The embodiment discloses a hard disk rack assembly 1, which is suitable for mounting a hard disk 2. The hard disk rack assembly 1 comprises a mounting rack 10, four assembly posts 11, two positioning posts 12 and an operating device 13.
The mounting frame 10 includes a clamping frame 101, a first assembly portion 102 and a second assembly portion 103. The clamping frame 101 includes a first side support 1012, a second side support 1013, a flexible support 1014, a first extension support 1015, and a second extension support 1016.
The first side support 1012 is opposite to the second side support 1013, and each has a first side 10121, 10131 and a second side 10122, 10132.
The flexible frame 1014 is connected to the first sides 10121, 10131 of the first side frame 1012 and the second side frame 1013.
The first extension bracket 1015 is attached to the second side 10122 of the first side bracket 1012 and extends toward the second side bracket 1013. The second extension bracket 1016 is attached to the second side edge 10132 of the second side bracket 1013 and extends toward the first side bracket 1012. That is, the first extension bracket 1015 and the second extension bracket 1016 are opposite the flexible bracket 1014. The first side support 1012, the second side support 1013, the first extension support 1015, the second extension support 1016, and the flexible support 1014 collectively surround a mounting space 1017.
The first extension bracket 1015 has a movable end 10151 on a side away from the first side bracket 1012, and the second extension bracket 1016 has a movable end 10161 on a side away from the second side bracket 1013.
The first assembling portion 102 is connected to the movable end 10151 of the first extending support 1015 and has a first assembling hole 1021. The second assembling portion 103 is connected to the movable end 10161 of the second extension bracket 1016 and has a second assembling hole 1031. The first assembling portion 102 and the second assembling portion 103 can respectively drive the movable end 10151 and the movable end 10161 to move away from or close to each other to adjust the size of the installation space 1017. For example, when the first assembly portion 102 and the second assembly portion 103 approach each other, the size of the installation space 1017 is smaller than when the first assembly portion 102 and the second assembly portion 103 are away from each other, the size of the installation space 1017 is smaller.
In the present embodiment, the distance between the first assembly portion 102 and the first side bracket 1012 is smaller than the distance between the second assembly portion 103 and the second side bracket 1013. That is, the first extension bracket 1015 and the second extension bracket 1016 have different lengths to form an asymmetric design. Thus, the user can be prevented from assembling the mounting rack 10 and the operating device 13 in the wrong direction by the asymmetrical design. However, the distance between the first assembly portion 102 and the first side bracket 1012 may be the same as the distance between the second assembly portion 103 and the second side bracket 1013 in other embodiments.
The four assembling posts 11 are disposed two by two on one surface 10121, 10131 of the first side bracket 1012 and the second side bracket 1013 facing the mounting space 1017, and are respectively inserted into the assembling slots 20 of the hard disk 2 when the hard disk 2 is mounted.
In the present embodiment, the number of the assembly posts 11 corresponding to the number of the assembly slots 20 of the hard disk 2 is four and two are disposed opposite to each other, but not limited thereto. In other embodiments, fewer than four or more than four assembly posts may be configured depending on the number of assembly slots on the hard disk.
The two positioning posts 12 are respectively disposed on a surface 10152, 10162 of the first extending support 1015 and the second extending support 1016 facing away from the mounting space 1017.
The operating device 13 includes a base 131, a first fastener 132, an elastic member 133, a handle 134, a second fastener 135, and an electromagnetic interference protection module 136.
The base 131 has a first surface 1311, a second surface 1312, a limiting through hole 1313 and two positioning holes 1314 corresponding to the two positioning posts 12. The first surface 1311 is opposite the second surface 1312, and the first surface 1311 faces the mounting bracket 10. The limiting through hole 1313 penetrates through the first surface 1311 and the second surface 1312. The two positioning holes 1314 are located on the first surface 1311 for the positioning posts 12 of the mounting frame 10 to insert into.
The first locking member 132 is slidably disposed on the second surface 1312 of the base 131 and has a locking position and a releasing position. The first locking element 132 includes an operating portion 1321, a body portion 1322 and a latch portion 1323 connected together. The latch portion 1323 has an abutting inclined surface 13231. The elastic member 133 is disposed between the base 131 and the operation portion 1321. When the first latch 132 is at the latching position, the abutting inclined surface 13231 of the latch portion 1323 is aligned with the limiting through hole 1313 and can be pushed by the first assembly portion 102 and the second assembly portion 103 to slide the first latch 132 from the latching position to the releasing position. The first locking member 132 is driven by the elastic member 133 to return to the locking position from the releasing position, so that the latch 1323 is disposed through the first and second assembly holes 1031 and 1032, and the first and second assembly portions 102 and 103 are limited by the limiting hole 1313 and close to each other.
The handle 134 is pivotally disposed on the base 131 and has a closed position and an open position. The second locking element 135 is slidably disposed on the base 131, and the handle 134 is pressed by the second locking element 135 and fixed at the closed position. When the handle 134 is released from the pressing of the second latch 135, the handle 134 rotates from the closed position to the open position. The handle 134 in the open position provides a user grip that allows the user to easily pull the hard disk drive rack assembly 1 with the hard disk drive 2.
The emi protection module 136 is, for example, a metal sheet disposed on the upper and lower side edges of the base 131, and is used to contact with the chassis and be grounded, so as to shield the external electromagnetic wave from interfering the hard disk.
The following describes the process of assembling the hard disk 2 to the hard disk rack assembly 1. Please refer to fig. 4 to 6. Fig. 4 is a perspective view of a hard disk mounted to the mounting bracket of fig. 1. Fig. 5 and 6 are top sectional views of the hard disk assembly of fig. 1 with a hard disk mounted thereon. First, as shown in fig. 4, the first assembling portion 102 and the second assembling portion 103 are opened to drive the first side bracket 1012 and the second side bracket 1013 to be relatively away from each other, so as to increase the size of the installation space 1017, and at this time, the hard disk 2 can be easily placed in the installation space 1017 by avoiding the assembling posts 11 on the first side bracket 1012 and the second side bracket 1013. Then, the first assembly portion 102 and the second assembly portion 103 are released, and the first side bracket 1012 and the second side bracket 1013 are brought close to each other by the elastic recovery of the flexible bracket 1014, so that the size of the installation space 1017 is reduced and close to the size of the hard disk 2. At this time, the assembly posts 11 located on the first side bracket 1012 and the second side bracket 1013 are inserted into the assembly grooves 20 of the hard disk 2, so that the hard disk 2 is sandwiched therebetween.
Next, as shown in fig. 5, the first assembling portion 102 and the second assembling portion 103 of the mounting rack 10 are inserted into the position-limiting through hole 1313 of the operating device 13, and the first assembling portion 102 and the second assembling portion 103 are limited by the position-limiting through hole 1313 and close to each other. The first assembly portion 102 and the second assembly portion 103 pass through the limiting hole 1313 and simultaneously push the abutting inclined surface 13231 of the latch portion 1323. The latch 1323, when pushed, will drive the body 1322 and the operating portion 1321 to slide from the latching position to the releasing position along the releasing direction D1. At this time, the elastic member 133 located between the operation portion 1321 and the seat body 131 is in a compressed state. In addition, while the first assembling portion 102 and the second assembling portion 103 pass through the limiting through hole 1313, the two positioning posts 12 are respectively inserted into the two positioning holes 1314, so as to improve the assembling accuracy of the mounting frame 10 and the operating device 13.
Then, when the assembling holes 1021, 1031 of the first assembling portion 102 and the second assembling portion 103 are aligned with the latch portion 1323 of the first latch 132, the first latch 132 is not pushed. At this time, as shown in fig. 6, the compressed elastic member 133 releases the elasticity and drives the first locking member 132 to return to the locking position from the releasing position along the locking direction D2, so that the latch portion 1323 is locked in the assembly holes 1021 and 1031 of the first assembly portion 102 and the second assembly portion 103. Therefore, in addition to the first side bracket 1012 and the second side bracket 1013 being rebounded by the flexible bracket 1014 to clamp the hard disk 2, the limiting through hole 1313 further fixes the two assembling portions 102, 103, thereby enhancing the clamping force between the first side bracket 1012 and the second side bracket 1013, and thus improving the assembling strength between the hard disk frame assembly 1 and the hard disk 2.
In the present embodiment, the first assembling portion 102 and the second assembling portion 103 push against the abutting inclined surface 13231 of the latch portion 1323, so that the first locking member 132 slides from the locking position to the releasing position, but not limited thereto. In other embodiments, the latch portion may not have an abutting slope, and the first locking member 132 is disengaged from the locking position by pulling the operating portion 1321.
In the embodiment, in addition to the assembling of the mounting frame 10 and the operating device 13 passing through the limiting hole 1313 by the assembling portions 102 and 103, the positioning post 1314 and the positioning hole 12 can also improve the alignment accuracy of the mounting frame 10 and the operating device 13. Specifically, in order to allow the assembling portions 102 and 103 that are not completely closed to pass through the limiting through hole 1313, the design width of the limiting through hole 1313 is slightly larger than the total thickness of the assembling portions 102 and 103, that is, after the assembling portions 102 and 103 penetrate through the limiting through hole 1313, there is still a moving margin. Then, the positioning post 1314 is inserted into the positioning hole 12 to completely position the mounting frame 10 and the operating device 13, thereby enhancing the assembling strength of the mounting frame 10 and the operating device 13.
According to the hard disk rack assembly of the above embodiment, since the mounting space of the clamping frame portion can be adjusted by relatively approaching or separating the two movable ends of the mounting rack. Therefore, the user can clamp the hard disk in the clamping frame portion or separate the hard disk from the clamping of the clamping frame portion only by pulling the two movable ends of the clamping frame portion. Furthermore, only the first assembly part and the second assembly part connected to the two movable ends need to pass through the limiting through holes and slide the first buckling piece, and the first buckling piece is buckled in the assembly holes of the assembly parts, so that the two movable ends can be fixed through the limiting through holes under the condition that tools are not needed, the hard disk is clamped by the clamping frame part, and the assembly speed between the hard disk frame assembly and the hard disk is further improved.
In addition, the assembling of the mounting frame and the operating device is combined with each other through the limiting through holes arranged on the assembling portion, and the positioning columns and the positioning holes can further improve the alignment precision of the mounting frame and the operating device, so that the assembling strength of the mounting frame and the operating device is enhanced.
Although the present invention has been described with reference to the above embodiments, it should be understood that various changes and modifications can be made therein by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
