背景技术
响应于信息社会的发展,对用于显示图像的各种显示装置的需求正在增长。在这方面,诸如液晶显示(LCD)装置、等离子体显示面板(PDP)和有机发光显示装置的多种显示装置近来已经得以广泛使用。
在这种显示装置中,根据数据的灰度来控制显示面板的子像素的辉度(亮度),要控制的子像素是由扫描信号选择的。
具有特定灰度或更小灰度的数据由于各种原因(诸如用于显示装置的数据处理的有限数量的比特)而不能被成像。因此,可能会降低表现低灰度图像的能力。
发明内容
本公开内容的各个方面提供了一种可以提高表现低灰度图像的能力的定时控制器、数据驱动器、显示装置和驱动显示装置的方法。
还提供了一种使得能够通过数据偏移来表现低灰度图像的定时控制器、数据驱动器、显示装置和驱动该显示装置的方法。
还提供了一种使得能够在获得期望的亮度水平的同时表现低灰度图像的定时控制器、数据驱动器、显示装置和驱动该显示装置的方法。
根据本公开内容的一个方面,用于提高表现低灰度图像的能力的算法可以包括:将输入数据的灰度偏移K级灰度的偏移处理;以及数据偏移补偿处理,该数据偏移补偿处理使用偏移伽马查找表(LUT)来防止亮度改变,使得产生期望的亮度水平。

图1是示出根据示例性实施方案的显示装置100的配置的示意图。
参照图1,根据示例性实施方案的显示装置100包括显示面板110,在显示面板110上设置有多条数据线DL和多条栅极线GL。另外,在显示面板上,通过多条数据线DL和多条栅极线GL以矩阵的形式限定多个子像素SP。显示装置100还包括驱动多条数据线DL的数据驱动器电路(或数据驱动器)120、驱动多条栅极线GL的栅极驱动器电路(或栅极驱动器)130、以及控制数据驱动器电路120和栅极驱动器电路130的定时控制器(或T-CON)140。
定时控制器140通过向数据驱动器电路120和栅极驱动器电路130提供各种控制信号来控制数据驱动器电路120和栅极驱动器电路130。
定时控制器140基于由每个帧实现的定时开始扫描,将与主机10输入的图像数据相对应的输入数据转换成数据驱动器电路120可读的数据信号格式,输出转换后的图像数据,并且响应于扫描而控制在适当的时间点的数据处理。
数据驱动器电路120通过向多条数据线DL提供数据电压来驱动多条数据线DL。在本文中,数据驱动器电路120也被称为“源极驱动器电路”。
数据驱动器电路120可以包括一个或多个源极驱动器集成电路(SDIC)。
栅极驱动器电路130通过向多条栅极线GL依次提供扫描信号来依次驱动多条栅极线GL。在本文中,栅极驱动器电路130也被称为“扫描驱动器电路”。
栅极驱动器电路130可以包括一个或多个栅极驱动器集成电路(GDIC)。
栅极驱动器电路130在定时控制器140的控制下,向多条栅极线GL依次提供分别具有导通或关断电压的扫描信号。
当栅极驱动器电路130使得特定栅极线开路时,数据驱动器电路120将从定时控制器140接收的数据转换为模拟数据电压,并将模拟数据电压提供给多条数据线DL。
虽然在图1中数据驱动器电路120位于显示面板110的一侧(例如,上方或下方),但是根据驱动系统、设计等,数据驱动器电路120可以位于显示面板110的两侧(例如,上方和下方)。
虽然在图1中栅极驱动器电路130位于显示面板110的一侧(例如,右侧或左侧),但是根据驱动系统、设计等,栅极驱动器电路130可以位于显示面板110的两侧(例如,右侧和左侧)。
定时控制器140从主机10接收各种定时信号以及输入数据,各种定时信号包括垂直同步信号Vsync、水平同步信号Hsync、输入数据使能(DE)信号以及时钟信号。
定时控制器140通过接收包括垂直同步信号Vsync、水平同步信号Hsync、输入数据使能(DE)信号以及时钟信号的各种定时信号来生成各种控制信号,并且将各种控制信号输出至数据驱动器电路120和栅极驱动器电路130,以驱动数据驱动器电路120和栅极驱动器电路130。
例如,定时控制器140输出包括栅极起始脉冲(GSP)、栅极偏移时钟(GSC)和栅极输出使能(GOE)信号的各种栅极控制信号(GCS),以控制栅极驱动器电路130。
在此,GSP控制栅极驱动器电路130的一个或多个GDIC的操作起始定时。GSC是共同输入至一个或多个GDIC以控制扫描信号(栅极脉冲)的偏移定时的时钟信号。GOE信号指定一个或多个GDIC的定时信息。
此外,定时控制器140输出包括源极起始脉冲(SSP),源极采样时钟(SSC)和源极输出使能(SOE)信号的各种数据控制信号(DCS),以控制数据驱动器电路120。
在此,SSP控制数据驱动器电路120的一个或多个SDIC的数据采样起始定时。SSC是控制一个或多个SDIC的数据采样定时的时钟信号。SOE信号控制数据驱动器电路120的输出定时。
数据驱动器电路120的各个SDIC可以通过卷带自动接合(TAB)或玻璃上芯片(COG)接合而连接至显示面板110的接合区,可以直接设置在显示面板110上,或者在一些情况下可以与显示面板110集成。可替代地,各个SDIC可以通过膜上芯片(COF)方法安装在连接至显示面板110的膜上。
各个SDIC包括移位寄存器、锁存电路、数模转换器(DAC)、输出缓冲器等。
在一些情况下,各个SDIC还可以包括模数转换器(ADC)。
栅极驱动器电路130的各个GDIC可以通过卷带自动接合(TAB)或玻璃上芯片(COG)接合而连接至显示面板110的接合区,可以被实现为直接设置在显示面板110上的面板内栅极(GIP)型IC,或者在一些情况下可以与显示面板110集成。可替代地,各个GDIC可以通过膜上芯片(COF)方法安装在连接至显示面板110的膜上。
各个GDIC包括移位寄存器、电平转换器等。
根据示例性实施方案的显示装置100可以包括用于电路连接至数据驱动器电路120所需的一个或多个源极印刷电路板(S-PCB)和安装有控制部件和各种电子装置的控制印刷电路板(C-PCB)。
S-PCB中的每一个上可以安装有一个或多个SDIC,或者可以连接到安装有一个或多个SDIC的膜。
C-PCB上可以安装有定时控制器140、电力定时控制器等。定时控制器140控制数据驱动器电路120、栅极驱动器电路130等的操作,而电力定时控制器将各种电压或电流提供给显示面板110、数据驱动器电路120、栅极驱动器电路130等,或者控制对显示面板110、数据驱动器电路120、栅极驱动器电路130等的各种电压或电流的提供。
一个或多个S-PCB的电路可以借助于一个或多个连接构件连接至C-PCB的电路。
连接构件可以是柔性印刷电路(FPC)、柔性扁平电缆(FFC)等。
一个或多个S-PCB与C-PCB可以集成为单个印刷电路板(PCB)。
根据示例性实施方案的显示装置100可以是选自液晶显示(LCD)装置、有机发光显示装置、等离子体显示装置等的装置,但不限于这些装置。
设置在显示面板110上的子像素SP的结构可以根据显示装置100的类型而变化。
例如,当显示装置100是LCD装置时,各个子像素SP包括像素电极和晶体管。晶体管连接在像素电极和对应的数据线之间,由从对应的栅极线提供的扫描信号控制,并将从数据线提供的数据电压传送到像素电极。
在另一示例中,当显示装置100是有机发光显示装置时,各个子像素SP包括有机发光二极管(OLED)和用于驱动OLED的诸如驱动晶体管的电路部件。
各个子像素SP的电路部件的类型和数量可以根据功能、设计等不同地确定。
图2是示出根据示例性实施方案的显示装置100的示例性子像素结构的示意图。
图2示出在根据示例性实施方案的显示装置100是有机发光显示装置的情况下每个子像素SP的结构的示例。
参照图2,子像素SP基本上包括:有机发光二极管(OLED);驱动OLED的驱动晶体管DRT;第一晶体管T1,其由第一扫描信号SCAN1控制以将数据电压Vdata传送至与驱动晶体管DRT的栅极节点对应的第一节点N1;以及存储电容器Cst,其在单个帧的时段中保持与图像信号电压对应的数据电压或与数据电压对应的电压。
子像素SP还包括第二晶体管T2,以控制驱动晶体管DRT的第二节点N2的电压并感测驱动晶体管DRT或OLED的特性值。
OLED包括第一电极(例如阳极)、有机层、第二电极(例如阴极)等。
驱动晶体管DRT通过向OLED提供驱动电流来驱动OLED。
在驱动晶体管DRT中,第一节点N1可以电连接至第一晶体管T1的源极节点或漏极节点,或者可以是栅极节点。第二节点N2可以电连接至OLED的第一电极,或者可以是源极节点或漏极节点。第三节点N3可以电连接至驱动电压线DVL,或者可以是漏极节点或源极节点,其中通过驱动电压线DVL供应驱动电压EVDD。
第一晶体管T1电连接在数据线DL和驱动晶体管DRT的第一节点N1之间,并且由通过栅极线施加至第一晶体管T1的栅极节点的第一扫描信号SCAN1来控制。
第一晶体管T1可以通过第一扫描信号SCAN1接通,以将从数据线DL提供的数据电压Vdata传送至驱动晶体管DRT的第一节点N1。
第二晶体管T2电连接在驱动晶体管DRT的第二节点N2和参考电压线RVL之间,并且由第二扫描信号SCAN2(施加至第二晶体管T2的栅极节点的一种扫描信号)控制,其中,通过参考电压线RVL来提供参考电压Vref。
第二晶体管T2通过第二扫描信号SCAN2接通,以将通过参考电压线RVL提供的参考电压Vref施加至驱动晶体管DRT的第二节点。
存储电容器Cst电连接在驱动晶体管DRT的第二节点N2和第一节点N1之间。
存储电容器Cst不是寄生电容器(例如Cgs或Cgd),即形成在驱动晶体管DRT的第二节点N2和第一节点N1之间的内部电容器,而是有意设计成设置在驱动晶体管DRT外部的外部电容器。
驱动晶体管DRT、第一晶体管T1和第二晶体管T2可以实现为n型晶体管或p型晶体管。
第一扫描信号SCAN1和第二扫描信号SCAN2可以是分离的栅极信号。在这种情况下,第一扫描信号SCAN1和第二扫描信号SCAN2可以通过不同的栅极线施加至第一晶体管T1的栅极节点和第二晶体管T2的栅极节点。
可替代地,第一扫描信号SCAN1和第二扫描信号SCAN2可以是相同的栅极信号。在这种情况下,第一扫描信号SCAN1和第二扫描信号SCAN2可以通过同一栅极线施加至第一晶体管T1的栅极节点和第二晶体管T2的栅极节点。
驱动晶体管DRT、第一晶体管T1和第二晶体管T2可以实施为n型晶体管或p型晶体管。
在此,由于诸如用于定时控制器140的数据处理的有限比特数的限制,因此接收具有特定灰度或更小灰度的数据的子像素不能产生光。因此,可能降低表现低灰度图像的能力。
在这方面,示例性实施方案提出了一种用于表现低灰度的新颖算法,该算法能够通过防止表现低灰度的能力降低而改善图像的质量。
在下文中,首先,将参照图3和图4简要描述表现具有低灰度的图像的能力降低的现象以及该现象的原因。
图3和图4示出了表现具有低灰度的图像的能力降低的现象。
图3示出输入至定时控制器140的十二个子像素的输入数据的灰度,从定时控制器140输出的十二个子像素的输出数据的灰度以及实际显示的十二个子像素的灰度。
图4示出了基于灰度和亮度(nit)的伽马特性,其中,由虚线示出的伽马特性曲线410表示理想的伽马特性,而由实线示出的伽马特性曲线420表示实际测量的伽马特性。
参照图3,根据现有的显示方法,定时控制器140直接输出输入数据作为输出数据。
因此,由于用于数据处理的有限的比特数,因此在数据处理中,具有特定灰度或更小灰度的数据被处理为具有零灰度的数据。
在显示装置100是具有图2所示的子像素结构或根据其修改的子像素结构的有机发光显示装置的情况下,被提供了具有零灰度的数据的子像素SP的驱动晶体管DRT不接通,由此不产生光。
因此,如图3和图4所示,子像素不能使用具有特定K级灰度或更小灰度的数据来表现图像。
用作参考的特定K级灰度可以根据例如定时控制器140或SDIC可以处理的数据的比特数而变化,其中,基于该参考不能表现图像。
例如,当输入数据是8比特时,对于2.2伽玛处理,1级灰度被转换为(1/255)2.2,并且最终值可以根据定时控制器140可以内部处理的比特数而变化。当定时控制器140可以内部处理的比特是14比特时,输出值是(1/255)2.2×214,该值将被取整。
因此,因为1级灰度为约0.008,其被取整为0,因此1级灰度的输出值为0。此外,因为2级灰度为约0.382,其被取整为0,因此2级灰度的输出值为0。
另外,因为3级灰度为约0.932,其被取整为1,因此3级灰度的输出值为1。因此,理论上可以表现具有3级灰度或更大灰度的图像。然而,具有3级灰度的图像可能由于各种因素(例如面板偏差)而不能被表现。
当定时控制器140可以内部处理的比特数显著增加时,可以克服表现低灰度图像的能力的这种劣化。然而,由于需要诸如定时控制器140的高性能设计和存储器扩大的特定措施,所以该解决方案在技术、成本等方面难以执行。
尽管在明亮屏幕上观看者可能不容易识别亮度差异,但是当考虑到在暗屏幕上能够使人容易地识别亮度差异的人类视觉特性,表现低灰度图像的能力的这种劣化可能导致图像质量的显著劣化。
在下文中,将参照图5至图9描述能够通过防止表现低灰度图像的能力降低来改善图像质量的算法。
图5示出用于提高根据示例性实施方案的显示装置100的表现低灰度图像的能力的算法。
图6示出根据示例性实施方案的显示装置100的表现低灰度图像的能力得到提高的示例。
图7是示出通过使用用于提高根据示例性实施方案的显示装置100的表现低灰度图像的能力的算法进行数据偏移而偏移的伽马特性曲线720以及理想的伽马特性曲线710的灰度-亮度特性图,而图8是示出使用用于提高根据示例性实施方案的显示装置100的表现低灰度图像的能力的算法而改进的伽马特性曲线820以及没有应用用于提高表现低灰度图像的能力的算法的现有伽马特性曲线810的灰度-亮度特性图。
参照图5,用于提高表现低灰度图像的能力的算法包括数据偏移处理S510和数据偏移补偿处理S520。
数据偏移处理S510是将输入数据的灰度偏移K级灰度的处理。
根据数据偏移处理S510,具有n级灰度(其中n是等于或大于0的实数)的输入数据被偏移为具有比n级灰度大K级灰度(其中K是正整数)的m(=n+K)级灰度的数据。
也就是说,在数据偏移处理S510中,输入数据的n级灰度被偏移为(n+K)级灰度。
数据偏移补偿处理S520是如下处理:对数据偏移处理的结果进行补偿,以防止由于数据偏移处理而引起的亮度变化。
在数据偏移补偿处理S520中,使用定义偏移后的灰度和实际要表现的灰度之间的关系的“偏移伽马查找表(LUT)”500。
用于提高表现低灰度图像的能力的上述算法可以由例如定时控制器140或数据驱动器电路120来执行。
定时控制器140可以执行数据偏移处理S510,而数据驱动器电路120可以执行数据偏移补偿处理S520。
定时控制器140可以将具有n级灰度的输入数据偏移为具有比n级灰度大K级灰度的m(=n+K)级灰度的数据,然后将m级灰度的数据传送至数据驱动器电路120。
在此,K级灰度可以是包括在低灰度范围内的灰度。
数据驱动器电路120可以接收具有m级灰度的数据,将接收的数据转换为用于表现n级灰度的数据电压,并将数据电压输出至对应的数据线DL。
根据上述用于提高表现低灰度图像的能力的算法,可以表现具有K级灰度或更小灰度的数据的图像,这些图像不能常规地表现。此外,可以在保持期望的亮度水平的同时表现图像。因此,可以提高表现低灰度范围中的图像的能力。
数据驱动器电路120可以通过参考先前创建的偏移伽马LUT 500将具有m级灰度的数据转换成用于表现n级灰度的数据电压(数模转换),然后输出该数据电压。
偏移伽马LUT 500定义偏移后的灰度和要表现的灰度之间的关联。
如上所述,根据偏移伽马LUT 500的使用,可以高效地执行将m级灰度转换为用于表现n级灰度的数据电压(数模转换)以及输出转换的数据电压以防止亮度的意外变化的处理。
这里,可以根据用于定时控制器140的数据处理的比特数来确定K。此外,可以根据用于包括在数据驱动器电路120中的每个SDIC的数据处理的比特数来确定K。
例如,K可以被确定为满足式1的值。

在式1中,B是输入数据的比特数,α是预定的参考偏移灰度,β是预定的参考比特数。
例如,当α是3并且β是8时,即当参考输入数据是8比特并且参考偏移灰度是3级灰度时(即,当输入数据是8比特时,偏移3级灰度),式1可以变换为K≥3×2B-8
在这种情况下,当实际输入数据的比特数B是8时,可以在满足式K≥3×28-8=3的3个或更多个值之中确定K。另外,当实际输入数据的比特数为10时,可以在满足式K≥3×210 -8=12的12个或更多个值之中确定K。
在另一示例中,在α为12并且β为10的情况下,即,在参考输入数据为10比特并且参考偏移灰度为12级灰度的情况下(即,在当输入数据是10比特时偏移12级灰度的情况下),式1可以变换为K≥12×2B-10
在这种情况下,当实际输入数据的比特数B是10时,可以在满足式K≥12×210-10=12的12个或更多个值之中确定K。另外,当实际输入数据的比特数为12时,可以在满足式K≥12×212-10=48的48个或更多个值之中确定K。
如上所述,可以防止表现低灰度数据的能力由于用于定时控制器140的数据处理的有限比特数而降低。
此外,由于不会表现具有零灰度的数据,因此不会出现由于用于数据处理的有限比特数而无法表现图像的问题。
因此,当输入数据具有零灰度时,定时控制器140可以像具有较高灰度的数据一样偏移具有零灰度的输入数据,或者可以将具有零灰度的输入数据输出至数据驱动器电路120而不偏移输入数据。
当定时控制器140将具有零灰度的输入数据输出至数据驱动器电路120而不偏移输入数据时,数据驱动器电路120接收具有零灰度的数据。在这种情况下,可以在输出之前将具有零灰度的数据转换为用于表现零灰度的数据电压。
由于不对具有零灰度的数据执行数据偏移处理,因此可以有利地减轻处理负荷。
在下文中,将参照图6描述用于提高表现低灰度图像的能力的示例性算法。
参照图6,当通过将灰度偏移大小K设置为3来执行数据偏移处理时,在输入数据的灰度中,将除零灰度之外的所有灰度增加K级灰度。
因此,具有1级灰度、2级灰度、3级灰度和20级灰度的数据(输入数据)通过数据偏移处理被偏移为具有4级灰度、5级灰度、6级灰度和23级灰度的数据(输出数据)。
当使用具有4级灰度、5级灰度、6级灰度和23级灰度的偏移后数据来表现图像时,不能产生期望的亮度水平。
在这方面,如图7所示,数据偏移处理将理想的伽马特性曲线710转换为偏移的伽马特性曲线720,由此改变了亮度。
可以使用被设置成防止由于数据偏移处理引起的亮度变化的偏移伽马LUT 500。
因此,实际显示的灰度变得与初始期望的理想灰度相同。
这可以根据图8中所示的改进的伽马特性曲线820来理解,该改进的伽马特性曲线820基本上与图7中所示的理想伽马特性曲线710相同。
参照图8所示的没有应用用于提高表现低灰度图像的能力的算法的现有伽马特性曲线810,当灰度等于或小于K级灰度时,亮度为0。也就是说,在等于或小于K级灰度的灰度范围中,没有图像被表现。在此,图8所示的现有伽马特性曲线810与图4中所示的实际测量的伽玛特性曲线420相同。
然而,参照应用了用于提高表现低灰度图像的能力的算法的改进伽马特性曲线820,具有等于或小于K级灰度的灰度的数据具有微小的亮度值而不是0。因此,可以精确地表现灰度等于或小于K级灰度的图像。
图9示出了应用了用于提高表现低灰度图像的能力的算法的根据示例性实施方案的显示装置100的子像素的发光特性。
参照图9,当没有应用用于提高表现低灰度图像的能力的算法(即,既不使用数据偏移处理也不使用偏移伽马LUT 500)时,与具有1到K级灰度的图像数据对应的子像素SP不产生光。
相比之下,在使用用于提高表现低灰度图像的能力的算法来执行数据偏移处理的情况下,当具有等于或小于K级灰度的灰度的数据(即具有1至K级灰度的数据)被输入至定时控制器140时,与具有K级灰度或更小灰度的数据相对应的子像素SP可以产生光。
然而,当仅应用数据偏移处理时,对应的子像素SP的亮度可能改变。
因此,当另外使用偏移伽马LUT 500时,对应的子像素SP可以产生期望水平的亮度。
在下文中,将简要地描述应用了上述用于提高表现低灰度图像的能力的算法的驱动显示装置100的方法以及显示装置100的定时控制器140和数据驱动器电路120。
图10是示出根据示例性实施方案的驱动显示装置100的方法的流程图。
参照图10,根据示例性实施方案的驱动显示装置100的方法包括:步骤S1010,接收具有n级灰度(其中n是等于或大于0的实数)的数据;步骤S1020,将具有n级灰度的数据偏移为具有比n级灰度大K级灰度的m(=n+K)级灰度的数据(其中K是正整数);以及步骤S1030,通过参考偏移伽马LUT 500、使用具有m级灰度的数据来表现具有n级灰度的数据。
根据上述驱动方法,可以通过应用用于提高表现低灰度图像的能力的算法来表现常规不能表现的图像数据,该图像数据具有等于或小于K级灰度的灰度。此外,可以在保持期望亮度水平的同时表现图像。由此,可以显著提高表现低灰度图像的能力。
在此,步骤S1030通过参考先前创建的偏移伽马LUT 500将具有m级灰度的数据转换为用于表现n级灰度的数据电压并将该数据电压输出至对应的数据线DL,由此来表现n级灰度。
由此,可以防止由于步骤S1020中的数据偏移处理而引起的亮度的意外变化。
图11是示出根据示例性实施方案的显示装置100的定时控制器140的框图。
参照图11,根据示例性实施方案的显示装置100的定时控制器140包括:数据输入电路1110,其接收具有n级灰度(其中n是等于或大于0的实数)的数据;数据偏移电路1120,其将具有n级灰度的数据偏移为具有比n级灰度大K级灰度的m(=n+K)级灰度的数据(其中K是正整数);以及数据输出电路1130,其输出具有m级灰度的数据。
使用定时控制器140可以防止不能表现低灰度图像的问题。
图12是示出根据示例性实施方案的显示装置100的数据驱动器电路120的框图。
参照图12,根据示例性实施方案的显示装置100的数据驱动器电路120包括数据接收电路1210和数据电压输出电路1220。数据接收电路1210接收具有m级灰度的数据,而数据电压输出电路1220通过参考偏移伽马LUT 500将数据转换为用于表现比m级灰度小K级灰度的n(=m-K)级灰度的数据电压,并将该数据电压输出至对应的数据线DL。
使用数据驱动器电路120可以提高亮度的精度,同时使得能够由于定时控制器140的数据偏移而在低灰度范围中表现图像。
如上所述,根据示例性实施方案,定时控制器140、数据驱动器120、显示装置100和驱动显示装置的方法可以提高表现低灰度图像的能力。
此外,根据示例性实施方案,定时控制器140、数据驱动器120、显示装置100和驱动显示装置的方法使得能够通过数据偏移来表现低灰度图像。
此外,根据示例性实施方案,定时控制器140、数据驱动器120、显示装置100和驱动显示装置的方法使得能够在获得期望亮度水平的同时表现低灰度图像。

Claims (8)

1.一种显示装置,包括:
显示面板,在所述显示面板上设置有多条数据线、多条栅极线以及由所述多条数据线和所述多条栅极线限定的多个子像素;
驱动所述多条数据线的数据驱动器电路;
驱动所述多条栅极线的栅极驱动器电路;以及
控制所述数据驱动器电路和所述栅极驱动器电路的定时控制器,
其中,所述定时控制器将具有n级灰度的数据偏移为具有m级灰度的数据,并且将所述具有m级灰度的数据传送到所述数据驱动器电路,其中,所述m级灰度比所述n级灰度大K级灰度,n是等于或大于0的实数,K是正整数,m为n+K,
其中,所述数据驱动器电路接收所述具有m级灰度的数据并且通过参考偏移伽马查找表将所述具有m级灰度的数据转换为用于表现所述n级灰度的数据电压,并且将所述用于表现所述n级灰度的数据电压输出至所述多条数据线中的对应数据线。
2.根据权利要求1所述的显示装置,其中,所述偏移伽马查找表定义偏移后的灰度和要表现的灰度之间的关联。
3.根据权利要求1所述的显示装置,其中,当所述定时控制器接收具有等于或小于所述K级灰度的灰度的数据时,所述多个子像素中的与具有等于或小于所述K级灰度的灰度的数据对应的子像素产生光。
4.根据权利要求1所述的显示装置,其中,所述K级灰度包括在低灰度范围内。
5.根据权利要求1所述的显示装置,其中,K由输入数据的比特数确定。
6.根据权利要求5所述的显示装置,其中,K是在满足公式K≥α×2B-β的值之中确定的,其中,B是输入至所述定时控制器的数据的比特数,α是预定的参考偏移灰度,并且β是预定的参考比特数。
7.根据权利要求1所述的显示装置,其中,
当输入至所述定时控制器的数据具有零灰度时,所述定时控制器将具有零灰度的数据输出至所述数据驱动器电路,而不对所述具有零灰度的数据进行偏移,以及
所述数据驱动器电路将接收到的具有零灰度的数据转换为用于表现零灰度的数据电压,并输出所述数据电压。
8.一种驱动显示装置的方法,所述显示装置包括:显示面板,在所述显示面板上设置有多条数据线、多条栅极线以及由所述多条数据线和所述多条栅极线限定的多个子像素;驱动所述多条数据线的数据驱动器电路;驱动所述多条栅极线的栅极驱动器电路;以及控制所述数据驱动器电路和所述栅极驱动器电路的定时控制器,所述方法包括:
接收具有n级灰度的数据,其中,n是等于或大于0的实数;
将所述具有n级灰度的数据偏移为具有m级灰度的数据,其中,所述m级灰度比所述n级灰度大K级灰度,K是正整数,并且m为n+K;以及
通过参考偏移伽马查找表将所述具有m级灰度的数据转换为用于表现所述n级灰度的数据电压,并且将所述用于表现所述n级灰度的数据电压输出至所述多条数据线中的对应数据线。
