Abstract
The invention discloses a display, which comprises a display panel, a rear cover, a side frame and an electronic device, wherein the display panel and the rear cover are oppositely arranged, the side frame is connected between the display panel and the rear cover to enclose an inner space of the display, the display panel is provided with a plurality of through holes penetrating through the outer surface and the inner surface of the display panel, the through holes are positioned in a display area of the display panel and are positioned at corner positions of the display panel, the electronic device is arranged in the inner space, the orthographic projection of the electronic device on the display panel is positioned in an area outside the through holes, and the electronic device is in signal transmission with the outside through the through holes. The invention also discloses a mobile terminal. The display and the mobile terminal provided by the invention have the advantage of thinning.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a display with a display screen and a mobile terminal.
Background
Mobile terminals (e.g., mobile phones, tablets, and other portable displays) include a display panel and other functional modules (e.g., a camera, a receiver, a fingerprint module, an antenna module, etc.). The display panel typically occupies a relatively large portion of the mobile terminal, for example, in a cellular phone or tablet computer, the display panel may occupy the entire front face of the device. Generally, the functional module is disposed inside the mobile terminal, and is installed below the display panel, and the functional module is installed in a non-display area of the display panel, for example: establish the camera module at display panel's top, or establish the button in display panel bottom, the setting of these functional module for display panel display area's size receives the restriction, influences the screen and accounts for the ratio.

In one embodiment, the electronic device is mounted on an inner surface of the side frame.
In one embodiment, a reflective plate is further disposed in the display, the reflective plate is disposed opposite to the side frame, the reflective plate and the side frame jointly surround the plurality of through holes, and the reflective plate is configured to reflect a signal emitted by the electronic device to the through holes.
In one embodiment, the reflective plate is connected between an inner surface of the display panel and an inner surface of the rear cover.
In one embodiment, the inner surface of the rear cover is provided with a reflective coating or a reflective membrane, which is disposed opposite to the plurality of through holes.
In one embodiment, the electronic device is mounted on a substrate mounted to the side frame, the substrate being electrically connected to control circuitry within the display through a flexible circuit board on a side of the reflector plate remote from the through hole, the flexible circuit board passing through the reflector plate.
In one embodiment, the electronic device includes a light emitting element and a light sensing element, and the reflective plate is used for shielding light so that the light can be transmitted between the through hole and the electronic device.
In one embodiment, a transparent protective film is attached to an outer surface of the display panel, and the transparent protective film covers the through hole.
In one embodiment, display pixels are disposed in the display panel, and the display pixels are disposed between adjacent through holes.
In another aspect, the present invention provides a mobile terminal, comprising a control circuit and the aforementioned display, wherein the electronic device of the display is electrically connected to the control circuit.
Compared with the prior art, the embodiment of the invention has the advantages that the through holes are formed in the display area of the display panel, the electronic device is arranged in the inner space of the inner side of the display panel, the orthographic projection of the electronic device on the display panel is positioned in the area outside the through holes, and the electronic device is in signal transmission with the outside through the through holes. Due to the fact that the through holes are formed in the display area, the size of the display area of the display panel can be designed to be large, and therefore the screen occupation ratio of the mobile terminal is improved.

Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of the present invention, and not all of the embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
The invention relates to a display and a mobile terminal, wherein the display is applied to the mobile terminal and is used as a display interface of the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal can be a mobile phone, a flat computer, a multimedia player, a wearable electronic product and the like. As shown in fig. 1, in one implementation, the mobile terminal 100 is a smart phone, and the front of the mobile terminal 100 is a display interface. The display interface may include a display area a and a non-display area B, as shown in fig. 1, an area inside a frame indicated by a dotted line is the display area a, a portion at the frame is the non-display area B, and the non-display area B may be provided with a key, a camera, and other functional devices (i.e., electronic devices). Of course, all the display interfaces may be set as the display area a, and the functional device may be hidden under the display area a or set at the side frame position. The display interface of the mobile terminal 100 provided by the invention is provided with the through hole 12, and the through hole 12 can be arranged in the display area A. The through hole 12 is used for communication or transmission of various signals (e.g., optical signals, sound signals, electromagnetic wave signals, etc.) between the electronic devices inside the mobile terminal 100 and the outside.
Referring to fig. 2, a display according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a display panel 10, a rear cover 30, a side frame 40 and an electronic device 20, where the display panel 10 and the rear cover 30 are disposed opposite to each other, and the side frame 40 is connected between the display panel 10 and the rear cover 30 to enclose an inner space of the display. The display panel 10 is provided with a plurality of through holes 12 penetrating through the outer surface and the inner surface of the display panel 10, and the plurality of through holes 12 are located in the display area of the display panel 10 and in the corner positions of the display panel 10. The electronic device 20 is mounted in the inner space, and an orthographic projection of the electronic device 20 on the display panel is located in a region outside the through hole 12. The electronic device 20 is not directly opposite to the through hole 12, but there is no barrier between the side of the electronic device 20 for transmitting and receiving signals and the through hole 12, that is, the side of the electronic device 20 for transmitting and receiving signals is communicated with the through hole 12 and is communicated with a medium capable of transmitting signals, such as air. The electronic device 10 performs signal transmission with the outside through the plurality of through holes 12. .
Specifically, the Display Panel 10 is one of Display devices such as an LED Display Panel, an OLED Display Panel, a Plasma Display Panel (PDP), and an electronic ink Panel. Display pixels 14 are arranged in the display panel 10, the display pixels 14 are distributed in an array, through holes 12 are distributed at positions among the display pixels 14, and the display pixels 14 surround the through holes 12. The number of the through holes 12 may be one, two, or plural. As shown in fig. 1, the number of the through holes 12 is 9, and the through holes are distributed at one corner of the display panel 10 in a three-row and three-column array. The through hole 12 is located in the display area a of the display panel 10.
In one embodiment, the electronic device 20 is mounted to an inner surface of the side frame 40. One surface of the electronic device 20 faces and contacts the side frame 40, and the surface of the electronic device 20 for transmitting and receiving signals faces away from the side frame 40 and faces the accommodating space inside the display.
In one embodiment, a reflective plate 50 is further disposed in the display, the reflective plate 50 is disposed opposite to the side frame 40, the reflective plate 50 and the side frame 40 jointly surround the plurality of through holes 12, and the reflective plate 50 is configured to reflect signals emitted by the electronic devices 20 to the through holes 12. As shown in fig. 2, a reflection plate 50 is coupled between an inner surface of the display panel 10 and an inner surface of the rear cover 30.
In one embodiment, the inner surface of the rear cover 30 is provided with a reflective coating or a reflective film, which is disposed opposite to the plurality of through holes 12, that is, the reflective coating or the reflective film is located in an area between the electronic device 20 and the reflective plate 50, and the plurality of through holes 12 face in common.
Referring to fig. 3, in one embodiment, the electronic device 20 is mounted on a substrate 21, the substrate 21 is mounted on the side frame 40, the substrate 21 is electrically connected to a control circuit 60 in the display through a flexible circuit board 22, the control circuit 60 is located on a side of the reflection plate 50 away from the through hole 12, and the flexible circuit board 22 passes through the reflection plate 50. Specifically, the flexible circuit board 22 is attached to the inner surface of the rear cover 30, and a hole through which the flexible circuit board 22 passes is provided between the reflection plate 50 and the rear cover 30.
The reflective plate 50 may be specular reflective, which may reflect an image. The reflection plate 50 may reflect sound, electromagnetic waves, or the like.
Referring to fig. 4, the reflection plate 50 includes two plates perpendicular to each other, 9 through holes 12 are disposed at corners of the side frame 40, the through holes are distributed in a 3 × 3 array, the reflection plate 50 and the side frame 40 surround together to form a square space, and the through holes 12 are located inside the square space. Both side surfaces of the electronic device 20 are respectively abutted to the side frames 40, and the top surface of the electronic device 20 is abutted to the inner surface of the display panel 10.
In other embodiments, the reflective plate 50 may have a curved surface shape, such as a semi-cylindrical surface. The surface of the reflection plate 50 is provided with grooves or protrusions by which a reflection path is further secured so that the reflected destination is focused to the position of the through-hole 12.
In one embodiment, the electronic device 20 includes a light emitting element and a light sensing element, and the reflective plate 20 is used for shielding light so that the light can be transmitted between the through hole 12 and the electronic device 20.
In one embodiment, a transparent protective film is attached to the outer surface of the display panel 10, and the transparent protective film covers the through hole 12.
In one embodiment, display pixels 14 are disposed in the display panel, and the display pixels 14 are disposed between adjacent through holes 12.
The mobile terminal 100 of the present invention comprises a control circuit 60 and the aforementioned display, wherein the electronic device 20 of the display is electrically connected to the control circuit 60.
Compared with the prior art, in the embodiment of the invention, the through holes 12 are formed in the display area of the display panel 10, the electronic device 20 is installed in the inner space inside the display panel 10, the orthographic projection of the electronic device 20 on the display panel 10 is located in the area outside the through holes 12, and the electronic device 20 performs signal transmission with the outside through the through holes 12. Since the through hole 12 is provided in the display area, the size of the display area of the display panel 10 can be designed to be large, thereby improving the screen occupation ratio of the mobile terminal 100.
The electronic device 20 of the present invention may be a camera module, a (proximity) light sensing chip, a fingerprint chip, a sensor chip, an iris recognition chip, a face recognition chip, an antenna module, a receiver, an MIC, etc.
While the invention has been described with reference to a number of illustrative embodiments, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
Claims (7)
1. A display is characterized by comprising a display panel, a rear cover, a side frame and an electronic device, wherein the display panel and the rear cover are oppositely arranged, the side frame is connected between the display panel and the rear cover to enclose an inner space of the display, the display panel is provided with a plurality of through holes penetrating through the outer surface and the inner surface of the display panel, the through holes are positioned in a display area of the display panel and in corners of the display panel, the electronic device is installed in the inner space, the orthographic projection of the electronic device on the display panel is positioned in an area outside the through holes, and the electronic device is in signal transmission with the outside through the through holes; the display is provided with a plurality of through holes, the display is provided with a display screen, the display screen is provided with a plurality of through holes, the display screen is internally provided with a reflecting plate, the reflecting plate is used for reflecting signals sent by the electronic device to the through holes, the inner surface of the rear cover is also provided with a reflecting coating or a reflecting membrane, the reflecting coating or the reflecting membrane is arranged opposite to the through holes, and the signals reflected by the reflecting plate comprise image light;
the electronic device is mounted on the inner surface of the side frame, two side surfaces of the electronic device are respectively abutted to the side frame, and the top surface of the electronic device is abutted to the inner surface of the display panel; the reflecting plate and the side frame are oppositely arranged, the reflecting plate comprises two plates which are perpendicular to each other, and a square space is formed by the reflecting plate and the side frame to jointly surround the through holes.
2. The display of claim 1, wherein the reflective plate is coupled between an inner surface of the display panel and an inner surface of the back cover.
3. The display of claim 2, wherein the electronics are mounted to a substrate, the substrate being mounted to the bezel, the substrate being electrically connected to control circuitry within the display by a flexible circuit board, the control circuitry being located on a side of the reflector plate remote from the through-hole, the flexible circuit board passing through the reflector plate.
4. The display of claim 2, wherein the electronic device comprises a light emitting element and a light sensing element, and the reflective plate is configured to block light so that the light propagates between the through hole and the electronic device.
5. The display device according to claim 4, wherein a transparent protective film is attached to an outer surface of the display panel, and the transparent protective film covers the through hole.
6. The display according to claim 1, wherein display pixels are disposed in the display panel, and the display pixels are disposed between adjacent through holes.
7. A mobile terminal, characterized in that it comprises a control circuit and a display according to any one of claims 1 to 6, said electronics of said display being electrically connected to said control circuit.
