Abstract

The invention discloses a spark plug, comprising: the spark plug shell is fixedly connected with the insulation assembly, and the central electrode is coated in the insulation assembly; a hollow cavity is formed in the shell of the spark plug, the tip end of an insulator of the insulation assembly is arranged in the hollow cavity, the tip end of the insulator is provided with an ignition end part, and the central electrode is connected with the ignition end part; the middle part of the end face of the other side of the spark plug shell, which is opposite to the insulation assembly, is provided with a central hole with the function of a one-way valve; the outer edge of the end face of the other side of the spark plug shell, which is opposite to the insulation assembly, is provided with an exhaust hole communicated with the hollow cavity. The invention forms the hole-shaped electrode through the central hole, and simultaneously has the function of a one-way valve, and can allow air to pass and prevent flame from passing. The present invention enables the firing end to be as short as possible from the exhaust port by using a longer insulator tip to bring the firing end as close as possible to the central bore.

Background
It is well known to use a spark plug to ignite an air and fuel mixture in the combustion chamber of a spark-ignition engine. The performance of the spark plug can directly affect the performance of the engine; if the spark plug incorrectly ignites the air and fuel mixture located in the combustion chamber, there will be at least partially unburned fuel, resulting in a loss of power, reduced fuel efficiency, and increased hydrocarbon emissions.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the above, an object of the present invention is to provide a spark plug.
In order to achieve the purpose, the invention adopts the technical scheme that:
a spark plug comprising a spark plug shell, an insulator assembly, and a center electrode, wherein: the spark plug shell is fixedly connected with the insulation assembly, and the center electrode is coated in the insulation assembly; a hollow cavity is formed in the spark plug shell, the tip end of an insulator of the insulation assembly is arranged in the hollow cavity, an ignition end part is arranged on the tip end of the insulator, and the central electrode is connected with the ignition end part; the middle part of the end surface of the other side of the spark plug shell, which is opposite to the insulation assembly, is provided with a central hole with a one-way valve function; and the outer edge of the end surface of the spark plug shell, which is opposite to the other side of the insulation assembly, is provided with an exhaust hole communicated with the hollow cavity.
In the spark plug, the outer edge of the end face is provided with the plurality of exhaust holes, and the plurality of exhaust holes are uniformly distributed along the outer edge of the end face.
In the above spark plug, the central hole is formed in the middle of the end surface, and the central holes correspond to the ignition end.
In the spark plug, an annular inclined step surface is formed on the outer edge of the end surface of the spark plug housing.

In the spark plug, the insulation assembly has a tail portion for receiving an ignition wire, and the ignition wire is connected to the center electrode.
Due to the adoption of the technology, compared with the prior art, the invention has the following positive effects:
(1) the invention forms the hole-shaped electrode through the central hole, and simultaneously has the function of a one-way valve, and can allow air to pass and prevent flame from passing.
(2) The present invention enables the firing end to be as short as possible from the exhaust port by using a longer insulator tip to bring the firing end as close as possible to the central bore.

The first embodiment:

A hollow cavity 11 is formed in the spark plug shell 1, an insulator tip 21 of the insulation assembly 2 is arranged in the hollow cavity 11, an ignition end portion 22 is arranged on the insulator tip 21, and the center electrode is connected with the ignition end portion 22.
In addition, as a preferred embodiment, the spark plug housing 1 has a central hole 12 with a check valve function formed in the middle of the end surface on the other side with respect to the insulator assembly 2. The diameter of the central bore 12 is as small as possible to satisfy the one-way valve action of gas passing but flame not. The diameter of the central hole 12 is preferably 0.8 to 1.0 mm.
In addition, as a preferred embodiment, the outer edge of the end surface of the spark plug shell 1 opposite to the other side of the insulation assembly 2 is provided with an exhaust hole 13 communicated with the hollow cavity 11. In a further embodiment of the invention, the dielectric assembly 2 has a tail portion 23 for receiving an ignition wire (not shown) which is connected to the center electrode.
In a further embodiment of the present invention, each central hole 12 has a diameter of 0.8 to 1.0 mm.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the distance from the ignition end 22 to the inner wall of the end face is 0.8-1.5 mm. The distance from the ignition end 22 to the inner wall of the end face should be as short as possible, so that the distance from the upper end of the ignition end 22 to the exhaust hole 13 is as short as possible, thereby enabling the flame to have a stroke as short as possible to improve the efficiency of ignition.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the lower diameter of the firing end 22 is 2.5mm and the upper diameter of the firing end 22 is 1.5 mm.

Claims (6)

1. A spark plug comprising a spark plug shell, an insulator assembly, and a center electrode, wherein:
the spark plug shell is fixedly connected with the insulation assembly, and the center electrode is coated in the insulation assembly;
a hollow cavity is formed in the spark plug shell, the tip end of an insulator of the insulation assembly is arranged in the hollow cavity, an ignition end part is arranged on the tip end of the insulator, and the central electrode is connected with the ignition end part;
the middle part of the end surface of the other side of the spark plug shell, which is opposite to the insulation assembly, is provided with a central hole with a one-way valve function;
the outer edge of the end face of the other side of the spark plug shell, which is opposite to the insulation assembly, is provided with an exhaust hole communicated with the hollow cavity;
the spark plug shell is provided with an annular inclined table surface along the outer edge of the end surface;
the exhaust holes are formed in the inclined table top;
the axis of each exhaust hole is vertical to the inclined table surface;
the middle part of the end face is provided with a plurality of central holes, and the positions of the central holes correspond to the positions of the ignition end parts.
2. The spark plug of claim 1 wherein said end surface has a plurality of said exhaust holes formed in an outer edge thereof, said plurality of said exhaust holes being evenly distributed along said outer edge of said end surface.
3. The spark plug of claim 1 wherein each of said central bores has a diameter of 0.8 to 1.0 mm.
4. The spark plug of claim 1 wherein said firing end is spaced from said end face by a distance of 0.8 to 1.5 mm.
5. The spark plug of claim 1 wherein said spark plug shell has a threaded portion and a hexagonal nut portion on a side of said spark plug shell adjacent said insulator assembly.
6. The spark plug of claim 1 wherein said insulator assembly has a tail portion for receiving a firing wire, said firing wire being connected to said center electrode.
