Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a yarn recovery device for textile equipment.
Background
Yarn recovery devices are known which are suitable to be positioned upstream of a common textile machine in order to recover a portion of yarn previously assigned to the machine and then to return it at a later time.
EP1741817B1 in the name of the same applicant discloses a recovery device provided with a motorized rotating reel on which the yarn to be recovered can be wound. In the above-mentioned document, the reel has a continuous cylindrical outer surface. The yarn passes through a passage extending obliquely from the outer surface of the spool to the front surface of the spool.
As is known to those skilled in the art, in order to optimize the precision of the weaving (weaving) process, in particular with respect to controlling the mechanical tension of the yarn during feeding, it is very important that the various devices involved in the process have a high reaction speed and, therefore, that the moving parts provide a low inertia.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is to provide a yarn recovery device which, although based on an operating principle mechanically similar to that of the above-mentioned spinning reel device, has a structure that makes it possible to increase the speed of its operating response.
This and other objects that will become better apparent from the following description are achieved by a yarn recovery device having the following features: yarn recovery device comprising a support and a motorized yarn winding spindle which is brought into rotation with respect to the support and is axially delimited between a front end face and a rear end face, characterized in that the support integrally carries a first yarn guide bushing and a second yarn guide bushing which delimit a straight path through the spool obliquely with respect to the axis of the spool, and in that the spool has at least one radial recess which is open on the front end face and is suitable for being passed by the yarn inserted through the first and second yarn guide bushings. While the appended dependent claims define other features of the invention which are advantageous, although minor.
Drawings
The invention will now be described in more detail with reference to preferred but not exclusive embodiments thereof, which are shown for non-limiting example purposes in the accompanying drawings, wherein:
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a yarn recovery device according to the present invention;
FIG. 2 is a side view of the yarn recovery device of FIG. 1;
fig. 3 is a view similar to fig. 2, showing the yarn recovery device in a different active position.
Detailed Description
With reference to the figures, the yarn recovery device 10 is suitable to be arranged along a yarn feed line for recovering a portion of yarn previously distributed downstream to a common textile machine (for example a knitting (knotting) machine) or frame, and then returning it at a later time. For exemplary purposes only, the yarn recovery device 10 may be disposed between a yarn feeder (e.g., a storage yarn feeder or a rotating spool yarn feeder) and the textile machine, or may also be disposed upstream of the yarn feeder.
The yarn recovery device 10 comprises a motor 12 housed in a support 14 and provided with a drive shaft 16 (figure 2). The spool 18 is keyed on the drive shaft 16 and can be actuated in order to recover a portion of yarn previously distributed to the downstream machine by winding it on the spool 18.
The spool 18 is axially defined between a front end surface 18a and a rear end surface 18b facing the motor 12.
According to the invention, the support 14 carries integrally a first and a second yarn guide bushing 20, 22, the first and the second yarn guide bushing 20, 22 defining a straight path through the spool 18 inclined with respect to the axis a of the spool 18, and the spool 18 being provided with a plurality of radial recesses 24, the plurality of radial recesses 24 being open on the front end face 18a and adapted to be crossed by the yarn inserted through the first and the second yarn guide bushing 20, 22.
Preferably, the first and second yarn guide sleeves 20, 22 are arranged such that the path defined by them lies on a plane containing the axis a of the spool 18.
The first and second yarn guide sleeves 20, 22 are connected to each other by a bridge 25.
In the embodiment described herein, a spool 18 known per se is used, since it is used in positive yarn feeders, such as the one disclosed in EP 2218670 in the name of the same applicant.
The bobbin 18 comprises a frame molded from a synthetic material, preferably a thermoplastic material, such as nylon, with added carbon fibers. The frame has a hub (hub)28 and a plurality of spokes 30, the plurality of spokes 30 being equiangularly spaced and extending radially outwardly from the hub 28. Preferably, the spokes 30 have an aerodynamic profile in the direction of rotation. Respective arms 32 project from the outer ends of the spokes 30 and are generally parallel to the axis of the hub 28. The arm 32 also advantageously has an aerodynamic profile in the direction of rotation.
Preferably, the spokes 30 have a biconvex cross-sectional profile, while the arms 32 have a cross-sectional profile that is convex on the outer surface and slightly concave on the inner surface of the arms.
Thus, each of the radial recesses 24 through which the yarn can pass is delimited between two adjacent spoke-arm pairs.
The projections 34 are defined in the connection areas between the spokes 30 and the respective arms 32. The projection 34 extends obliquely outward relative to the axis of the spool 18 in a direction opposite the arm 32.
The free ends of the arms 32 are connected to a reinforcement ring 36, the reinforcement ring 36 defining a frame on the side of the rear end face 18 b.
Preferably, the reinforcement ring 36 is also made of a nylon-like thermoplastic material with the addition of carbon fibers.
The spool 18 is keyed to the drive shaft 16 with the intervention of a co-molded bushing insert 44 inserted in the hub 28. The bushing insert 44 is preferably made of aluminum and enables the spool 18 to be clamped onto the shaft 16 with force without spool deformation.
When not in use, the recovery device 10 is in the active configuration shown in figures 1 and 2, in which the yarn F can pass through a straight path passing, without interference, through the first yarn guide bushing 20, one of the radial recesses 24 defined between two adjacent pairs of spoke-arms, and the second yarn guide bushing 22.
To recover the yarn, the spool 18 is rotated in one direction, as shown in FIG. 3.
To return the yarn, the spool 18 is rotated in the opposite direction until it returns to the inactive position shown in fig. 1 and 2.
The system for controlling the rotation of the spool is not within the scope of the present invention and therefore is not discussed in detail herein. In any case, for the purpose of example, the same control system disclosed in EP1741817B1 mentioned in the introduction to the present description may be used.
Due to the aerodynamic profile of the spokes 30 and arms 32, the spool 18 according to the present invention has high structural rigidity, low inertia, and low aerodynamic drag. As the skilled person will readily understand, this fact contributes to the speed of reaction of the yarn recovery device to the operating instructions.
The purpose of the projection 34 is to prevent the loop of yarn wound on the spool 18 from falling off during the yarn recovery or return step.
Having described preferred embodiments of the invention, it will be apparent to one skilled in the art that various modifications and changes may be made therein without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
In particular, the above-described spool, known per se from yarn feeding devices, is particularly advantageous. However, it is also possible to provide a specially designed spool, provided that it has at least one radial recess opening on the front face, cooperating in the above-mentioned manner with two fixed bushes to allow the yarn to be wound.
