Description

Clothes care appliance with program selection device
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a laundry care appliance with a program selection device.
Background
During a laundry care process in a laundry care appliance, such as a washing machine or a dryer, laundry to be treated is cleaned or dried. Heavily soiled garments may contain unpleasant smelling odorants corresponding to olfactory substances, i.e. substances that can be sensorially sensed by the smell and leave an unpleasant impression when sensed. In order to remove unpleasant smelling substances during the laundry care process, different chemicals, for example ozone, can be supplied to the laundry, for example, in order to deactivate unpleasant smelling substances.

Disclosure of Invention
The invention is based on the following tasks: a laundry care appliance is described in which an advantageous laundry care process can be carried out.
According to one aspect of the invention, this object is achieved by a laundry care appliance having a washing drum for receiving laundry, a lye container for receiving the washing drum, a first supply element for supplying a water mist into the lye container, a second supply element for supplying ozone into the lye container and a third supply element for supplying an additive into the lye container, wherein the laundry care appliance comprises program selection means for selecting a plurality of selectable laundry care programs, wherein the plurality of selectable laundry care programs includes a selectable first laundry care profile, in which first laundry care bar only one of the supply elements can be activated, and wherein, the laundry care appliance comprises laundry care grade control means for implementing the selected first laundry care grade.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: by specifically activating only one of the supply elements during the selectable first laundry care bar, it is enabled to advantageously control the laundry care appliance in accordance with a laundry care situation desired by a user of the laundry care appliance.
In the case of a slightly soiled garment to be treated and no strong odor load on the garment, for example, only the first supply element can be activated in order to supply water mist to the lye container. Water mist is used to wet laundry and can remove water-soluble dirt without adding detergent. Therefore, when the clothes are treated, the complete clothes care file including the addition of the detergent can be eliminated, and therefore the resource-protected clothes treatment is realized.
In the case of an odorous load of the laundry to be treated and no soiling of the laundry, it is possible, for example, to activate only the second supply element in order to supply ozone to the lye container. By supplying ozone, a reduction of the effective smell of the laundry to be cleaned in the laundry care appliance can be achieved. The treatment of laundry to be treated with ozone has proven to be advantageous in rendering the odor-active substances ineffective. Ozone is a strong oxidant and is capable of oxidizing and thereby rendering ineffective the odorous substances, thereby achieving effective odor reduction of the laundry. By oxidizing unpleasant smelling odoriferous substances, the odoriferous substances are rendered ineffective and no longer perceptible by humans. Thereby, the odorous substances lose their unpleasant smelling properties.
In the case of a non-soiled and non-odorous load of the laundry to be treated, for example, only the third supply element can be activated in order to supply the additive to the lye container. The additive is each of the following: the additive is added in addition to the primary care agent by a user of the laundry care appliance. The detergent added by the user as a main care agent has an effect of ensuring effective cleaning of laundry to be cared for in the washing process. For this purpose, the main care agent is in most cases supplied into the rinsing-in housing and can be dissolved by the supplied water in order to obtain a washing lye, which is utilized for the washing care process. The additive supplied by the third supply element does not correspond to the main care agent, i.e. to the detergent, but is a substance added by the user to the detergent during the laundry care process, in order to obtain one or more further effects. The additives may comprise different fragrances or aromatic substances, whereby the laundry has a pleasant smell for the user of the laundry care appliance after the laundry care process. The aroma may be a liquid or gaseous aroma, such as lavender aroma or other aroma. The additive may include additional substances, such as water repellents, to effect a water repellent treatment of the article of clothing. The additive may comprise a bleaching agent, a disinfectant, a colorant or a coating agent, or every other kind of agent added in addition to the main care agent during the garment care process. Thus, when only the third supply element is activated in case of only adding the additive, the complete laundry care profile including the addition of the detergent can be cancelled, thereby enabling a resource-protected addition of the additive.
For this reason, the program control device for selecting the selectable first laundry care profile has proven to be advantageous, since only one specific supply element is activated, which is necessary for the current laundry care situation.
Thereby, the energy consumption, water consumption and detergent consumption of the laundry care appliance may be reduced, since a complete laundry care process may generally be eliminated and, for example, the addition of water may be completely eliminated. Furthermore, mechanical wear of the laundry in the laundry care appliance is reduced by shortening the duration of the laundry care process, whereby the user can wear the laundry to be cleaned for a longer time.
The corresponding treatment of the laundry to be treated with water mist, ozone or additives can be carried out before, during or after a conventional laundry treatment process with the laundry in the laundry drum wet or dry.
By laundry care appliance is understood an appliance for laundry care, such as a washing machine or a drying machine. Such a laundry care appliance is understood to be, in particular, a household laundry care appliance. I.e. laundry care appliances which are used in the domestic context and which treat a suitable (haushalsullich) amount of laundry for domestic use.
In an advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the first supply element is configured for generating a water mist.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: the water mist is generated by the first supply element specifically at the point in time at which it is required and is supplied to the lye container. The first supply element may also be inoperative when water mist is not required. For generating the water mist, for example, an ultrasonic generating device with, for example, a piezoelectric crystal can be used.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the second supply element is configured for generating ozone.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: ozone is generated by the second supply element specifically at the point in time at which ozone is required and is supplied to the lye container. The second supply element may be inoperative when ozone is not required. Storing ozone, for example, in a casing is disadvantageous because ozone has a small half-life and decomposes very rapidly in air at room temperature. To generate ozone, the second supply element may comprise an ozone generator.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the third supply element is configured for supplying an aromatic substance, a water-repellent substance, a coloring substance, a coating substance or a mixture of the above-mentioned substances as an additive to the lye container.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: the third supply element may contain one or more additives that may be added to the conventional detergent to be output to the laundry in the washing drum. The additive is not used as a laundry detergent during a laundry care process, but rather promotes additional effects on the laundry. For example, the aromatic substance promotes the laundry to emit a pleasant smell, whereby the unpleasant smell of the laundry can be covered, and the user of the laundry care appliance can take out the laundry to be cared having the pleasant smell. A waterproof substance or a coating substance is added to a determined garment in order to make the surface of the article of the garment resistant. This may lead to improved stability, for example in the case of sensitive materials such as leather. The coloring of the laundry, for example, is achieved by a coloring substance.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the third supply element comprises an additive-receiving receptacle for receiving an additive.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: an effective reception of an advantageous amount of additive in the supply element is achieved by the additive receiving container, whereby the third supply element can supply the required amount of additive to the lye container during a plurality of laundry care sessions without having to refill the additive receiving container with additive.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the laundry care appliance comprises an ozone line, wherein the second supply element is designed for supplying ozone as an ozone-air mixture directly to the lye container via the ozone line.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: the odor reduction of the laundry is achieved by supplying ozone as an ozone-air mixture into the laundry drum even in the case of laundry drying, whereby it is possible to dispense with performing an unnecessary washing process with washing lye. When the laundry has only an unpleasant smell without a strong need for cleaning, the laundry to be cared for at this time may be put into the laundry drum in a dry state. The ozone-air-mixture may be supplied as a gas to the laundry drum through an ozone line. Thereby causing the odor of the laundry in the laundry drum to be effectively reduced without having to perform a laundry care course having a wet washing course.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the laundry care appliance comprises an additive outlet line, wherein the third supply element is configured for supplying the additive directly to the lye container via the additive outlet line.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: the additive can be directly supplied to the laundry in the lye container and the washing drum by supplying the additive through the additive outlet line. The additive is output to the washing drum through the additive output pipeline, and the advantages are as follows: the additive does not have to be guided through the first supply element. This output is advantageous when the half-life of the additive is small and therefore has to be supplied to the laundry quickly, or when the additive is not suitable for supplying to the lye container as a mist containing the additive.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, in the selectable first laundry care gear, only the first supply element can be activated for supplying the first quantity of water mist to the lye container, or only the second supply element can be activated for supplying the second quantity of ozone to the lye container, or only the third supply element can be activated for supplying the third quantity of additive to the lye container.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: by activating only one single supply element by the program selection device, the supply elements required in a specific laundry care situation can be activated in a targeted manner. The first, second or third supply element can thereby be activated in such a way that only the required specific amount of water mist, ozone or additive is supplied to the lye container.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the plurality of selectable laundry care programs comprises a selectable second laundry care bar in which only two of the supply elements can be activated, wherein the laundry care bar control device is configured for implementing the selected second laundry care bar.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: by selecting the second laundry care bar and by thereby causing the activation of both supply elements, the supply elements necessary for carrying out the laundry care process are activated anyway. By deactivating the unnecessary third supply element, unnecessary resources, such as water and energy, may be saved and the duration of the laundry care process may be reduced.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, in the selectable second laundry care setting only the first and second supply elements can be activated for supplying the water mist and the ozone to the lye container, or only the first and third supply elements can be activated for supplying the water mist and the additive to the lye container, or only the second and third supply elements can be activated for supplying the ozone to the lye container and the additive to the lye container after supplying the ozone to the lye container.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: in the case of activation of only the first and second supply elements, the supply of additive into the lye container can be cancelled. This is particularly advantageous when in a laundry care profile only wetting and odor reduction of the laundry should be performed.
It is furthermore advantageous: in case only the first and third supply elements are activated, the supply of ozone into the lye container can be cancelled. This is particularly advantageous when the laundry to be treated does not have an unpleasant smell, so that the addition of ozone is not necessary. In this case, the water mist may be supplied to the laundry through the first supply member so as to wet the laundry. In case only the third supply element is activated and the additive is supplied, an improved reception of the additive by the wet laundry may be achieved, thereby achieving an advantageous laundry care process.
It is furthermore advantageous: by activating the second and third supply elements in sequence and only, the addition of water to the laundry can be cancelled, since no water mist is supplied to the lye container by the first supply element, whereby a dry laundry care process can be performed. The second supply element supplies ozone to the lye container, thereby enabling effective odor removal of unpleasant odors in the laundry. However, since ozone is a strong oxidizing agent that can also deactivate the additive, the third supply element is activated after the second supply element, whereby the additive is not conducted into the lye container until after the ozone. Thereby, most of the ozone in the lye container may be inactive, whereby subsequently added additives are not made inactive by the ozone and an efficient treatment of the laundry which has been freed from unpleasant odours may be performed.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the program selection device is configured for activating the first supply element for supplying the water mist to the lye container and for activating the second supply element after supplying the water mist for separately supplying ozone to the lye container.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: effective wetting and odor removal of laundry in a washing drum is achieved by supplying water mist and ozone in sequence into a lye container. By wetting sensitive clothing fibres, such as silk, it is possible in a second step to first carry out a protective cleaning by means of a water mist before ozone is supplied to the clothing for odor reduction. This protects the sensitive clothing fibers.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the program selection device is configured for activating the first supply element for supplying the water mist to the lye container and for activating the third supply element after supplying the water mist for supplying the additive individually to the lye container.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: effective delivery of the additive to the laundry is achieved by supplying water mist and the additive to the lye container in sequence. Some additives in combination with moisture exert their full force on the garment. Thereby, the initial wetting of the laundry by supplying the water mist through the first supply element is used for preparation of the supply of the additive through the third supply element.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the plurality of selectable laundry care programs comprises a selectable third laundry care stage in which only three of the supply elements can be activated, wherein the laundry care stage control device is configured for implementing the selected third laundry care stage, and wherein the program selection device is configured for activating the second supply element for supplying ozone to the lye container and, after the supply of ozone, the first supply element for supplying water mist to the lye container and, after the supply of water mist, the third supply element for supplying additives to the lye container.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: effective laundry care is achieved by supplying ozone, water mist and additives to the lye container in sequence in the third laundry care stage. In the case of clothing that is heavily soiled or strongly negatively odorous, it may be necessary to activate all three supply elements. The initial addition of ozone by the second supply element contributes to an effective odor reduction of the possibly still dry laundry. By subsequently adding the water mist from the first supply element, the laundry can be moistened and, furthermore, the ozone can be effectively removed or washed out of the lye container by the water mist. In this way, the amount of ozone in the lye container is reduced when the additive is subsequently added by the third supply element, thereby ensuring an effective supply of the additive to the laundry, without the additive possibly becoming inoperative due to ozone still present.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, at least one of the supply elements comprises an inlet line valve, wherein the inlet line valve is designed for disconnecting the at least one of the supply elements from the lye container in a first position and for connecting the at least one of the supply elements to the lye container in a second position, and wherein the laundry care control device is designed for activating the second position of the inlet line valve of the at least one activated supply element in order to connect the activated at least one supply element to the lye container when a selected laundry care gear is implemented.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: by controlling the inlet line valve of the at least one supply element by the laundry care control device, water mist, ozone or additives are delivered to the laundry in advantageous quantities and at advantageous points in time. It has proven to be advantageous if the additive is added to the lye container only after a certain time interval after the addition of ozone in order to avoid the additive becoming inoperative due to ozone. In this way, an effective activation or deactivation of the inlet line valve of the at least one supply element can be achieved by the laundry care control device.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the laundry care appliance, the program selection means comprise a rotary wheel, a joystick, a touch-sensitive screen or a smart device for selecting a plurality of selectable laundry care programs.
The following technical advantages are thereby achieved: the efficient selection of a laundry care program by a user of a laundry care appliance is achieved by turning a wheel, a joystick, a touch sensitive screen or a smart device such as a connected smartphone or laptop.

Other embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawings and described in more detail below.
The figures show:
FIG. 1 is a schematic view of a laundry care appliance; and
fig. 2 is a schematic view of the arrangement of the supply element in the laundry care appliance.
Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a schematic view of a generic laundry care appliance 100, for example a washing machine. In the case of a washing machine, the laundry care appliance 100 may comprise a storage container 101 into which detergent may be charged. When water is supplied to the storage container 101 and mixed there with the detergent, a washing lye necessary for the laundry care process is generated. The interior space of the laundry care appliance 100 comprises a lye container 103 in which the generated washing lye is received. A quantity of laundry can be brought into the laundry drum 105, which is at least partially introduced into the lye container 103.
The laundry care appliance 100 comprises a first supply element 107 configured for supplying a water mist to the lye container 103. For this purpose, water is introduced into the first supply element 107 and fine water droplets are generated, for example by means of an ultrasonic atomizer with a piezoelectric crystal, by means of which water droplets a mist of water droplets is formed.
The laundry care appliance 100 comprises a second supply element 109 which is configured for supplying ozone to the lye container 103. The second supply element 109 may comprise an ozone container, for example an ozone jacket, in order to supply ozone to the lye container 103. The second supply element 109 may comprise an ozone generator configured for generating ozone, wherein the generated ozone is supplied to the lye container 103.
The laundry care appliance 100 comprises a third supply element 111 configured for supplying an additive to the lye container 103. The third supply element 111 may comprise an additive receiving container, e.g. an additive casing, for storing and supplying additive to the lye container 103 when required.
Furthermore, the laundry care appliance 100 comprises a program selection means 113, by means of which a user of the laundry care appliance 100 can select a plurality of selectable laundry care programs. Among the plurality of selectable laundry care programs is a selectable laundry bar in which the first, second or third supplying members 107, 109, 111 can be activated by a selection of a user. The information for activating the first, second or third supply element 107, 109, 111 is transmitted to the laundry care segment control means 117 via the selection conductor 115. The laundry care range control device 117 is connected to the first supply element 107 via a first control conductor 119, to the second supply element 109 via a second control conductor 121 and to the third supply element 111 via a third control conductor 123, in order to activate the supply element 107, 109, 111 to be activated by the laundry care range control device 117 within the range of the selected laundry care range.
Depending on the laundry care stage selected by the program selection means 113, the laundry care stage control means 117 may activate none, one, two or three of the supply elements 107, 109, 111, either simultaneously or sequentially.
Fig. 2 shows a schematic illustration of the arrangement of the supply elements in a laundry care appliance 100, for example a washing machine, having a lye container 103, a rotatably supported laundry drum 105 for receiving laundry 125, and a cup 127 in the lye container 103.
In fig. 2, a circulation system for caring for laundry 125 is shown. In a first step, air is conducted from the lye container 103 via the air line 129 to the ozone removal device 131. The ozone removing means 131 may comprise an activated carbon filter by means of which ozone that may be present in the air is removed, for example by rendering it ineffective by means of conversion into carbon dioxide. Furthermore, the ozone removing device 131 may be configured for removing ozone and further odorous substances, if present, from the laundry care appliance 100. The ozone removing device 131 can be in contact with the outside air through the opening section 133 and thus enable exchange with the air of the surrounding environment. The cleaned air is then supplied via a fan inlet line 135 to a fan 137, which supplies air via a fan outlet line 139 to the second supply element 109.
The second supply element 109 comprises an ozone generator for generating ozone. The generated ozone can be supplied as an ozone-air mixture directly to the lye container 103 via the ozone line 141. The generated ozone can also be supplied first to the first supply element 107 via a further ozone line 143, wherein the first supply element 107 can generate a water mist in order to obtain an amount of water mist containing ozone in the first supply element 107. The quantity of ozone-containing water mist is supplied from the first supply element 107 to the lye container 103 via the water mist inlet line 145, wherein the supply of ozone-containing water mist to the lye container 103 is controlled via the inlet line valve 147. Thus, ozone can be supplied to the lye container 103 via the ozone line 141 or the further ozone line 143 either as an ozone/air mixture or as an ozone/water mist mixture. The ozone-containing water mist or ozone-air mixture can oxidize odorous substances in the lye container 103 as a result of the ozone present and thus can be rendered ineffective. Thereby promoting effective reduction of undesirable odors in the laundry 125.
The second supply element 109 may be deactivated if the second supply element 109 is not activated in the laundry care gear selected by the user. In case the second supply element 109 is inactive, no ozone but only water mist can be supplied to the lye container through the first supply element 107.
The first supplying member 107 may be deactivated if the first supplying member 107 is not activated in the laundry care gear selected by the user. If the second supply element 109 is activated, in the case of an inoperative first supply element 107, no water mist but only ozone is supplied to the lye container 103. If neither the first supply element 107 nor the second supply element 109 is activated, neither water mist nor ozone is supplied to the lye container 103.
If the second supply element 109 is activated, the amount of ozone generated may be determined according to the laundry load of the laundry, the laundry kind, or the odor load of the laundry. For the ozone treatment in relation to loading, laundry type and odor, an already existing measuring system, such as a flow sensor, a pressure sensor, an odor sensor or an ozone sensor, may be used in the laundry care appliance 100. Alternatively, an offline-determined ozone concentration curve can also be used in order to determine an advantageous amount of ozone which is generated by the second supply element 109 and supplied to the lye container 103.
Furthermore, the laundry care appliance comprises a water supply device 149 configured for supplying water to the first supply element 107 through a water supply line 151, thereby ensuring that a sufficient amount of water mist is generated by the first supply element 107.
Furthermore, the laundry care appliance comprises a third supply element 111, which may comprise an additive receiving container for receiving an additive, and wherein the third supply element 111 is configured for supplying the additive either directly to the lye container 103 via an additive output line 153 or indirectly to the lye container 103 as a water mist-additive-mixture via a water supply line 151 via the first supply element 107 and via a water mist input line 145.
The additive may include, for example, a fragrance material to provide fragrance to the garment 125. Thereby achieving a pleasant smell of the laundry 125 for a user of the laundry care appliance 100. The additives may include any substance that causes a user-desired effect in the garment 125, such as a water repellent or a coating agent.
The feed-water line 151 comprises a three-way valve 155 which is connected to the third supply element 111 via a first section 157 of the feed-water line 151 and which is connected to the first supply element 107 via a second section 159 of the feed-water line 151. The three-way valve 155 is connected to the water supply device 149 through the third section 161 of the water supply line 151.
In a first valve setting of the three-way valve 155, an amount of additive may be supplied by the third supply element 111 to the first supply element 107 via the first section 157 of the water supply line 151 and via the second section 159 of the water supply line 151.
In the second valve setting of the three-way valve 155, an amount of water may be supplied by the water supply 149 to the first supply element 107 through the third section 161 of the water supply line 151 and through the second section 159 of the water supply line 151. Here, no additive is supplied to the first supply member 107.
Alternatively, the third supply element 111 may be connected to the lye container 103 via the additive outlet line 153 in order to supply the additive directly and, if appropriate, in the dry state to the lye container 103.
By means of the program selection device 113 for selecting a plurality of laundry care programs, it is possible either to deactivate the supply elements 107, 109, 111 completely, to activate one, two or three of the supply elements 107, 109, 111. This makes it possible to program-specifically deliver water mist, ozone and/or additives to the laundry 125 in the washing drum 105 and thus to adapt the quantity or type of substances delivered to the washing situation. Thus, it is possible, for example, to switch off the first and second supply elements 107, 109 and to supply the additive only to the lye container 103 via the third supply element 111 without the laundry being soiled and without having an odour. Thereby, it is possible by selecting the laundry care program according to the invention to ensure an efficient wetting of the laundry with water, a reduction of unpleasant odorous substances in the lye container 103 or a supply of additives to the laundry 125.
All the features illustrated and shown in connection with the various embodiments of the invention can be provided in the subject-matter according to the invention in different combinations in order to achieve their advantageous effects simultaneously.
The scope of protection of the invention is derived from the claims and is not limited to the features explained in the description or shown in the drawings.
