The gear chamber makes the drive train more compact and reduces the length of the machine body.

The invention relates to the field of engines, in particular to a gear chamber.
Background
The basic function of a conventional gear chamber cover is to keep the inside of the gear chamber clean and prevent dirt from entering. Meanwhile, the sealing function is achieved, and lubricating oil in the gear chamber is prevented from exuding. With increasing demands for miniaturization, light weight, high integration, NVH, external appearance, etc. of engines, particularly for V-type engines, gear chamber covers are required to meet the demands for miniaturization, light weight, multi-functional integration due to limitations in structure and arrangement. The basic function of conventional gear chamber covers has far from satisfying the development of engines.

Preferably, the gear chamber shell on one side of the bearing mounting hole is provided with a protruding part, the protruding part is provided with a mounting end face, the mounting end face is provided with an inner concave cavity, the mounting end face is provided with a water pump cover, and the water pump cover and the inner concave cavity enclose a water pump cavity.
Preferably, the water pump shaft passes through the bulge, and a water seal is arranged on the water pump shaft passing through the bulge.
Preferably, the water pump shaft is arranged in the bearing mounting hole through a bearing, and oil seals are respectively arranged on the water pump shafts at two ends of the bearing.

Compared with the prior art, the invention has the following beneficial effects: the traditional water pump driving mode is changed by arranging the water pump gear on the water pump shaft, namely, the water pump is driven to work by the crank gear. Meanwhile, the water pump belt pulley synchronously rotates along with the water pump gear, the water pump belt pulley can be used as a power source for driving accessories by a belt, a crank pulley can be omitted, a belt transmission system can be more compact, and the length of a machine body is reduced.

As shown in fig. 1 to 6, a gear chamber according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a gear chamber housing 1 and a water pump assembly, wherein a crank gear 13 is installed in the gear chamber housing 1, a bearing mounting hole 101 (see fig. 6) is provided along a width direction of the gear chamber housing 1, a water pump housing is integrated in the gear chamber housing 1 at one side of the bearing mounting hole 101, and a water pump chamber b (see fig. 3) is provided in the water pump housing. The water pump assembly comprises a water pump shaft 21, a water pump impeller 23, a water pump gear 24 and a water pump belt pulley 25, wherein the water pump shaft 21 is arranged in a bearing mounting hole 101 transversely across the gear chamber shell 1, the water pump impeller 23 is arranged at one end of the water pump shaft 21, the water pump impeller 23 stretches into the water pump shell, the water pump gear 24 is arranged on the water pump shaft 21, the water pump gear 24 is driven by a crank gear 13 through a gear (in the embodiment, the crank gear 13 is driven by a machine body idler gear 14 and the water pump idler gear 15, the machine body idler gear 14 is arranged on the machine body, the water pump idler gear 15 is arranged on the gear chamber shell 1), the water pump belt pulley 25 is connected to the other end of the water pump shaft 21, the water pump belt pulley 25 is arranged on the outer side of the gear chamber shell 1, and the water pump belt pulley 25 is used as a power source for driving accessory belt pulleys.
As a preferred embodiment, the gear chamber housing 1 on one side of the bearing mounting hole 101 is provided with a protruding portion 102 (see fig. 6), the protruding portion 102 is provided with a mounting end surface having an inner cavity thereon, the mounting end surface is provided with a water pump cover 11, and the water pump cover 11 and the inner cavity enclose a water pump cavity b.
As a preferred embodiment, the water pump shaft 21 passes through the protrusion 102, and a water seal is provided on the water pump shaft 21 passing through the protrusion 102.
As a preferred embodiment, the water pump shaft 21 is mounted in the bearing mounting hole 101 through the bearing 22, and oil seals are respectively provided on the water pump shaft 21 at both ends of the bearing 22.
As a preferred embodiment, a gap is formed between the oil seal and the water seal near one side of the water seal, and the protrusion 102 is provided with a drain hole 16 communicating with the gap.
As a preferred embodiment, the outer side of the water pump cover 11 is provided with a body water inlet 111, and the body water inlet 11 is communicated with the water outlet end of the water pump cavity b.

As a preferred embodiment, a water inlet port 5 of a water pump is arranged on a gear chamber shell on one side of a water pump belt pulley 24, the water inlet port 5 of the water pump is communicated with a water pump cavity b through the gear chamber shell 1, a water return port 7 of the water pump is arranged at the top of the gear chamber shell 1, a thermostat is arranged on the gear chamber shell 1 on the other side of the water pump belt pulley 25, a large circulation water outlet 6 is arranged on the gear chamber shell 1 on the other side of the thermostat, the large circulation water outlet 6 is communicated with the water pump cavity b through a radiator, a small circulation water inlet of the thermostat is communicated with the water pump shell b through the water pump shell, and the thermostat is used for regulating cooling water from the water return port 7 of the water pump to enter the large circulation water outlet 6 or enter the water pump cavity through the small circulation water inlet.
With reference to fig. 3, the working principle of the water pump and the temperature regulator of the present embodiment is described as follows:
cooling water of the water tank of the engine body enters the water inlet connector 5 of the water pump through the connecting pipe, the cooling water enters the water pump cavity b from the area a through the water inlet connector 5 of the water pump, and then the cooling water enters the engine after flowing out of the water inlet 111 of the engine body through the rotation, pressurization and acceleration of the water pump impeller 23. The water after the engine is cooled enters the thermostat seat from the area e through the body water return port 7, the small circulation flows into the water pump cavity b from the area c, and the large circulation flows out of the large circulation water outlet 6 from the area d and enters the radiator.
In addition, the gear chamber of the present embodiment may also integrate the oil pump mounting boss 3, the camshaft sensor mounting boss 4, the motor housing mounting boss 8, and the steering pump mounting boss 9.
In summary, in the gear chamber of the embodiment, the conventional driving mode of the water pump is changed by arranging the water pump gear on the water pump shaft, that is, the water pump is driven to work by the crank gear. Meanwhile, the water pump belt pulley synchronously rotates along with the water pump gear, the water pump belt pulley can be used as a power source for driving accessories by using a belt, the traditional mode is that the crank belt pulley is used as a driving wheel, other accessory belt pulleys are used as driven wheels, the water pump belt pulley is used as the driving wheel, and other accessory belt pulleys are driven wheels, so that the belt transmission system is more compact. In addition, because the front end of the crankshaft is provided with the motor and other accessories, if the crankshaft pulley drives other belt pulley accessories, the front end of the engine body is lengthened, so that the engine body is driven by the water pump belt pulley, the crankshaft pulley can be omitted, and the engine body length is reduced.

the water pump belt pulley is connected to the other end of the water pump shaft, is positioned on the outer side of the gear chamber shell and is used as a power source for driving the accessory belt pulley;
