Rather, they are merely examples of apparatus and methods consistent with certain aspects of the present disclosure, as detailed in the appended claims.
Fig. 1a is a schematic structural view of a wheel guard of the related art; FIG. 1b is a cross-sectional view of the wheel protection device shown in FIG. 1a taken along a-a. The wheel protection device a shown in fig. 1a and 1B includes a cover a1, wherein the cover a1 encloses a containing chamber a2, and the cover a1 is fitted over the wheel B to contain the wheel B in the containing chamber a2, thereby protecting the wheel B. The wheel protecting device a in the related art can be sleeved and rolled up only manually, and thus has problems of complicated assembly and disassembly and inconvenience in high-frequency use.
To solve the problems in the related art, the present disclosure improves the structure of a wheel guard a, and the following description is made:
FIG. 2a is a schematic view of a wheel protection device in an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure in use; fig. 2b is a schematic view of a storage state of a wheel protection device according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure. The wheel protection device 10 to which the present disclosure relates may include a cover 11 and a support 12. The supporting member 12 can be switched between an extended state shown in fig. 2a and a folded state shown in fig. 2b, and the supporting member 12 can cooperate with the covering member 11 to drive the covering member 11 to be switched between a use state and a storage state. The cover 11 is opened to shield at least a part of the wheel 20 in the use state, and the cover 11 is contracted to reduce the space occupation in the storage state. The wheel protection device 10 can be used and stored conveniently by stretching the support frame to expand and contract the covering member 11.
In the above embodiment, in order to facilitate the supporting member 12 to bring the covering member 11 to switch between the use state and the storage state, the supporting member 12 may include a plurality of ribs 121, and the ribs 121 are fixedly connected to the covering member 11. When the ribs 121 are pulled in the direction shown in fig. 2b, the distance between adjacent ribs 121 may increase continuously with the pulling until the support 12 reaches and is maintained in the extended state. When the ribs 121 are pulled in the direction shown in fig. 2a, the distance between adjacent ribs 121 may decrease with the pulling until the support 12 reaches and is maintained in the folded state. Wherein, rib 121 can be the elastic component, and the elastic component takes place to deform easily to the state of stretching, also relies on elastic restoring force to get back to folded state easily, consequently is convenient for support piece 12 in the switching between extension state and folded state. The rib 121 may be made of metal to improve the strength of the entire wheel guard 10, or the rib 121 may be made of other materials, which is not limited in the present disclosure.
It should be noted that, in order to increase the overall aesthetic appearance of the wheel guard 10, an interlayer (not labeled) may be provided for the cover 11 to mount the support 12 within the interlayer. In order to facilitate the matching of the support member 12 to be freely opened and contracted during the switching between the extended state and the folded state, the covering member 11 may be made of an elastic material. In order to effectively prevent water or corrosive liquid from dripping onto the wheel 20, the cover 11 may be a waterproof cloth or other waterproof material. Of course, the covering member 11 may have various characteristics such as elasticity and water resistance at the same time to meet application requirements in various scenes.
To facilitate use of the wheel protection device 10 with a vehicle, in one embodiment, the wheel protection device may be secured to the vehicle, such as by being fitted with the wheel protection device 10 at the time of shipment of the vehicle. Alternatively, in another embodiment, the wheel guard 10 may include a cover 11, a support member 12, and an attachment member 13 as shown in fig. 3, and the wheel guard 10 may be assembled to the vehicle through the attachment member 13. So that the vehicle can be assembled at later period at any time when not being installed when leaving the factory; and, the wheel guard 10 is removed from the vehicle through the connector 13 to facilitate cleaning, protection and replacement of the wheel guard 10. Wherein the attachment member 13 is fixedly attached to at least one of the cover member 11 or the support member 12 and cooperates with the vehicle to assemble the wheel guard 10 to the vehicle. When the wheel guard 10 is in use, the support member 12 is pulled directly until the support member 12 is switched to the unfolded state, which brings the cover member 11 to the use state. When the wheel protection device 10 is not used, the support member 12 is pulled until the support member 12 is switched to the folded state, so that the cover member 11 can be switched to the storage state. The wheel guard 10 does not need to be manually nested or rolled up for the wheel 20, which is convenient to use.
In the above-described embodiment, the wheel guard 10 is applicable to wheels of vehicles such as bicycles, automobiles, electric vehicles, and the like, and the mounting of the wheel guard 10 will now be described by taking the automobile wheel 20 as an example. The wheel guard assembly 10 may be mounted to the fender 30 of a vehicle by including the fender 30 above the vehicle wheel 20. To accommodate the shape of fender 30, attachment member 13 may include an arcuate edge for engaging fender 30 to achieve a better appearance.
In the above embodiment, the connecting member 13 may be a rubber strip, one surface of which is fixed to at least one of the covering member 11 or the supporting member 12, and the other surface of which is bonded to the inner side surface of the fender panel 30 of the automobile. Alternatively, the connecting member 13 may be a fastening member by which the wheel guard 10 is fixedly attached to the fender panel 30 of the automobile, and the present disclosure is not limited to the specific structure of the connecting member 13. After the wheel protection device 10 is installed on an automobile, the supporting member 12 can be directly pulled when the wheel protection device is used until the supporting member 12 is switched to the unfolding state, namely, the covering member 11 is driven to be switched to the using state, and the operation is convenient. When the wheel protection device 10 is not used, the support member 12 is pulled until the support member 12 is switched to the folded state, so that the cover member 11 can be switched to the storage state. The cover 11 is reduced in size in the stored state, can be stored between the wheel 20 and the fender panel 30, and does not interfere with the traveling of the automobile.
To further facilitate use of the wheel guard 10, in the embodiment shown in fig. 4, the wheel guard 10 may include a cover 11, a support 12, and an edge pull 14. Here, an edge pull 14 may be provided on the cover 11 or on the support 12 near the edge of the wheel guard 10, so that a user may pull or retract the wheel guard 10 using the edge pull 14.
The present disclosure further proposes a vehicle including the wheel protection device 10 relating to the above-described embodiment. Wherein the vehicle may be an automobile, an electric vehicle, a bicycle, etc., and the disclosure is not limited thereto.
Other embodiments of the disclosure will be apparent to those skilled in the art from consideration of the specification and practice of the disclosure disclosed herein. This application is intended to cover any variations, uses, or adaptations of the disclosure following, in general, the principles of the disclosure and including such departures from the present disclosure as come within known or customary practice within the art to which the disclosure pertains. It is intended that the specification and examples be considered as exemplary only, with a true scope and spirit of the disclosure being indicated by the following claims.
It will be understood that the present disclosure is not limited to the precise arrangements described above and shown in the drawings and that various modifications and changes may be made without departing from the scope thereof. The scope of the present disclosure is limited only by the appended claims.
