Referring to fig. 1, the present application provides a waterproof assembly 100, which is used in electronic equipment such as a mobile terminal, and the waterproof assembly 100 is used for improving the waterproof performance of the side key position of the mobile terminal. The waterproof assembly 100 includes a main board upper cover 10, a waterproof member 20 connected to the main board upper cover 10, a side key switch 30 attached to the waterproof member 20, and a side key 40 disposed opposite to the side key switch 30.
In one embodiment, the motherboard cover 10 includes an internal component 12, an external component 14, and a plastic component 16 sandwiched between the internal component 12 and the external component 14. Further, in the present embodiment, the internal member 12, the external member 14 and the plastic member 16 are integrally formed by injection molding. Further, the insert member 12 and the appearance member 14 are each an alloy member, such as an aluminum alloy. Specifically, the accommodating groove 122 is formed in the embedded part 12, and the accommodating groove 122 is used for accommodating the waterproof part 20 and the side key switch 30. The exterior member 14 and the plastic member 16 define a side key slot 142 in communication with the receiving slot 122, the side key slot 142 being configured to receive the side key 40. In other embodiments, the motherboard cover 10 may not include the separate insert 12, the exterior member 14 and the plastic member 16, but may be a single alloy or plastic body.
The side key switch 30 is accommodated in the accommodating groove 122 and is tightly attached to the waterproof member 20.
The waterproof member 20 is accommodated in the accommodating groove 122 of the motherboard cover 10. The waterproof member 20 includes a hard rubber frame 22 and a soft rubber member 24 closely fitted to the hard rubber frame 22. Specifically, the hard rubber frame 22 forms a closed annular frame body or a frame body with an opening, and is closely fitted with the soft rubber member 24. Further, referring to fig. 3, in an embodiment, a portion of the peripheral edge of the hard rubber frame 22 extends away from the side key 40 to form a plurality of fixing elements 222, and the fixing elements 222 surround to form a receiving cavity 224. Specifically, in an embodiment, the side key switch 30 is fixedly connected to a flexible printed circuit board 60, and the flexible printed circuit board 60 is just clamped and accommodated in the accommodating cavity 224, so that the side key switch 30 is tightly attached to the soft rubber member 24, as shown in fig. 2. Further, in the present embodiment, the hard rubber frame 22 and the soft rubber piece 24 are integrally formed by injection molding.
The hard rubber frame 22 is a hard member made of hard material, such as one of metal, alloy or plastic, and the soft rubber 24 is a soft rubber material, such as silicone. The hard rubber frame 22 is a hard frame, has a stable structure, and can well strut and fix the soft rubber piece 24, so that one side of the soft rubber frame 24, which is close to the side key 40, is tightly attached to the inner wall surrounding the accommodating groove 122, thereby avoiding water from permeating from the top of the soft rubber frame 24 and ensuring good waterproof performance.
Referring to the drawings, fig. 4 is a schematic structural view of a side key switch assembled on a waterproof member, fig. 5 is a schematic structural view of the assembly member shown in fig. 4 and an upper cover of a main board after the assembly member is assembled with the upper cover of the main board, and fig. 6 is a schematic structural view of a cross section of the waterproof member shown in fig. 5 along a-a direction.
Specifically, in one embodiment, referring to fig. 6, the soft rubber member 24 includes a bonding portion 242 and a peripheral portion 244 integrally formed with the bonding portion 242 at the edge. The peripheral portion 244 and the top end of the combining portion 242 form a clamping position, and the hard rubber frame 22 is nested on the clamping position to achieve the combination of the two. In this embodiment, the soft rubber member 24 and the hard rubber frame 22 are integrally formed by injection molding, and in other embodiments, the soft rubber member and the hard rubber frame may be attached by an adhesive layer.
Also referring to fig. 3, optionally, in an embodiment, a groove 246 is formed on a side of the combining portion 242 facing away from the side key 40, and the side key switch 30 is accommodated in the groove 246. Due to the arrangement, the side key switch 30 can be attached to the soft rubber piece 24 more closely, so that a user can control the side key switch 30 without using a larger pressing force.
Further, with reference to fig. 6 and 7, in an embodiment, the soft rubber 24 forms a concave portion 248 toward the side key 40 and a peripheral portion 244 surrounding the concave portion 248, and forms a protrusion 2482 at a position where the concave portion 248 is attached to the side key 40. The bump 2482 is clamped between the side key 40 and the side key switch 30, and the bump 2482 enables the force pressed by the user to be mostly directly applied to the bump 2482 when the user presses the side key 40, so that the force can be better applied to the side key switch 30, and the user has better hand feeling when pressing the side key 40. In other embodiments, the side of the soft rubber 24 facing the side key 40 may be only a plane, or other surfaces, as long as the force applied to the side key 40 can act on the side key switch 30.
The side key 40 is fastened on the inner wall of the main board upper cover 10 surrounding the side key groove 142, so that the side key 40 is detachably connected to the appearance part 14, and a part of the side key 40 is located in the side key groove 142, attached to the soft rubber part 24, and arranged opposite to the side key switch 30. Specifically, the side key 40 has engaging portions 42 at both ends thereof, and the engaging portions 42 are used to engage and connect the side key 40 to the inner wall of the surrounding side key groove 142. In other embodiments, the side keys 40 can be riveted or glued to the inner wall of the surrounding side key holes 142.
Further, in an embodiment, the side key 40 is formed with a protrusion 44 toward the side key switch 30, and the protrusion 44 is closely attached to the soft rubber piece 24 and is disposed opposite to the side key switch 30. This arrangement enables the side key switch 30 to be controlled by the user by pressing the side key 40 slightly.
In one embodiment, the waterproof assembly 100 further includes a seal 50, and the seal 50 is formed on the side of the soft rubber piece 24 facing the side key 40. By adopting the structure, the whole waterproof part 20 can be tightly attached to the inner wall of the enclosing containing groove 122, good air tightness is ensured, and the mobile terminal device applied to the waterproof assembly 100 is ensured to have better waterproof performance at the position of the side key 40. It will be appreciated that in embodiments where the soft glue 24 forms a recess 248 on the side facing the side key 40 and a peripheral portion 244 that encloses the recess 248, the seal 50 is formed on the peripheral portion 244. When the waterproof member 20 is accommodated in the accommodating groove 122 of the main board upper cover 10, the end surface of the sealing member 50 far away from the side key switch 30 is closer to the side key 40 than the end surface of the protruding block 2482 far away from the side key switch 30, so as to ensure that the flexible glue member 24 is in seamless fit with the inner wall surrounding the accommodating groove 122, thereby further improving the waterproof performance of the waterproof assembly 100. In the above embodiment, the seal 50 is an annular seal ring, and in another embodiment, the seal 50 may have a non-sealing shape having an opening.
It is understood that the seal 50 is integrally formed with the cushion member 20 by injection molding in one embodiment. This can make the sealing member 50 and the soft rubber member 20 be more firmly combined.
The present application also provides a mobile terminal 200, the mobile terminal 200 having the waterproof assembly as described in any of the above embodiments, as shown in fig. 8, and the side key 40 of the waterproof member is shown in the mobile terminal 200. Specifically, the mobile terminal 200 in the present application may be a mobile phone, an IPad, an intelligent wearable device, a digital audio/video player, an electronic reader, a handheld game machine, a vehicle-mounted electronic device, a digital camera, a printer, a flash drive, and the like.
The present application also provides a method of assembling a waterproof assembly, in one implementation, the method comprising the steps of:

The arrangement of the soft rubber member 24 and the sealing member 50 can well fill the gap between the side key switch 30 and the side key 40, thereby achieving a good waterproof effect and improving the waterproof performance of the mobile terminal 200 to which the waterproof assembly 100 is applied. In addition, the waterproof part 20 arranged in the application has the advantages of simple structure, simple production process, low cost and strong practicability.

4. The flashing assembly of claim 1, further comprising a seal formed on a side of the soft gel facing the side key.
5. The flashing assembly of claim 3 or claim 4, wherein the seal is integrally injection molded with the soft gel.
6. The flashing assembly of claim 1, wherein the soft gel member is integrally injection molded with the hard gel frame.
7. The waterproof assembly of claim 1, wherein the side key forms a protrusion towards one side of the side key switch, and the protrusion is tightly attached to the soft rubber piece and arranged opposite to the side key switch.

The waterproof assembly of claim 1, further comprising a flexible printed circuit board, wherein the side key switch is fixedly connected to the flexible printed circuit board, a peripheral edge portion of the hard rubber frame extends away from the side key to form a plurality of fixing members, the fixing members surround to form an accommodating cavity, and the flexible printed circuit board is just clamped and accommodated in the accommodating cavity.
