Description

Multifunctional appliance for orthodontic treatment
Technical Field
The invention relates to an oral medical appliance, in particular to an orthodontic appliance.
Background
Humans have an upper jaw, called the upper jaw bone, which forms the upper dental arch, and an articulating lower jaw, called the lower jaw bone, which forms the lower dental arch. The patient has a proper bite when the upper and lower arches are sized and shaped to contact the upper and lower jaws when the upper and lower jaws are closed. In addition, the respective teeth of the upper and lower arches are correctly positioned relative to each other along the length of the arches so that they properly mate with each other. The occlusion of a normal person is referred to as class 1 occlusion, which is characterized in that the teeth of the upper arch overlie the teeth of the lower arch, the front teeth of the lower arch being located 1-2mm behind the front teeth of the upper arch.
Class 2 occlusions are formed when the person's maxillary position exceeds the class 1 occlusal position forward relative to the mandibular position. The underdevelopment of the lower jaw relative to the upper jaw of a class 2 bite patient may result in a smaller dental arch for the lower jaw than the upper jaw. The result of this is that the teeth of the upper jaw protrude forward relative to the teeth of the lower jaw, typically creating a deep bite curve between the teeth of the upper and lower jaws. Caucasian people are particularly prone to category 2.
When the position of the human upper jaw exceeds the position of class 1 bite posteriorly relative to the position of the lower jaw, class 3 bite is formed, and the lower jaw of the class 3 bite patient is overdoped relative to the upper jaw, possibly resulting in a larger dental arch of the lower jaw than the upper jaw. For example, the anterior region of the maxilla on the upper arch is underdeveloped and thus is located posterior to the anterior region of the lower arch. This can result in the anterior incisors of the lower arch protruding forward than the incisors of the upper arch. As discussed above in the description of proper dentition, the incisors of the lower arch should contact the rear of the incisors of the upper arch with a posterior motion of about 1-2 mm. Class 3 occlusion is more common among asian ethnicities.
Essentially, class 2,3 occlusions are caused by the uncoordinated bone growth of the maxilla and mandible during the developmental stage of childhood growth. Such abnormal development may be related to genetic factors, and also to abnormal activities of perioral muscles, bad oral habits, abnormal breathing or swallowing, etc., and thus, if the influence of these bad factors can be effectively blocked, and the jaw and teeth are guided to grow and develop in a normal direction by using the muscle force generated by the jaw muscles and the tooth eruption power, the class 2,3 occlusion may be converted into normal occlusion, which is the theoretical basis for correcting the jaw and teeth using the corrector.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention aims to solve the main technical problem of providing a multifunctional corrector for orthodontics, which can adjust the relation among jawbone, perioral muscles and teeth by adjusting the height and width of a surrounding baffle and the thickness and width of an occlusion guide plate so as to prevent and treat malocclusion.
In order to solve the technical problems, the invention provides a multifunctional corrector for orthodontic treatment, which comprises an occlusion guide plate, wherein the front end surface of the occlusion guide plate is an arc surface, and a surrounding baffle extends out of the upper direction and the lower direction of the arc surface respectively; the occlusion guide plate is positioned between the upper dentition and the lower dentition, the contact area of the occlusion guide plate and the dentition can be divided into a front dentition area and a rear dentition area, and the width of the guide plates of the front dentition area and the rear dentition area can be respectively adjusted so that teeth are in contact with at least one area of the guide plate; the areas, corresponding to the lips, of the surrounding barriers extending from the occlusion guide plate are an upper dental lip barrier and a lower dental lip barrier, and the areas, corresponding to the cheeks, of the surrounding barriers are an upper dental cheek screen and a lower dental cheek screen; the heights of the upper labial shield, the lower labial shield, the upper cheek shield and the lower cheek shield can be respectively adjusted, so that at least one area in the inner wall of the oral cavity, which corresponds to the upper labial shield, the lower labial shield, the upper cheek shield and the lower cheek shield, is kept separate from the teeth.
In a preferred embodiment: the height of the upper cheek screen or the lower cheek screen is adjusted to the vestibular sulcus.
In a preferred embodiment: the height of the upper dental labial shield or the lower dental labial shield is adjusted to the bottom of the vestibule sulcus.
In a preferred embodiment: the back end surface of the front tooth area of the occlusion guide plate extends out of an arc-shaped curved surface in the up-down direction, and a front tooth guide rail is formed between the curved surface and the enclosure.
In a preferred embodiment: the back end face of the front tooth area of the occlusion guide plate extends out of the back surface of the arc-shaped curved surface in the up-down direction to form a tongue tip placement position.
In a preferred embodiment: the enclosure is made of soft elastic materials.

The invention provides a multifunctional appliance for orthodontics, which is characterized in that the width of front and rear tooth areas of an occlusion guide plate, and the heights of an upper tooth lip block, a lower tooth lip block, an upper tooth lip block and a lower tooth lip block can be respectively adjusted; therefore, the enclosure of the part, which is needed to be separated from the inner wall of the oral cavity, of the teeth of the patient can be trimmed to a proper position according to the requirements of different patients, and the enclosure of the rest positions can be trimmed to a height which enables the appliance not to fall off easily. By trimming the width of the bite guide, teeth in different areas can be guided to erupt or be depressed. Thus, by trimming the bite guard and enclosure, the appliance can accurately correct one area for a different patient without affecting the teeth in other areas. Moreover, for different crowds, the width of the occlusion guide plate and the height of the enclosure can be different from person to person, so that the corrector of each patient can be ensured to be trimmed to the state most suitable for the patient.

Such as: the height of the upper or lower cheek screen 23 or 24 is adjusted to block the pressure of the cheek muscle against the upper or lower teeth.
The height of the upper or lower lip block 21 or 22 is adjusted to the upper or lower lip block 21 or 22 to block the pressure of the lips against the upper or lower teeth.
In this embodiment, enclose and keep off for soft elastic material preparation, in order to guarantee that different users can all use, this initial height that encloses keep off is higher, can't wear in the entry directly, and the user can adjust this height that encloses keep off through pruning.
Specifically, if patient A, the upper anterior and lower posterior portions of the enclosure, need to be corrected, the upper labial shield 21 and lower cheek shield 24 are trimmed to a height that completely separates the teeth from the inner walls of the mouth, thereby avoiding the inner walls of the mouth from applying inward pressure to these two locations, facilitating coordinated development of the dental arches in these two locations. The surrounding blocks at other parts can be trimmed as required to keep the corrector from falling off when being smoothly worn in the mouth. For the rest patients, the corresponding enclosure 2 is trimmed according to the thought.
In addition, in the present embodiment, the bite guide 1 is used for separating the upper and lower dentitions, and the contact area between the bite guide and the dentition can be divided into a front dental guide and a rear dental guide; the widths of the front and rear tooth guides are respectively adjustable so that the upper or lower dentition is in contact with at least one region of the bite guide 1; by adjusting the thickness and width, a part of teeth in the mouth of the patient can be contacted with the bite guide plate 1, and the other part of teeth can be separated from the bite guide plate. For example, the rear teeth can be led to erupt by cutting out the rear teeth guide plate area; and the front teeth can be led to erupt by cutting out the front tooth guide plate area.
The following preferred designs are also provided in this embodiment:
the rear end surface of the occlusion guide plate 1 is provided with arc-shaped curved surfaces 12 on the upper side and the lower side at positions corresponding to the front teeth; the area between the curved surface and the enclosure 2 forms the anterior front teeth track 13. This allows the patient's anterior teeth (including central incisors, lateral incisors, cuspids) to be guided by the anterior teeth track 13 so that the upper and lower jaws are in a normal position. The width of the position of the occlusion guide plate 1 corresponding to the rear teeth is wider, the guide limit effect is not provided for the middle teeth and the rear teeth, and the treatment comfort is improved.
