Abstract
The invention relates to a foldable mobile terminal, a folding mechanism and a folding assembly thereof, wherein the folding assembly is applied to the foldable mobile terminal and is used for connecting a first shell and a second shell of the foldable mobile terminal, and the folding assembly comprises a plurality of chain links and a plurality of chain shafts; the chain shafts are connected with two adjacent chain links in sequence, so that the folding assembly is in a chain shape, the chain links at the first end of the folding assembly are used for being connected with the first shell, and the chain links at the second end of the folding assembly are used for being connected with the second shell; among the plurality of chain links, at least one chain link is provided with a waist-shaped hole, the chain shaft is arranged in the waist-shaped hole in a penetrating way, and the chain shaft can rotate and slide in the waist-shaped hole. The folding component can enable the foldable mobile terminal to adapt to the dimensional change generated under different states, and the appearance integrity of the foldable mobile terminal is not damaged.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of electronic devices, and in particular, to a foldable mobile terminal, and a folding mechanism and a folding assembly thereof.
Background
The flexible display screen has the bendable performance, so that the intelligent mobile terminal, such as a smart phone, with the flexible display screen can be switched between the folded state and the unfolded state. The length of the side of the mobile terminal facing the user is equal to that of the side of the mobile terminal facing away from the user in the unfolded state, however, in the folded state, the difference exists between the two sides with the same original length due to the thickness of the mobile terminal, which requires the foldable mobile terminal to adapt to the length difference change of the two sides in different states.
Disclosure of Invention
One technical problem solved by the present invention is how to enable a folding assembly and a folding mechanism to be applied in a foldable mobile terminal to adapt to dimensional changes of opposite sides of the foldable mobile terminal due to its thickness in different states.

A folding assembly applied to a foldable mobile terminal for connecting a first housing and a second housing of the foldable mobile terminal, the folding assembly comprising a plurality of links and a plurality of chain shafts; the chain shafts are connected with two adjacent chain links to enable the folding assembly to be in a chain shape, the chain links at the first end of the folding assembly are used for being connected with the first shell, and the chain links at the second end of the folding assembly are used for being connected with the second shell;
and at least one chain link is provided with a waist-shaped hole, the chain shaft penetrates through the waist-shaped hole, and the chain shaft can rotate and slide in the waist-shaped hole.
In one embodiment, the kidney-shaped aperture is located on at least one of the adjacent two links.
In one embodiment, one of the two adjacent chain links is fixedly connected or rotationally connected with the chain shaft, and the other chain link is rotationally and slidingly connected with the chain shaft through the waist-shaped hole.

Detailed Description
In order that the invention may be readily understood, a more complete description of the invention will be rendered by reference to the appended drawings. Preferred embodiments of the present invention are shown in the drawings. This invention may, however, be embodied in many different forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein. Rather, these embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will be thorough and complete.
Unless defined otherwise, all technical and scientific terms used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art to which this invention belongs. The terminology used herein in the description of the invention is for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only and is not intended to be limiting of the invention. The term "and/or" as used herein includes any and all combinations of one or more of the associated listed items.
As shown in fig. 1, the foldable mobile terminal 10 of an embodiment is a mobile phone, and in other examples, the foldable mobile terminal 10 may be any electronic device including a tablet computer, a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant ), a POS (Point of Sales), a wearable device, and the like. Examples of mobile terminals include, but are not limited to, satellites or cellular telephones. A cellular radiotelephone may be combined with a Personal Communications System (PCS) terminal that is data processing, facsimile and data communications capabilities. May include a radiotelephone, pager, internet/intranet access, web browser, organizer, calendar, and/or PDA of a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver. And conventional laptop and/or palmtop receivers or other electronic devices that include a radiotelephone transceiver.
Referring also to fig. 2 and 3, the foldable mobile terminal 10 includes a flexible display 100 and a folding mechanism 200, the folding mechanism 200 including a first housing 220, a second housing 240, and a folding assembly 260, the first housing 220 and the second housing 240 being configured to house the flexible display 100. In one embodiment, the folding assembly 260 allows the first housing 220 and the second housing 240 to be folded and the flexible display 100 to be on the outside of the foldable mobile terminal 10 when folded. Referring again to fig. 1 and 2, the foldable mobile terminal 10 shown in fig. 1 is in an unfolded state, the foldable mobile terminal 10 shown in fig. 2 is in a folded state, and the first housing 220 and the second housing 240 are symmetrical with respect to the folding assembly 260. In an embodiment, the first housing 220 includes a first front case 222 and a first rear case 224 coupled to each other, and the second housing 240 includes a second front case 242 and a second rear case 244 coupled to each other, connecting the first rear case 224 and the second rear case 244. Specifically, in one embodiment, the folding assembly 260 may be disposed between the first front case 222 and the first rear case 224, and between the second front case 242 and the second rear case 244, and two ends of the folding assembly 260 are respectively connected to the first rear case 224 and the second rear case 244.
Referring simultaneously to fig. 4, 5 and 6, the folding assembly 260 includes a plurality of links 262, 264, 266 and a plurality of chain shafts 268, 272; the plurality of links 262, 264, 266 are arranged in sequence, the chain shafts 268, 272 connect two adjacent links 262, 264, 266, so that the folding assembly 260 is in a chain shape, the links 262 at the first end of the folding assembly 260 are used for connecting the first shell 220, and the links 264 at the second end of the folding assembly 260 are used for connecting the second shell 240; at least one of the links has a waist-shaped hole 274, the chain shafts 268, 272 are disposed through the waist-shaped hole 274, and the chain shafts 268, 272 are capable of rotating and sliding in the waist-shaped hole 274.
Referring to fig. 4 to 6, in the unfolded state, the chain shaft 268 is located at one end of the waist-shaped hole 274, and referring to fig. 7 and 8, in the folded state, the chain shaft 268 is located at the other end of the waist-shaped hole 274, and during the switching between the unfolded state and the folded state, the chain shaft 268 rotates within the waist-shaped hole 274 and slides from one end to the other end of the waist-shaped hole 274, so that the overall length of the folding assembly 260 is changed during the switching, and the first housing 220 and the second housing 240 can be adapted to the difference in length generated during the switching between the unfolded state and the folded state. And thus the foldable mobile terminal 10 can be adapted to dimensional changes generated in different states without damaging the external integrity of the foldable mobile terminal 10.
The waist-shaped holes 274 are formed on one of the plurality of chain links, so that the overall length of the folding assembly 260 can be changed in the switching process, and of course, the waist-shaped holes 274 are formed on the plurality of chain links, so that the overall length of the folding assembly 260 can be changed, and the size change of the folding mobile terminal 10 in different states can be better adapted. At the same time, the length variation is shared among the various waist-shaped apertures 274, facilitating improved stability of movement. In one embodiment, the waist-shaped hole 274 is positioned on at least one of the two adjacent links, and a length change can be generated at the connection between each link and the link, so that the folding assembly 260 has better stability and can generate a relatively large length change.
In one embodiment, one of the two adjacent links is fixedly or rotatably connected to the chain axle, and the other link is rotatably and slidably connected to the chain axle through the kidney-shaped hole 274. At the junction of two chain links, only one chain link can slide relative to the chain shaft, and the chain shaft is convenient to install and position, and the stability of motion is better.
Referring also to fig. 9-14, in one embodiment, a plurality of the links includes a first link 262, a second link 264, and an intermediate link 266, the first link 262 for connecting the first housing 220 and the second link 264 for connecting the second housing 240; referring again to fig. 6, the plurality of chain shafts includes a first chain shaft 268 and a second chain shaft 272, the first chain shaft 268 connecting the first link 262 and the intermediate link 266, the second chain shaft 272 connecting the second link 264 and the intermediate link 266. Further, in an embodiment, the kidney-shaped aperture 274 is located on the first link 262 and the intermediate link 266; the first chain shaft 268 is fixedly connected or rotatably connected with the intermediate link 266, and the first chain shaft 268 is arranged through the waist-shaped hole 274 on the first link 262; the second chain axle 272 is fixedly connected or rotatably connected with the second chain link 264, and the second chain axle 272 is disposed through the waist-shaped hole 274 on the intermediate link 266.
The links 262, 264, 266 are fixedly or rotatably coupled to the links 268, 272 by engaging the links 268, 272 with the circular holes 276. Specifically, in an embodiment, the intermediate link 266 and the second link are both provided with a circular hole 276, the first chain shaft 268 is disposed through the circular hole 276 of the intermediate link 266, and the second chain shaft 272 is disposed through the circular hole 276 of the second link 264. The circular hole 276 is in close fit with the chain shafts 268, 272 to achieve a fixed connection, and the circular hole 276 is in rotational fit with the chain shafts 268, 272 to achieve a rotational connection. In other embodiments, the links 262, 264, 266 may be fixedly connected to the chain shafts 268, 272 by other means, and in the embodiment shown in fig. 15 to 25, two adjacent links, one of which is integrally fixedly connected to the chain shaft and the other of which is rotatably and slidably connected to the chain shaft through the waist-shaped hole 274. The chain links and the chain shaft can be of an integrally formed structure, and the chain links and the chain shaft can be made of metal or plastic.
The embodiments shown in fig. 4 to 25 are all three links 262, 264, 266, wherein the middle link can be kept in the middle position with good symmetry. Referring to fig. 26 and 27, the number of links may be greater. Specifically, in one embodiment, the number of intermediate links 266 is plural, and the plurality of chain shafts further includes an intermediate chain shaft 278, and the intermediate chain shaft 278 connects two adjacent intermediate links 266. In the embodiment shown in fig. 26 and 27, the total number of links is 5, with the number of intermediate links 266 being 3.
For better control of fold stability and symmetry, in one embodiment, each of the intermediate links 266 corresponds to one of the kidney holes 274. In one embodiment, each intermediate link 266 is fixedly coupled to a chain axle. During folding or unfolding, the intermediate links 266 move relative to only one chain axle, with greater reliability of relative movement.
Referring to fig. 28, in an embodiment, the number of the folding assemblies 260 may be multiple, and multiple groups of the folding assemblies 260 are arranged in parallel, and the chain shafts of two adjacent groups of the folding assemblies 260 are fixedly connected correspondingly. The plurality of sets of folding assemblies 260 may provide better support for other portions of the foldable mobile terminal 10. In an embodiment, the plurality of chain shafts fixedly connected with each other may be one long chain shaft integrally formed, so that the assembly is convenient, and the structure is more stable.
The technical features of the above-described embodiments may be arbitrarily combined, and all possible combinations of the technical features in the above-described embodiments are not described for brevity of description, however, as long as there is no contradiction between the combinations of the technical features, they should be considered as the scope of the description.

Claims (13)
1. A folding assembly applied to a foldable mobile terminal for connecting a first housing and a second housing of the foldable mobile terminal, wherein the folding assembly comprises a plurality of links and a plurality of chain shafts; the chain shafts are connected with two adjacent chain links to enable the folding assembly to be in a chain shape, the chain links comprise a first chain link, a second chain link and a middle chain link, the first chain link is used for being connected with the first shell, the second chain link is used for being connected with the second shell, and the first chain link and the second chain link are respectively connected with two ends of the middle chain link;
the folding assembly comprises a folding assembly, a plurality of chain links, a chain shaft, a plurality of first chain links and a second chain links, wherein at least one of the chain links is provided with a waist-shaped hole, the chain shaft penetrates through the waist-shaped hole, the length direction of the waist-shaped hole is identical to the length direction of the plurality of chain links when the folding assembly is in an unfolding state, the chain shaft is positioned at one end of the waist-shaped hole, the first chain links and the second chain links in the plurality of chain links are not contacted with each other, and in the switching process of the unfolding state and the folding state, the chain shaft rotates in the waist-shaped hole and slides from one end of the waist-shaped hole to the other end of the waist-shaped hole to enable the first chain links and the second chain links to be contacted with each other.
2. The folding assembly of claim 1 wherein said kidney aperture is located on at least one of two adjacent links.
3. The folding assembly of claim 1 wherein one of said links is fixedly or rotatably connected to said sprocket shaft and the other of said links is rotatably and slidably connected to said sprocket shaft through said kidney-shaped aperture.
4. The folding assembly of claim 1, wherein one of two adjacent links is fixedly connected integrally with the sprocket shaft and the other link is rotatably and slidably connected to the sprocket shaft through the kidney-shaped hole.
5. The folding assembly of claim 1, wherein the plurality of chain shafts includes a first chain shaft connecting the first link and the intermediate link and a second chain shaft connecting the second link and the intermediate link.
6. The folding assembly of claim 5, wherein the kidney apertures are located on the first link and the intermediate link;
the first chain shaft is fixedly connected or rotationally connected with the middle chain link, and the first chain shaft penetrates through the waist-shaped hole on the first chain link;
the second chain shaft is fixedly connected or rotationally connected with the second chain link, and the second chain shaft penetrates through the waist-shaped hole in the middle chain link.
7. The folding assembly of claim 6, wherein the intermediate link and the second link are each provided with a circular hole, the first link shaft is disposed through the circular hole of the intermediate link, and the second link shaft is disposed through the circular hole of the second link.
8. The folding assembly of claim 5, wherein the number of intermediate links is a plurality, and wherein the plurality of chain shafts further comprises an intermediate chain shaft connecting adjacent two of the intermediate links.
9. The folding assembly of claim 8, wherein each of said intermediate links corresponds to one of said kidney holes.
10. A folding mechanism applied to a foldable mobile terminal and used for setting a flexible display screen, the folding mechanism comprises a first shell and a second shell, and the folding mechanism further comprises a folding assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 9, and two ends of the folding assembly are respectively connected with the first shell and the second shell.
11. The folding mechanism of claim 10, wherein the number of folding assemblies is multiple, and multiple groups of folding assemblies are arranged in parallel, and the chain shafts of two adjacent groups of folding assemblies are fixedly connected correspondingly.
12. The folding mechanism of claim 10, wherein the first housing comprises a first front shell and a first rear shell coupled to each other, the second housing comprises a second front shell and a second rear shell coupled to each other, and the folding assembly connects the first rear shell and the second rear shell.
13. A foldable mobile terminal comprising a flexible display screen disposed on the first and second housings and a folding mechanism according to any one of claims 10 to 12, the folding mechanism making the first and second housings foldable and the flexible display screen being on the outside of the foldable mobile terminal when folded.
