shown in fig. 2, is a flowchart of a wireless communication control method according to an embodiment of the present invention, where the method includes:
step S201: and receiving a request of a user for opening the communication hotspot.
Assuming that the first electronic device is a smartphone, the user can turn on a mode of "setting" → "personal hotspot" → "turning on the personal hotspot" in the smartphone, and turn on the wireless communication hotspot. After the user clicks "open personal hotspot", the first electronic device may receive a request to open a communication hotspot.
Step S202: and opening the wireless communication hotspot under the condition of connecting the cellular mobile communication network.
The first electronic device can start the wireless communication hotspot under the condition of connecting with the wifi network, and in this case, the flow used by the first electronic device is not limited, so that the connection with the wireless communication hotspot is not required to be limited.
The first electronic device may open the wireless communication hotspot in case of connection to the cellular mobile communication network, in which case traffic of the first electronic device is limited, and thus, the connection to the wireless communication hotspot needs to be limited.
Step S203: the first network management policy is switched to a second network management policy.
The first network management strategy is a network management strategy which does not start a wireless communication hotspot; the second network management strategy is a network management strategy for opening a wireless communication hotspot, and the first network management strategy is different from the second network management strategy.
In an optional embodiment, the first electronic device has a preset identification parameter for characterizing a network type of a currently connected wireless communication network; if the first electronic equipment is connected with the cellular mobile communication network, the preset identification parameter is an identification parameter corresponding to the cellular mobile communication network; if the first electronic device is connected with the WiFi network, the preset identification parameter is an identification parameter corresponding to the WiFi network. Therefore, the first electronic device may determine the network type of the wireless communication network to which the first electronic device is connected by detecting the preset identification parameter.
And if the first electronic equipment detects that the preset identification parameter is the identification parameter corresponding to the cellular mobile communication network and the wireless communication hotspot is opened, switching the first network management strategy to a second network management strategy.
The first network management policy and the second network management policy are explained below.
The first network management policy is a network management policy for using the cellular mobile communication network for the first electronic device itself in case the first electronic device does not open the wireless communication hotspot, and includes but is not limited to the following policies:
the first electronic device is prohibited from downloading the system update file, and/or the first electronic device is prohibited from playing the video and the like.
In an alternative embodiment, the second network management policy may be a policy for managing at least the wireless communication hotspot if the wireless communication hotspot has not connected one or more second electronic devices.
Policies for managing wireless communication hotspots include, but are not limited to, the following:
limiting the total amount of data of the wireless communication hotspot using the cellular mobile communication network to be not more than a first preset value; and/or limiting the communication rate of the wireless communication hotspot using the cellular mobile communication network to be not more than a third preset value.
The first preset value and the third preset value may be determined based on actual situations, and are not limited herein.
In an optional embodiment, the second network management policy may comprise the first network management side policy.
In an optional embodiment, the second network management policy may further manage the first electronic device, for example, limit a total amount of data used by the first electronic device for the cellular mobile communication network to be not greater than a second preset value; and/or limiting the communication rate of the first electronic equipment using the cellular mobile communication network to be not more than a fourth preset value.
The second preset value and the fourth preset value may be determined based on actual situations, and are not limited herein.
In the wireless communication control method provided by the embodiment of the invention, the first electronic device can start a wireless communication hotspot under the condition of connecting with a cellular mobile communication network, and can switch the first network management strategy into the second network management strategy after the wireless communication hotspot is started, wherein the first network strategy is a network management strategy which does not start the wireless communication hotspot; the second network management policy is a network management policy for starting the wireless communication hotspot, that is, the second network management policy is at least used for managing the wireless communication hotspot. Thereby limiting the use of the cellular mobile communication network by the wireless communication hotspot. Thereby reducing consumption of the cellular mobile communications network in the first electronic device by one or more second electronic devices connected to the wireless communication hotspot.
In the above embodiment, after the first electronic device opens the wireless communication hotspot, the first electronic device may switch from the first network management policy to the second network management policy no matter whether the wireless communication hotspot establishes a connection with one or more second electronic devices.
The first electronic device opens the wireless communication hotspot in order for one or more second electronic devices to connect. Therefore, as shown in fig. 3, a signaling diagram of another implementation manner of a wireless communication control method provided in an embodiment of the present invention includes:
step S301: the first electronic device 11 receives a request from a user to open a communication hotspot.
Step S302: the first electronic device 11 opens the wireless communication hotspot in case of a connection to the cellular mobile communication network.
Step S303: the first electronic device 11 switches the first network management policy to the second network management policy.
Step S304: the second electronic device 12 sends a request to the first electronic device 11 to connect to the wireless communication hotspot.
Taking the second electronic device 12 as an example of a smart phone, the smart phone may search for a nearby wireless communication hotspot, and after the wireless communication hotspot started by the first electronic device is searched, a corresponding password is input, and after "connect" is clicked, the second electronic device may generate a request for connecting the wireless communication hotspot. The request may carry a password entered by the user.
Step S305: the first electronic device 11 receives the request to connect to the wireless communication hotspot and agrees that the second electronic device connects to the wireless communication hotspot.
For example, the first electronic device 11 obtains a password input by the user from the request for connecting to the wireless communication hotspot, and if the password input by the user is the same as a preset password stored in the first electronic device 11, the second electronic device agrees to connect to the wireless communication hotspot.
Step S306: the first electronic device 11 switches the second network management policy to the third network management policy.
The third network management strategy is a network management strategy for connecting the wireless communication hotspot, and the second network management strategy is different from the third network management strategy.
The third network management strategy is to limit the use of the wireless communication hotspot by the second electronic device after the wireless communication hotspot opened by the first electronic device has established connection with one or more second electronic devices.
The third network management policy includes, but is not limited to, the following policies:
limiting the total amount of data of the second electronic device using the wireless communication hotspot to be not more than a fifth preset value; and/or limiting the communication rate of the second electronic equipment using the wireless communication hotspot to be not greater than a sixth preset value.
The fifth preset value and the sixth preset value may be determined based on actual situations, and are not limited herein.
