Description

Toilet seat cover
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a toilet cover decoratively covering a toilet lid of a western-style toilet.
Background
In recent years, a cover is generally attached to a toilet lid for the purpose of preventing adhesion of dirt and improving decorativeness.
In this case, the shape of the toilet lid in the commercial toilet bowl to be attached is a problem. Currently, there are two types of oval toilet covers (hereinafter, referred to as "old type") as shown in fig. 7 and home base (hereinafter, referred to as "new type") as shown in fig. 8. (Japanese patent laid-open No. 2001-327436 as an example of the former and Japanese patent laid-open No. 2014-230582 as an example of the latter.)
If the toilet cover is manufactured to fit one of the toilet covers, the toilet cover cannot be fitted to the other, and therefore, two types of toilet covers must be prepared as a final product of the toilet cover so as to be able to cope with both toilet covers. This is wasteful in all aspects of manufacture, storage, distribution, sale, and the like, and is not efficient.

Detailed Description
[ example 1 ]
As shown in fig. 1, a toilet bowl 1 having a toilet lid 11 to which a toilet cover 2 according to embodiment 1 of the present invention is attached has a normal appearance and has no sense of incongruity at all. The toilet lid 11 is a new type of toilet lid 11.
Fig. 2 to 6 show details of the toilet cover 2. As shown in each drawing of fig. 2, the overall shape of the toilet cover 2 is similar to the outer shape of an old type toilet lid. The longitudinal length was 43cm, and in the transverse direction, the transverse width was widest (about 38cm) at the central portion and narrowed (about 23cm) at the rear end portion 21. The rear end portion 21 is a portion that comes into contact with the toilet rear end 12 (fig. 1), and is linear.
The toilet cover 2 has a base cloth 22, and the base cloth 22 is provided with piles or cut piles implanted on the surface thereof and represents various designs by colored yarns or printing. The pile yarn base is exposed on the back surface of the base fabric 22, but cannot be seen from the outside, and therefore remains intact. The back surface of the base fabric 22 may be covered with a backing fabric (not shown) as necessary.
The structural features of the toilet cover 2 are best shown in fig. 2 (d). The outer periphery of the base fabric 22 is bent inward over substantially the entire periphery except for the rear end straight portion 21 to form a pocket portion 23, and the outer peripheral edge portion is trimmed.
In fig. 2 (d), the trim portion can be distinguished into a first portion 241 occupying about 14cm from the front end, a second portion 242 occupying the next 20cm, and a third portion 243 occupying the last 11cm, when measured along the straight distance in the longitudinal direction. The first portion 241 is bound by a rubber band 25 in which a plurality of rubber threads having a low stretch ratio are arranged. The second portion 242 is formed by a long cloth having no elasticity to form a trim portion 24, and a rubber band 26 in which a small number of rubber threads having a high elongation are arranged is attached to the trim portion 24 via a yarn 261. No rubber thread is disposed in the trim portion 24 of the third portion 243.
In one embodiment, the configured bungee cord is as follows.
(1) First part 241
Using No. 30 rubber thread and 18 middle-folded elastic bands
Length of 32cm when no load is applied
Elongation of about 2 times
(2) Second portion 242 (left and right, respectively)
Using rubber thread # 526 strand latex rubber band
Length of about 11cm when no load is applied
Elongation of about 2.7 times
As shown in fig. 2 (d), a mounting member 27 is provided below the back surface of the toilet cover 2. The mounting member 27 is a member for being closely attached to the surface of the toilet lid 11, and is the subject of another invention of the present applicant (japanese patent laid-open No. 2014-230582). In detail, referring to this publication, the mounting member 27 includes, from the bottom, a release sheet, an adhesive layer, and a nonwoven fabric layer (none of which are shown). The release sheet covers the surface of the adhesive layer at the time of sale, and is removed at the time of use. As the adhesive layer, for example, acrylic resin can be used. Both or one of the adhesive layer and the nonwoven fabric layer may be colored in a manner that is compatible with the color of the back surface of the cap body.
The attachment member 27 has three narrow grooves 28 formed in a substantially rectangular shape from the front, and two wide slits 29 formed at the rear. The fine groove leading end 281 is chamfered to form a round angle in order to prevent the cut from extending unexpectedly. The attachment member 27 and the toilet cover 2 are fixed by sewing with yarn at three locations where no slit 29 exists at the rear end of the attachment member 27, and sewing with yarn or heat-welding with hot melt adhesive 30 between the narrow grooves 28 in front of the attachment member 27 and at six locations of both ribs.
The nonwoven fabric layer is not attached to the toilet cover 2, and therefore, there is a space between the mounting member 27 and the toilet cover 2 main body except for the bonded portion by sewing or hot melt. Therefore, most of the mounting member 27 is in a state of being suspended from the toilet cover main body.
When the toilet lid 2 is mounted on the toilet lid 11, the pocket 23 of the toilet lid 2 is hooked on the front end of the toilet lid 11, and the adhesive layer is further pressed (the release sheet is removed) against the surface of the toilet lid. When removing the toilet cover 2, this is done by the reverse procedure.
Fig. 7 is a bottom view of a state where the toilet cover 2 is mounted on the old-type toilet lid 111. The rubber band 26 of the second portion 242 moderately fastens both ribs and thus fits well to the oval shape of the toilet lid 111.
In particular, in order to reduce the gap with the old type toilet lid 111, as shown in fig. 2 (d), the base cloth 22 in the trim portion is cut in a triangular shape at two portions where both left and right ends of the mounting member 27 intersect the rear end straight portion 21. The base of the triangle was 2cm in length and 0.8cm in height, in terms of the size of the cut portion 31. The interval between the cut portions 31 at the two locations (i.e., the length of the bottom edge portion of the mounting member) was 22.5 cm. The cloth of the cut portion 31 does not exist, and thus is easily folded along the folding line 32 from there, naturally following the contour of the old type toilet lid 111 (refer to fig. 7).
Fig. 8 is a bottom view of a state where the toilet cover 2 is mounted on a new type of toilet lid 112. The third section 243 has no elastic band, so the rear portion is sufficiently expanded to fit well with the home-base toilet lid 112. The folding line 32 starting from said cut 31 is completely inactive in this type of toilet lid and therefore, as it is not present, does not detract from the aesthetic appearance.
