背景技术
根据现代医学技术,一些疾病或病症可通过在整个时间段内以连续的方式或以特定的次数或以特定时间间隔将药物流体或其他物质递送至患者身体进行治疗。例如,糖尿病通常通过以合适的次数将限定量的胰岛素递送至患者来进行治疗。向患者提供胰岛素治疗的一些常用模式包括通过人工操作的注射器或胰岛素笔递送胰岛素。其他现代系统采用可编程的流体输注设备(例如,连续胰岛素输注设备,例如,胰岛素泵)将控制量的胰岛素或其他药物递送至患者。

发明内容
本文公开了用于递送水性药物流体的流体导管组件。所述流体导管组件的示例性的实施方式包括具有容纳药物流体的内部容积的捕获腔室。所述流体导管组件还包括与所述内部容积流体连通的入口,所述捕获腔室的第一出口排布和所述捕获腔室的第二出口排布。所述第一出口排布调节液体从所述内部容积中流出并且抑制气体从所述内部容积中流出。所述第二出口排布调节气体从所述内部容积中流出并且抑制液体从所述内部容积中流出。

液体出口排布910的示例性的实施方式包括但不限于:形成于捕获腔室902的壁922上的至少一个递送孔920和覆盖或阻断至少一个递送孔920的至少一部分的至少一个膜924(本文中也称为第一膜924)。简单来说,图6仅显示了形成于捕获腔室902的上壁922上的一个递送孔920。在一些实施方式中,如图6示例性地显示的,第一膜924完全覆盖或阻断至少一个递送孔920。在实际应用中,第一膜924可以是根据需要粘贴至壁922或以其他方式合并至壁922上的小的碟片材料或补丁材料。应当理解的是,第一膜924可位于递送孔920(如图所示)的上游,位于递送孔920的下游或位于由递送孔920界定的空间内部。而且,可在界定的流体流道中使用多于一个膜924(如果冗余是期望的话)。
第一膜924显示出亲水性,这样液体可易于穿过第一膜924。而且,第一膜924的性质抑制或防止气体流过第一膜924。因此,第一膜924由部分亲水或主要亲水的材料制成。第一膜924的亲水特性促进液体药物流体从内部容积906流至中空管914,内部容积906与液体出口排布910流体连通。
第一膜924由合适的材料、复合物或成分形成,这样,在流体递送操作过程中,药物流体可易于穿过第一膜。第一膜924可由亲水性、半亲水性、部分亲水性或主要亲水性的材料形成。虽然真正亲水的材料可能是理想的,但是,用于第一膜924的材料可以是部分亲水的或主要为亲水的,同时显示出一定量的疏水性。用于第一膜924的合适的材料的非限定性实例包括:聚丙烯酸酯、聚氨酯、尼龙、醋酸纤维素、聚乙烯醇、聚乙烯泡沫、聚醋酸乙烯酯、聚酯纤维毡、聚酯(PET)、聚砜、聚乙烯砜(polyethyl sulfone)、胶原蛋白、聚己酸内酯,等等。应当理解的是,用于制造第一膜924的材料可被处理以提高亲水特性(如果需要的话)。
气体出口排布912的示例性的实施方式包括但不限于:形成于捕获腔室902的壁922上的至少一个通气孔930和覆盖或阻断至少一个通气孔930的至少一部分的至少一个膜934(本文也称为第二膜934)。图6的横截面图显示了仅仅两个通气孔930,然而,示例性的实施方式实际上包括四个通气孔930(参见图7)。在一些实施方式中,如图6示例性地显示的,第二膜934完全覆盖或阻断通气孔930。在实际应用中,第二膜934可以是单独的材料片或统一的材料补丁,其形状和尺寸依照通气孔930的外形。如上述第一膜924所描述的那样,用于第二膜934的材料可根据需要粘贴至壁922或以其他方式合并至壁922中。应当理解的是,第二膜934可位于通气孔930(如图示出)的上游,位于通气孔930的下游或位于由通气孔930界定的空间内部。而且,可在所界定的流体流道内使用多于一个第二膜934(如果期望的话)。
第二膜934显示出疏水性,这样,气体可易于穿过第二膜934。而且,第二膜934的性质抑制或防止液体流过第二膜934。因此,第二膜934由部分疏水或主要疏水的材料制造。实际上,第二膜934可使用任何合适的材料或复合物制造,所述材料或复合物包括但不限于:聚四氟乙烯(PTFE),氟代聚合物,玻璃纤维,处理的或涂覆的材料,等等。第二膜934的疏水特性促进捕获腔室902的内部容积906中的气体/空气排出。就这点而言,通气孔930优选地被排布和配置成通入围绕捕获腔室902的外部空间。换言之,通气孔930在环境温度和环境压力的位置结束。
在捕获腔室902一体形成于由胰岛素输注泵使用的这类储液器盖子中的一些实施方式中,在推动胰岛素储液器的活塞或柱塞的递送操作过程中,中空针908容纳胰岛素。在这种实施方式中,捕获腔室902的内部容积906可为约1.0毫升至约500毫升,但是在一些实施方式中,实际容积可不在该范围内。在典型的胰岛素递送操作过程中,捕获腔室902的内部容积906内部的压力可以为约1.0psi至约30psi,但是在一些实施方式中,实际压力可不在该范围内。捕获腔室902内部的流体压力足以迫使液体胰岛素流过第一膜924并足以根据需要使空气或其他气体成分通过第二膜934排出。
图7是流体导管组件900的一些特征的俯视图。为了便于举例说明,图7代表了横截面图中的一些特征和透视图中的一些特征。而且,图7显示的尺寸和比例可能与图6所示的不一致,为了清楚起见,在图7中放大了特征。捕获腔室902被显示为横截面以举例说明通气孔930,递送孔920,第一膜924和第二膜934的排布和位置。如图7所示,第一膜924可以为覆盖递送孔920而不会干扰第二膜934或任何通气孔930的碟片材料。
示例性的实施方式包括四个通气孔930,其以围绕递送孔920的圆环模式形成。应当理解的是,可使用其他排气配置和排布替代图7所示的排气配置和排布。通气孔930的圆环模式可被单个环状第二膜934覆盖。就这点而言,第二膜934以不干扰第一膜924或递送孔920的方式完全覆盖各个通气孔930。因此,空气从任一通气孔930(经由第二膜934)逸出,但是第一膜924抑制或防止气体向下游移动。
如上文所解释的,捕获腔室可被合并在输注泵的储液器盖子中。参考图5和图2,储液器盖子容纳流体储液器并且还将流体储液器密封在流体输注设备202的外壳(主体)内部。更加具体而言,储液器盖子将流体储液器密封在流体输注设备202的腔室或腔内部,并且所述腔室可与流体输注设备202的其他部分隔离。在一些实施方式中,储液器盖子包括形成于其中的一个或多于一个压力通气孔,以使流体输注设备202的储液器腔室内部的压力得到补偿。压力补偿对于确保流体储液器的活塞不会响应大气压力的变化进行移动而言是理想的,所述大气压力的变化可能是由高度变化引起的。
除了上述捕获腔室和通气孔排布之外,储液器盖子还可包括为了补偿储液器腔室内部的压力的形成于所述储液器盖子中的压力通气孔。在一些实施方式中,压力通气孔形成于图6所示的壁922上,所述压力通气孔可对应于储液器盖子的顶部(参见图5)。在一些实施方式中,所述压力通气孔位于捕获腔室外部。换言之,所述压力通气孔不与捕获腔室的内部容积流体连通而是充当从储液器腔内部的容积引出的气体导管,其围绕流体储液器的外部表面。
明显的是,覆盖通气孔930的疏水膜934(参见图6和图7)可被延伸或以其他方式配置成也覆盖压力通气孔。因此,膜934便于储液器腔内部的气压补偿,同时还抑制流体或污染物进入储液器腔。虽然优选的是使用相同的膜934覆盖压力通气孔和通气孔930,但是应当理解的是,也可使用不同的疏水膜(如果期望的话)。
虽然上文已详细描述了至少一个示例性的实施方式,但是应当理解的是,存在大量变体。还应当理解的是,本文描述的示例性的实施方式无意以任何方式限定要求保护的主题的范围、实用性或配置。而且,前述详细描述将为本领域技术人员提供实施本文所述的实施方式的便捷指导。应当理解的是,在不背离权利要求所界定的范围的条件下,可对元件的功能和排布做出各种不同的改变,权利要求所述界定的范围包括在提交本申请时已知的等同范围和可预见的等同范围。
Claims (8)
1.流体导管组件,其包括:
储液器盖子(500),其包括主体下部(502a),该主体下部(502a)配置成容纳并连接流体储液器,该主体下部(502a)还配置成与流体输注设备(202)的外壳连接以将所述流体储液器密封在所述外壳内部;
捕获腔室(402,902),该捕获腔室一体形成于所述储液器盖子的主体下部(502a)中,所述捕获腔室(902)包括上壁(922)、形成于上壁(922)上的递送孔(920)、形成于上壁(922)上并围绕所述递送孔(920)分布的多个通气孔(930)、以及容纳来自所述流体储液器的流体的内部容积(906);
与所述内部容积(906)流体连通的入口(904),所述入口(904)形成于所述捕获腔室(902)的下壁上,所述下壁与所述捕获腔室(902)的上壁(922)相对;
所述捕获腔室(902)的第一出口排布(910),所述第一出口排布(910)适于液体从所述内部容积(906)中流出并且抑制气体从所述内部容积(906)中流出,所述第一出口排布(910)包括完全覆盖所述递送孔(920)的第一膜(924),所述第一膜(924)具有亲水性;
通过形成于所述上壁(922)上的递送孔(920)与所述第一出口排布(910)流体连通的中空管段(914);以及
所述捕获腔室(902)的第二出口排布(912),所述第二出口排布(912)适于气体从所述内部容积(906)中流出并且抑制液体从所述内部容积(906)中流出,所述第二出口排布(912)包括完全覆盖所述通气孔(930)的第二膜(934),所述第二膜(934)具有疏水性;
其中,所述第一膜(924)覆盖所述递送孔(920)而不干扰所述第二膜(934)也不干扰所述多个通气孔(930)中的任何一个;并且
其中,所述第二膜(934)包括围绕所述第一膜(924)的单个环形膜,不干扰所述第一膜(924)也不干扰所述递送孔(920)。
2.如权利要求1所述的流体导管组件,其中,所述捕获腔室的上壁和下壁彼此平行。
3.如权利要求1或2所述的流体导管组件,其包括与所述入口连接的中空针,其中,所述中空针与流体递送源相兼容,所述流体递送源通过所述中空针将流体递送至所述捕获腔室(402,902)的内部容积(906)。
4.如权利要求1或2所述的流体导管组件,其中,所述通气孔(930)通入围绕所述捕获腔室(402,902)的外部空间。
5.流体递送系统,其包括:
具有药物流体储液器的流体输注泵;和
与所述流体输注泵连接的以接受来自所述储液器的药物流体的前述权利要求中任一项所述的流体导管组件。
6.如权利要求5所述的流体递送系统,其中:
所述储液器盖子包括形成于其中的压力通气孔以补偿所述流体输注泵的外壳内部的压力;并且
所述压力通气孔通向所述捕获腔室(402,902)的外部。
7.如权利要求6所述的流体递送系统,其中,所述压力通气孔被疏水性膜覆盖。
8.如权利要求7所述的流体递送系统,其中,覆盖所述压力通气孔的疏水性膜与所述捕获腔室内的疏水性膜相同。
