In step 203, in an embodiment, when the network device 11 determines that the network card chip currently downloading the firmware does not exist, the network device 11 starts a transmission channel between the network card chip to be processed and the storage module 114 storing the firmware, and performs power-on processing on the network card chip to be processed, so that the network card chip to be processed can start downloading the firmware from the storage module 114.
In step 204, in an embodiment, the network device 11 downloads the firmware for the network card chip to be processed through the transmission channel.
It will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that step 205 described below is an optional step.
In step 205, in an embodiment, the predetermined determination rule may be: and selecting one network card chip as the network card chip to be processed one by one from at least one network card chip recorded in the preset network card information list. The network device 11 determines the next network card chip to be processed from at least one network card chip recorded in the preset network card information list based on a preset determination rule.
In the embodiment of the invention, the network equipment determines whether the network card chip to be processed needs to download the firmware, when the network equipment determines that the network card chip to be processed needs to download the firmware, the network equipment determines whether the network card chip currently downloading the firmware exists, when the network equipment determines that the network card chip currently downloading the firmware does not exist, the network equipment starts a transmission channel between the network card chip to be processed and a storage module storing the firmware, and performs power-on processing on the network card chip to be processed, the network equipment downloads the firmware for the network card chip to be processed through the transmission channel, and the network equipment realizes the design requirement of downloading the same firmware for different network card chips by switching the transmission channel, thereby reducing the number of the storage modules storing the firmware, greatly reducing the cost of the network equipment and simultaneously reducing the design difficulty of a circuit board.
Fig. 3 is a flowchart of another firmware downloading method provided by the present invention, and in the embodiment of the present invention, with reference to fig. 1 and fig. 2, on the basis of steps 201 to 204, how a network device determines whether a network card chip to be processed needs to download firmware, and how the network device determines whether a network card chip currently downloading firmware exists is exemplarily described, as shown in fig. 3, the method includes the following steps:
step 301: and determining the network card chips to be processed from at least one network card chip recorded in the preset network card information list based on a preset determination rule, wherein each network card chip in the at least one network card chip corresponds to a state identifier, and the state identifiers are used for marking the downloading state of the network card chip downloading firmware corresponding to the state identifiers.
Step 302: and when the state identifier corresponding to the network card chip to be processed is a first preset identifier, determining that the network card chip to be processed needs to download the firmware, wherein the first preset identifier is used for marking the download state of the un-downloaded firmware, executing step 303, and when the state identifier corresponding to the network card chip to be processed is a second preset identifier, executing step 306.
Step 303: when it is determined that the network card chip to be processed needs to download the firmware, determining whether a state identifier identical to a third preset identifier exists in a preset network card information list, where the third preset identifier is used to mark a downloading state of the firmware being downloaded, executing step 304 when the state identifier identical to the third preset identifier does not exist in the preset network card information list, and executing step 305 when the state identifier identical to the third preset identifier exists in the preset network card information list.
Step 304: and determining that the network card chip for downloading the firmware does not exist currently.
Step 305: and determining that a network card chip for downloading the firmware currently exists.
Step 306: and determining that the network card chip to be processed does not need to download the firmware, wherein the second preset identifier is used for marking the downloading state of the downloaded firmware.
In step 301, the preset determination rule may be: and selecting one network card chip as a network card chip to be processed one by one from at least one network card chip recorded in a preset network card information list, wherein each network card chip in the at least one network card chip corresponds to a state identifier, and the state identifier is used for marking the downloading state of the network card chip downloading firmware corresponding to the state identifier. For example, the download status of downloaded firmware may be marked with a status identification "1", a status identification "0" marks the download status of un-downloaded firmware, and a status identification "-1" marks the download status of downloading firmware. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the status identifiers "0", "1" are exemplary only and do not limit the present invention.
In step 302, when the status identifier corresponding to the network card chip to be processed is the first preset identifier, combining step 301, taking the status identifier as "0", the first preset identifier as "0", and the network card to be processed as the network card chip 115 as an example, the network device 11 determines that the network card chip 115 needs to download the firmware, and performs step 303; taking the status identifier as "1", the second preset identifier as "1", and the network card to be processed as the network card chip 115, when the status identifier corresponding to the network card chip 115 is the second preset identifier "1", step 306 is executed. The first preset identifier "0" is used for marking the downloading state of the un-downloaded firmware, and the second preset identifier "1" is used for marking the downloading state of the downloaded firmware.
In step 303, with reference to step 302, taking the third preset identifier "-1" as an example, when the network device 11 determines that the network card chip 115 needs to download the firmware, the network device 11 determines whether a status identifier that is the same as the third preset identifier "-1" exists in the preset network card information list, where the third preset identifier "-1" is used to mark a downloading status of the firmware being downloaded, when the status identifier that is the same as the third preset identifier "-1" does not exist in the preset network card information list, step 304 is executed, and when the status identifier that is the same as the third preset identifier "-1" exists in the preset network card information list, step 305 is executed.
In step 304, when the status identifier that is the same as the third preset identifier "-1" does not exist in the preset network card information list, the network device 11 determines that a network card chip for downloading the firmware does not exist currently. For example, when the network device determines that the status identifiers corresponding to the current network card chip 116 and the network card chip 117 are not the third preset identifier, it indicates that there is no network card chip currently downloading firmware, and the network card chip 117 may open a transmission channel between the network card chip 115 and the storage module 114 storing firmware.
In step 305, when the state identifier that is the same as the third preset identifier "-1" exists in the preset network card information list, the network device 11 determines that a network card chip currently exists for downloading the firmware.
In step 306, when the status identifier corresponding to the network card chip 115 is the second preset identifier "1", the network device 11 determines that the network card chip to be processed does not need to download the firmware, and the second preset identifier is used to mark the download status of the downloaded firmware.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the network device 11 marks three downloading states of the un-downloaded firmware, the downloaded firmware, and the downloading firmware through the first preset identifier, the second preset identifier, and the third preset identifier, respectively, when the network device 11 determines that the network card chip 115 needs to download the firmware based on the preset network card information list and the state identifier, and there is no network card chip currently downloading the firmware, the network card chip 117 may open a transmission channel between the network card chip 115 and the storage module 114 storing the firmware, so as to ensure that the downloading process of the network card chip 115 does not interfere with the downloading process of the downloading firmware by other network card chips, and improve the safety and reliability of the firmware downloading.
