As shown in fig. 8, a program product 80 for video recommendation according to an embodiment of the present invention is depicted, which may be in the form of a portable compact disc read only memory (CD-ROM), and which comprises program code and may be run on a terminal device. However, the program product of the present invention is not limited in this regard and, in the present document, a readable storage medium may be any tangible medium that can contain, or store a program for use by or in connection with an instruction execution system, apparatus, or device.
A readable signal medium may include a propagated data signal with readable program code embodied therein, for example, in baseband or as part of a carrier wave. Such a propagated data signal may take any of a variety of forms, including, but not limited to, electro-magnetic, optical, or any suitable combination thereof. A readable signal medium may also be any readable medium that is not a readable storage medium and that can communicate, propagate, or transport a program for use by or in connection with an instruction execution system, apparatus, or device.
Program code for carrying out operations for aspects of the present invention may be written in any combination of one or more programming languages, including an object oriented programming language such as Java, C + + or the like and conventional procedural programming languages, such as the "C" programming language or similar programming languages. The program code may execute entirely on the user device, partly on a remote computing device, or entirely on the remote computing device or server. In the case of a remote computing device, the remote computing device may be connected to the user device through any kind of network, including a Local Area Network (LAN) or a Wide Area Network (WAN), or may be connected to an external computing device.
Exemplary computing device
Having described the methods, apparatus, and media of exemplary embodiments of the present invention, a computing device for video recommendation of exemplary embodiments of the present invention is described next with reference to FIG. 9.
As will be appreciated by one skilled in the art, aspects of the present invention may be embodied as a system, method or program product. Thus, various aspects of the invention may be embodied in the form of: an entirely hardware embodiment, an entirely software embodiment (including firmware, microcode, etc.) or an embodiment combining hardware and software aspects that may all generally be referred to herein as a "circuit," module "or" system.
In some possible embodiments, a computing device for video recommendation according to the present invention may include at least a memory, a processor, and a computer program stored on the memory and executable on the processor, the processor implementing the steps in the video recommendation method according to various exemplary embodiments of the present invention described in the "exemplary methods" section above in this specification when executing the program. For example, the processor implements step 201 shown in fig. 2 when executing the program, and in response to a user's play operation for initiating a video in a video play page, plays the video in a play area, and in step 202, displays a video recommendation list associated with the video if the remaining play duration of the video is less than or equal to a preset duration.
A computing device 90 according to this embodiment of the invention is described below with reference to fig. 9. The computing device 90 shown in FIG. 9 is only one example and should not be taken to limit the scope of use and functionality of embodiments of the present invention.
As shown in fig. 9, computing device 90 is embodied in the form of a general purpose computing device. Components of computing device 90 may include, but are not limited to: the at least one processor 901, the at least one memory 902, and the bus 903 connecting the various system components (including the processor 901 and the memory 902).
The bus 903 includes an address bus, a control bus, and a data bus.
The memory 902 may include volatile memory, such as Random Access Memory (RAM)9021 and/or cache memory 9022, and may further include Read Only Memory (ROM) 9023.
Memory 902 may also include a program/utility 9025 having a set (at least one) of program modules 9024, such program modules 9024 including, but not limited to: an operating system, one or more application programs, other program modules, and program data, each of which, or some combination thereof, may comprise an implementation of a network environment.
Computing device 90 may also communicate with one or more external devices 904, such as a keyboard, pointing device, etc., which may be through input/output (I/O) interfaces 905. Moreover, computing device 90 may also communicate with one or more networks (e.g., a Local Area Network (LAN), a Wide Area Network (WAN), and/or a public network, such as the internet) via network adapter 906. As shown in fig. 9, network adapter 906 communicates with the other modules of computing device 90 via bus 903. It should be understood that although not shown in the figures, other hardware and/or software modules may be used in conjunction with computing device 90, including but not limited to: microcode, device drivers, redundant processing units, external disk drive arrays, RAID systems, tape drives, and data backup storage systems, among others.
It should be noted that although several modules of the video recommendation device are mentioned in the above detailed description, such division is merely exemplary and not mandatory. Indeed, the features and functionality of two or more of the modules described above may be embodied in one module according to embodiments of the invention. Conversely, the features and functions of one module described above may be further divided into embodiments by a plurality of modules.
Moreover, while the operations of the method of the invention are depicted in the drawings in a particular order, this does not require or imply that the operations must be performed in this particular order, or that all of the illustrated operations must be performed, to achieve desirable results. Additionally or alternatively, certain steps may be omitted, multiple steps combined into one step execution, and/or one step broken down into multiple step executions.
While the spirit and principles of the invention have been described with reference to several particular embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiments, nor is the division of aspects, which is for convenience only as the features in such aspects may not be combined to benefit. The invention is intended to cover various modifications and equivalent arrangements included within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.

Claims (12)

1. A video recommendation method, comprising:
responding to the playing operation of a user for the video in the initialized video playing page, and playing the video in a playing area;
if the remaining playing time of the video is less than or equal to a preset time, displaying a video recommendation list associated with the video, wherein the preset time is any value between 0 and 10 seconds;
if the remaining playing time of the video currently in the playing state is less than or equal to the preset time, displaying a prompt message of a next video to be played in a suspending manner on the video currently in the playing state, wherein the next video is a video in the video recommendation list;
responding to a second operation of the user for any video in the video recommendation list, and if the any video is different from the video which is currently played, determining that the video which is currently played is played, and playing the any video; if any video is the same as the video currently played, when the video currently played is determined to be played completely, the video currently in the playing state in the video recommendation list is played from the beginning;
before a video recommendation list associated with a video is displayed, judging whether a video recommendation list display switch is turned on or not, if so, displaying the video recommendation list associated with the video, and if not, not displaying the video recommendation list associated with the video, wherein the video recommendation list display switch is arranged in an application program comprising a video playing interface;
the video in the video recommendation list associated with the video is any one of the following: the videos belong to the same type as the videos, the videos belong to the same episode as the videos, and the videos which are not related to the videos determined according to the click rate.
2. The method according to claim 1, wherein displaying the video recommendation list associated with the video specifically comprises:
inserting a blank display area immediately below the play area;
and displaying a video recommendation list associated with the video in the blank display area.
3. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
and in response to a first operation of the user on any video in the video recommendation list, interrupting the playing of the video in the current playing state, and playing any video in the playing area.
4. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
and responding to a second operation of the user for any video in the video recommendation list, and when the video in the current playing state is determined to be played completely, playing any video in the playing area.
5. The method of claim 1, wherein prior to displaying the video recommendation list associated with the video, further comprising:
and determining that the video recommendation list display switch is in an open state.
6. A video recommendation apparatus comprising:
the playing module is used for responding to the playing operation of a user for the video in the initialized video playing page and playing the video in the playing area;
the list display module is used for displaying a video recommendation list associated with the video if the remaining playing time of the video is less than or equal to a preset time, wherein the preset time is any value between 0 and 10 seconds;
the prompt display module is used for displaying prompt information of a next video to be played in a suspending manner on the video in the current playing state if the remaining playing time of the video in the current playing state is less than or equal to the preset time, wherein the next video is the video in the video recommendation list;
the prompt display module is further used for responding to a second operation of the user for any video in the video recommendation list, and if the any video is different from the currently played video, the any video is played when the playing of the currently played video is determined to be finished; if any video is the same as the video currently played, when the video currently played is determined to be played completely, the video currently in the playing state in the video recommendation list is played from the beginning;
the list display module is further configured to: judging whether a video recommendation list display switch is turned on, if so, displaying a video recommendation list associated with the video, and if not, not displaying the video recommendation list associated with the video, wherein the video recommendation list display switch is arranged in an application program comprising a video playing interface;
the video in the video recommendation list associated with the video is any one of the following: the videos belong to the same type as the videos, the videos belong to the same episode as the videos, and the videos which are not related to the videos determined according to the click rate.
7. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein the list display module comprises:
an insertion unit for inserting a blank display area immediately below the play area;
and the display unit is used for displaying the video recommendation list related to the video in the blank display area.
8. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein the playback module is further to:
and in response to a first operation of the user on any video in the video recommendation list, interrupting the playing of the video in the current playing state, and playing any video in the playing area.
9. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein the playback module is further to:
and responding to a second operation of the user for any video in the video recommendation list, and when the video in the current playing state is determined to be played completely, playing any video in the playing area.
10. The apparatus of claim 6, further comprising:
and the determining module is used for determining that a video recommendation list display switch is in an on state before the list display module displays the video recommendation list associated with the video.
11. A computer-readable medium, on which a computer program is stored which is executed by a processor for carrying out the steps of the method of any one of claims 1 to 5.
12. A computing device comprising a memory, a processor and a computer program stored on the memory and executable on the processor, the processor implementing the steps of the method of any one of claims 1 to 5 when executing the program.
