Abstract

Description

将电器中电连接器接地的方法及其电连接器组件
本发明涉及一种将电器中电连接器接地的方法及其电连接器组件,其将导电接地夹片附接至电连接器上,再与所述电器壳板构成接触路径,并取代主机板上的接地电路。
尚在审查中的一九九五年九月六日提出申请的美国专利申请第08/524,333号,揭示出一个泛用框架(universal frame),此框架同时可以保持一个D型I/O(输入/输出)连接器于一个较高的位置上以及一个三合一整合型语音插口组件(three-in-one integral audio jack assembly)于一较低的位置上,用以分别连接至相对应的外围设备上。在这种设计中,每一个语音插口(audiojack)单元都具有一自其底面向下伸出的接地端子,用以焊接至该D型连接器和该语音插口组件的泛用框架所设置的主机板上的接地电路上,然后,此接地电路被电连接至接地基台(grounding basis),即设于电脑的金属机壳上。一般来说,接地路径愈短愈好,或是尽可能地接近接地基台,以免干扰信号电路中传送的信号。因此,人们希望能有外加的接地夹片(grounding clip)与相对应的语音插口单元一起使用,以使语音插口单元与电脑机壳的壳板直接靠接在一起,使大部分接地路径不再通过主机板上的接地电路。
本发明的目的在于提供将电器中电连接器接地的方法及其电连接器组件,其将导电接地夹片与电器壳板构成接地路径,并且很容易配接于现有语音插口组件。
本发明的目的是这样实现的,即提供一种将电器中电连接器接地的方法,其中所述电连接器包括至少一接地端子连接至所述电连接器所装设的主机板的接地电路上,此方法包括以下步骤:设置一导电接地夹片,并将所述导电接地夹片附接至所述电连接器上,其中所述接地夹片包括至少一接触用机构与所述电连接器接地端子可靠接触,且还包括一向前及向外凸出啮合根部;使所述啮合根部与所述电器壳板构成接触路径,提供一较短的接地路径以取代所述主机板上的接地电路。
本发明的目的是这样实现的,即提供一种电连接器组件,它包括:一架体,所述架体容纳至少一语音插口,所述语音插口包括一主体及至少一输入/输出埠口,所述语音插口还包括至少一接地端子;一接地夹片,附接至所述语音插口上,所述接地夹片包括至少一接触用机构与所述接地端子接触;及一自所述架体向前凸出的啮合根部。
本发明方法及装置的优点在于,其将外接接地夹片与语音插口单元一齐使用,并通过电脑机壳壳体直接接地,接地路径短,接地可靠,操作便利。
以下结合附图,描述本发明方法及其装置的实施例,其中:
图1为使用本发明方法的电连接器组件实施例的立体分解图;
图2为图1中电连接器组件的部分放大图,分别示出语音插口单元及其所对应的接地夹片及其组装状态;
图3为图1中电连接器组件组装在主机板上的立体图,示出该接地夹片根部自架体开口向外凸出并超出该架体前方表面直接与电脑机壳壳板接触;
图4为与图1中电连接器共用接地夹片的另一实施例;
图5为与图1中电连接器共用接地片第三实施例;
图6为与图1中电连接器共用接地片的第四实施例。
为了清楚起见,在各图中相同的元件以相同的件号标识。请参阅图1至图3,其中一个电连接器组件10包括一个泛用框架或架体12及一个三合一整合式语音插口组件16。其中该架体12由树脂所制成,用于装设一个D型连接器14。如图1所示,此连接器14由一对铆钉18(图中仅示出其中一个)从外部固定至该架体12上,而该语音插口组件16以干涉配合的方式容置并保持在一个由该架体12下方部分所界定的凹穴20中。该架体12、D型连接器14及语音插口组件16的结构可参阅前述审查中的美国专利申请第08/524,333号。
该语音插口组件16包括三个以侧边相连制成的一体的语音插口单元17,每一个语音插口单元17都具有信号端子22及接地端子24,如图2所示。为了增强接地效果,并避免电连接器组件10所设置的主机板100(请参阅图3)上的信号电路因接地信号通过接地端子24及主机板上相对应的接地电路受到过度的干扰,本发明设计出附加的接地夹片26附接于每一个语音插口单元17上。当该接地夹片26与相对应的接地端子24电连接时,位于与该语音插口单元17前方部位相邻接的下方内缩部位25。
请参阅图2,本发明的导电接地夹片26整体为U型截面结构,包括一后壁28、一上壁30及一前壁32,且其具有一对保持脚34自该后壁28向后延伸并呈弯折状,用以分别容置并保持在该语音插口单元17主体15中的相对应槽口36内,同时,该后壁28大致上与该语音插口单元17的主体15的内缩垂直平面11靠贴在一起。一个作为接触机构的弹性指状部38自该后壁28延伸出并呈弯折状,且位于该对保持脚34之间。藉该对保持脚34保持于主体15的槽口36内并把接地夹片26固定至该语音插口单元17主体15上,该弹性指状部38末端39靠贴于该接地端子24上并有效地导电。
请再参阅图2与图3,上壁30靠贴于语音插口单元17主体15的下侧表面19上,且前壁32大体上面对该架体12前方垂直板部42的内面40。换句话说,接地夹片26可以合适地嵌入一个由该架体12前方垂直板部42内面40与该语音插口单元17主体15内缩垂直平面11以及该语音插口单元17主体15下侧表面19所界定的空间44内。一个啮合根部46自该前方垂直板部42中的开口48处向前凸出,实质上也凸出于该前方垂直板部42前方表面49,以与电脑机壳壳板相接触实现有效完好接地。因此,该接地端子24所接收到的任何不希望有的信号均会被传递至该接地夹片26,而不会传至该主机板100上的接地电路;这些信号经很短的接地路径(即接地端子24)被送至接地基台(即前述电脑机壳的壳板,图中未示),如前所述,该啮合根部46与此壳板可靠接触并接地。
应当明白,即使该语音插口单元17主体15整体制成一个单一件,该接地夹片26也可以分别地附接至每一个相对应的语音插口单元17上。在本实施例中,该接地夹片26设计成不仅可以很容易并可靠地固定至该语音插口组件16上,也可以与该语音插口组件16的现有结构完好配合而无须修改其原始设计。换句话说,该接地夹片26利用该电连接器组件10原有未使用的空间及/或结构实现额外的特定功能(即接地)而无须改变原有结构,并提供了较好的接地性能。例如,该接地夹片26可以被容置于原来配置于该语音插口单元17下方内缩部位25内,且其啮合根部46自原来的前方垂直板部42中的开口48处向前凸出,无须对原有结构进行任何改变即可与增加的接地夹片26配合。由图1与图3可以清楚看出,该开口48向下延伸至该架体12底缘47处,让该语音插口单元17的配合埠口29(mating port)向上插入其中,组装后,该接地夹片26的啮合根部46与该语音插口单元17配合埠口29一起自该架体12开口48向外凸出;其中,该语音插口单元17的配合埠口29设置于开口48上方部位,而该啮合根部46设置于该开口48下方部位。
图4显示出本发明接地夹片的另一个实施例,此接地夹片整体标以元件标号50,其中,该后壁52具有较大的连成一体部分54,此连成一体部分54环绕保持脚56。类似于本发明第一实施例,该后壁52整个高度必须不超过该语音插口单元17下方内缩部位25的深度,以使该接地夹片50可以恰当地嵌入于此下方内缩部位25内而让其啮合根部62自该开口48向外凸出。
图5示出本发明接地夹片的第三实施例,该接地夹片整体标以元件标号66,其中,后壁68包括一对保持脚70用来夹住该语音插口单元17肩部72(请参阅图2),以将该接地夹片66固定至该语音插口单元17的主体15上。自前壁76延伸出的啮合根部74也从该语音插口单元17开口48处凸出。此第三实施例与前面两个实施例主要差异在于,在本实施例中,该接地夹片66与该接地端子24接触,藉该接地夹片66的一个浮凸部位67与该接地端子24一顶端部位23相接触,而不象图1中所示利用一个弹性指状部38与该接地端子24末端相接触。
图6示出本发明接地夹片的第四实施例,此接地夹片整体标以元件标号80,其中,此接地夹片80具有一个主要基部82,且主要基部82上带有一个U型切口84,整体可盖住该语音插口单元17的主体15前方垂直表面27(请参阅图2)。一对啮合根部86自该架体12开口48向外凸出。一个弹性指状部88自该啮合根部86边缘向外延伸至邻近该接地端子24的位置,当该啮合根部86为电脑机壳壳板压挤时,该弹性指状部88可以与该接地端子24接触而接地。

Claims (11)

1.一种将电器中电连接器接地的方法,其中所述电连接器包括至少一接地端子连接至所述电连接器所装设的主机板的接地电路上,其特征在于,所述方法包括以下步骤:设置一导电接地夹片,并将所述导电接地夹片附接至所述电连接器上,其中所述接地夹片包括至少一接触用机构与所述电连接器接地端子可靠接触,且还包括一向前及向外凸出啮合根部;使所述啮合根部与所述电器壳板构成接触路径,提供一较短的接地路径以取代所述主机板上的接地电路。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,将所述电连接器由一架体所保持住,所述架体包括一开口用来向上装设所述电连接器,且所述啮合根部延伸通过所述开口靠贴于所述电器壳板上。
3.一种电连接器组件,其特征在于,它包括:一架体,所述架体容纳至少一语音插口,所述语音插口包括一主体及至少一输入/输出埠口,所述语音插口还包括至少一接地端子;一接地夹片,附接至所述语音插口上,所述接地夹片包括至少一接触用机构与所述接地端子接触;及一自所述架体向前凸出的啮合根部。
4.如权利要求3所述的电连接器组件,其特征在于,所述语音插口的所述输入/输出埠口自所述架体前方垂直板部中一开口向前伸出设置于所述开口上方部位,且所述啮合根部设置于所述开口下方部位。
5.如权利要求3所述的电连接器组件,其特征在于,所述语音插口主体包括一邻接于所述主体前方底部处的内缩部位,且所述接地夹片的主要部分相适地容置于所述内缩部位内。
6.如权利要求4所述的电连接器组件,其特征在于,所述接地夹片为一U型截面,包括一靠贴于所述语音插口主体一内缩垂直平面上的后壁;一靠贴于所述语音插口主体一下侧表面上的上壁;及一前壁,其面对所述架体前方垂直板部的内面,所述接地夹片相适地容置在由所述语音插口与所述架体前方垂直板部界定的空间内。
7.如权利要求6所述的电连接器组件,其特征在于,至少一保持脚连成一体地自所述后壁上伸出,容置并保持于所述语音插口主体中的一槽口内地将所述接地夹片固定至所述语音插口上。
8.如权利要求6所述的电连接器组件,其特征在于,所述啮合根部自所述前壁一体地延伸出。
9.如权利要求3所述的电连接器组件,其特征在于,所述接触用机构为一弹性指状部。
10.如权利要求3所述的电连接器组件,其特征在于,所述接地夹片包括至少一夹在所述语音插口主体上一相对应的肩部并将所述接地夹片固定至所述语音插口的U型保持脚。
11.如权利要求4所述的电连接器组件,其特征在于,所述接地夹片具有一主要基部,其具有一U型切口,所述基部整体盖住所述语音插口主体的一前方垂直表面;一对啮合根部,一体地延伸并从所述架体开口向外凸出;及一自所述啮合根部边缘向外延伸至邻近所述接地端子的弹性指状部。
