Accordingly, those skilled in the art will recognize that various modifications and changes may be made to the embodiments described herein without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention.
Fig. 1 shows a screen shot of a prior art showing inventory of goods in a table or web page. The inventory monitoring and the e-commerce website are separated in operation, the display mode is not visual, and the effect is poor.
Specifically, the table shows logistics-related data of a specific commodity in the whole country and in various places (such as shanghai, etc.), including stock in stock, available stock, number of orders available, inward allotment in transit, inward allotment, yesterday sales, 7-day sales, monthly sales, 14-day sales, 28-day sales, 7/28 sales, 60-day sales, 90-day sales, and saleable days.
Generally speaking, the user can obtain the desired information from such a form and take corresponding action. Then, the inventory monitoring is based on a background and is completed manually, so that the efficiency is low and the inventory monitoring is not intuitive enough. The invention provides a technical scheme for visually monitoring commodity inventory in a foreground (such as an e-commerce website) so as to solve the defects.
The DOM parsing is explained first here. The DOM is fully called Document Object Model, the electronic Document Object Model. In an application, a DOM-based XML parser converts an XML document into a set of object models (generally called DOM trees), and the application performs operations on XML document data by operating on the object models. Through the DOM interface, an application can access any part of data in an XML document at any time, and therefore, this mechanism using the DOM interface is also referred to as a random access mechanism.
The DOM interface provides a way to access XML document information through hierarchical object models that form a tree of nodes according to the document structure of XML. Regardless of the type of information described in an XML document, even if tabulated data, a list of items, or a document, the model generated using the DOM is in the form of a tree of nodes. That is, the DOM enforces the use of a tree model to access information in XML documents. This description is quite efficient since XML is inherently a hierarchical structure.
The random access mode provided by the DOM tree brings great flexibility to the development of an application program, and the content in the whole XML document can be controlled arbitrarily. However, because the DOM parser converts the entire XML document into a DOM tree and stores the DOM tree in memory, the DOM parser has a wide range of applications because the idea of the tree structure used by the DOM parser matches the structure of the XML document and because of the convenience of random access.
For the development of XML application, DOM is an objectified XML data interface, a standard interface specification which is independent of language and platform. It defines the logical structure of HTML and XML documents, and provides a method for accessing and processing HTML and XML documents. Using DOM, a program developer can dynamically create documents, traverse document structures, add, modify, delete document content, change the way a document is displayed, and so forth. It can be said that documents represent data, and the DOM represents how to process the data. Applications to the DOM are encountered wherever XML is available, whether in the browser or outside the browser, whether on the server or on the client.
FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating data interaction based on a browser plug-in according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 2, the browser plug-in performs DOM parsing on the specified web page, and uses the probe to capture the target web page element (taking kyoto as an example, href in the target web page element is similar to < a > element of item.
And after the user clicks the Beijing east webpage, refreshing the webpage and loading the browser plug-in. The browser plug-in starts working, DOM is carried out on the appointed webpage, all the target elements are found, and the DOM sends corresponding commodity details to the plug-in. And then the browser plug-in sends a request for inquiring detailed inventory summarization of commodities in batches to the server. The server receives the request of the plug-in, then requests the inventory general view of the goods from the inventory management system, and after receiving the inventory general view of the goods from the inventory management system, the server processes the goods and returns the goods to the plug-in. After the browser plug-in obtains the inventory profile, the browser plug-in performs batch rendering on the DOM of the webpage, and displays the inventory profile in a graphical mode (such as an inventory progress bar). Thus, the user can visually see the inventory overview of all the goods in the web page.
If the user is interested in a particular item and wants to further understand the inventory details, e.g., the inventory of the particular item at various distribution centers, recent sales, number of available sales, etc., as shown in FIG. 1, the user may select (e.g., click on their inventory progress bar) the item. At this time, in response to the selection, the browser plug-in sends a request for inquiring detailed inventory information of the specified goods to the server. And after receiving the request, the server forwards the request to the inventory management system to inquire the detailed inventory information of the specified commodity, and returns the detailed inventory information to the browser plug-in after the detailed inventory information is obtained. The browser plug-in then renders the detailed inventory information for the specified item so that the user can see the detailed inventory information for the specified item in the web page. Also, detailed inventory information of a specified product may be displayed near the inventory progress bar of the product.
