Abstract
The invention provides a device and a method for setting BIOS options of a Benchmark test by one key, aiming at different Benchmark test items, the system performance can be quickly adjusted to be optimal aiming at the contents of the Benchmark test by only adjusting one option, and the options and the settings influencing the Benchmark test items do not need to be confirmed and modified one by one, thereby reducing the difficulty of operation and reducing the error probability.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of computer servers, in particular to a device and a method for setting BIOS options of a Benchmark test by one key.
Background
As is well known, a server is the core of the whole network system and a computing platform, many important data are stored on the server, and many network services are operated on the server, so that the performance of the server determines the performance of the whole application system.
At present, there are many kinds of servers of different brands and different types on the market, so that when a user chooses to purchase a server product, which is needed from various models and suitable for the user, is not enough to judge the server product only from the configuration, and the server product can be screened through actual tests.
The most widespread and successful application of the Benchmark test in the computer field is a performance test, commonly called as 'score running', which mainly tests response time, transmission rate, throughput and the like, the overall performance of a server system can be evaluated by running the Benchmark test to obtain 'score running', and a better server product is screened by comparison. As a server manufacturer, the manufacturer needs to make a better product and improve the product competitiveness while improving the system performance. Generally, for a Benchmark test, the BIOS settings affecting the test are first sorted and summarized, and then adjusted and modified one by one, which requires modifying many BIOS options and settings, and has a certain difficulty for non-professional customers or operators and is prone to errors, wherein screening and evaluating the BIOS options' effects on the Benchmark test also require a lot of effort.
Therefore, in view of the existing problems, development and research are needed to provide a solution, which can adjust the server system to the optimal performance only by adjusting one BIOS option for a Benchmark test project, and obtain a higher "running score" and a better test result.

Further, options that affect system Benchmark Performance include preftchers, Intel HTtechnology, Intel Turbo Boost Technology, Energy efficiency Turbo, Energy/Performance Bias, NUMA Mode, Snaop Mode configuration.
Further, a corresponding relation table among the Benchmark test items, the BIOS options, and the option settings is stored in the storage unit.
Further, the input unit and the output unit share the input and output devices of the server.
Furthermore, the device for setting the BIOS option of the Benchmark test by one key further comprises an indication unit, and the indication unit is used for sending out a prompt after the setting of the BIOS option of the server is completed.
Further, the indication unit may be an LED or a speaker.
In a second aspect, the present invention provides a method for setting BIOS options for Benchmark testing by one key, including:
SS 1: combing out a Benchmark test item and options and settings influencing the system Benchmark performance;
SS 2: reading the Benchmark test item for selection by a user,
SS 3: reading BIOS options and settings influencing the Benchmark test selected by the user according to the selection of the user;
SS 4: one-key modification is made to the read BIOS options and settings.

The central control unit reads the Benchmark test item list in the storage unit and transmits the Benchmark test item list to the output unit for selection of a user, the user selects the Benchmark test item through the input unit and transmits the Benchmark test item list to the central control unit, the central control unit reads BIOS options and settings influencing the Benchmark test selected by the user from the storage unit according to the selection of the user and transmits the BIOS options and settings to the execution unit, and the execution unit performs one-key modification on the read BIOS options and settings.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the options that affect the Performance of the system Benchmark include preftchers, Intel HT Technology, Intel Turbo Boost Technology, Energy efficiency Turbo, Energy/Performance Bias, NUMA Mode, Snaop Mode configuration.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, a correspondence table among the Benchmark test item, the BIOS option, and the option setting is stored in the storage unit. The BIOS options and their settings involved in the Linpack test are shown in the following table.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the input unit and the output unit share input and output devices of the server.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the device for setting the BIOS option of the Benchmark test by one key further includes an indication unit, and the indication unit is configured to send a prompt after the setting of the BIOS option of the server is completed.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the indication unit may be an LED or a speaker.

3. The apparatus for setting BIOS options of bench mark test according to claim 1, wherein the input unit and the output unit share input and output devices of the server.
4. The apparatus for setting BIOS options of Benchmark test according to claim 1, wherein the apparatus for setting BIOS options of Benchmark test further comprises an indication unit configured to issue a prompt after setting BIOS options of the server is completed.
5. The device for setting BIOS option of Benchmark test according to claim 4, wherein the indication unit can be LED or speaker.
6. The method for setting the BIOS option of the Benchmark test by one key is characterized by comprising the following steps:
SS 1: acquiring a corresponding relation table among pre-stored Benchmark test items, BIOS options and option settings, and carding the Benchmark test items, the options and the settings influencing the system Benchmark performance according to the corresponding relation table;
SS 2: reading the Benchmark test item for selection by a user,
SS 3: reading BIOS options and settings influencing the Benchmark test selected by the user according to the selection of the user;
SS 4: one-key modification is made to the read BIOS options and settings.
