Background
The oil pan is also called as an oil pan and is positioned at the lower part of the engine, and the oil pan is used for sealing the crankcase to be used as a shell of an oil storage tank, preventing impurities from entering, collecting and storing lubricating oil flowing back from each friction surface of the engine, dissipating partial heat and preventing the lubricating oil from being oxidized; at present, an oil pan assembly is generally formed by the oil pan and an oil baffle plate, and the oil baffle plate is connected in an oil storage cavity of the oil pan and used for isolating the oil storage cavity from a crank chamber; however, this isolation cannot be effectively achieved by means of the oil baffle alone; because the oil baffle plate is provided with a plurality of through holes for realizing oil return or yielding, engine oil or gas can easily pass through the through holes to circulate between the oil storage cavity and the crank chamber. The poor isolation effect of the oil storage cavity and the crank chamber can cause the following problems: firstly, the returned engine oil of the engine is mixed with the waste gas of the crank chamber, so that the load of the crank chamber waste gas circulating system is increased; secondly, engine oil in the oil storage cavity is splashed and adhered to the crankshaft to cause power loss, and the phenomenon of foaming is easily caused after the engine oil on the crankshaft is thrown off; third, the crankcase exhaust contacts the engine oil in the oil storage chamber, causing contamination to the engine oil.
Therefore, there is a need for a wind shield for an automotive engine, which is mounted on an engine oil pan, and is beneficial to improving the isolation effect between an oil storage cavity and a crank chamber, preventing engine oil in an oil cavity from splashing to the crank chamber, and reducing the contact rate between waste gas of the crank chamber and engine oil in a backflow engine oil and the oil storage cavity.
