Description
Technical Field
The present application relates to the field of media, and in particular, to a recording management method and system.
Background
A Network Personal Video Recorder (NPVR) service can be provided in a multimedia service system such as an Internet Protocol Television (IPTV), and a terminal can record and store an interested program content on a Content Delivery Network (CDN) node through the NPVR service. When a terminal user needs to order the NPVR content, the user terminal needs to access the CDN system to obtain the position of the recorded content on the CDN node, and then the user terminal obtains the recorded content on the CDN node. . Compared with the traditional video recording service, the NPVR stores the recorded content on a set-top box (STB) side, reduces the operation and maintenance cost and price of the STB, improves the use experience of an end user, and enables the user to manage free network space, for example, an operator can package the network space into products, the price of the products is 10 dollars per month for 100GB space, or 10 dollars per month for 100 hours of recording time, and after the end user orders the set of meal packages, 100GB or 100 hours of recording tasks can be created.
In the prior art, a terminal user can create an NPVR task for a program which is being played or played in the future, once the created scheduled NPVR task is successful, even if the task is not started, the space of the scheduled NPVR task can be pre-occupied, and the processing can ensure that the space of the scheduled NPVR task is enough and the task cannot cause the problem of recording failure due to insufficient space.
The reservation recording method used in the prior art reserves space in advance for tasks to be started in the future, which results in that the number of recorded tasks created by a user is reduced, when the space is insufficient, the user can only delete the recorded tasks to release the space for the newly-added reservation tasks, and in the worst case, if the user creates reservation tasks, the user must sacrifice part of the reservation tasks to ensure the success of the tasks, for example, the user wants to record the name of people in a series drama, which plays two episodes every day, wherein each episode occupies 1GB space. Assuming that the current day is monday, the user wants to reserve and record programs of 7 days from monday to sunday, that is, 14 episodes, and the user has only 10GB of space in total, the user can only reserve and record programs of monday to friday on the current day, wait until saturday to delete the previously recorded programs, reserve and repeat programs of saturday to next wednesday in sequence until the series is over.
The following is an example of the total space ordered by the user, the used space (the space occupied by the task that was in the middle of recording and successfully recorded) and the reserved space (the space occupied by the task that was not started):
1. the total space ordered by the user is 10GB space;
2. the used space is 6 GB;
3. the reservation space is 3 GB.
The user remaining space is 1 GB. The current time is 2016.12.2310: 00:00, the user creates a reservation task that starts taking 2GB 2016.12.2500: 00:00, and the user must delete some tasks due to insufficient space remaining.
In the existing scheme, the network space is completely managed by a user, and the user must prepare sufficient space in advance to start recording, so that the user experience is poor.

The embodiment of the present invention can be applied to a network architecture as shown in fig. 1, in which a user can connect to a recording management system for a new scheduled recording task through a user terminal (e.g., a set-top box, a personal computer, a notebook computer, a tablet computer, a mobile phone, etc.). The user terminal is responsible for receiving an instruction sent by a user, if the user needs to add a recording task, a reservation request of the recording task is input to the user terminal, then the user terminal sends the reservation request to the recording management system through a network, and the recording management system determines whether the recording task is added successfully or not according to a deletion strategy of the recording task and a calculation module after receiving the reservation request.
Referring to fig. 2, an embodiment of a recording management method according to an embodiment of the present invention includes:
201. and receiving a reservation request of a target recording task sent by a user terminal.
In this embodiment, when a user wants to add a new recording task, a reservation request of a target recording task is sent to the recording management system through the user terminal, where the reservation request of the target recording task sent by the user carries a storage space required by the target recording task.
The storage space required by the target recording task carried in the reservation request of the target recording task can be determined by the start recording time and the end recording time of the target recording task, that is, a user can input the start recording time and the end recording time of the target recording task through an input interface of a user terminal, so that the user terminal or a recording management system judges the storage space expected to be occupied by the target recording task according to the start recording time and the end recording time of the target recording task, for example, the program time is 1 hour, the code rate is 3Mbps, and the space is 3 × 3600/8/1024 — 1.3 GB.
202. And determining whether the residual storage space of the user meets the required storage space of the target recording task, if not, executing the step 203, and if so, executing the step 205.
In this embodiment, after receiving a reservation request of a target recording task sent by a user terminal, the recording management system may determine that the remaining storage space of the user cannot meet the storage space required by the target recording task.
It should be noted that, the method for the recording management system to determine the remaining storage space of the user may be: the recording management system firstly obtains the total space ordered by the user, and then subtracts the used space of the user from the total space to obtain the remaining storage space of the user, namely alpha x-beta, wherein alpha represents the remaining storage space of the user, x represents the total space ordered by the user, and beta represents the used space of the user. The used space of the user comprises a space occupied by the recording task recorded by the user and a space occupied by the recording task reserved successfully by the user.
203. And determining the storage space of the deletable recording task according to the type of the recorded task.
In this embodiment, when the recording management system determines that the remaining storage space of the user cannot meet the required storage space of the target recording task, the storage space of the deletable recording task may be determined according to the type of the recorded task, where the type of the recorded task includes a watched recording task and an unviewed recording task, the watched recording task is a deletable recording task, and the unviewed recording task is an unviewed recording task.
It should be noted that, when a user requests a recorded task through a user terminal, the recording management system marks a watched mark on the recorded task requested by the user, so that the recording management system distinguishes a watched recording task from an unviewed recording task.
The deletable recording task mentioned in this embodiment is a recording task that can be automatically deleted by the recording management system.
204. And determining whether the storage space of the deletable recording task and the residual storage space of the user meet the required storage space of the target recording task, if so, executing the step 205, and if not, executing the step 206.
In this embodiment, after the recording management system obtains the storage space of the deletable recording task and the remaining storage space of the user, it is determined whether the storage space of the deletable recording task and the remaining storage space of the user satisfy the storage space required by the target recording task according to the storage space of the deletable recording task and the remaining storage space of the user.
It should be noted that, when the recording management system determines that the sum of the storage space of the deletable recording task and the remaining storage space of the user is not less than the required storage space of the target recording task, it determines that the storage space of the deletable recording task and the remaining storage space of the user satisfy the required storage space of the target recording task, and otherwise, it determines that the sum is not satisfied. That is, α + -, where α represents the remaining storage space of the user, represents the storage space of the deletable recording task, and Φ represents the predicted available space, whenThen the recording management system determines that the predicted available space satisfies the required storage space of the target recording task, and when the predicted available space satisfies the required storage space of the target recording taskThen the recording management system determines that the predicted available space does not satisfy the required storage space for the target recording task, wherein, representing the required storage space for the target recording task.

603. And determining the storage space of the deletable recording task according to the deletion strategy of the recording task of the user.
In this embodiment, when the recording management system determines that the remaining storage space of the user cannot meet the required storage space of the target recording task, the recording management system determines the storage space of the deletable recording task according to a deletion policy of the recording task of the user, where the deletion policy of the recording task includes: a deletion strategy of a recorded recording task, a deletion strategy of a recording task which has been successfully reserved and/or a deletion strategy of a target recording task.
When the recording management system determines that the target recording task is a deletable recording task according to the target deletion strategy, the recording management system determines the deletable storage space of the recording task according to the storage space corresponding to the deletable recording task of which the recording time is earlier than the start time and the storage space corresponding to all the recording tasks of which the recording time is later than the start time, and the deletable storage space of the recording task can be expressed as: η + κ, where η denotes a storage space corresponding to a deletable recording task whose recording time is earlier than the start time, and κ denotes a storage space corresponding to all recording tasks whose recording time is later than the start time.
When the recording management system determines that the target recording task is an undeletable recording task according to the target deletion strategy, the recording management system determines the storage space of the deletable recording task according to the storage space corresponding to the deletable recording task of which the recording time is earlier than the starting time. That is, the storage space of the recording task that can be deleted at this time: η, where η represents a storage space corresponding to a deletable recording task whose recording time is earlier than the start time. .
The deletable recording task mentioned in this embodiment is a recording task that can be automatically deleted by the recording management system.

NPVR recording task | Occupied space | Whether or not it can be automatically deleted | Recording start time |
Task A | 4GB | Can be used for | 2016.12.01 18:00:00 |
Task B | 4GB | Cannot (9) | 2016.12.04 18:00:00 |
Scene one: the user adds a recording task C which starts to record at 2016.12.0118: 00:00, the recording task occupies 3GB, and the user sets the recording task to be automatically deleted, although the sum of the used space and the required space of the new recording task exceeds 10GB, because the task A can be automatically deleted before the new recording task starts to record, the recording space is enough when the new recording task C formally starts to record, so the new recording task C is successfully added.
Scene two: the user adds a recording task D which starts to record at 2016.11.3022: 00:00, the recording task occupies 3GB, and the user sets that the recording task cannot be automatically deleted, at the moment, the task space occupies more than 10GB, but because the recording task D cannot be automatically deleted, if the recording task D is successfully added, the recording task D which is successfully added later is insufficient, so the new addition of the recording task D fails.
Scene three: the user adds a recording task E which starts to record at 2016.11.3022: 00:00, the recording task occupies 3GB, and the user sets the recording task to be automatically deleted, at this moment, the task space occupies more than 10GB, but because the recording task E can be automatically deleted, if the recording task E is successfully added, the recording task E is automatically deleted before the recording task which is successfully added later starts to record, so the recording task E is successfully added.
Scene four: the user adds a series of series episodes, each episode occupies 2GB at a fixed time point every day, the first episode is 2016.12.0520: 00:00, the user sets the series of the series episodes as a deletable recording task, and the user can also set the storage space to be full and automatically delete the previous episode of the series episodes. All subsets of the series of episodes may be booked successfully, as each episode may at least be automatically deleted before it is started.
604. And determining whether the storage space of the deletable recording task and the residual storage space of the user meet the required storage space of the target recording task, if so, executing step 605, and if not, executing step 606.
605. And returning a target recording task reservation success response to the user terminal.
606. And returning a reservation failure response of the recording task to the user terminal.
607. And receiving a checking and deleting strategy instruction sent by the user terminal.
608. And sending a deletion strategy feedback instruction to the user terminal according to the deletion strategy checking instruction. .
609. And determining whether the residual storage space of the user meets the required storage space of the target recording task, if not, executing the step 610, and if so, not executing the step 610.
610. Deleting the deletable recording task at the deletion time.
In this embodiment, steps 604 to 610 are similar to steps 204 to 210 in fig. 2, and are not described herein again.
