Packaging device for cosmetic products

Technical Field

The present invention relates to a packaging for cosmetic products, in particular for cosmetic products in solid or paste form, that is to say which do not diffuse in open air, such as lipsticks, lip glosses, blushes or eye shadows and foundations.

Background

Packaging devices for cosmetic products, in particular for lip balms, are known in the prior art and comprise a base, a lid and an intermediate portion for receiving a cosmetic product, the intermediate portion being fixedly mounted with respect to the base. In this type of device, the opening is performed by unscrewing or unbuckling the lid relative to the base.

Packaging devices for lipsticks are known in the prior art, wherein the device is opened by tilting a first part about a rotation axis, which first part is completely staggered or clipped within a second part, to allow the product to appear in the open position of the device. However, in this known type of device, the product is arranged so as to be movable about the axis of rotation of the first part, which makes application difficult due to the constant movement of the cosmetic product.

According to the prior art, it is interesting to propose a cosmetic product packaging device which provides, on the one hand, an opening by tilting a lid in the base of the device and, on the other hand, an intermediate portion fixedly mounted on the base of the casing.

Disclosure of Invention

It is therefore an object of the present invention to propose a packaging device in which the cosmetic product is located in an intermediate portion which is fixedly mounted with respect to the base of the device, while allowing the device to be opened by tilting.

Another object of the invention is to propose an alternative embodiment for fastening the intermediate portion to the base.

The present invention therefore relates to a packaging device for a cosmetic product, in particular for a solid or pasty cosmetic product, comprising a base, an intermediate part and a lid, the intermediate part being mounted in the base and the lid being hingedly mounted on the intermediate part so as to be able to occupy two positions: a so-called first closed position, in which the base and the lid define a substantially closed space between them, and a so-called second open position, in which the lid is retracted inside the base.

According to the invention, the base comprises at least two male coupling members corresponding to a female shape, designed to cooperate with at least two female coupling members corresponding to a male shape provided on the intermediate portion, so that the intermediate portion is fixed to the base in the closed position and in the open position of the device.

According to the invention, the cover is configured to be tilted by a rotational movement about a rotational axis (R) defined by at least two coupling members.

According to the invention, the intermediate part is intended to carry the cosmetic product and to enable the cosmetic product to be accessed in the open position of the device, the at least two coupling members provided on the intermediate part being designed to: on the one hand, the intermediate portion is positioned in the base and held in place, and on the other hand, tilting of the lid about the rotation axis (R) is ensured, allowing the device to pass from the open position to the closed position and vice versa.

The invention therefore makes it possible to propose a packaging device for a cosmetic product that is opened by tilting the lid so that it can be housed inside the base of the device, but in which tilting step there is no need to actuate the intermediate portion in which the cosmetic product is moulded.

The invention also enables to ensure the stability of the intermediate portion on the base of the packaging unit, while enabling to tilt the lid inside the base when the packaging unit is opened.

According to different embodiments of the invention, which can be taken together or separately:

the intermediate portion is in the form of a wheel,

the intermediate portion has a rim with an outer face and an inner face,

at least two coupling members provided on the intermediate portion are located on the outer face of the rim,

each of the at least two coupling members provided on the intermediate portion is a female coupling member,

each of the at least two female coupling members provided in the intermediate portion has a head and two tongues on either side of the head, and a recess cut into the material of the head, the recess being configured to receive at least one of the two male coupling members of the base,

the heads of at least two coupling members provided on the intermediate portion have a circular shape,

-at least two coupling members provided on the intermediate portion are omega-shaped,

the heads of at least two coupling members provided on the intermediate portion have a thickness, measured along the longitudinal axis L, sufficient to allow the passage of the cover,

each of the at least two coupling members provided on the intermediate portion is a male coupling member,

the cover comprises at least two connection areas,

two connection zones on the lid each having a technical shape complementary to that of the head, so as to hinge the lid on the intermediate portion and allow the lid to be tilted from the closed position to the open position and vice versa,

-each of the at least two coupling members located on the base is a male coupling member,

-each of the at least two coupling members located on the base comprises a central member intended to be received in a recess cut into the material of the head of the coupling member of the intermediate portion, in order to be used for positioning the intermediate portion on the base, and

each of the at least two coupling members located on the base comprises a receiving portion having a shape laterally with respect to the central member complementary to the tongue portion of the coupling member of the intermediate portion, such that the receiving portion and the tongue portion cooperate with each other to hold the intermediate portion in place in the base,

-each of the at least two coupling members located on the base is a female coupling member.

Detailed Description

In the following description, the same reference numerals will be used to refer to elements and components having the same, comparable or similar structure or function.

In the following description, by convention and without limitation, we will assume longitudinal, vertical and transverse orientations for all the figures with reference to the trihedron (L, V, T) shown in fig. 1A. The vertical direction serves as a geometrical reference, independent of the direction of gravity of the earth's center. The rotation axis (R) is horizontal in the longitudinal direction L.

Conventionally, the longitudinal and transverse orientations are determined in a fixed manner with respect to the base of the device, so that the open or closed position of the device has no influence on said orientations.

Without limitation, we will also use the terms "left" and "right" with respect to the longitudinal orientation, and "upper" and "lower" or "top" and "bottom" with respect to the vertical orientation, and finally "front" and "rear" with respect to the transverse orientation, the front of the device having a gripping hook.

In general, the terms "inner" or "outer" and "inner" or "outer" are used with respect to a device, and in particular with respect to a middle portion and a base portion of a device, respectively, to particularly refer to elements that are located inside or outside of the middle portion or the base portion.

Although the application of a lipstick or lip gloss is more specifically provided, the invention can also be used for any other type of makeup product that can be used in solid or pasty form, that is to say without spreading in the open air, in particular of blush or eyeshadow, foundation, fragrance or deodorant or antiperspirant type.

The invention relates to a packaging device 10 for a cosmetic product, in particular for a solid or pasty cosmetic product P, comprising a base 20, arranged vertically from bottom to top, an intermediate portion 30 and a lid 40, the intermediate portion 30 being mounted in the base 20 and the lid 40 being hingedly mounted on the intermediate portion 30 so as to be able to occupy two positions: a so-called first closed position, as shown in fig. 1A to 1C, in which the base 20 and the lid 40 define a substantially closed space therebetween, and a so-called second open position, as shown in fig. 2A to 2C, in which the lid 40 is retracted within the base 20.

Preferably, the device 10 is substantially spherical. In an alternative, not shown, the device according to the invention may be in the form of a substantially cylindrical shape, with a circular, oval, elliptical or similar surface.

The base 20 shown in fig. 3A is made of a plastic material, in particular selected from the following materials: acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), polypropylene (PP) or Styrene Acrylonitrile (SAN). The base is made by molding.

The base 20 is substantially in the shape of a hollow hemisphere and has an outer face 21 and an inner face 22. Advantageously, the inner face 22 is smooth. The exterior face 21 may be smooth or may include an embossment. The exterior face may also have ornamentation, that is, it may comprise customized elements of the device.

Along the vertical axis V, the base 20 has a first upper end 23. The upper end or face 23 of the base 20 is open to receive the intermediate portion 30.

Furthermore, near the upper end 23 of the base 20, and in particular on the inner face 22 of this upper end 23 of the base 20, it can be seen that a groove 24 is designed to receive the intermediate portion 30. The groove 24 is visible over substantially the entire circumference of the base 20. The width of the groove 24 along the vertical axis V is adapted to coincide with the width of the rim 31 of the intermediate portion 30.

Along the vertical axis V, the base 20 also has a second lower end 25 to allow the device 10 according to the invention to be gripped when applying makeup, the lower end 25 of the base 20 further comprising a structure 26 designed to enable the device 10 to be stably positioned on a complementary surface, such as a flat surface, in particular a dresser, a table, a counter.

The base 20 comprises at least two male coupling members 27 designed to cooperate with at least two female coupling members 38 provided on the intermediate portion 30, so that the intermediate portion 30 is fixed to the base 20 in the closed position and in the open position of the device 10.

As shown in fig. 3A and 3B, each of the two male coupling members 27 located on the base 20 comprises, on the one hand, a central member 28 and, on the other hand, a housing portion 29, which is lateral with respect to the central member 28.

Two male coupling members 27 are positioned substantially at the slot 24. In other words, the two male coupling members 27 are located at the inner face 22 of the upper end 23 of the base 20.

The central member 28 is intended to be received in a recess 38-3 cut into the material of the head 38-1 of the female coupling member 38 of the intermediate portion 30 for positioning the intermediate portion 30 on the base 20. The central member 28 may be any shape that is complementary to the shape of the recess 38-3. Thus, the technical shape of the central member 28 is adapted to be able to be inserted or accommodated into the corresponding shape of the recess 38-3. Advantageously, the technical shape of the central member 28 and therefore of the recess 38-3 is not of revolution to avoid any rotation of the intermediate portion 30 with respect to the base 20. In particular, the central member 28 may have a polygonal shape, in particular a substantially square, rectangular, triangular shape. Thus, the different sides created by the multiple angles in these polygons prevent the middle portion 30 from rotating relative to the base 20.

Likewise, the lateral receiving portion 29 has a shape complementary to the shape of the tongue 38-2 of the female coupling member 38 of the intermediate portion 30, such that the receiving portion 29 and the tongue 38-2 cooperate with each other to hold the intermediate portion 30 in place in the base portion 20.

The non-swivelling shape of the central member 28 and the presence of the lateral housing 29 at the base 20 make it possible to prevent any rotation of the intermediate portion 30 with respect to the base 20 when they cooperate respectively with the recesses 38-3 and the tongues 38-2 of the intermediate portion 30.

In an alternative embodiment, not shown, each of the two coupling members 27 located on the base 20 is a female coupling member intended to cooperate with two male coupling members provided on the intermediate portion 30, so that the intermediate portion 30 can be fixed to the base 20 in the closed and open positions of the device 10.

According to the trihedron (L, V, T) shown in fig. 1B, two coupling members 27 are arranged longitudinally on the left and right sides with respect to the base 20 of the device 10. Thus, the two coupling members 27 are positioned diametrically opposite to each other in the longitudinal direction.

As shown in fig. 1A, 2A and 2B, the device 10 comprises an intermediate portion 30 intended to carry the cosmetic product P and to enable the cosmetic product to be accessed in the open position of the device 10.

The intermediate portion 30 is made of a plastic material, in particular selected from the following materials: acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), polypropylene (PP) or Styrene Acrylonitrile (SAN). The intermediate portion 30 is made by moulding.

As shown in fig. 4A to 4D, the intermediate portion has a rim 31, and the rim 31 includes an outer face 32 and an inner face 33.

The intermediate portion 30 is in the form of a wheel.

The intermediate portion 30 includes a plurality of spokes 34 that extend from a hub 35 to an end at the inner face 33 of the rim 31.

The spokes 34 extend from the hub 35 at the same angle, joining at the inner face 33 of the rim 31.

The width of the spokes 34 and the diameter of the hub 35 are chosen to form a suitable area 36 where the cosmetic product P is poured. When the device is substantially spherical, this area 36 over which the cosmetic product is poured is circular. Thus, the region 36 includes a lower face 36-1 and an upper face 36-2.

Advantageously, the cosmetic product P is poured from top to bottom through the zone 36 of the intermediate portion 30, that is to say using a hot pouring technique, from the lower face 36-1 towards the upper face 36-2 of the zone 36.

The spokes 34 present interstitial spaces 37 between them to allow the passage of the cosmetic product P, and the spokes 34 enable the cosmetic product P to be fixed to the intermediate portion 30.

Furthermore, the area 36 defined by the rim 31 is pushed along the vertical axis V with respect to the height of the rim 31. The area 36 is at half height relative to the rim 31. Also, the hub 35 rises along the vertical axis V, that is, it projects beyond the upper end of the rim 31, as seen from the side shown in fig. 4A, in order to stabilize the poured cosmetic product P.

Alternatively, according to an embodiment not shown, the cosmetic product P can be poured via the upper face 37 of the zone 36 of the intermediate portion 30. In this case, the area 36 delimited by the rim 31 may be solid, that is to say not comprising the spokes 34. In order to fix and stabilize the poured cosmetic product P, a recess is then made on the perimeter of the inner face 33 of the rim 31.

The middle portion further comprises at least two coupling members 38 on the outer face of the rim 31. The two coupling members 38 provided on the intermediate portion 30 are designed such that: positioning the intermediate portion 30 in the base 20 and keeping it in position on the one hand and ensuring on the other hand that the lid 40 is tilted about the rotation axis (R), thus allowing the device 10 to pass from the open position to the closed position and vice versa.

Each of the at least two coupling members 38 disposed on the intermediate portion 30 is a female coupling member. In another embodiment, not shown, each of the two coupling members 38 provided on the intermediate portion 30 may be a male coupling member.

As shown more particularly in FIGS. 4B and 4D, each of the at least two female coupling members 38 disposed on the intermediate portion 30 has a head 38-1 and two tongues 38-2 on either side of the head 38-1 and a recess 38-3 cut into the material of the head 38-1. The recess 38-3 is configured to receive one of the two male coupling members 27 of the base 20, and more specifically, the central member 28 of the male coupling member 27.

The heads 38-1 of the two coupling members 38 disposed on the intermediate portion 30 are rounded.

The two female coupling members 38 provided on the intermediate portion 30 are omega-shaped.

The heads 38-1 of the two linking members 38 disposed on the intermediate portion 30 have a thickness, measured along the longitudinal axis L, sufficient to allow the passage of the cover 40.

The thickness of the cover 40 allows the cover to tilt by rotational movement about a rotational axis (R) defined by at least two linking members 38 located in the intermediate portion 30. More specifically, tilting by rotation is accomplished via the head 38-1 of the coupling member 38 so that the cover 40 can be received in the base 20 of the device 10.

According to the trihedron (L, V, T) shown in fig. 1B, two coupling members 38 are arranged longitudinally on the left and right sides with respect to the middle portion 30 of the apparatus 10, as are the coupling members 27 with respect to the base 20. Thus, the two coupling members 38 are positioned diametrically opposite each other, longitudinally.

Aesthetically, the tongue 38-2 and the respective lateral housing 29 are not visible to the naked eye of the user when the user uses the cosmetic product P, since they are hidden in the base 20 of the device 10.

As shown in fig. 1A and 2A, the device 10 comprises a cover 40, which is hingedly mounted on the middle part so as to be able to occupy two positions: a so-called first closed position, in which the base and the lid define a substantially closed space between them, and a so-called second open position, in which the lid is retracted inside the base.

The cover 40 is made of a plastic material, in particular selected from the following materials: acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), polypropylene (PP) or Styrene Acrylonitrile (SAN). The cover 40 is made by molding.

As shown in fig. 5A to 5C, the cap 40 is substantially in the shape of a hollow hemisphere, and has an outer face 41 and an inner face 42. Advantageously, the inner face 42 of the cap 40 is smooth. The inner face 42 has no reliefs so as not to damage the surface of the cosmetic product poured and contained inside in the closed position of the device 10.

Outer face 41 may be smooth or may include an embossment. The exterior face may also have ornamentation, that is, it may comprise customized elements of the device.

Along the vertical axis V, the cover 40 has a first end, referred to as the upper end 43 of the cover 40. The upper end 43 of the lid 40 is closed.

Along the vertical axis V, the cover 40 has a second end, referred to as the lower end 44 of the cover 40. This lower end 44 of the lid is open so as to be able to cover and protect the cosmetic product P in the closed position of the device.

Near the lower end 44 of the lid 40, and more specifically on the front outer face 41 of this lower end 44 of the lid 40, a gripping member 45 is visible, designed to allow the lid 40 to be held by hand in order to pass it from the open position to its closed position and vice versa. The gripping member 45 is here in the form of a front hook. A gripping hook is carried on the base 20, the hook being able to act as a stop to block the travel of the cover 40 in the closed and open positions by contact with the edge of the base 20.

The cover 40 is configured to tilt by a rotational movement about a rotational axis (R) defined by at least two coupling members 38 located on the intermediate portion. More specifically, tilting by rotation is accomplished via the head 38-1 of the coupling member 38 so that the cover 40 can be received in the base 20 of the device 10.

The cover comprises two connection areas 46. The two connection areas 46 on the lid 40 each have a technical shape complementary to the technical shape of the head 38-1 of the female coupling member 38 at the intermediate portion 30, so as to hinge the lid 40 on the intermediate portion 30 and allow the lid 40 to be tilted from the closed position to the open position and vice versa.

Furthermore, the specific shape of coupling member 38, i.e., the omega shape, facilitates assembly of cover 40 on coupling member 38 of intermediate portion 30. Thus, the omega shape reduces the risk of breakage of the end of the connection region 46 located on the cover 40 during insertion of the coupling member 38 into the connection region 46, while allowing the cover 40 to hinge on the intermediate portion 30, since the circular shape of the head 38-1 matches complementarily to the shape of the connection region 46 of the cover 40.

According to the trihedron (L, V, T) shown in fig. 1B, the two connection areas 46 are arranged longitudinally on the left and right with respect to the cover 40 of the device 10, just as the male coupling member 27 with respect to the base 20 and the female coupling member 38 with respect to the intermediate portion 30. Thus, the two connection regions 46 are located diametrically opposite each other in the longitudinal direction. The gripping member 45 is arranged perpendicular to one or the other of the two connection areas 46 on the cover.

Claims

1. Packaging unit (10) for a cosmetic product (P), comprising a base (20), an intermediate portion (30) and a lid (40), said intermediate portion (30) being mounted in said base (20) and said lid (40) being hingedly mounted on said intermediate portion (30) so as to be able to occupy two positions: a so-called first closed position, in which the base (20) and the lid (40) define a substantially closed space between them, and a so-called second open position, in which the lid (40) is retracted inside the base (20):

-said base (20) comprises at least two male coupling members (27) corresponding to a female shape designed to cooperate with at least two female coupling members (38) corresponding to a male shape provided on said intermediate portion (30), so that said intermediate portion (30) is fixed to said base (20) in the closed position and in the open position of said device (10),

-the cover (40) is configured to tilt by a rotary movement about a rotation axis (R) defined by the at least two corresponding male female coupling members (38),

-said intermediate portion (30) is intended to carry and enable access to the cosmetic product (P) in the open position of the device (10), said at least two female coupling members (38) corresponding to a male shape provided on said intermediate portion (30) being designed to: -on the one hand positioning the intermediate portion (30) in the base (20) and keeping it in position, and on the other hand ensuring that the lid (40) is tilted about the rotation axis (R), allowing the device (10) to pass from the open position to the closed position and vice versa.

2. Packaging unit according to claim 1, wherein said intermediate portion (30) has a rim (31), said rim (31) having an outer face (32) and an inner face (33), said at least two female coupling members (38) corresponding to a male shape being located on the outer face (32) of said rim (31).

Packaging unit according to claim 1 or 2, wherein each of the at least two male-corresponding female coupling members (38) provided in the intermediate portion (30) is a female coupling member (38) having a head (38-1) and two tongues (38-2) on both sides of the head, and a recess (38-3) cut into the material of the head (38-1) configured to receive at least one of the two male coupling members (27) of the base (20).

4. The encapsulation device according to claim 3, wherein the at least two female coupling members (38) provided on the intermediate portion (30) are omega-shaped.

5. Packaging unit according to claim 3, wherein said lid (40) comprises at least two connection areas (46), the two connection areas (46) each having a technical shape complementary to the technical shape of said head (38-1) so as to hinge said lid (40) on said intermediate portion (30) and allow the tilting of said lid (40) from the closed position to the open position and vice versa.

6. The packaging of claim 3, wherein each of the at least two coupling members (27) on the base (20) is a male coupling member comprising:

-a central member (28) intended to be housed in a recess (38-3) cut into the material of the head (38-1) of the female coupling member (38) of the intermediate portion (30) for positioning the intermediate portion (30) on the base (20), and

-a housing (29) having a shape laterally complementary to a tongue (38-2) of a female coupling member (38) of the intermediate portion (30) with respect to a central member (28), such that the housing (29) and the tongue (38-2) cooperate with each other to hold the intermediate portion (30) in place in the base (20).

7. Packaging according to claim 1 or 2, said cosmetic product being a solid or pasty cosmetic product.
