Example one

The side key 3 includes an annular side wall 31, and an end cap 32 provided at one end of the annular side wall 31. Thus, the structure of the side key 3 can be simplified, the processing and manufacturing cost can be reduced, and the side key 3 can be conveniently adhered to the elastic body 2 through the adhesive. The junction of the annular sidewall 31 and the end cap 32 may be rounded or beveled to reduce the likelihood of a user scratching the junction of the annular sidewall 31 and the end cap 32. The width (direction from the side key region 21 to the boundary of the elastic body 2) and the thickness (direction perpendicular to the elastic body 2) of the extension region 22 can be specifically set as required. The thickness of the adhesive can also be specifically set as required. In one example, since the stroke of the side key 3 is generally between 0.1-0.2mm, and in view of reducing the space occupied by the side key waterproof device 200 in the housing 1, the width of the extension 22 may be approximately between 0.2-0.4mm, the thickness of the extension 22 may be approximately between 0.1-0.15mm, and the thickness of the adhesive may be approximately between 0.05-0.1 mm.
The side key region 21 may have a cross-sectional area larger than that of the side key installation hole. In general, the cross-sectional area of the side key 3 is smaller than that of the side key mounting hole, and therefore, the cross-sectional area of the side key region 21 may be larger than that of the side key mounting hole, in other words, when the side key 3 is mounted in the side key region 21, a gap is left between the side key 3 and the extension region 22. Therefore, when the side key 3 is pressed, the resistance of the viscose to the deformation of the elastic body 2 can be reduced, and the user experience is improved; and damage to the adhesive can be reduced, thereby reducing the possibility of the elastic body 2 being detached from the housing 1.
The thickness of the side keypad 21 may be smaller than that of the extension area 22 and the front surface (the side where the side keys 3 are disposed) of the side keypad 21 is recessed. When the thickness of the side key region 21 is smaller than that of the extension region 22, the deformation degree of the side key region 21 can be increased, and the deformation degree of the extension region 22 can be reduced, so that the possibility that the elastic body 2 is separated from the housing 1 can be further reduced. The front surface of the side keypad 21 is concave, so that the possibility that the side keypad 21 is adhered to the housing 1 by glue can be reduced. The back surface (the side opposite to the front surface) of the side key region 21 may be flush with the back surface of the extension region 22 to facilitate processing of the elastic body 2. The thickness of the side keypad 21 can be specifically set according to the requirement. In one example, the side keypad 21 has a thickness between 0.05-0.07 mm.
In addition, as shown in fig. 5, the elastic body 2 may further include a boss 23 disposed at the rear of the side key region 21 to facilitate contact with the side key switch 5 of the mobile terminal 100. In order to reduce the feeling of thickness when the side key 3 is pressed and improve the comfort when the side key 3 is pressed, the boss 23 is located within a range surrounded by the annular side wall 31, in other words, the cross-sectional area of the boss 23 is smaller than the cross-sectional area of the annular side wall 31, and the outer edge of the boss 23 does not exceed the edge of the annular side wall 31 in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the annular side wall 31.
Further, as shown in fig. 6, a sealing ring 24 surrounding the side keys 3 may be provided on the front surface of the side key region 21. When the side key waterproof device 200 is installed in the mobile terminal 100, the sealing ring 24 extends to a gap position between the side key 3 and the inner wall of the housing 1 to reduce the possibility that liquid such as water enters the concave position of the side key region 21, thereby reducing the possibility that the viscose is soaked by water and loses efficacy.
Example two
The difference between the second embodiment and the first embodiment is that the annular pressure plate for pressing the extension area is arranged on the inner wall of the shell, and the installation firmness of the annular pressure plate is high. In any of the above embodiments, the side key 3 of the side key waterproof device 200 may be a sound key or a power key. In the case of the sound key, the sound increasing key portion and the sound decreasing key portion of the sound key share one elastic body. The elastic body can be provided with two side key regions, one side key region is arranged corresponding to the sound increasing key part, and the other key region is arranged corresponding to the sound reducing key part; a side keypad may also be provided. The elastic body 2 may be provided with two bosses, one boss corresponding to the sound increasing key portion and one boss corresponding to the sound decreasing key portion.
The mobile terminal 100 of the present application includes a case 1 and a side key waterproof device 200 disposed in the case 1. In this mobile terminal 100, the extension region 22 of the elastic body 2 is provided on the inner wall of the housing 1, and the elastic body 2 is sealed by the sealing body 4 provided between the extension region 22 and the housing 1, so that sealing of the mobile terminal 100 at the installation position of the side key waterproof device 200 can be achieved. When the sealing is realized by the elastic body 2 and the sealing body 4, the extension area 22 of the elastic body 2 is positioned on the inner wall of the shell 1, so that a containing groove and the like do not need to be formed on the shell 1, and the structure of the shell 1 can be simplified.
The thickness H (shown in fig. 5) of the elastic body 2 is greater than the distance between the side key switch 5 of the mobile terminal 100 and the case 1. Because the elastic body 2 has elasticity, the key stroke direction can allow a small amount of interference without influencing the side key switch 5, and simultaneously, the hand feeling when the side key 3 is pressed can be increased, and the product yield is increased.
The elastic body can abut against a bracket for arranging the side key switch so as to further improve the fixing firmness of the elastic body.

the elastic body comprises a side key area for installing the side key and an extension area which is connected with the side key area in a sealing mode, wherein the extension area is used for being arranged on the inner wall of the shell and surrounding the side key installation hole; and
the sealing body is arranged on the inner wall of the shell and used for sealing a gap between the extension area and the shell;
the thickness of the elastic body in the side key area is smaller than that in the extension area, and the front surface of the side key area is concave; a sealing ring surrounding the side key is arranged at the concave part of the side key area, wherein the sealing ring blocks a gap between the side key and the side key mounting hole;
the main body of the elastic body is of a plate-shaped structure, the side key comprises an annular side wall with one end adhered to the side key area and an end cover arranged at the other end of the annular side wall, and the side key is adhered to the elastic body;
the waterproof device further comprises a pressing plate, and the pressing plate is used for pressing the extension area.
2. The side key waterproof device according to claim 1, wherein the sealing body is an adhesive provided between the extension section and the housing, wherein the extension section is provided on an inner wall of the housing by the adhesive.
