Abstract
The invention relates to a chat room configuration method and a chat room system adaptive to the number of people in a room, and belongs to the field of network chat. When an access request exists in a chat room, configuration information of the chat room is obtained, wherein the configuration information of the chat room comprises whether the chat room is configured with a chat server or not; if the chat room is configured with the chat server, the chat room is configured to the configured chat server, and the incoming request is distributed to the configured chat server of the chat room. The invention can realize the self-adaptive matching of the chat server and the online number of the chat room, optimize the configuration of the chat server and improve the utilization of the resources of the chat server.

Technical Field

Background
With the development of internet technology, various chat rooms are getting more and more fierce, such as a main broadcasting chat room, the number of real-time online people can reach hundreds of thousands of people, even millions of people, and other chat rooms are provided; for example, in a real-time fighting chat room, due to the limitation of the number of microphone paths, people cannot hear the room because too many people speak, so that the number of people on line at the same time generally does not exceed ten people. For large room chat rooms such as anchor chat rooms, processing power exceeds the limits of a single server process, thus requiring multiple servers to process, while for small room chat rooms such as real-time matchroom, one server is sufficient to process.
In the prior art, in the scheme for configuring the chat room server, some chat room rooms are configured to be large rooms or small rooms through fixed parameters, and corresponding servers are selected for serving, the chat rooms correspond to the servers, for the small rooms, one server is configured for serving each small room, data information is processed in one server, the strategy is simple and effective, and particularly the timeliness of voice interaction is good; however, in a large room, if the number of people is very small, the resource of the server may be wasted.
At present, the number of the on-line people in each chat room is also open, a plurality of servers are required to be configured in order to meet the number of hundreds of thousands or even millions of people, but in the actual use process, the number of the on-line people in each chat room is uncertain, and can be many people or several people; if a user uses an open chat room to do a real-time chat room for only a few people in wartime, in such a case, the people who chat may be allocated to different servers, increasing the steps of interaction between the servers, resulting in a waste of server resources.
Current chat rooms therefore require an optimized server configuration to adapt to the number of chat rooms.

In view of the above, the present invention is directed to overcome the shortcomings of the prior art, and provides a chat room configuration method and a chat room system for adapting to the number of people in a chat room by optimizing the configuration of a chat server.

In one embodiment of the invention, when an entry request exists in a chat room, configuration information of the chat room is obtained, wherein the configuration information of the chat room comprises whether the chat room is configured with a chat server or not; if the chat room is configured with the chat server, the chat room is configured to the configured chat server, and the incoming request is distributed to the configured chat server of the chat room.

Under the condition that the chat room is not configured with the chat server, in the actual execution process, the phenomenon that a plurality of users simultaneously request to enter the same chat room may occur, namely concurrent access requests of the chat room, and for the condition that concurrent requests occur, in order to prevent a chatting person from being possibly allocated to different servers, the interaction steps among the servers are increased, so that the waste of server resources is caused. The invention provides a preferable embodiment scheme as follows:
if the chat room is not configured with the chat server, when the request for entering the chat room is a concurrent request for entering, configuring a new chat server for the chat room with the concurrent request for entering.
According to the scheme, each chat room which is not provided with the chat server is provided with a single chat server when being configured for the first time, so that the problem that a plurality of users are possibly distributed to different chat servers when simultaneously requesting to enter is solved.
For the chat room which is not configured with the chat server, after the chat room is configured for the first time, the chat room is changed into the state of being configured with the chat server, and for the chat room which is configured with the chat server, when the chat room is configured again, the situation that the online number of the chat server which is configured for the first time is full can occur, and based on the situation, the invention also provides the following steps:

According to the scheme, in the configurable chat servers, from the aspect of the number of online people or the CPU occupancy rate, the chat servers with the optimal performance are allocated to the chat rooms, so that configuration optimization and reasonable application of chat server resources are realized.
When the chat room is configured with the chat server, the incoming request is also allocated to the chat server, for the one-to-one configuration between the chat room and the chat server, if the chat server is not configured before the chat room, a one-to-one configuration between the chat room and the chat server is formed after a new chat server is configured, or for example, although the chat room is configured with the chat server, only one chat server is configured, in this case, a one-to-one configuration between the chat room and the chat server also occurs. In the case of a one-to-one configuration between a chat room and a chat server, incoming requests are directly distributed to the chat server.
For a chat room which is configured with a plurality of chat servers, an incoming request is distributed to one of the plurality of chat servers, a simple scheme is randomly distributed to any one of the plurality of chat servers, but the scheme is not a preferred scheme and has uncertainty in performance, and the following preferred embodiments are provided for the invention:
as a preferred embodiment, after the chat room is configured to the configured chat servers, if there are a plurality of chat servers configured to the chat room, and there is an entry request in the chat room, the number of online people of each chat server is obtained by traversing, and the entry request is distributed to the chat server with the least number of online people.
The embodiment is based on the performance aspect of the server, and the configuration optimization is carried out through the online population of the server so as to realize reasonable application of chat server resources.

Through the scheme, the configured number threshold of the chatting room is set, the configured number threshold can be set according to specific needs of users, for example, the configured number threshold is set to be ten, and when the number of people requesting to enter is within ten, the ten people are all distributed to the same chatting server. The method can avoid the scattered configuration which can occur when the number of the entering requests is less, and the situation that two chat servers are configured can occur when the number of the persons which can be distributed by one chat server is less than ten.
